I love your writing! Would you be able to write some fluffy headcanons about earth 42 miles meeting a quiet but not shy reader, and how they would be friends, and how they eventually start dating? Thank you - have a great day!!
Thank you so much i appreciate it <3
part 2
How do you guys meet?
You had a project together and everyone told you you’ll just have to do it by yourself because he does not care about school or grades.
Taken by surprise he actually reached out to you first catching you right when you were going to walk home.
He asked for your number and when you wanted to start.
“ Hey we gotta project in science together, when do you wanna start”
“ whenever you’d like” you say under your breath.
“hmm well wanna start like today I wanna get this done.”
“ yea sure, who’s house?“
“ I brought it up so mine”
And with that you followed him home.
When he opened the front door you where hit with and extremely delicious smell of authentic Puerto Rican food. Never in your life had you smelled something so good! Someone you assumed to be his mother spoke.
"Hola mi pequeño, cómo estuvo la escuela! ¡Oh, tienes una amiga! No me dijiste que alguien vendría, hubiera hecho más comida"
(Hello my little one, how was school! Oh, you have a friend! You didn't tell me someone was coming, I would have made more food)
“si, tenemos un proyecto escolar” he says motioning to you. She gives you the warmest smile “ well food will be done soon you can stay if you would like!” you ponder for a split second “ Yes I would love to Mrs. Morales”. “ Ok we gonna go work then”
You guys worked on the project pretty hard. Most of the time you could feel his eyes lingering on you. Buy nonetheless you guys were almost done! You decided to pause there because it was getting late. You completely forgot to tell your parents where you were; they decided to blow up your phone.
“ Hey um I cant stay for dinner Mrs. Morales Im sorry my parents need me home” “ Its ok mija! let me give you some to take home. “After giving you some food you turn to Miles. “ Thanks for having me over, we can finish on Friday if youd like?”
You said it quietly but your voice was invading his brain. “ Yea thats alright give me your number so we can talk later.” He says giving you his phone. “Yea sure”. You pass his phone back to him. “Good night Miles” you gave him the softest prettiest smile he’s ever seen.
He felt his ears heat up “good night”. He shuts the door then leans on the back sighing.
Rio looks over at him with a big smile on her face “Mi bebe esta enamorado ”
(my baby is in love)
—————————————
You have been fed for the week!! Ill try and get another done Friday but noooo promises.
Lmk if you want a part 2!
edit: part 2 will be pushed back, i don’t want it to be sloppy or badly written. I want to write to the best of my ability so please be patient!

Silent Hill: Gone Turbo
HE IS HERE AND HE IS HERE TO SUFFER!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I will now tell the tale of this silly little guy ✨
In this Au, Litwak’s arcade is located in Silent Hill.
This event happens after the road blasters incident and after the Arcade closes temorarily for a while.
Turbo and the Twins never survived the Road Blasters incident. But the day the arcade closed, Turbo was reborn inside the arcade in human form. Turbo wakes up seeing the arcade empty and confused as to why he’s inside an empty arcade. The cabinet games were looked to have been shut down (in the real world the cames are still plugged in and still running). Turbo’s memory of his life and what he had done has been erased. He only remembers his own name the Twins, Glitching and the town he lives in.
Turbo exits the Arcade and wanders the ghost town and takes time to get used to the environment and take time to think and all that stuff. Turbo eventually comes to the theory that the Twins are probably somewhere in the town and decides to go out and find them. In the typical Silent Hill fashion, He runs into monsters, people who are also looking for someone or something, people who want to kill him and all that stuff.
During Turbo’s journey he learns more about the town, The Order, the fire incident and just about anything there is to know about the town.
The twins ARE present. But the’re only visibly seen by Turbo and are not there for him for any good intentions. The twins exist in the Town as demonic spirits to Turbo to torment Turbo, ofc Turbo doesn’t remember what he has done until later and would live the rest of his human life in guilt and regret after defeating the twins.
Turbo would finally understand why he was reborn in the town. The monster infested town is his Hell. And he has to forever live in it until he finally accepts what he has done and forgives himself for it and promises himself and the arcade to be a better person.
There are Four endings you can choose from bassed on how you would like the ending to be.
Turbo moves on and forgives himself and decides to be a better person and forgive himself on what he has done. Turbo in this ending decides to find Litwack and help him through harsh times becoming his close friend and help him run the Arcade.
Turbo never forgives himself and forever blames himself for what he has done to hurt his twin friends that he was close too like they were his siblings (Turbo and the Twins are not related) and other people (even before the Road Blasters incident). He decides to forever force and drown himself in his sorrows, guilt and pain. forever live in the alternate nightmare of the town that is his Hell. Forever.
The UFO ending (if you’re a Silent Hill fan then you know lol-)
The Dog ending (again if ur a Silent Hill fan, you know)
Side Story: This is mostly about Litwack and as to why the Arcade has Temporarily closed.
Mr. Litwak’s wife had fallen severely ill to an unknown disease after Road Blasters and Turbo Time got unplugged. A week later Litwaks wife succumbs to the illness. Litwak becomes severely depressed and temprorarily closes the Arcade so he can get well and make funeral arrangements. Litwak never had another employee or assistant to help him continue run the Arcade during harsh times.
FUN FACTS: As a way for Turbo to save his progress, he uses an Nintendo NES console to save. He uses an unknown NES cartridge to put in the console and save. Throught the process of Turbo’s journey, the image on the cartridge slowly appears and becomes visible. Once fully visible the game title and image reveals to be “Turbo Time”. Which unlocks another memory for Turbo.
