Have been actively resisting re-reading lionheart lately because my reading list is sooooo long and reading time is soooooo limited, so I was extremely excited to learn about M+G Readings! I’ve listened all yesterday evening while doing chores, and I keep finding myself going back to Hermione having to pretend Draco, Harry, and Ron are girls when discussing her friends with her family. I can’t help but wonder if she made up just really horrible feminine versions of their names to help keep her from slipping up??
On the same note, it has been so much fun to go back to book one just to see how much your babies have grown and matured! They were all such little shits (affectionately) except for our sweet harry, of course.
Hello! Yes! M+G's podfic is a superlative piece of fanwork and the talent involved is off the charts. As someone with zero experience in the field of audio mixing, the whole process reads like magic to me.
The elder Mrs. Granger (not to be confused with her daughter-in-law, Dr. Granger) is, of course, always delighted to hear about her granddaughter's various adventures with Harriet, Veronica, and Darcy.
#there's a fic in there somewhere about ol' nanna granger getting suspicious of how often 'darcy' comes up in conversation#and has this deep soul-searching arc where she talks to her husband like... well... we always knew that hermione...#wasn't...quite... like.... the other girls.......#and then after some Personal Growth Moments she sits down with hermione's parents and is like. i want you to know.#that jonathan and i love hermione unconditionally.#[drs. granger: uh. okay]#and we don't care if she's a homosexual.#[drs. granger: WHAT]#and then after an explosive conversation where they hammer out what's going on and also update some terminology#the drs. granger figure out that hermione's been talking about her big fat crush on a (BOY) classmate#around a woman who believes that she goes to an all girls' school#but they don't wanna narc on their daughter so they're like. well um. we haven't talked to her about it :)#anyway in a different world draco visits the grangers over summer 1995#and hermione sees her grandma and just bluescreens and introduces him as 'darcy'#to which nanna - whose eyesight is Not Great but clocks blonde hair and a sort of butch suit situation - goes 'ah! you're the lesbian?'#and draco bluescreens so hard he misses hermione having a nuclear meltdown in her parents' foyer#and fin.

How to get long healthy shiny hair in 2024 🎀
HAIR OILING: It is recommended that you oil your hair at least once or twice in a week. The benefits from oiling your hair are endless, from strengthening and lengthening your hair to preventing dandruff, lice, hair breakage and so much more. But remember that you should not go overboard as too much of everything is not good! Finding the suitable one depending on your hair type is essential for getting the best results!
SHOWER ROUTINE: It is very important to find the right shampoo for your hair type that gently cleanses and removes all that heavy buildup of products you apply in your hair, that doesn’t damage and dry it out, which is what a Clarifying shampoo does. But remember to check what hair type it is for as some shampoos aren’t suitable for all hair types. After shampoo is when you should use a hair mask, as it is advised to be used before conditioning since using a hair mask injects moisture into the hair and conditioner locks it in! A lot of people think that you just use conditioner from that same brand of shampoo and hair mask, but the real truth is that it is best to use the best conditioner you find works well enough for your hair.
AFTER SHOWER ROUTINE: Use a microfiber towel after showering! Not only does it dry your hair faster, but it’s much softer and gentle while doing no damage to your hair. If you plan on blow drying your hair, remember to let your hair air dry about 80-90% before blow drying. And you must use heat protectant for your hair! And wether you’re blow drying your hair or not, find the best hair serum and apply (can be used before and after styling) it firstly to your ends and then apply the leftover serum on your palm on your roots to prevent your roots from looking greasy. Always remember a little goes a long way with hair serums.
Thank you for reading and I hope you find this beneficial! Let me know if you have any questions <3

