Tumblr media
꒰ CONTENTS ꒱ ; aouad characters having a crush on you !
NOTICE ༘ this is one of my first time writing anything at all, so if this is corny or bad in anyway, I’m so sorry.
INCLUDES ⊱ Cheol-soo, Gyeong-su, Su-hyeok, Joon-yeong, Woo-jin.
Tumblr media
CHEOL SOO
- I feel like with him, he’d make it so obvious. Even if he doesn’t mean to.
- he’d ask his friends (just Eun-ji) what you did in class, stuff like “did y/n talk to anyone??” “What did y/n do in class?”
- Eun-ji’s put up with various talks about how your “so attractive and smart” and how your “kind and popular”.
- he seems like the type to feed random stray animals, he’ll ramble about you to like any street cat or dog.
- anytime he sees you he smiles, though his face quickly contorts back to a frown once you make eye contact for some reason. It’s like his weird reflex.
- whenever your around him, he feels all sweaty, he gets so worked up over it he turns fully red.
- if he ever were to find out if you did like him back, he’d only be more awkward. Something as small as bumping into you would make him apologize five times over because he’s scared you’ll hate him afterwords.
—————-
Tumblr media
HAN GYEONG-SU
- he thinks your extremely attractive. Anytime he sees you passing by him in the halls, he’ll immediately tell Cheong-san about it.
- is the type to change his whole walking routine to class just to see you.
- he’s told Cheong-sans mom about you already, he likes talking about you while eating at their restaurant, he’s a complete yapper. Sometimes, Cheong-san’s mom is almost surprised he’s not done with his fifth plate since he’s been talking about you for so long he’s forgotten to eat.
- he gets confident enough to make a move on you first, though, he gets rejected almost immediately. “Hey, I think you’re really pretty, do you wanna go out sometime?” And you, fully believing he was joking, said no.
- he looks absolutely mortified at this, especially since his friends had been hyping him up five seconds ago.
- he gets repetitive with it, maybe he asked you on a bad day, right? So he asks again, and during this time, you finally realize it wasn’t a joke, and you say yes.
- during your guys’ small date, he’s barley able to contain his excitement. Poor boy can’t even pay attention to what you’re saying with how much he’s admiring you.
——————
Tumblr media
LEE SU-HYEOK
- because he likes you, he tries to impress you anyway he can. He’ll be laughing about something immature with his friends one second, the minute you walk by he’s leaning against a wall or something trying to seem nonchalant.
- whenever your names brought up, he’s invested in the conversation immediately. “Oh y/n?? Yeah, they’re cool.”
- if he follows you on any socials, and you post a picture of yourself, he’ll screenshot it and send it to his friends just to mope about how your too attractive for him, and how he wants you to be his.
- one time, someone brought up that you like guys who are smart, the second he got home he posted a photo on his instagram about him ‘studying’ (no studying got done) just so you would see his story
- sometimes, you’ll accidentally like his story, once he gets the notification, he’s all cheerful and happy, but when he goes to show his friends the next day and realizes you unliked it, he’s the saddest he’s ever been.
- he’s not one to post himself on instagram, but he’ll do it when he sees your active, he mostly only makes moves online, he’s too scared to actually talk to you at all in real life.
- when he finally does get the courage to talk to you, it’s probably about some “do you understand this?” In class, and he’s so excited you actually replied back that he’ll talk about it the rest of the week.
—————
Tumblr media
OH JOON-YEONG
- he likes you because your both attractive and smart, he admires it a lot.
- he shows off to his friends when your around. If you guys had a recent exam, and your around, he’ll brag about how he got a high score.
- dae-su and woo-jin quickly catch onto his crush, they’ll both try to put him on with you.
- dae-su likes pushing him towards you when you’re walking by him in the halls, and woo-jin likes screaming, ‘my friend thinks your cute’.
- he has to ask woo-jin very VERY politely for your instagram, he’ll try texting you by pretending to like what you do, and he tries to mix up a nonchalant tone in it.
- he gets flustered when someone in his friend group mentions your name and everyone turns to look at him.
- when he finds out you like him, he’s overwhelmed with joy, every time he walks by you in the halls, he waves at you, sometimes he even likes walking with you to class if you have the same teacher.
Tumblr media
JANG WOO-JIN
- when he has a crush on you, he’s very nonchalant about it, he’s fine with texting you, and sometimes he’s confident enough to give you a compliment when you post a photo of yourself.
- he’s so confident with himself, one day, he asks you to hang out with him, only for his confidence to immediately be thrown out the window once he sees your friends laughing, which he thinks is at him. (Your friends are laughing because your face is red when he asks you to hang out.)
- after a while though, he gets tired of being afraid to talk to you, so he eventually starts hanging out with you at school, he’s pretty chill with your friends, who know about his crush on you and your crush on him.
- he’s not really an artsy person, but he’ll do some crafts and then give the final product to you, explaining how he just made it randomly but didn’t like it (he spent five hours on it and had to make it perfect to give to you.)
- while walking past you in the halls, his friends will give him weird looks, saying ‘look who it is’ or screaming stuff like ‘Woo-jin is that your girlfriend??’ To tease him even if you guys aren’t dating (yet).
- every saturday he plays roblox horror games with you
- absolute d1 yapper, if you’ll give him the time of day, he’ll just say what’s on his mind. He really likes how you listen to him, he can tell you’re actually listening and invested in what he has to say, not trying get him to shut his mouth.

Star Crossed - Chapter 9

The Star Crossed Masterlist
My All Of Us Are Dead Masterlist
My Navigation and Masterlist
Warnings: Normal AOUAD things, Gwi-nam Word Count: 4,890
As you looked up, you saw the one and only Gwi-nam running across the rooftop towards Cheong-san who was running towards him too. They slammed into each other and Gwi-nam got the better of the situation by slamming Cheong-san onto the ground on his back.
“Cheong-san!”
Su-hyeok screamed for his friend, getting up right after you had and running towards the two.
Cheong-san yelled in agony and you looked around for something to do. You couldn’t bring yourself to fight him. You couldn’t fight your brother, no matter what he was doing to your friends.
On-jo had run up to Gwi-nam from behind him and grabbed ahold of his jacket, trying to pull him off without success until she was slung away and landed right in front of you. You, along with Hyo-ryung and Ji-min, helped her up as she winced in pain. You lifted her shirt slightly to assess the damage and luckily there didn’t seem to be anything too bad. At the most, it would probably just bruise.
You heard more grunts and looked up just in time to see Gwi-nam kick Su-hyeok monstrously into a pile of metal chairs. You let go of On-jo to run to him but as soon as you did she almost fell to the ground. Cursing, you picked her back up and held her up with her arm around your shoulder. You looked up to take a good look at the person you had called your brother for all your life and didn’t recognize him. Blood covered his chin and jacket. It was fresh and looked like he had just eaten somebody. You would be terrified of him being an actual full-fledged zombie if it weren’t for how conscious and aware he seemed to be.
Joon-yeong, thankfully, ran over to help out Su-hyeok who was gasping for breath and you mentally expressed your gratitude towards him.
Gwi-nam looked around and skimmed over who was standing in front of him, his eyes glancing over you before he did a double take. His face switched rapidly between emotions; his asshole, tough-guy, dead-eyed face changed to one of confusion, then concern, then relief, until finally, it ended on annoyance.
“(Y/n)? What the fuck are you doing with these assholes?” He asked you and took a few steps towards you but you got dragged back by On-jo, who had gotten her strength back, Hyo-ryung, and Ji-min. All three of them pushed you behind them and you would have given a smile at them for their protectiveness but this was not the time. Gwi-nam scoffed and you stepped out in front of the three girls but On-jo and Ji-min grabbed onto your right arm while Hyo-ryung grabbed onto your left to hold you back.
“Guys. Let me go,” you ordered them in the most terrifying and monotone voice you could muster, but it had no effect. While you didn’t regret telling them about how your act was just that, an act, you wished you had done it at a time later than this moment.
Gwi-nam scoffed at your friends’ actions and stayed in his spot, glancing back over to everyone else. He sighed. “Who are you?” He asked them in a voice fringing on being bored to death.
“What the hell are you? You come from the One Heart club?” Dae-su asked seriously and Gwi-nam looked behind him at the back of his jacket before stuffing his hands into his pockets with an arrogant smirk on his face. “It's me. Yeah.” When everyone continued to look confused, his smirk dropped. “You don't know? How the fuck do you not know me?”