Another fun fact, at a point through Turbo’s journey he comes across two red cars that appeared to have collided into eachother. One is fully red and the other is red with a familiar white stripe. The white striped car seems to be the one that has caused the crash and looks to have “T boned” into the other car. The person in the car appears to be dead and looks to be veary familliar to a racer dressed in all white. The face though is completely unrecognizable as the face has been completely crushed and disfigured. A gold medal sits next to the dead body and is ised to unlock a door (yay know like your typical horror game puzzle/key fashion). This unlocks another vague memory, but Turbo didn’t know that the dead body was supposed to represent him after the incident.
Another fun fact: Turbo’s last name “Torrenz” was a last name he had given himself from a poster when he was talking to a cop.
ANYWAY thx for reading! This was actually sm fun to makkkeeeee hehehehehehe 💖💖💖

(tbh unless the person is super observant I dont think most ppl would get that it’s YOU causing this chaos lmao)
Like I can see Zhongli eventually getting it lol, other ppl I could see after the first few weeks of interacting with you (esp bc you mix it up, honestly it was only bc u kept playing the jeopardy theme over and over when Zhongli ranted on too long that he got it was you 💀):
Heizou (he’s the best detective on all of Inazuma’s islands, ofc he got it! no he will not acknowledge that he totally thought you were hiding a very musical tanuki somewhere on your person at all times lol)
Alhaitham and Cyno (haitham took like, two hours of walking around town with you and knew, bc he’s a little know-it-all lazy bastard like that, and Cyno is actually just really aware, despite what most ppl think, he’s the General Mahamatra and not just a regular Mahamatra for a reason after all)
Tighnari (i stg he can like, smell when bullshittery is happening in his vicinity …or... hear?)
Venti (unsurpringly, he’s totally in love with this power of yours, i mean he definitely loves you cares about you a lot he says, but you’re starting to think he’s just lying to butter you up into pranking Diluc, Barbara, Jean, and really the entirety of Mondstadt more often  including Zhongli just so he can laugh until he’s on the ground again, also he definitely once asked you to make a dragon sound that’s the equivalent of shouting FUCK at Dvalin when he was flying overhead one day)
Hmm
Hm hm hmmmm
Who elseee, i need a characcctterrr lisstttt…
Albedo (duh, he’s albedo, you think he has an entirely too thick folder dedicated to your recent obsessions, you rant a lot about it while playing and also he can access your browsing history 👀, and he somehow doesn't know that about you?? You’re like, literally one of his long-term, there-for-life, has-bought-a-house-for-free-in-his-head-you- arent-even-on-rent-anymore, hyperfixations or special interests. Autistic!Albedo is autistic, Because I Am Your God, And I Say It Is So.)
Dehya (always knows when its you walking around near her bc you like to listen to your old world’s songs too often when you arent pranking bitches, she actually rlly likes it and your music tastes…)
HOLY FUCK SPEED RUN BC GOD THERE’S TOO MANY BITCHES WANNA BE YOUR BABY, RIDING AROUND IN A DAMN MERCEDES-
OKAY-
SO not all in the same way or at the same time, or even the same length of time did they realize you literally change background music or some shit so I’ll let you just- you know okay- like you get it- you get it.
Xiao, Kazuha, Kaeya, Diluc, Ayato, Yae Miko, Keqing, Qiqi, Klee, Sara, Kuki, Nahida, Ningguang, Rosaria, Scaramouche/Babygirl, Dainsleif, Kokomi, Xinyan, Yun Jin, Yelan.
Jfc got the whole damn pride flag up here
Anyway everybody else outta luck, at least takes em a month or longer to get it lol
Sorry abt the end there i didnt feel like writing out all those bitches bc the few I did before were already longer than I thought they’d be…
Also, I am posting these spam of drafts (and that old follower 100+ event possession headcanons in prep for the next 2 weeks bc I will be really busy, again :/
Got spring break shenanigans this week, then I’ll be running around like a cat with zoomies bc im getting ready to install/actually submit my artworks for the gallery exhibition!
…wish me luck or prayers or anything good from any god you believe in, I need the strength.
With love, safe travels,

Hi!! I have been a lurker for a while and now I am feeling brave enough to request!