'drunk will's opinion has had him in a chokehold for over a year!!!'
IT'S BEEN A YEAR AND MIKE'S HAIR IS STILL NOT LONG ENOUGH TO FIT IN A DECENT PONY?? this man has the world's slowest growing barnet lmaoooooooo oh my poor boy, let's get you some vitamins and blame ted for those limp-ass genes
his mane is gorg though so slow and steady wins the race i guess? if it's flowing long and wild by the very end of this fic AND they don't stay together, it's gonna be the most heartbreaking little detail ever
i MEANNNN i honestly wouldn’t take us 10000% literally when we say stuff like this bc like realistically it probably took him a little bit of back and forth and ruminating on the matter to decide that he does want to grow it out instead of just seething at will for being the mixed signals king (<- will occupying his thoughts 24/7 fr) and to me he probably said hey fuck that guy fr and got a haircut or a trim or something six months in and immediately regretted it. but you are so right im sliding him some biotin supplements anyway
#as thea wiseatom described him in her coffee shop fic: he is anemic and sorrowful#and malnourished and weak#although thea added tht karen probably makes him get it cut for christmas pics or something and mike says ok fine who cares what will thinks#and then 5 mins after he leaves the salon he says damn it i care.#anyways yeah i mean the important thing here is tht mike’s hair used to be short and now it is longer and it’s all will’s fault#so i personally wouldn’t get too hung up on details like mike’s hair growth it’s not super important#asks

🤔Why Going Without Shampoo and Conditioner Can Give You Thicker, Stronger Hair?
🙅♀️Shampoo and conditioner can strip your hair and scalp of natural oils, which can lead to dryness, breakage, and other hair problems.
🌱Natural methods can also clean and nourish hair without striping natural oil nor exposing you to harsh chemicals.
Here are 2 best natural methods to wash your hair, without striping natural oils :
1️⃣Apple cider vinegar rinse :
– Mix 1-2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a cup of water and pour over your hair, massaging your scalp. Rinse with water after a few minutes.
ACV balances pH, removes buildup, and stimulates hair growth.
2️⃣Baking soda wash :
– Make a paste with 1-2 tablespoons of baking soda and water, then massage it into your hair and scalp. After rinsing, use vinegar.
Baking soda promotes hair growth, removes oil, and adds volume.
🤷♀️What are the natural remedies for better hair growth?
- Onion juice
- Egg mask
- Rosemary oil
I have been using cold pressed hexane free castor oil with Rosemary oil to rub into my scalp and sleeping with it like that at night. I am seeing a difference.
The I'm using 👇
½ cup castor oil
6-7 drops of rosemary oil
Massage into the scalp about 2 hours before bed, cover the pillow with a towel and after 2 months I'm seeing positive results.
I do this every other day and I don't use shampoo or conditioner, I use Amish soap with all natural ingredients. 🤔

do you have any tips for growing out hair? i have 4c hair and just went natural (about 6 months ago) but my hair is still very short and i just want is to grow out a bit more
Good question. Well, everyone's hair is different, but I have like 4A/4B type hair and I'm natural , so here are some things that I do:
I detox my scalp once a week, use filtered water to cleanse, and steam for added hydration
I only use natural/organic products by Black women-owned hair care brands. My favorite are Anita Grant and Alodia Hair Care
I use organic castor oil on my scalp and massage it in before I condition for extra growth
I sleep with a satin scarf/bonnet at night
I get regular trims
I try not to over style or put too much heat on my hair. I wear a lot protective styles like wash n go's and braids
I make sure to get enough vitamins like Zinc, Iron, Vitamin A & D
MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE
I also go to see a natural hair pro twice a month
Also, I try not to stress because it can wreak havoc on your hair

