Obnoxio the Clown one-shot was published with a cover date of April 1983. Obnoxio was originally created as a mascot for Crazy Magazine by Larry Hama. Hama would edit both stories in the one-shot, which were written, illustrated, colored and lettered by Alan Kupperberg. In the main story of this issue, Obnoxio arrived at the X-Mansion only to be attacked by the X-Men and thrown in the Danger Room. When Professor X was revived, he explained to the X-Men the real enemy was Eye-Scream (first appearance) and that he had invited Obnoxio for kitty Pryde's birthday party. After all he had been through, Obnoxio left without performing for the party. The second story was about Obnoxio getting called in for jury duty and how he got out of it with the help of Mayor Ed Koch. There were also 2 pages dedicated to Obnoxio responding to readers.