Can you do a headcanon for the reader being Hannibal’s assistant? Will and Hannibal both are interested in the reader 👀
shout out for all the silent lurkers and avid likers, all inspiring asks and lovely followers! we’ve hit 500 likes! thanks a lot, you can expect so much more pieces in the coming time. this is an excellent idea, i got to work as soon as i read your message, hope you enjoy it as much as i did, have a great day! <3
pairing: hannibal x gn!reader, will graham x gn!reader
warnings: mention of mental illness, obsessive behaviour
you came to know hannibal while working night shifts at baltimore hospital
you were supporting your family through a rough time and nights just payed better
it was rather depressing: nurses were catching naps and doctors counting minutes to the end of work day (or rather work night)
and there was you: giving out coffees and words of encouragement, always happy to help
it would take a keen observer to notice how miserable in fact you were
abnormal amount of pills and concealer in your desk, the faces you made when seemingly no one was watching
towards him you were perfectly professional yet warm, greeting him with smiling eyes and polite nod
he wanted to help you get out of here, find a place for you to get better
so when months later hannibal was setting up his own practice, he immediately thought of you
you seemed like a perfect candidate for an assistant: organised, punctual and your presence was warm and comforting
this was the quickest job interview
when you picked up the phone and heard lecter’s voice, surprised would be an understatement
he was a man of a few words and you could count the times you spoke to him on the fingers of one hand
yet you were touched by the offer and accepted it the same day
the hours were much better and wage way beyond your qualifications, but you were just happy to quit your crappy job at the hospital
this time hannibal was the one greeting you with hot coffee in the morning and if the sessions extended into the evening, you would drink tea together
of course, the job had also its downsides
offering smiles to troubled souls, often comforting them after an especially rough meeting
one time a guy stormed off from the office, yelling insults left and right
you tried calming him down, it wasn’t the first time it happened, but all efforts seemed to angry him even more
he was getting dangerously close, threatening to kill you, when hannibal punched him in the face and shut the door in his face
“i assure you, he won’t step his foot here ever again”
still shaky, you hugged him tightly
that’s when he promised himself to keep you safe
soon many patients started to disappear, filling your days with long conversations with hannibal
the only person he paid attention to besides you was will graham, a detective and hannibal’s patient
not long after you three became inseparable
eating meals together became a daily routine, hannibal insisted on gifting you dresses every time he was having guests
when the host was entertaining the crowd, will kept you company
you were both outsiders and having him by your side was warm, comforting
he would always joke about running away from the party together
eventually hannibal would break you away, scolding will for denying others the pleasure of your company
by “others” he meant himself
he hated the way you looked at the other man, how he clasped your hand sneaking off from the party
the soirées always ended with an elaborate toast, during which he never broke eye contact with you, making you feel like the star of the evening
will was fuming inside but kept smiling till it was time to walk you home
they insisted you needed both of them just in case something would happen
they never let you out of their sight
just in case, you know

Janis ‘Imi’ike x burnt out troubled kid reader where readers parents kick them out again and reader doesn’t want to come to their friends with their troubles so they try to stay away from everyone.
Be Alright
Janis ‘Imi’ike x gn! reader
Warnings: fluff, angst, some coarse language, underage drinking + driving, implied depression, mentions of death due to illness
In which, reader is way too independent and doesn’t like asking for help. Even when they really need it
“y/n, talk to me.”
“No. I’m fine. I’m just tired, I slept at 3a.m. last night.”
You hung up on Janis, tossing your phone aside and just closed your eyes.
~~~~~
“Hey, I haven’t seen you at school today. What’s going on?”
“Uh, I— I have the flu so I’m at home.” You admitted painfully.
“Oh, I’ll be by soon with some soup.”
“You don’t have to—”
“I’ll be there very soon.”
~~~~~
“Hey.” Janis nudged you from the back and you got startled awake.
“What time did you get to sleep last night?” She asks, you rested your head on folded arms.
“I don’t know.” You answered incoherently, “4?”
“What?”
“I don’t know the exact time okay? I drank last night.”
~~~~~
Your Mom has just picked you up from the police station after you arrested for drinking and driving. It was just after 3a.m.— you were tired, so was she. She was angry and so were you. The tension was high and even in your state, you could see that she’s had it with you.
“y/n, this is the third time this has happened.” She sighs while pulling up in the driveway of your house, “I’m sick of bailing you out of these things all the time. What is it with you? Why do you always get yourself in such situations?”
You didn’t say anything but just got out of the car. “I’m afraid I’m gonna have to kick you out. Until you show that you’re actually going to change for the better instead of harming yourself all the time. Your grades are slipping, you barely sleep, you skip school so often. Why?”
“Fuck it.”
Your Mom takes a deep breath, biting the inside of her cheek. She was about to ask you to talk about everything that was bothering you but then she just…“Yeah, okay. Fuck it!” Your Mom yelled back, “Pack up and leave, right now.”
Holding back tears, you ran into the house to pack a bag. Your stepfather stops you when he saw you running up the stairs to asked you what happened but you just ignored him, swallowing the tears. After hastily putting as much as you could into your backpack, you left the house without saying a word to either of your parents.
You made your way to Janis’, angry, terrified and heartbroken. Stepping onto her porch, you rang the doorbell. You saw a shadow in the window of Janis’ room— she was awake. Then, it disappeared before the front door swung open and you came face to face with her. “y/n.” She was shocked to see you like this— red-faced, unkempt, teary-eyed. “Come in, baby.”
You followed her lead up to her bedroom quietly. You sat down on her bed and she shuts the door behind herself. “What happened?” She asked gently, pulling her desk chair up to sit before you.
“My Mom kicked me out. Said she was done with me getting into trouble.” You told her curtly.
“Did you drink again?” She asks you hesitantly. You look at her and tried not to roll your eyes but eventually admitted that you had indeed been drinking— and driving. That was your final strike.
“I just miss my Dad, Jan.” You revealed, you couldn’t help it but sniffle.
Your Dad— not your stepfather. The guy who was your biggest role model and cheerleader — the guy who promised that he’d always be there for you. He had passed away nearly a year ago to an aggressive form of cancer.
“How could he just—” You choked on a sob, head buried in your hands. Janis grabs your hands, her thumbs stroking your knuckles. You shook your head, as if to get rid of the thoughts. “I just— I miss him so much, and my Mom— it’s like she doesn’t even care anymore. All she cares about is her new guy.”
Janis knew. Deep down, she just knew you wouldn’t just act out for the heck of it. You did it because you wanted your Mom’s attention- her love and care. Which she has failed to give you ever since she started dating three months after your Dad passed. You flat out started refusing to talk to her about anything other than stupid stuff like the weather and the time. She’d ask how you were doing, and you just dismissively said you were okay— even on days that you weren’t. Janis knew it. But she didn’t want to push you. She was scared to push you too hard and break you even more. Janis has been trying to help you in any way she could, without you even asking. You appreciated her for it, but lately, you haven’t been showing it really well.