VIVI GLOW UP GUIDE: HAIR
“Invest in your hair, it's the crown you never take off.”
STEP ONE : THE NECESSITIES
- Wet Brush
- Gentle Hair Ties / Claw Clips / Scrunches
- Wide Tooth Comb
- Regular Shampoo
- Clarifying Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Leave in Conditioner
- Hair Mask
- Hair Oil
- Microfiber Towel or Cotton T-Shirt
- Silk Bonnet or Silk Pillow Cases
STEP TWO : HAIR ASSESSMENT
- What type of hair do you have? Oily, dry, or normal
- What is your hair texture ? ( 1a through 4c )
- What state is your hair currently in? Is it breaking, stretching or frizzy?
- Do you have split ends?
- Do you have colored hair?
- Do you use heating tools, take hot showers ?
Use these answers to these for helping picking products, use labels that target your complaints
STEP THREE : CUT THOSE ENDS
You want pretty hair? Cut. Those. Split. Ends. As much as people want to think you can 100% repair split ends with bonding products, you can’t. Split ends will find a way to creep up, and soon your split ends can become split miss and now your hair will not grow. Do this one time in the start of your hair care journey, and then from there on out you can learn how to cut your own split ends with the “no length lost method”.
STEP FOUR : WASH DAY
Find you wash days, it is okay to wash everyday or less with more days in between, as long as your scalp stays clean.
Your wash day should look like this, a coconut based pre-oil treatment to the ends of your hair for 30 minutes prior to getting into the shower. Weekly, take the oil up to the roots and massage in before doing the next steps. When you get in the shower star with a double shampoo cleanse if you skip days in between washes. If you wash your hair everyday only wash it one time (unless you did full hair oil) Lather the shampoo in your hands and start at the nape of your neck working your way up, only focuses on the scalp. Wash thoroughly then add conditioner after squeezing out all access water. Apply onlyto the ends and let it sit, pinning it up with a claw clip to keep the conditioner of your skin to avoid body acne. Rinse out.
Once you get out the shower, gently squeeze hair with microfiber towel and apply your leave in conditioner or oil. Let dry, the best way is mainly air dry with some help from a hair dryer on a cool setting at least 11 inches away from your head. Only after your hair is dry should you brush it.
Before Bed put your hair into a protective lose hair style or silk bonnet.
Once a week, swap your conditioner and pre-oil for a hair mask. I recommend getting your hair wet outside the shower, squeeze the water out, apply the hair mask and then let it sit for 20 minutes prior to getting into the shower.
STEP FIVE : IN BETWEEN WASH CARE
- only brush your hair what you need, don’t do the 100 strokes.
- always use detangler (you can use conditioner in a spray bottle mixed with water)
- Damp the ends of your hair and adds tiny bit of oil, before putting in a protect style.
STEP SIX : STAY INFORMED
- Ingredients are listed from highest concentration to lower, if all the helpful ingredients are the last on this list it’s not the best.
- Don’t fall for gimmicks not approved by dermatologists, such as hair training, keep your scalp clean.
- Don’t think you need only expensive products, despite what hair stylists say, there is very good drug store products that could easily be high end.
- Sulfates, Parabens and silicones are good for most hair, i love them.
STEP 777 : AFFIRMATIONS AND SUBLIMINALS
- Make a subliminal playlist
- Create a vision board for your hair, and maybe a wishlist of some dream products.
- Always use affirmations !!
If I hope you all find this helpful dolls, let me know if you want any requests or more information ⋅˚₊‧ ୨୧ ‧₊˚ ⋅ - Vivienne

Just a reminder that if you live in northern latitudes, especially ones that have a lot of gray days without sunshine, it's time to start taking your vitamin D supplements (yes, even people who don't have SAD should ask a health care professional about their vitamin D levels... many people have a deficiency and don't realize it, and it can be very difficult for some people to get enough just from their diet, especially if you don't see the sun at all for weeks at a time in the winter).
#i forgot to start taking mine as early as i normally do because it was warmer than normal#and man was i getting tired and cranky#luckily i started up before whatever bug is going around got to me#my joints are feeling a bit better now too#and here come the extra nail and hair growth benefits i always see when i take my supplements#🤣#do some research and talk to health care providers before you just start taking random supplements#but if you already know you need them especially if you're in gray wintry areas remember to start taking them again now