“I know you. I said it many times before.”
“Cheong-san don’t!” You warned him and tried fruitlessly to escape the tight grips of the girls behind you. Despite not using their strength often, they were pretty strong.
“You're the bullies' gopher,” Cheong-san ignored your warnings and Gwi-nam raised a hand while taking a threatening step forward.
He pointed the hand he used to threaten to hit him with to point at him as he spoke out a warning. “If you call me that again, I'll kill you.”
“You weren't a gangster and you weren't a good student. And now you're not a human and you're not a zombie either. No matter the time or place… you're nothing.”
Gwi-nam scoffed and clicked his tongue before a menacing smile was set on his face. “I won't just kill you. I'll gouge out both of your eyes and feed your blind ass to the zombies. Oh, yeah,” he promised. He looked around at the group as he spoke again. “Everyone but Cheong-san and (Y/n), can go. Unless you wanna die with this fucker.”
“What do you want with (Y/n)?” Cheong-san questioned and Gwi-nam shot him a look like he was stupid.
“She’s my little fucking sister, asshole. Even if you somehow fucking killed me, I’ll still make sure she gets out of here alive,” he promised and it reminded you of how he would always protect you against your abusive father. Except this time, he’s protecting you against zombies… while promising to feed your friend to them…
Lovely.
When no one moved from their spots, standing with Cheong-san even after Gwi-nam took a warning step forward, the boy tilted his head slightly, annoyed. “You're all dead.” He then raced forward to charge for Cheong-san who met him halfway and they scuffled. You squirmed with all of your might against the tight grips of your friends but they only loosened slightly until they continued to wrap tightly around your arms. Ji-min did let go to rush forward and help the boys as they fought but Hyo-ryung and On-jo held strong.
Joon-yeong got flung backwards and landed on his back, groaning and his glasses flew off his face and onto the ground beside him.
Cheong-san got kicked towards you and Ji-min helped him up as Gwi-nam took menacingly slow steps forward until Su-hyeok appeared from behind him with a wooden portrait holder used for painting and slammed it against his back. Gwi-nam spun around to face him and quickly dodged a hit from Su-hyeok before grabbing ahold of his neck and forcing him backward to the edge of the roof.
“Gwi-nam! Stop!” You begged but he did nothing of the sort.
Luckily, Su-hyeok was a skilled fighter. He jumped up and kicked Gwi-nam’s torso backward, making him lean back in an odd, inhuman, contorted way. His feet were still planted on the floor but his upper body levitated above the ground. His spine looked like it snapped in half. His bones crunched as he lifted himself back up and started walking towards Su-hyeok again. At his first step forward, you remembered a self-defense mechanism Su-hyeok had told you once.
If you make yourself dead weight, it will make it harder for people to keep a hold of you.
You dropped your body weight to the floor, On-jo and Hyo-ryung scrambling to keep a hold of you but you escaped too quickly for them and ran towards your brother, jumping on his back and putting him in a chokehold. It wouldn’t do anything to him, you knew this, but just like you couldn’t bear to hurt him, he couldn’t bear to hurt you either.
Or so you thought.
Gwi-nam grabbed hold of you and threw you over his shoulder towards the corner of the roof.
“Do yourself a favor, and stay the fuck out of this (Y/n/n),” he warned. Your breath was knocked out of your lungs harshly and you wheezed while simultaneously holding your leg where you had scraped the skin of your knee extremely harshly. Blood seeped out all across the concrete beneath you. At the metallic scent, Gwi-nam’s head redirected back to you from where it had been focused on Su-hyeok. “(Y-Y/n)?” Gwi-nam hesitantly took a step towards you, his anger and murderous face taking up that of a concerned brother once again.
Up until Nam-ra walked up behind him and slammed him across the back with a stick set aflame. He turned back to look at her and grabbed her neck, lifting her above the ground.
“Nam-r-ra…!” You tried to weakly scream her name but you still hadn’t regained your breath. Su-hyeok ran over to you, lifting your upper body into his lap as he checked you over but you kept your eyes on the fight between your brother and your best friend. Gwi-nam smacked her down but she was insistent and stabbed the broken stick into his leg when he started moving in your direction again. He groaned and took the broken stick out of his leg, aiming for Nam-ra but she fought against him and held onto his arm.
“Let go,” he started thrashing around but she didn’t let go of him. “Let go!” He punched her across the face and she fell to the ground but kept her hold on his arm. He then lifted her up and slammed her back against the ground a few times before finally breaking her hold. He lifted her up and off the ground by grabbing ahold of her hair to bring them face to face.
They spoke in hushed tones that you couldn’t hear until Nam-ra threw Gwi-nam near the wall of the roof. He barely wasted a second before getting back up. Su-hyeok, who had gently set you back down onto the ground, stood up, ready to fight. He kicked the back of his knees and punched him before getting slammed against the edge of the roof by Gwi-nam. Nam-ra, out of instinct to protect her new friend, grabbed ahold of Gwi-nam and threw him over the edge of the roof.
You watched with mixed emotions as he disappeared over the edge of the roof’s wall and closed your eyes.
“Fuck.”
Everyone took a sigh of relief after that, even you. You dragged yourself to be leaning against the wall and looked down at your legs. One was worse than the other but they both still hurt like shit. The skin was torn up around your knees and upper calves and for the time being, you weren’t able to walk or stand.
You took your shoes off and grabbed ahold of a sharp wooden stick from beside you, using it to cut one of the knee-high socks you were wearing at the ankle. You pulled the sock up to cover the wounds and folded them in half so they would be tighter and prevent any more blood loss. They stained red instantly from how much you were bleeding but you didn’t care. Nam-ra walked up to kneel next to you and took the stick from your hand before doing the other leg for you. You could see the guilt and regret on her face so you covered one of her shaking hands with your own.
“It was the best thing to do,” you told her and she nodded before focusing back on covering your wounds. After that, you put both of your shoes back on and tried to stand but collapsed. Su-hyeok, who had been standing by to give the two of you your space, ran forward and helped you up after the first failed attempt. “Su-hyeok, I’m fine. I just wasn’t expecting it,” you told him through gritted teeth after a certain movement made your legs sting like hell.
“No. You’re not fine, and don’t pretend like you are.”
“You got thrown around way more times than me! You should be helping yourself!” You protested but he just scoffed and rolled his eyes before picking you up princess-style and carrying you over to the fire.
“I was thrown around more and yet you come out more beaten up than all of us combined. Let me take care of you for once, yeah?”
You looked away and huffed, ignoring the heat rising to your cheeks and reluctantly thanking Su-hyeok when he set you down in front of the fire, carefully helping you into a sitting position before sitting next to you and stretching out his shoulder.
“Damn, it stings!” Dae-su complained about his own wounds and you looked over at him.
“You doing alright, Dae-su? You got thrown around too…” Your eyes roamed over his growing bruises with a noticeable look of guilt.
“Yeah, I’m alright (Y/n),” he reassured you with a smile and you returned it as you listened to Joon-yeong and Cheong-san’s conversation after Joon-yeong gave up on fixing his glasses.
“What the hell is with that Gwi-nam kid?” Joon-yeong asked him. “You said he got bitten.”
“I don't know,” Cheong-san admitted. “It looks like he became something totally different.”
“I don't think he can die,” Su-hyeok spoke up.
“What will we do if he climbs back up here again? None of us are in any shape to take him on again…” You trailed off and everyone nodded in agreement.
“He's bad enough… but to be honest, I'm scared of Nam-ra too,” Ji-min admitted. “You saw her fighting before.”
“Nam-ra was literally just fighting out there to help save you guys. How could you still accuse her like this? I understand how you’re scared but she’s proven herself over and over again. How about a little trust?” You begged Ji-min and she gave you a half-hearted shrug, unsure if she would take your words seriously.
“Well… I think it's reasonable to assume they're both half-bies-” Dae-su started until Hyo-ryung elbowed him in the gut and he grunted. “What?” He whispered to her.
Ji-min turned to Nam-ra. “Are you really okay, Nam-ra?” She asked. “You won't do that to us, right?” She asked again when she didn’t answer the first time.
“Would you believe me if I said that I wouldn't?” Nam-ra asked rhetorically.