She got into bed with you, holding you in her arms. “You’ll be alright.” She whispers, rubbing your back, “This, I promise you. I will help you with anything you need in order to get better again. Right now, ignore your Mom and the new guy. What you need to do is focus on yourself. Finding healthy ways to cope. I know you’re feeling frustrated and angry because your Dad left so suddenly. But you know that he would never leave you if he could choose. He loves you. That’ll never change. But right now, your own life is in your hands. How you choose to live every day…are you just gonna desperately try to get your Mom to notice you all while harming your own health or are you going to live your best life, the life you’re supposed to live and continue making your Dad proud? I know for a fact that he is so proud of you— I could see it. Okay? There is no doubt in that.”
You listened to her while you laid your head in her chest, one arm around her and your other hand naturally rested on her chest near her torso. “It’s so hard.”
“I know, bubba.” Janis presses a kiss to the top of your head, “But I know I’ll go through all of it with you, just as I have been, alright? You can always come to me— for anything. I mean it, y/n. Anything.”
You nod wordlessly.
“I want you to promise me.” She added on, stroking your hair.
You locked eyes with her, taking in a deep breath, “I promise.”
“Right now, what I want you to do…is get some sleep. Think you can do that? I’ll be right here cuddling you.”
You hummed, “Yeah.”
“Good.” Janis continues stroking your hair, then went smoothly down your back, “Close your eyes. Sleep tight, y/n.”
small angry man gone!
authors note, i'm not looking for gifs on this ASS wifi ever again, so don't expect pizazz from my laptop posts... (note!! i figured out how to do a hotspot, no more fiddly wire! yahoo!) continuation to this because i waaaas going to do another prompt, but i wanted to write the average autistic shopping experience (real) anyway goodnight guys!! :) enjoy the boring read i promise ill write something fun eventually, maybe something spicyHAHA Traffic Lights pt.2, Sniper/reader, 1.2k words (again!)
“Milk, eggs, lasagna sheets–” A soft snicker sounds off next to you, and you shoot a sidelong glare in it's direction.
“Yeah, yeah, I’m not gonna feed you in a minute.” That shut him up quickly, and Sniper proceeded to turn tail and head down the liquor aisle of the gas station you had had to stop at. It wasn’t exactly your choice to stop here, quite the contrary, after your little bump in the road, (and a new felony charge to add to Sniper’s repertoire, you probably counting as an accomplice) the camper had run fine, and you had about a half hour left to get to the shop, but well, it didn’t quite go to plan.
Five minutes in, the engine had began to splutter and backfire, displeasing Sniper, and meaning you had to pull into the nearest gas station. Should be good enough, you hope. Doing the weekly shop in a gas station wasn’t ideal, so you’d have to make do with getting the bare essentials for dinner, and pray someone would be willing to go out tomorrow, probably Engineer. A minute or two of searching, and you’ve found most of what you needed, almost cocking up and dropping the eggs, but you managed to steady them, teetering in the crook of your elbow. Sniper, of course, had wandered off with the basket, when he’d made it look like he’d stick around, now you’ll have to go find him. Which you will, in a minute. Maybe. These chocolates look nice. Another minute or two and you’ve got some chocolate buttons stuffed in your pocket, and you’re trotting away, a slight, pleased smile on your face as you find Sniper, who is standing, hands on his hips, staring at a bottle of hennesy the size of your heads, combined.
“I’m not paying for that.” You say, interrupting his longing stare off with the ornate bottle, and he turns, tutting and holding the basket out to you.
“Neither am I, mate. You think those cameras are on?” He asks, a playful lilt to his voice as he plucks the chocolates from your pocket and drops them into the basket atop the rest of the things. You roll your eyes, you hadn’t been planning on stealing them.
“Needed a hand free, someone fucked off with the basket, yeah?” You wipe your hands off on your pants and take the basket from him, looking around the aisle. It’s a pretty roomy gas station, in your opinion, long, wide aisles, seeming much bigger inside, than it did outside. The shelves were pretty stocked too. You walk slowly down the aisle, looking over all the labels, different liqueurs from different countries, labelled in differing languages.
“Tav- Demo would love this.” You laugh, correcting yourself swiftly, sensing Sniper looming behind you. You glance back, and he’s not looking anywhere near you, eyes absolutely pinned onto the booze.
“Shrink a little, stretch, there’s some good stuff on the lower shelves.” With that, he’s got his hands planted on his knees, glaring at the bottom shelves in peaceful silence, asides from the occasional ooh and ah. You chortle at his antics and wander off, jostling the basket in front of you to squeeze past a few narrow points, managing to find a good jar or three of pasta sauce, and lasagna sheets, huzzah!
Quest complete, and, if your morals were any further down the drain, you’d’ve darted out of the back door you’d now settled next to, staring into the ice cream freezer to it’s side. Alas, you weren’t made for thievery. Judging by the clink, and new weight of a bottle being slid sneakily into your basket, neither was Sniper.
“I said I’m not paying for it, carry it yourself Mick.” You huff warningly as you turn, looking down at the basket first, then up to the stupid fucking puppy dog eyes staring back at you. Staring. Absolutely staring, he’s not saying a word, but he’s pulling his wallet, Australian flag adorned and all, from his pocket and giving you a tenner. You can’t seem to stop yourself from shoving it back into his hand, trying to ignore the sly smirk that sweeps onto his face.
“Stop, alright, don’t look at me like that, you strange man.” He's smiling, you're trying not to.
“‘M not a strange man, I'd be buying you a drink if that were the case. I'm a very normal man, I'd say.” He pushes his glasses up the bridge of his nose as he tucks his wallet back into his pocket.
“A very normal man, with a hankering for a very normal amount of booze, yeah?” You chuckle, rolling your eyes as you jostle the baskets handle into being comfortable in your hand, he nods, and steps to the side, allowing you past with a cordial wave of his hand.
“A very normal amount.” He affirms, snaggletooth poking out from his meek smile. He follows behind you as you walk away from the back of the store, heading towards the front counters, silently scanning over every item in the basket to make sure nothing was forgotten. He didn't want to drive back up here again, and deal with more wankers on the roads.
He'd probably still have to deal with them on the way back, sadly, that he knew, but it shouldn't be too bad, it was coming up to seven at night now, after all. He picks at the old, bloomed purple line that stripes across his thumb as you make small talk with the cashier. He's eyeing the scratchies, and he can see you eyeing the cigs on the back wall.
Swiftly, as the cashier scans the items, he's grabbed a bag off the front rack and started bagging your goodies, making sure not to put the heavy stuff on top of the soft, or crumbly stuff. Like dominoes, he thinks.
The cashier asks if you've got anything on the pumps, and Sniper pat's his pockets, checking for his keys.
“No, no, erh– should be fine without, yeah?” You look back at him, and he nods, takes the two bags he's packed, and stands there idly as you pay. The fluorescents were getting to him, the dag of a man. He shifts on his feet, weight unable to settle on one leg or the other until you're stepping around the counter, and out the door, he follows suit eagerly.
The outside air is pleasantly cold, not too much so, but you can still see the slight puffed presence of your breath linger in front of you before dissipating. You take a deep breath, and turn back, grabbing one of the bags from Sniper.
“Thaaaank you!” You chirp, slowing your swift pace to walk at his side, back to the camper. “I'll sit with the bags at my feet, I don't want them rolling about in the back.” He chuckles softly and passes you the other bag once you reach the camper, fumbling for a moment to find his key, and unlock it.
In a moments notice, you're in the camper, feet squished by the hefty bags as you're clipping yourself into the seat, adjusting the seatbelt to be comfortable.
“Got everything?” The camper rattles as he shuts his side door after him, clipping in too, rolling his window right the way down. He waits for your approval before sticking his head out the window to check behind himself, then peels out of the spot he'd parked in. “And we're off, back to base, roo!” He caws cheerfully, dialling the radio up nice and loud, Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin on full blast of course. the end, thank u for the love <3 just imagine ye get back to base and cook a bomb ass lasagna aye
Can you probs do a stan x kyle x sick gn reader whose so fukkin stubborn it drives kyle crazy so he eventually calls stan to take care of them? 😭 if not its ok ill take pete or damien 😻
sure
STAN X KYLE X SICK GN! READER
(This might be bad so please forgive me cuz I really never wrote an oneshot before)
Today I wanted to go out with my friends Kyle, Kenny, Stan and Cartman... but there was a problem... I'm sick and I promised to go to Starks Pond. I'm just laying in bed and I'm bored until...
"I'm going there! Even if I'm sick!" I stood up and immediately felt dizzy, I ignored it and packed my things and went out to Stark Ponds where I saw my friends
Kyle and Kenny waved to me, Stan and Cartman weren't there yet.
"hi y/n" kyle said and smiled at me.
“hi kyle and hi kenny” I said
"Stan and Cartman are coming, fatass really wanted to get KFC," Kenny mumbled.
I laughed a little and immediately felt dizzy again, which Kyle noticed.
"uhmm y/n? could it be that you're sick?"
"huh? what?" I asked him.
"are you sick?" he asked me again.
"No, I never get sick, Kyle" I answered him and coughed.
Kenny and Kyle just gave me worried looks..
“Dude, you should go home and rest,” said Kenny.
"No, I'm not going, I came here to have fun with you guys!"
“y/n it gets worse when you’re like this out here in the cold!” Kyle said.
"I stay here!"
Kyle sighed
"Good, you wanted it that way... Kenny tell Stan and Cartman that me and Y/N can't come with you guys"
 Kyle said to Kenny and grabbed my arm.
"NO! let go!"
I tried to free myself from him but his grip was too strong. He didn't say anything and dragged me to my house
he took me to my room.
“lie down y/n” he said.
"I don't want to!" I said stubbornly.
Kyle just looked annoyed at my stubbornness.
“listen y/n if you don’t rest you can’t get better!” he said and threw me (gently) onto the bed.
"Wait a minute" he said and went out of the room..... when he came back after a few minutes he had a spoon full of medicine. "What is that?" I asked Kyle.
"Medicine, and don't argue back!"
"I dont want it "
He just sighed angrily and took out his phone
Kyle tapped his phone and called Stan.
"hey dude, where are you?" Kyle asked.
"I'm at Starks Pond with Kenny and Cartman right now... I heard you two aren't coming. What's wrong?" he asked with concern in his voice.
I sighed.. well Stan... Y/n is sick and refuses to do anything... she/he doesn't want to rest or take her medicine...
“Should I come to you?” Stan asked.
“that’s why I called you... I’m sure you’ll convince y/n.
After half an hour the doorbell rang.
"who is this?" I asked Kyle.
"It's just Stan don't worry."
"Hi guys" Stan said and looked at me worried
"Thank god Stan, she drives me crazy" Kyle said..
"HEY!" I pouted, offended. Stan had to giggle.
“You two are like an old married couple,” Stan joked.
Me and Kyle looked at him like he was an alien or something and blushed a little
"whatever" stan got serious.
“take your medicine y/n”
"How many more times do I want to-"
“y/n!” Stan said sternly...
Come on, why are you all so stupid today?