“Why do you have to say it that way? Can you at least try to make us believe you? We're going to be together anyway,” Ji-min complained.
Nam-ra took a deep breath and sighed before looking back up at JI-min who had looked down to stare at the fire that was slowly burning out.
“I… I've never done anything but study. I don't think I was naive, I think I was a coward,” she looked down at her hands as Ji-min looked back up at her. “I was too scared my grades would drop and my mom would get mad. So I didn't do anything. I was too scared to make friends. My mom would always ask me what rank they were in class, what their parents did, how big their house was… I never even told her about (Y/n) who I’ve been friends with for over a year now,” she paused for a moment. “I never thought I'd get a chance to sit around a fire with all of you like this. It's really nice. It's my first time,” she looked up and glanced around at the group with a smile. “If we somehow manage to get out of here. I really hope we can make a fire… and hang out like this again. I really hope we can do that.”
“Sure, let's do it,” On-jo agreed and looked over to Nam-ra, their eyes locking and both smiling softly at each other. “If anyone wants to make a fire… we can all get together,” On-jo promised and you smiled to yourself.
“Sorry, Nam-ra,” Ji-min apologized and you smiled, liking how everyone has come to see Nam-ra the way you’ve been seeing her for your whole friendship. Nam-ra looked down and chuckled softly with a smile.
“Ooh. Did you just smile?” Dae-su joked. “Super awkward.”
“God, come on,” Hyo-ryung whispered and looked at Dae-su with irritation.
“What now? What?” He asked her, confusion and annoyance mixing.
“Why don't you two just date already?” Wu-jin asked. “You guys are so annoying.”
“Are you crazy?”
“Psycho.”
They both spoke at the same time and you just chuckled at their similarities. If they just got over themselves, they would be a genuinely good couple.
“Hold on.”
Everyone looked over at Nam-ra as she spoke and she looked pensive, almost hopeful.
“Did you hear that?” She asked and looked around at everyone, her eyes wide.
“No, what is it?” Su-hyeok asked her calmly, one hand rested on your thigh right above your wound where he rubbed tiny circles on your skin and created butterflies in your stomach.
“What? Is someone out there?” Hyo-ryung also asked, more worried and scared.
“Oh fuck, not again,” you complained and mentally prepared yourself for the pain that would come with standing up.
Nam-ra looked off into the distance with an expecting gaze. “Listen.”
Everyone’s heads snapped in the same direction and they gasped.
You focused your hearing on something, you weren’t sure what but you remained focused even as the group questioned the silence. Suddenly, you heard the familiar sound of wind whirring.
“Wait… Is that a helicopter?” You asked and stood up abruptly, Su-hyeok right beside you to help you remain balanced. Your left foot didn’t hurt as much, it was just your right that was debilitatingly painful. The others stood up after you and you all saw lights in the distance. Cheong-san walked towards the edge and looked off to see the helicopter heading straight for the school.
“Hey…” He stated and ran back towards the campfire to grab a lit stick. “Fire!”
“Yeah, yeah! They see us! They're coming!” Wu-jin expressed and everyone started waving their hands in the air frantically. Su-hyeok handed you off to Nam-ra who held you tightly meanwhile he also waved his hands around and screamed.
Everyone started screaming at the same time, all pleading for them to come over. Dae-su even ran up to the edge and stood on a crate to raise his body as he yelled. Joon-yeong frantically ran up behind him to make sure he didn’t fall. “This way! This way! Look over here!”
“Look at us, will you?”
“Come save us!”
“Here!”
When the helicopter grew closer so it was hovering above the roof, everyone started cheering in happiness and jumping up and down. Su-hyeok came back over to help support you and Nam-ra let go in favor of covering her ears from how loud the wind was. You all continued to celebrate when you all saw four soldiers dressed in black gear slide down two ropes they threw out from the aircraft, two at a time, and land on the roof with you. Once they were down, they pointed their guns at you and you all backed up in confusion and fear, the cheering and thanking stopping immediately. The helicopter they came down from slowly rose up again and flew away and you all stood with your hands in the air, confused.
“Get down. All of you,” one of the soldiers commanded but you all stood still, unmoving.
Dae-su spoke first and asked the soldiers, “Sir. Can you please help us?” They all aimed their guns directly at him threateningly and screamed out orders.
“Face down on the ground! Get down!”
Slowly, each of you lowered yourselves to the ground, Su-hyeok helping you before following, and you all were on the ground, lying on your stomachs. They started walking around and pressing a device near your necks. It beeped after a second and the soldier then repeated a number. You guessed they were thermometers and just prayed for Nam-ra to still be as warm as she was earlier today. You looked over at Nam-ra and saw her using her hair to cover her reddened eye.
When the soldier made his way around to you, you tensed as he held the thermometer up to your neck.
“35.2° C. This one also needs medical attention to her legs. Providing warming blanket and first aid kit now.”
They continued going around, checking each person’s temperature while one soldier ran to get the warming blanket and first aid kit for you. Su-hyeok came rushing forward to assist you with the cleaning and bandaging process after he was cleared and got permission to do so from the soldiers. You watched him as he wiped down your knee, trying not to think of the sting, and saw the thermometer light up in red as the soldier checked Nam-ra. You held your breath as he spoke. “34.5°. Providing a warming blanket.”
You let out a sigh of relief as one of the other soldiers came back with another metallic blanket and wrapped it around her back.
“We'll rescue them after the mission's complete. Over,” one of the soldiers announced and the others nodded their heads. “You can get up now.”
Everyone slowly stood to rise, Su-hyeok helping you when you almost stumbled. Your legs were better now with the help of the medical equipment but they were still painful to move
“Are you the only survivors?” One asked.
“We don't really know,” Cheong-san spoke for the group. “There are probably others.”
The soldier nodded. “We're going down for a few minutes. Wait right here.”
“Are you not gonna rescue us?” Ji-min shoved her way forward and asked them, doubt leaking from her bold tone.
“Yes, we will,” they reassured. “So don't go anywhere. Don't do anything. Just wait here. Understand?” Everyone murmured their agreement and the man who you assumed was the highest rank turned to the other three soldiers. “Let's go.”
Ji-min looked defeated and you reached forward to grab her hand. She jumped in surprise as she looked back at you but then relaxed and rested a hand over the one you had on her arm. You could see she was trying not to cry.
One soldier stayed behind as the other three went into the school. You were confused about what they were doing. Why would they willingly go into the school? You decided not to pay attention to it and just turned to Nam-ra who was holding her eye in pain with one hand while the other held the blanket around her shoulders.
“Hey,” you asked and she turned to you. “Are you okay?” You gestured to her eye and she just gave a slight nod.
“I think so.”
You nodded and thought you should save your strength so you sat down, Su-hyeok helping you and sitting beside you. After a while, the three soldiers came back up, safe and sound, and the helicopter moved over to the same place it was when it dropped them down onto the roof. One soldier reached into his bag and pulled out a harness.
“Master Sergeant. You go up first,” one of the soldiers commanded.
“Yes, sir,” he agreed and ran to the rope, but your eyes didn’t follow him as the other soldier spoke again and gained your attention.
“We'll pull you up one at a time,” he explained. Nam-ra had sat down next to you at some point and was holding her ears this time in pain from the loud wind that must have been even louder with her new bodily functions. You reached over to wrap the falling blanket around her shoulders, tucking it around her so it stayed in place, and then wrapped your arm around her shoulder, trying to do as much as you could to stop her from feeling too much pain. “Stay still even if you're scared. Okay?”
“You're not landing the chopper?” Ji-min questioned with a panicked look.
“We can't. It can get unstable. He's gonna pull you up, so don't worry,” he reassured and she still looked scared but more relieved. After the soldier rose to the top of the helicopter and was safely inside of it, the other soldier spoke again. “You can't go all at once, so let's go one by one.”
“We can't all go?” Cheong-san panicked but the soldier quickly eased his worries.
“We can take all of you, but it has to be one by one.”
Everyone looked around at who would go first and they all collectively, but silently, decided on Ji-min. On-jo gently pushed her towards the soldier and everyone encouraged her to go first. She looked hesitant but thankful as the soldier started to strap her into the harness.
As she started to rise, the soldiers ushered for the next person and Hyo-ryung was urged to go next. Just as you saw Ji-min reaching the top, one soldier stepped away.
“Say again. Did you mean everyone?” He asked through his transmitter and went silent as the person on the other end of the line spoke. “But their temperatures are fine,” he protested and went silent again. “They're just children!” After another moment of silence, his hand dropped from his head and he looked over to the group, scanning each of you slowly before sighing heavily and responding. “Understood. Over,” he turned to the other soldiers on the ground. “Cancel the operation,” he ordered. Everyone looked shocked by his words and you stood up on shaky legs. “We'll take just the package and pull out.”
Ji-min started lowering from the chopper just as she grabbed hands with the soldier on top and you could distantly hear her concerned words. The soldiers started taking the harness they put on Hyo-ryung off and she whimpered in confusion before they pushed her toward the group. Everyone was screaming out questions about what was happening but you stood there in silence as you watched the soldier who spoke through his transmitter. You weren’t sure what had happened but whatever it was made it so that they couldn’t and wouldn’t rescue all of you.
As Ji-min landed on the group and they started to take her harness off, she started screaming and thrashing around as she cried but the soldiers just pushed her harshly into the arms of your group.
She walked back up to them and one of them pointed their guns at her threateningly. You raced forward to step in front of her before Su-hyeok could stop you, ignoring how your leg stung slightly at the movement.
“I wanna get out of here!” Ji-min screamed from behind you as you stared the soldier directly in the eye with a straight face. “Please, take me with you!”
“Come on, sir!” Dae-su expressed. The soldier then pointed his gun at Dae-su and everyone who spoke their complaints.
“W-Wait a second,” Joon-yeong started and the gun then pointed at him. “What's wrong with you? We're fine! We're not zombies.”
“Please, just take me with you!” Ji-min begged again from behind you, her hands reaching out to fist the fabric of your shirt.
“Stand back!” They all advanced forward with their guns to get you all further away from the ropes. “Stand back, or we'll shoot!”
You locked eyes with the soldier in front again and you could see the distress in his eyes. “Sir,” you started but took no steps to advance towards him. “What’s really going on?”
He raised his gun and shot strikes into the air as a warning. You didn’t flinch even as your ears rang from the loud sound, only moving when Su-hyeok ran up from behind you and pulled you back with Ji-min following.
Cheong-san had advanced forward with On-jo in his hand as he begged. “I'm begging you. Please take just a few of us with you.”
The soldier didn’t respond and after a second Cheong-san took another step forward when he fired the gun into the air again and everyone screamed. At this point, it was only him left on the roof as the others had risen up to the helicopter and he backed up towards the rope behind him as Cheong-san tried one more time. “Rescue us.”
After the soldier got strapped in, he looked back at all of you with a sorrowful and guilty look. “I'm sorry.”
The last of everyone’s shimmer of hope distinguished away like a flame under the rain as he rose higher and higher into the air before going inside and the helicopter slowly flying away. Everyone stayed silent as you watched the helicopter grow smaller and smaller in the distance until you could barely hear its wind.
“They abandoned us,” Hyo-ryung sobbed out. “Didn’t they?”
You nodded.
“No one's coming to save us now? But why did they do that?”
“Maybe…” Wu-jin started. “They thought that all of us were already fucking zombies.”
“No, that can’t be it,” you contradicted.
“They would have killed us,” Joon-yeong added and you nodded along. “They wouldn't have left us here alive if they thought that.”
Cheong-san turned and in a fit of anger and frustration and betrayal, he kicked the dimming remains of the fire.
“C-Cheong-san,” your voice broke as you attempted to stop him but the lump in your throat prevented you from talking anymore.
On-jo walked up to him and pulled him away by his arm. “What are you doing?”
He yanked his arm away from her grip. “It's pointless. No one's coming. No one else is coming,” he told her angrily and she just watched as he continued to kick at the fading embers on the ground and the rest of the ‘SOS’ sign.
The scream of agony and bitterness Cheong-san let out tore through your heart painfully but you couldn’t do anything. You couldn’t do anything to help him and your friends. You couldn’t do anything to help your brother.
You couldn’t even do anything to help yourself.

RUMBLING [all of us are dead]
Tumblr media
SYNOPSIS → DESPITE EVERYTHING, KIM SULLYOON IS THE STAR GIRL of her class and, perhaps, of her entire school. If she's honest, it's not something she finds difficult, her mother always says that it's the kind of thing that comes naturally when you strive for what you want and you're a good person.
Sullyoon is no one special. She doesn't have the best grades, she's not the president of her class, she doesn't play any sports and she doesn't usually speak in public. But she's kind and, somehow, she manages to make herself noticed. Her father often says that she's like a little ray of sunshine encapsulated in the earth, to cheer up the people around her, warming them with her light. However, her smile never shone the same after the death of her older sister.
Sullyoon and Haewon had been like nail and dirt. Despite Haewon being a couple of years older, they used to do everything together, as if they were attached at the hip. It was a fateful day when her sister was out with her friends and upon returning home, a drunk driver hadn't seen her crossing the street. Hit and left to fend for herself in the middle of the darkness was how Kim Haewon took her last breath, condemning her sister to a life without her.
But when you're the star girl, there are certain expectations placed on you. Sullyoon isn't allowed to fade away in sadness over her sister's death because the world has dictated that she is the cheerful girl. And Sullyoon plays the role as best she can. Still, how long can she fake a huge smile when a virus appears and pushes her to the brink of death? How much can she endure before she explodes like a supernova?
The clock is ticking, time is running out and Kim Sullyoon, the star girl, is starting to run out of patience.

Not So Secret
Hi everyone. So I'm making yet another collection of stories for a throuple couple. This time it's for 'All of Us Are Dead'. So I've made some Cheong-san x Reader x Su-hyeok stories and decided to make them and the future ones I have planned into a series or collection.
I have a lot of ideas, and some of the upcoming chapters are listed below. I need to rewatch the series to add more ideas, especially when it comes to canon events. Ya know?
Now, in these, the boys, in my opinion, could be out of character at times. Especially as I learn to write them.
Warnings for some of these fics: Blood, Death, Cursing.

⸻ E tambem, hm....me desculpa pela briga..
⸻ Pensei que não iria me pedir desculpas! ⸻ Você sorriu dando um beijinho na bochecha.

Let’s meet again.
Once Ms. Park had finished her speech over the speakerphones, Su-hyeok and you looked at each other and nodded, knowing what you had to do.
Su-hyeok slowly started to crawl toward the window, sliding across the floor to go under the protection of a different piece of furniture every so often and you followed when you could. You got about halfway across the room before a clay sculpture almost fell over. Su-hyeok was able to catch it in time but with it fell a single pencil and you cursed your luck at a time like this.
The two of you jumped up and ran toward the window as fast as you could. As Su-hyeok worked on unlatching and opening the window, you grabbed a few metal paint scrapers and used them to stab into the necks and skulls of the zombies rapidly approaching you. Just as you killed the 3 who were in the room, more came in through the open door after they heard the commotion and you turned around to get yourself out of the room before any of them could get to you. You slammed the window shut behind you and almost fell off as a few of the zombies started slamming themselves into the glass, fortunately only giving it a single crack. Luckily, Su-hyeok was able to grab you before you could fall off and secured you tightly between the wall and his chest.
Unable to look him in the eyes during the intense situation, you spoke and broke the tension, “I think we should try and head towards the science room, then maybe the others can let us in and we can reunite with everyone.”
He nodded before a small smirk appeared on his pretty face. “So… how are you liking everyone? You seemed to surprise them all when you ran straight towards the danger and nearly sacrificeed yourself for them.”
You slapped his arm lightly. “At least I’m not doing it as much as you are Mr. Hero Complex. You need to put yourself first sometimes, okay? It’s because you didn’t go up the stairs when I told you to that you’re here with me right now!” You rolled your eyes as you scolded him but he just looked at you with a soft gleam in his eyes and a small smile.
“Okay,” he whispered.
“Okay?” You repeated back, a bit confused on what he meant by that.
“Okay. I’ll put myself first sometimes,” he started before turning away from you and whispering, “Just for you.”
“What’d you say?”
He turned back to look at you and faked being confused and oblivious. “I didn’t say anything else.”
You only shrugged your shoulders and thought yourself to just be hearing the sounds of the zombies lurking in the classes you passed by as the two of you slowly inched yourself down the wall toward the room where Su-hyeok’s friends were supposed to be.