"Fine..." I sighed... "but it doesn't taste good."
Kyle rolled his eyes "the taste didn't kill anyone"
"You two are so mean!"
“y/n you said you were taking the medicine” stan sighed.
"I've decided, I don't want to-.." I was interrupted by Kyle kissing me (on the cheek (I can change it if you want)) "Shut up and just take it!" he said, blushing. "o-okay" I blushed. Stan just grinned at us. "You two are cute when you blush" he said and kissed us both on the cheek.. "SHUT UP STAN!" we both screamed.
and yes... in the end I took my medication and went to sleep. But I'm not alone because Stan and Kyle watched me all night so nothing happened to me
(I think it’s okay? Sorry if it’s bad, like I said it is my first oneshot and I am also not good about feelings)
Ditto - part 1
Tumblr media
pairing : lee felix x fem!reader genre : a slice of life , fluff , angst warning : mention of mental illness (it's my first time writing this topic, so pls avoid this if you get triggered easily)
blurb : hallucinations can be a real issue, we overcome it eventually but what happens when you can't tell between real and fake?
_
You recently moved back from the states. And because of that, you were placed back in year 1 of junior college instead of going to year 2. Lucky for you, an old friend, bang christopher chan who happens to attend the same college as you, had so kindly offered to bring you around school. He had shown you a picture of his friends and said that he would introduce you to them later on. However, you do have an issue of staying in one spot for more than a minute.
“Stay right here while I go talk to the headmaster, okay?”
You nodded your head enthustatically. Chan hesitantly leave you. He turned to take a glance at you before ultimately leaving. Your eyes wandered around the empty hallway before landing on someone familiar.
_
“You must be felix!”, you exclaimed.
The male infront of you stumbled backwards in surprise. He shuts his locker door before turning to look at you. His brows frown in displease.
“Geez, who are you even?” he said, feeling annoyed. He tugged the strap of his backpack while leaning against his locker door.
_
Meanwhile Chan stepped out of the headmaster’s office. “Okay y/n, we can-”. He looked up to see no one. He let out a dreadful sigh. “go…geez this girl”. You were exactly the same as he recalled back when you two were 12 years old.
_
You smiled widely before trying to introduce yourself. Just then, someone suddenly pulled you back by grabbing your backpack. You knew who it was.
“Y/N!” Chan yelled at you. You looked at him sheepishly.
Chan looked at his other friend before apologizing. “Sorry about that bro, y/n just got excited to meet you and the other boys”, Chan patted your head.
The expression on Felix's face didn’t change one bit. He stared down at you. “So you’re the girl that Chan had been talking about. Nice to meet you i guess”. His eyes glared down at you, clearly not pleased to meet you at all.
Felix excused himself, leaving you both behind. Chan looked at you with a small smile. “Sorry about him, he’s just not in the mood, I promise, he is nice…when you get closer to him”. You forced out a small smile before nodding your head.
_
After that awkward attempt of becoming friends with Felix, you resorted to sticking with Chan only. You weren’t going to lie, you were embarrassed that you made the wrong first impression on felix. Part of you felt that, maybe you’re just not suited to be in this school. However, Chan reassured you that everything was going to be alright and to give it time.
He then proceeded to drag you to meet his friends the very next day despite your cries of “no’s”. The moment you were met with a group of boys whom he called his friends, you hid behind his back. He lets out a sigh.
“Guys. meet y/n. She’s my childhood friend and she recently moved back from the states…so don’t scare her, will ya?” Chan pulled you to stand by his side.
You slowly looked up at them before lightly bowing your head. “It’s nice to meet you, please be nice to me”, you spoke softly, feeling intimidated by the stares given by the boys.
Changbin was the first one to give in, welcoming you warmly with a hug. Following him was jisung, he was shy but as someone who he could relate to, he knew not welcoming you would make you feel anxious.
“I hope to be good friends with you!~”, Changbin exclaimed with a huge smile on his face.
The other boys followed along, welcoming you warmly, making you open up to them. Well…all but Lee felix. You purse your lips, thinking to yourself that he was probably still mad over what had happened yesterday.
Suddenly a box of containers was shoved into your hands. You quickly grabbed it out of reflex. Turns out it was a container full of brownies goods. You looked up and saw Felix right in front of you.
Sorry for yelling at you yesterday”, he mumbles lowly.
A smile creeped from the corner of your lips. “Thanks lix”. He only let out a grunt before moving away from you. Chan and the other boys smiled at the sight of the event that just unfolded in front of their very eyes. All of them had the same thought as well.
_
Days turned into weeks. You got closer to the boys, all thanks to Chan. However, you also got to learn more about Felix, minus the fact that it was difficult to get him to talk to you.
You knew you shouldn’t eavesdrop but you couldn’t help it. Something about him just intrigues you. Now standing behind a pillar while you listen carefully to the conversation between Seungmin and felix. You could see how Seungmin suddenly gave Felix that look when you knew he was hiding something. Felix rolled his eyes at seungmin before shutting his locker door.
“What is it?” Felix spoke.
Seungmin leaned against the wall, looking at felix. “So, did you see the therapist?”. Felix let out a groan before attempting to walk away from seungmin. You raised your brows. Thinking to yourself, “why would Felix need a therapist?”.
Seungmin held Felix's wirst, stopping him avoiding the question. Felix roughly pulled his hand away from his friend’s grasp. “How many times have I told you. I. Don’t. Need. help.”, Felix exclaimed. His younger friend sighed. “Lix. bro, you know i care about you, right?...if you’re still hearing these voices and seeing this illusion, you need to get help”, seungmin explains for the thousandth time.
Felix sighed, looking down to his feet. “I-...I’ll be fine, it’s probably just stress”, felix exclaims. Seungmin patted his shoulder. “If you feel like you’re not okay…tell me, alright? That’s what friends are for”, Seungmin reassured Felix with a smile. Your brows furrowed. This was something you might want to ask Chan before jumping to conclusion.
_
“Chan…”, you called out softly.
He lets out a hum in response, stuffing his mouth full of noodles. You bit your lips nervously before picking up the courage to ask. “Is something wrong with felix?”. Chan swallowed his food before turning to look at you. His brows furrowed. “Why are you asking me that? Felix is fine”.
He clearly knew what was going on but he was hiding it from you. So you decided to come clean. “I might have eavesdropped seungmin’s and felix’s conversation the other day…sorry”, you looked up at him with doey eyes, hoping that he’ll forgive you.
He stood up from the dinner table, moving to place his enter plate in the sink. Your eyes followed him. Chan turned around, looking at you, resting the palm of his hands against the counter. “You promise that you’ll keep this as a secret?”. You nodded your head immediately, wanting to know. Chan sighed before hesitantly telling you.
“we found out that felix was suffering from schizophrenia. He has a therapist that he suppose to get treatment from but he is refusing to attend his therapy session despite being pushed countless of times”
“...does his parents know that he is…skipping?”
“They do, they did everything they could for him but he just refuses to get treatment. So…we as friends, try to persuade him to at least eat his medication because we all love and care for him”. He pursed his lips. Eyes tearing up at the thought of his friend’s suffering. “It’s the only thing we could do to help him keep sane”.
“I’m sorry for asking”. You felt guilty. Chan walked over to you, gently ruffling your hair. “It’s fine, you are bound to find out sooner or later”, he forced a smile, looking down at you who sat silently.
Stay in the middle Like you a little Don't want no riddle 말해줘 say it back, oh, say it ditto 아침은 너무 멀어 so say it ditto
To be continued…
[i'm so sorry it's so short T-T]
hiiiii muse page list update post i meant to do earlier but then i had icecream and did other things instead peace sign
this is for the full one on my page, srry i dont have it elsewhere/on my pinned yet. eventually. peace sign. as per always my multi is a billion times messier than my other blogs(guy who cant shut up)👍👍👍 atm the most proper writing will be happening on akira. probably
added general links of the gbf main story archive, and the a3 & prommy of wizard main story translations👍
on that note added sakuya & misumi (a3!) & chloe, figaro & mitile (promise of wizard) except figaro is mostly type0 verse & mitile will likely lean toward gbf au for a lil bit. thats not to say theyll stay this way (im about to reread+finish main story pt2), its just that i unfortunately am obsessed with type0. i will probably eventually put the rest of spring troupe on my 'wanna pick up' list....(person whos oshi is omi
on that note i should make a new type0 oc i need a silly class9 girlie SO bad. that was the foolery secret intel class right
i can not explain why type0 lives this much in my head
natsume (natsume yuujinchou) is on the list too now. lanna & lumina (island of happiness/a wonderful life) are there for now we'll see who else i add. none have descriptions yet, i know i have one for lanna & natsume from olds blogs but :[ i didnt wanna today
updated mika's (gbf) page with the text i wrote a while back, i'll revise it in the future. fenrir, morphe&phoebe, thelonim has events&fate eps linked on their pages now. emu has the official playlists of wxs main story & her first focus event added.
none of these links are meant in a 'check these', but rather, if you ever get interested in any of the media/characters, there's places to check. i should add the wxs digest anime to emus oh my god i forgot about that one
all the new charas are gonna take some months to be implemented properly...<3 i havent started rereading a3 still & i took a break from natsuyuu when my dog got surgery in february. they're there cuz i felt like updating the lists with links, and figured why not add the rest too. lots of descriptions are missing still. 'then why even add them' because faty was alrdy sending me stuff for figaro so why not actually put him on the list sunglass emoji
i added it on the muse page too, but if u dont know where to start then emu & fenrir are always good choices👍 once my emu break is over ill get back to all of that. phoebe is also a good choice thinking about it...
I'd love a run-down of why your favourite characters are your favourites (note: doesn't have to be coherent) and maybe a few recs/tips on how to get started with the overall canon, if you don't mind?
Oh MAN where do I begin?
Okay so I adore so many of the characters, but Shadow and Silver are probably two of my favorites!
This is gonna be a long one so I'm putting everything under a readmore lol
Okay, lemme talk about Shadow first:
He's like. My favorite, FAVORITE Sonic character ever. I get that he's the "edgy" one, but he has so much depth to him and sometimes even SEGA themselves kind of forget that. Sometimes he's just written as a straight up jerk, but listen. If you watched your best friend get killed right in front of you, plummeted down to earth IMMEDIATELY after, then are manipulated by the grandson of the guy who created you to help him carry out his deeds for world domination, you're gonna be a bit bitter.
But honestly Shadow's backstory gets me. His best friend, Maria Robotnik, was a sickly young girl who he was originally created by Maria's grandfather, Gerald Robotnik, as part of a way to find a cure for the rare disease she had. They have this really sweet sibling bond and I love them so much. She was born on this ship called Space Colony ARK, and due to her illness she wasn't able to go down to earth. For some reason, living in space like slowed the conditions of her illness? But Shadow was part of a project that would help find a cure for it. Unfortunately, the government got involved, deemed Shadow a threat, and shut the project down, and killed Maria in the process.