Getting closer, Su-hyeok tried to cross a gap in between two windows but it was too far and he almost slipped. You gasped as he did and used your closest hand to grab a hold of his blazer to pull him back.
“You idiot, don’t do stupid things!” You scolded and slapped his arm.
Suddenly, just as he was about to laugh and make a stupid comeback about how you were even clumsier than he was, the two of you saw Cheong-san get thrown out of the science classroom with a zombie on top of him before just barely catching himself onto a makeshift rope. Unfortunately, the zombie kept a hold onto his foot and he tried to kick it off.
“Cheong-san!” Su-hyeok sounded out in relief before noticing the zombie attached to his ankle like a ball and chain. “Look down! Down, down, down!”
“I think he knows, Su,” you rolled your eyes slightly and leaned your head back against the cool glass of the window behind you.
“I do know!” Cheong-san confirms.
“She’s got your foot, moron. Look!” Su-hyeok whisper yelled and leaned forward before you yanked him back again by the fabric of his blazer.
“I see that,” Cheong-san said again as he focused his energy on keeping his hands tightly gripping the rope he was holding.
“Kick her off or something, idiot!”
“I’m trying!” You stifled your laugh at their little banter at a time like this and lightly smacked Su-hyeok’s shoulder. He looked back at you for a second, smiling at your amused facial expression before looking back at the man hanging out the window. Cheong-san tried to climb further up the ladder but slid down a few inches with the added weight of the zombie.
“Hey. I’m coming down,” Su-hyeok suddenly said and you snapped your head toward him as he looks at the windows again with a determined face.
“No. Stay there,” Cheong-san demanded as he knew it was too high of a risk.
“Yeah, stay here. It’s too risky and you can barely reach,” you tell him before he starts to cross the windows again.
“No. I said, don’t do it!” Cheong-san yells at him.
“Oh, shit!” the boy groans out as his feet slip and you, once again, yank him back by the fabric of his blazer so he can regain his footing. As he finally gets settled, he leans his head back on the window like you did a minute ago and takes a deep breath.
“Hey, Bare-su, look up!” Only seconds after he says that, Su-hyeok tries to grab your hand and jump but messes up on part 1. He jumps and grabs ahold of the rope and climbs down so he can kick the zombie holding onto Cheong-san off. As the people in the broadcasting room hear the commotion, they all notice Su-hyeok there as well and cheer in excitement.
Su-hyeok is finally able to push off the zombie from Cheong-san but all he gets is a complaint from the boy. “Hey. Stop hugging me.”
Just as he was about to let out a cheeky response, a small and barely audible whimper interrupts his words. Looking over, he sees you hanging from the copper pipe that runs up the side of the building. Your feet were slipping and one hand was bloody while holding onto a ledge of the wall while the other one struggled for purchase on the pipe.
“(Y/n)!” He exclaimed before grabbing onto the rope and letting go of Cheong-san’s waist.
“Go down. Now!” He yelled at his friend who went without asking the questions he wanted to.
“(Y/n),” he spoke calmly, securing one of his hands around one of the holes of the rope so his other was free. “(Y/n), look at me.”
You tried, you really did, but the moment you looked away from your hands even for a seconds was terrifying and you felt yourself slipping. “No!” you whimpered out.
“I know you’re scared, but I need you to do something for me, okay?”
You gave him a slight nod without looking at him.
“I need you to jump to me.”
Your head snapped in his direction and you looked at him in pure shock at his suggestion before looking back when you felt yourself slipping again.
“(Y/n)!” He yelled and you looked back at him, your hands holding on even tighter so you could stay upright without looking at them. Su-hyeok gave an encouraging nod toward you. “Jump.”
You did it.
You jumped.
It was a scary moment when you landed in his arms and he struggled to get a grip on you but when you felt yourself using the stability of the rope you sighed in relief. Leaning your forehead against Su-hyeok’s chest while his open hand was wrapped tightly around your waist, you took a deep breath to calm down before he gently pushed your head away.
“You go down first,” he whispered but you slapped his arm lightly.
“What did I say about being more selfish?” He just smiled and pushed your shoulder down so you were forced to climb down. You groaned in annoyance but willingly climbed down.
Most of the group was hesitant to help you but Nam-ra rushed forward to grab your hand and help you climb in through the window. You gave her a smile of appreciation before you turned around to help Su-hyeok in.
“Close it before they get in!” Na-yeon screamed as you all were focused on helping Su-hyeok in. Cheong-san shot her a dirty look before rushing to grab Su-hyeok’s arm.
Just before you could rush forward to help him, On-jo had rushed to grab his hand and help him in.
You were a little surprised but decided to ignore it when she looked over at you. You just gave her a small smile but she looked away quickly.
Your smile dropped immediately.
“Would you just close it already!” Na-yeon screamed again.
“What's wrong with you? Su-hyeon was still out there! You want us to just shut him out?” Gyeong-su screamed at her.
“Is it a crime to want the window closed?” She excuses herself.
“No, but it’s a crime to be this fucking selfish,” you spoke under your breath. The people near you could hear you and snickered at your words but Na-yeon just looked at you, confused.
“What did you say? If you wanna say something, say it to my face, bitch!” She screamed at you but you just leaned back against the window with a smirk while you glared at her.
“How can you be so selfish?” Gyeong-su accused her and her attention went back to him.
She sighed before speaking again, “I can’t stand you, stupid welfie.”
You stood up from your half-seated position against the window and walked toward the two. Gyeong-su pushed Na-yeon into the chair behind her and both Cheong-san and you rushed to push him away from her.
“What did you just call me?” He pointed his finger toward her while you had a hand on his chest, pushing him back.
Na-yeon gasped and then stood back up before getting in his face. “You just hit me?”
“Yeah,” He admitted back with no shame or regret on his face or tone. “Call me that again.”
Ms. Park came running over after locking the window right as you pushed both Na-yeon and Gyeong-su into the chairs placed behind them. They both landed with an “oof” and glared at you. You sent them a cold gaze and they looked away.
“Hey, knock it off. What's going on over here, guys?” Ms. Park questioned while gently grabbing your arm and pulling you away.
“He just hit me and then she pushed me!”
“I only hit you because you called me a welfie!” Gyeong-san defended himself while you remained quiet despite how Ms. Park looked at you for answers.
“Is it not true?” She questioned and stood up, Gyeong-su soon followed, not wanting to be towered over by her.
“You can’t just say shit like that,” Cheong-san told her with a disappointed tone and his hand wrapped around the arm of Gyoeng-su.
“What’s a welfie?” Ms. Park ignorantly asked and looked around the room at everyone for an answer. Everyone stayed silent, not wanting to say the meaning of the rude word. “Tell me. What is it? What’s a welfie?”
“A person on welfare,” Su-hyeok quietly said from behind her.
“What?” She asked as she turned to face him. You went over to stand between Gyeong-su and Na-yeon, not trusting the two to not get in a fight. The both of them backed away from you when you did, backing away from each other in the process. Your lips formed a tight smile while you debated whether or not to celebrate at your win of getting them apart of to feel sad and alone because you are the reason they backed away from each other.
“It means a person on welfare. ‘Welfie’ for short,” Su-hyeok explained and Ms. Park took a moment to think about the word and how her students were using it.
“Na-yeon, that was wrong. Don’t ever say that again,” she scolded the girl who rolled her eyes when the teacher turned to Gyeong-su. “And Gyeong-su, when you hit people, you’re the one who ends up losing. Do you understand?”
“No. I don’t,” he said and crossed his arms.
“Look, you two want to fight? That’s fine. As soon as we survive this thing and get the fuck out of here, you two can fight as much as you want,” you told them as you sat on the table behind you. You shot them both a sharp glare. “But right fucking now, we have to focus on staying safe and figuring out what to do next. So shut the fuck up unless you have something useful to contribute.”
“Yes. Exactly as (Y/n) said,” she turned to you, “Although the use of foul language was not necessary,” you shrugged and she sighed before continuing to look back and forth between the two students beside you. “We don’t know what’s going on out there with those-”
“Are the zombies?” Su-hyeok cut her off and she just looked at him with a lost expression, not knowing what to tell him.
“What about the other teachers? Has anyone called the cops?” Ji-min stepped forward with desperation lacing her voice.
“Don’t worry, I’m sure someone already has,” she reassured her panicked students but her voice sounded unsure. “I just don’t have my phone on me right now.”
“We called them, but they’re not coming,” Cheong-san told her. “Neither the police nor first responders.”
“I’m sure they’ll be here soon. We just have to wait a little longer,” Ms. Park stayed optimistic as she saw the hope fading from her students’ eyes.
“Ms. Park,” On-jo spoke and got everyone’s attention. “Hyeon-ju’s hands were cold too. So were I-saks,” her voice shook slightly as she spoke of her friend. You’d realized a while ago that you were missing a member of the group and knew she was dead but you knew nobody had time for grieving right now. You all had to focus on staying alive. “What if all of this started with Hyeon-ju?” She questioned and your eyes widened at the news.
“She went to the hospital,” Hyo-ryung said with a gasp.
“What if it spread there as well?” Joon-yeong predicted with a bitter tone.
“It’s most likely it did. If this happened in just a short amount of time at a school then there’s no doubt the rest of the city is most likely the same,” you said as you looked at the ground with an emotionless face. Su-hyeok came over to sit next to you and let your fingers graze each other from your spot on the table.
“But wait, the internet still works right?” Joon-yeong questioned as he saw the computer in front of him and stood up excitedly.
After getting the computer to turn on as it took a minute from the school refusing to replace the old computers with newer faster ones, Joon-yeong logged into Facebook and started looking at the videos the people of Hyosan had posted.
It was terrifying. There were videos of people getting brutally torn apart and ripped into as they were eaten by cannibalistic monsters who now roamed the streets.
“Holy shit…” you whispered from your spot sitting on the table beside the monitor before a clanking on the window distracted your despairing thoughts. Slowly getting up, you walked over to the window with careful steps as it continued to hit against the glass.
“Let’s check messages first,” you heard from behind you before the window in front of you shattered from a strong hit by the makeshift ladder.
You gasped and jumped back but a few glass shards had flown towards you and cut lightly into your skin.
Everyone else gasped as well and Nam-ra who was closest to you ran up to you to check on you. The metal part of the rope continued to slam against the window, creating a larger hole in the glass.
“What was that?” Joo-yeong questioned, a little out of breath from the scare.
“Get over here. Come here!” Ms. Park yelled at you and Nam-ra to do, so you scurried over to where she was on the other side of the room.
“Did someone not make it in?” Wu-jin asked and got a reply of “no.”
Cheong-san slowly stepped toward the glass, ignoring Gyeong-su’s words of not getting too close.
“Do you see anything?” Gyeong-su asked as Cheong-san stood right in front of the broken window. After not getting an answer, he came to his own conclusion. “It’s just the wind.”
Wu-jin sighed, “That scared me.”
Suddenly, a zombie fell from above the rope and landed in Cheong-san’s face before he jumped back, landing on the ground.
“Look, it's coming in! Watch out, watch out!” Dae-su screamed as he just layed there on the ground and stared at the zombie. “Cheong-san, get back. Get back here!”
Cheong-san looked lost so you took the initiative. Running past him, you grabbed the mop that was hidden in the corner of the room behind some sort of cabinet and immediately started pushing the zombie back out of the window. The zombie grabbed ahold of the other end of the mop while you tried to shake it off.
Dae-su had dragged Cheong-san away from the scene behind you and he was standing up now, safe.
Surprising you, Gyeong-su ran forward and also grabbed ahold of the stick, helping you push the zombie back.
It grabbed ahold of the window and started pulling itself forward as the people behind you yelled about removing it.
“If you want to remove it, come and do it yourself, you bastards!” You yelled through gritted teeth as you focused on pushing this monster away from the people behind you.
Gyeong-su tried grabbing its hand and pulling it off before the beast grabbed ahold of his arm and started pulling it towards its mouth. In a panic, you used one of your legs to push Gyeong-su back and the beast was forced to let go of his hand, thankfully not biting him.
Although when the beast let go, both you and Gyeong-su were pushed back and you lost the mop.
Cheong-san picked the mop up and stabbed at the zombie. Unfortunately, it only ended in more glass breaking and the mop splitting in half. He started preparing himself to stab the zombie, knowing the - now broken and split - end of the mop was a perfect weapon to do so. It was clear for you to see, however, that he couldn’t do it.
Before you could stand up to help, Su-hyeok grabbed the mop from the boy and yanked it back, hitting Gyeong-su’s nose in the process before stabbing it into the cannibalistic-turned-student.
The zombie wouldn’t let up even when Su-hyeok stabbed it through its chest and Gyeong-su ran forward with the computer box from the table in his hands before throwing it at the zombie, successfully managing to make it fall down to the grass field below.
After a few beats of silence, you walked over to the table where a tissue box was placed and grabbed it before holding it out to Gyeong-su whose nose had started to bleed lightly from the impact of the mop. He looked at you confused and just as you were about to speak, Cheong-san beat you to it.
“Gyeong-su, you’re bleeding.”
“I am?” The boy brought his hand up to his nose in confusion before a look of realization crossed his features. “Right, it’s because Su-hyeok hit me with a fucking mop.” He then grabbed a few tissues out of the box you were still extending out to him and gave you a small smile.
“Stay back! Stay where you are!” Na-yeon exclaimed as she breathed shakily and you just rolled your eyes, something that Gyeong-su noticed and he gave a quiet laugh before focusing on the girl. “You were bitten, weren’t you, Gyeong-su?”
“I wasn’t. I wasn’t!” He defended himself.
“It’s true, he wasn’t,” you told everyone as well.
“Yes! (Y/n) was right next to me when it happened! Didn't you see Su-hyeok hit me?” You smiled slightly and looked down as he used your name to defend himself, it was the first time someone had used your name in a good light in a long time and it felt good.
Na-yeon took a couple steps backward and let out a shaky breath. Gyeong-su brought the tissue down from his nose and started walking towards Na-yeon.
“What’s your fucking problem with me?” He asked angrily.
“You were bitten!”
“No, he wasn’t! I saw him the entire time, he never got bit once!” you yelled at her and slammed the tissue box onto the table.
Na-yeon ignored you and turned to Ms. Park. “I-sak got a nosebleed just before she turned,” she turned to On-jo and you swear you could feel your blood boiling within your veins. “On-jo. You saw it, right? That’s the same thing that happened to I-sak!”
“You fucking selfish little bitch,” you cursed her in a low tone.
“Gyeong-su,” Ms. Park tried but was cut off as the boy tried to desperately clear his name.
“I-I am telling you! I swear I wasn’t bit!” He sighed as everyone stayed silent and you lifted the box of tissues again as his nose started dripping more. He sighed again and grabbed one, nodding towards you before bringing it up to his nose. “Shit.”
“Look!” Na-yeon wouldn’t give up and continued to find any reason to convince the others he was truly turning into a zombie. “Your hand. Explain that? What is it?”
“I got it from the computer! Didn’t you see that?” He tried to walk towards her again but stopped when the people near her all gasped and jumped back, scared of what he might become. He scoffed. “Don’t you trust me?” They stayed silent while avoiding his eyes. “I can’t believe this. I got this trying to save all of you.” He walked away from them to lean against the table where you were sitting atop it. Cheong-san walked around the table from where he was standing on the other side of it and walked up to Gyeong-su, grabbing his hand to look at the injury.
“It’s not a bite, it’s a scratch. Whoever wants to check, come look,” he said and most of the group came up to check besides a few of the girls and Ms. Park. A few of them let out comments as they find it to be true. It was only a scratch.
“Yeah, definitely. Just a scratch,” Su-hyeok confirmed while looking at Na-yeon with a look you knew to be judgmental and a bit disappointed.
“Ms. Park, look,” Cheong-san insisted and she walked up to him, grabbing his hand gently to look at it.
“Well, it really doesn’t look like a bite. Thank god. It’s a scratch,” she reconfirmed what everyone had been saying and you let out a little sigh of relief you didn’t know you were holding in and surprised yourself. “He’s okay.”
All the chaos and noise had been giving you a headache so you took your chance to exit the situation considering it seemed fine for the moment. You gave Gyeong-su’s shoulder a light squeeze and he returned the gesture with a small smile. Standing up, you walked into the recording room, glancing at Su-hyeok who was watching you go in.
Just before the door closed behind you, you could hear the start of another fight between the group members begin and you just thanked god that you had left when you did. Any more fighting and you were sure you’d have an aneurysm.
After a while of you spinning around in one of the spinny chairs of the recording room, you heard the door open.
“Oi.”
You stopped spinning and turned to see Gyeong-su standing at the doorway.
“They’re quarantining me for an hour since Na-yeon still thinks I’m a zombie, you should leave,” he explained but you just shrugged and continued spinning in the chair.
“I’m okay. I know you’re not one.”
You heard a scoff and stopped your spinning, slowly looking up and fearing he would be upset by your decision.
Instead, you saw a wide grin gracing his face. Letting your own smile take over, you reached over to pat the seat of the other chair that was positioned beside you. He walked over and the two of you started talking. It was nice, comfortable even. The more you talked, the more you were willing to open yourself up to gaining a friend.
A knock on the window of the door brought both of your attention to Cheong-san who stood on the other side. He started to do what you assume was whistling on the other side of the glass and you smiled when you heard Gyeong-su immediately start to sing the tune Cheong-san was aiming for. Your attention was brought away from the two and their funny exchange to Su-hyeok who had been leaning against the table on the other side of the glass of the big window. He gave you a smile when your eyes met and you gave him one back. He pointed back and forth between you and Gyeong-su with that same smile but a more questioning look on his face.
Your smile turned a bit giddy and you had to bite your cheek to keep it under control before you mouthed one word to him.
“Friend.”
Su-hyeok’s face lit up with a huge grin and he almost ran into the room to give you a giant hug. You’d finally made another friend and he couldn’t be happier.
Well he could, if it was under better circumstances.
But, at least if the world was ending, you would have made a friend through it.
You turned your head back to the two best friends just to see Gyeong-su waving Cheong-san away with his hand and a slightly annoyed expression on his face.
You gently nudge his ribs with your elbow. “What did he say?”
He shoved your arm away from him with a smile before replying, “He was telling me we’ve been in here for 30 minutes and I told him to fuck off.”
You laughed and nodded before deciding to resume your spinning when the door opened up again.
Ms. Park entered the room and walked up to the two of you. She placed her hand on Gyeong-su’s shoulder. “Why don’t you come out now Gyeong-su? We all know that you aren’t turning and you don’t need to stay here any longer.”
He turned around to look out the big window behind him when she spoke and saw everyone crowding around while looking at you and him. He just shook his head, “I’m staying the full hour. Just to be safe.”
Ms. Park stood back up from her crouching position and then turned to you. “How about you, (Y/n)? You don’t need to be in here anyways so you’re welcome to come out if you would like,” she recommended with a hopeful smile.
You shook your head lightly with a smile before speaking. “I’m okay, Ma’am,” you turned to Gyeong-su before you continued. “If you’ll still allow me, I’d be happy to just stay in here for the remaining 30 minutes.”
He looked a little shocked but his expression turned to one of gratitude and he nodded. You looked back at Ms. Park and noticed her smiling at the two of you.
“Okay, come out whenever the two of you are ready, then.”
The both of you nodded before she walked out. The two of you smiled at each other before going back to your own things - you spinning in the chair and him messing with the string and holed notebook he had.
Surprising you, Na-yeon walked in with one hand shoved in her pockets. The both of you looked back at her before turning to each other and rolling your eyes.
“Hey,” the both of you stayed silent. “I’m talking to you!” More silence. “You’re ignoring me?”
Gyeong-su scoffed before turning back to her. “What do you want?”
“Why didn’t you answer me?”
He scoffed. “Apologize and get out,” she said as he shooed her away.
“How’s your cut doing?” She asked and you abruptly stopped in your spinning to look at her. Something about her tone was disturbing.
“Why do you care?” Gyeong-su asked suspiciously.
“Show me,” she demanded and aggressively grabbed his arm to bring it closer so she could see. You looked over to the window to see everyone looking at the interaction with teasing smiles or rolling their eyes.
“I suspected you because the situation called for it,” she spoke and it brought your attention away from the window and back to the interaction itself. Now, she had a handkerchief in her hand and was dabbing it on the place where Gyeong-su’s cut was. You couldn't shake the feeling of something strange happening. Especially with the way she was acting - like she had something to hide. “And I was really mad earlier. I’m still mad at you.”
“I guess…” Gyeong-su started but didn’t really know how to continue the sentence so his words trailed off. She dropped his hand back in his lap right before walking towards you and grabbing your own arm, attempting to roll up your sleeves to where the wounds you had were but you slapped her hand away harshly and shot her a cold glare. She pretended not to be affected by it but you could see the fear that flashed in her eyes.
“Don’t touch me,” you told her and Gyeong-su looked over at you in surprise at how your voice went from so sweet and kind just a minute ago to now this.
Na-yeon cleared her throat before turning back to Gyeong-su and speaking again. “You know I’ve always looked down on you.”
The boy shook his head with a sigh. “It’s fine. It’s all in the past. Let’s just go,” he finished as he looked towards the door, suggesting that they all leave the room.
“I’m not apologizing,” she told him and although she didn’t physically do it you could hear the eyeroll in her voice. “You deserve to be looked down on. Our complex banned you welfies, but you forced your way in,” she spoke and your nails dug into the foam arm rest of the chair. “And how dare you push me?”
Gyeong-su looked over at you with an exasperated and astounded expression on his face before turning back around and standing up to be face-to-face with her. “Listen, you fuckin-“ he tried but she rudely cut him off with another insult.
“You thought I’d apologize?” Her head tilted slightly in a condescending way. “Everyone is taking your side. I was cornered because of a nobody like you,” she leaned in as she spoke her final words. “Stay the full hour. I hope you never come out again,” as she was walking away, you could faintly hear her whispering the words “Fucking welfie,” and that was the final line for you. Just as she had pushed the door open and walked through, cheering and clapping happening by your classmates, you marched towards her and pushed her forward before you felt hands grab you to prevent you from doing anything else.
“You fucking bitch! You think you can just fucking say that and get away with it?” You yelled at her but it was barely audible over the sounds of everyone around you screaming at you and questioning why you would do that.
Gyeong-su, who was behind you and the first one to hold you back, started to pull you away to the corner next to the windows along with a chair for you to sit in as you breathed heavily and stared at Na-yeon from across the room.
“What happened? (Y/n), why would you do that?” Ms. Park questioned as she crouched down in front of where you were sitting.
Without taking your eyes off of the bitch across the room, you responded. “That dog told Gyeong-su he deserved to be looked down on and then proceeded to call him a fucking welfie,” you spat out and nearly jumped out of your seat to rush back over to her and finish what she started when Su-hyeok, who had followed after you and Gyeong-su when he dragged you to the corner along with Cheong-san, grabbed your shoulder and firmly, but gently, sat you back down.
Ms. Park stood up and shook her head in astonishment before walking over to Na-yeon. You could hear Cheong-san checking on Gyeong-su but was focused on the conversation coming from across the room.
“Did you really say that?” Ms. Park asked as the rest of the group stood behind her in an odd way of intimidation. “You promised me you would apologize to him!”
“I did nothing wrong,” she insistently defended herself and despite Su-heyok’s hand on your shoulder you shot up out of your chair.
“Bullshit!” you screamed before Gyeong-su, Cheong-san, and Su-hyeok all rushed forward to sit you back down. You would have laughed at how comical it must have looked if you weren’t so pissed.
“(Y/n), calm down,” Ms. Park instructed and you reluctantly turned your head away from their conversation to focus on the one in front of you.
“Dude, forget about her,” Dae-su insisted and pat Gyeong-su’s shoulder as he groaned and angrily looked out the window.
“I just don’t understand why I have to take this shit!” He exclaimed and turned back to you all. Everyone’s attention got directed at Na-yeon as she started saying something about how it was Gyeong-su’s fault they had to leave their homeroom in the first place and how Coach Kang turned in there but you blocked it out as you started talking to him.
“So how are you actually feeling? What she said was bullshit, you don’t deserve to be looked down on. That’s just a shit excuse for her to be a bitch,” you told him with an eye roll and he laughed slightly before shooting you an adorable smile that you almost wanted to reach your hands out and pinch his cheeks at.
“Thank you, (Y/n). That means a lot,” he looked down at the ground and smiled when suddenly, with everyone else's attention still focused on Na-yeon, you saw Gyeong-su’s nose dripping with blood for the second time.
“Uh-h… G-Gyeong-su…” You whispered.
“Look! I guess I was right after all,” you heard Na-yeon boast proudly on the other end of the room but you couldn’t bring yourself to turn around and scold her when you saw your friend bleeding again. You noticed everyone had turned back to look at where he sat at her words.
“What?” The boy questioned, confused on why everyone was looking at him with the same expression: confusion, sadness, and fear.
Everyone except for one. Her.
“Gyeong-su…” You heard Cheong-san say from behind you but it was like you were hearing it from underwater. The only thing you could hear was the sound of your own heartbeat.
And the thoughts that Gyeong-su might not have one soon.

RUMBLING chapter 01: Sullyoon, the star.
KIM SULLYOON HAD NEVER HAD THE NEED TO ENTER the teachers' office without having papers in her hands to hand in or a broom to sweep with. In reality, Sullyoon had never been afraid of the teachers' office because they had always been especially kind and she had never been in trouble. However, those who speak in extremes are usually wrong because Sullyoon finds herself in the teachers' office without papers to hand in or a broom to sweep with. Her fingers fiddle with each other, as she tries to look away from the teacher with glasses. If she was being as honest as she could be, she feels like her heart is going to jump out of her chest, but she is not quite sure why, she knows that she has not done anything wrong.
Except lie. She had become an expert liar at this point, but that's not the main issue, or so Sullyoon thinks as she hears the woman clear her throat and rummage through her papers on her desk. Professor Kang had always had high expectations of her and Sullyoon doesn't understand why. It's true that she used to do well in history class, she remembers most of the dates and, she could tell, she's one of the few students who really try to understand history and draw lessons from it, but that doesn't mean that the Kim girl has extraordinary grades, anyway, Professor Kang usually encourages her to be better than that. It's for that reason, the redhead doesn't feel able to look Professor Kang straight in the eyes behind the huge square glasses.
"Miss Kim," the woman begins. Sullyoon bites his lower lip. "Your grades have been seriously slipping. Is there something you want to talk about?"
Sullyoon bites her lower lip and looks away. All around her are students cleaning the teachers' office. That day, she has ended up in the gym with her best friend, Gyeongsu, cleaning. She had been concentrating on her homework, while he fiddled around and did nothing, until she was told that they were waiting for her in the teachers' office. Sullyoon doesn't know what to do yet and she's not sure she wants to talk either, much less to Professor Kang.
"Excuse me, Professor Kang," her voice sounds like a low whisper. It's strange to her, if she's honest again. She knows she's never been the type to be particularly quiet, but she can't find a louder volume the last few days.
"Sullyoon," the redhead is forced to look up when she hears the teacher's worried tone. Her eyes look worried through the magnifying glass. "Is there nothing you want to talk about? Are you sure you're okay?"
Being okay, the redhead thinks, tilting her head. What was being okay? Not just because it's a foreign concept to her these past few weeks. But Sullyoon knows she can't say that, because she's Kim Sullyoon and everyone knows she has a smile no matter if the world is ending. So that's what she does, the girl smiles as if she's calm, as if her stomach isn't closing up and she feels like throwing up.
"I'm fine, Professor Kang," the redhead bows respectfully to the older woman. "It won't happen again."
Professor Kang seems happy with Sullyoon's words because she told her that she won't fail again, because she herself knows that the woman thinks she's fine. Sullyoon isn't fine, but it's not something that other people care about.
Sullyoon isn't fine, but the world keeps turning.
"Fine," Professor Kang nods once and hands her the paper she's been looking at since she entered the teachers' office. "You're not alone, Sullyoon."
Sullyoon smiles at her again, and thanks her. Because a nice girl is always grateful even though she knows she doesn't care if they tell her she's not alone, she knows she is. Because Haewon isn't going to greet her as soon as she gets out of class, because Haewon doesn't accompany her when she walks home anymore. Sullyoon is alone, she knows it, and she's okay with it. But people want to feel good about themselves by telling her she's not.
How ridiculous.
Sullyoon takes the paper and leaves the teachers' office with a strange feeling in her body, a bad feeling chilling her bones and making her teeth ache. The redhead rolls her eyes when she sees the failure in her history test, if only she had answered a couple of questions better, none of this would have happened. But there are no ifs, Sullyoon is aware of it and it bothers her more than she wants to accept. She resumes her walk to the school gym because she knows that Gyeongsu is waiting for her there next to Cheongsan. She walks with her feet dragging, too tired to really lift them and walk at a considerable pace, she forces a smile on her face, while she waves to all the people she meets on her way to the gym.
She doesn't know half of the people who greet her, but they apparently have an idea of who the redhead is. Some claim that she has helped them on some occasion, Sullyoon is not even able to remember it and it is not like she cares to do so. But she has to be nice, so she smiles and waves all the way to the gym. However, she didn't even have the need to get to the gym when a heavy object hits her chest, making her gasp.
"Your backpack," Sullyoon blinks twice, getting her bearings. At her feet is her white backpack after someone had thrown it at her chest. Looking up, she could see the huge smile of her best friend, "You're welcome."
He pretends to bow, his smile widening. Sullyoon frowns.
"Should I thank you for hitting me?" She snorts and retrieves her backpack from the ground, shakes it a couple of times, removing the green leaves that have stuck to it from the grass, hangs the backpack on her shoulders and squints her eyes, looking at Gyeongsu.
The boy's smile widens, or so she thinks. Sullyoon doesn't have time to escape from the boy, when the dark-haired man's heavy arm is already wrapped around her shoulders. The redhead knows Gyeongsu well enough to know he's up to something.
"Guess," he looks at her with his eyebrows raised, smiling like a kid in a candy store.
Sullyoon's bad feeling kicks in again. Her body vibrates strangely and all she can do is cross her arms. They both start walking, though it's Gyeongsu who walks, forcing the girl to copy his action. Around them, more students leave the school, all in conversations of their own, listening to music or doing whatever. Sullyoon finds herself shaking her hand and saying goodbye to a couple she, again, doesn't recognize.
She smiles sweetly at everyone, her face hurts from doing so.
"I don't want to guess," Sullyoon presses his lips together slightly and looks at the boy next to her.
"You take the fun out of everything, woman," he complains quietly, but smiles again a few minutes later. "Cheongsan's mother is having some sort of grand opening for the restaurant", Gyeongsu speaks to her in a tone that suggests he's excited about the situation, while doing an eyebrow dance that Sullyoon finds embarrassing.
Before, she used to think that she and Gyeongsu got along because they both had that loud, outgoing personality. Nowadays, Sullyoon wonders if she was also just as difficult to put up with as her best friend sometimes felt. She loves him, she knows, but sometimes he could be… too much.
"Congratulations?" She shrugs, finally letting go of the black-haired man's arm and continues walking.
"Is that all you're going to say? Sully, this is your chance!", Gyeongsu stops and turns to her, the black-haired man takes her by the shoulders and brings her closer to his face a little. He doesn't invade her personal space too much, but he does bring her close enough for the gravity of the words he's going to say to be felt. "You'll be able to interact with Cheongsan beyond the pathetic good morning you give each other."
Sullyoon pushes his face with her right hand, making sure not to hurt him, just to regain her space. She forms a grimace with her face, the corners of her lips turning down and her eyebrows furrowing slightly.
“And watch him drool over Nam Onjo? No, thanks.” Sullyoon shakes her head in denial, her red hair blowing in the air, and she takes a step back. She quickly changes that sad expression into a big smile, making sure to convey the affection she has for her friend with her gaze. “Anyway, thanks for trying.”
Gyeongsu doesn’t seem happy, and it doesn’t take a genius to figure that out. Sullyoon had told him a few days before Haewon’s accident that she planned to confess her true feelings to Cheongsan, Gyeongsu’s best friend with whom she hadn’t had more interaction than a couple of cordial greetings and the typical words that a couple of classmates would share. Sullyoon had never been able to carry out that plan, anyway, because her sister passed away and then, in her state of numbness, she found herself really watching Cheongsan, perhaps more than she should have.
But she had learned some valuable information: he is in love with Nam Onjo. And despite everything, Sullyoon knows that there is nothing she can do to change that.
“Let me know when you get home!” is the last thing Gyeongsu shouts to her as she walks away.
Sullyoon gives him a thumbs up as she sets off for her mother’s house. Then, only then, is she able to notice the slight pain in her teeth: Sullyoon has a bad feeling.