Before she died, she got Shadow in an escape pod and begged him to protect the people of earth, since it was always her dream to live on earth. And 50 years later, he's found by Eggman, or Ivo Robotnik. And Eggman wants to take over the world. So he pretty much manipulates Shadow into doing his bidding, but at the end of the day, Shadow joins Sonic and friends and saves the day.
And despite it all, while he's still an anti-hero, does what he thinks he has to do to achieve his goals, even if it's maybe not the BEST way, he still genuinely cares about Maria and keeps her promise. Poor kid's just traumatized and has gone through the ringer. But he DOES have a heart, despite what people say. He may not say it, but he definitely cares about his friends and I think he does care for Sonic in a way, despite them being rivals.
I could go on and on and on about how much I love Shadow, but this would get so much longer than it already is lol.
Now for Silver:
The ultimate son boy. Best boy. Sunshine boy. I love him, and despite his first appearence, he's utterly hellbent on killing Sonic because he thinks he's the bad guy, Silver is a huge sweetheart.
Silver is actually from the future, and it's... not a good one. His first Appearance was Sonic 06, which is... very infamous. The game sadly got rushed and isn't the best game, but I think it has a pretty decent storyline for Shadow and Silver. For Sonic... it could have been better. But Silver's whole thing is finding a way to save the future from becoming this bleak and dark place. And unfortunately, he also gets manipulated by Mephiles the Dark into trying to kill Sonic. And for most of the game, that's Silver's one and only goal. However he starts rethinking everything and wondering if he's actually doing the right thing. Eventually he finds out the truth, joins Sonic and Co. and saves the day!
However the events of Sonic 06 technically don't happen. Kind of bullshit if you ask me. Especially since he had this adorable friendship with Blaze the Cat (who is also really cool), but the altered timeline made them not know each other. However, they do end up getting close again! I shipped them pretty hardcore when I was younger, and tbh. Still kind of do.
But overall, Silver is a big sweetheart, and he is a little naive and insecure at times, he has the best intentions at heart and I truly think he's a very solid character and if they ever brought him into the movies, I would flip out. He deserves to have more of the spotlight!
Now for getting started with the franchise, there's a LOT of videos on YouTube that can explain the Sonic lore, and while you can definitely look into the old Sonic games from the Sega Genesis, I recommend starting with the Sonic Adventure games! They're not directly related to each other, so you can go straight to SA2, but I do recomment looking into SA1, just because it is genuinely a fun game (except for Big's fishing levels... love you, Big, but your game play was confusing). But I HIGHLY recommend looking into SA2, especially before watching the third Sonic movie whenever that comes out.
After that, I would look into Sonic Heroes (tbh. my fave Sonic game), Shadow the Hedgehog, and Sonic 06. Then Sonic Generations. There are more games in between 06 and Generations, but I think these games will give you the best introduction to most of the characters. I would also say the Sonic Advanced and Sonic Rush games are good to look into as well.
You can find the cutscenes for pretty much any Sonic game on youtube, that's how I "watched" them if I didn't have them.
Then games I like but you don't NEED to play them because they tie into the bigger story are Sonic Unleashed and the Sonic Riders series. Then Sonic and the Secret Rings, then The Black Knight are fun too!!
Also watch Sonic X! It's a genuinely good show despite what people say. And if you want some good laughs, Sonic Boom is great. I was surprised at how much it made me laugh, and actually got me to like the VAs since I used to be deadset on the 4kids cast (In my defense, I was 12 when the cast changed and didn't know anything about it until I got Sonic Colors for Christmas that year, and when Sonic and Tails sounded drastically different, I lost my shit. I love Roger and Colleen so fucking much now though!)
And then the IDW comics are apparently really good! I haven't read them yet because I'm trying to get into the TMNT comics as well and I'm overwhelmed on which to start haha. But my boyfriend reads them and loves them!
Again, I adore talking about Sonic so please feel free to send in more questions, or even DM me! If you want I can even give you my discord!
And that actually goes for anyone. You want Sonic or TMNT info? Don't hesitate to ask! I'll give whatever info I can!!!
like yeah i do actually have my own idea i’d love to cultivate into its own novel but i also really wanna write about louis philippe’s years in exile, or at least from his first time in palermo until he was able to go back to france
#personal#i'll shut up about this eventually i promise i know y'all don't care#but like even outside of his marriage to My Girl#imagine being this guy#you really believe in the ideals of this revolution#but then this revolution gets super trigger happy so you decide to defect because you're also fighting in the army for them#but because you defect the revolution jails your father and your brothers#and you can't be with your sister and mom in exile because the revolutionaries hate you for defecting#and the emigres hate you for your father being philippe egalité#so you're on your own and you hear that your father (after he denounced you) was still guillotined#so you're alone and your dad is dead *because of you*#and your brothers finally get released and you all meet up (in post revolutionary america seriously they met hamilton)#and then you spend some time in sicily (becoming friends with the NIECE OF MARIE ANTOINETTE) but when you leave#both of your brothers die in england#because they never fully recovered from illnesses they had in prison (where they were because of you)#and your favorite brother dies specifically right next to you asking you to hold his hand#and then you can't even marry an english princess because catholic#so then you go BACK to sicily and your sister and mom are still away from you so you're totally alone#like that's fucking rough#and that's not even touching on the fact that he only tried to marry his wife AFTER coming back to sicily the second time#i've still got more shit he did
HERE IS A PROMPT FOR YOU: scully’s a little sick maybe and mulder tries to be helpful? (maybe he makes her instant ramen bc it’s the only thing he can really make that isnt in the microwave and also hey its got broth? that means it’s nutritious for the sicklies right? :’))
unabashed self-indulgence here because my brain is,,,, slightly rotting shdjdbsj. I fully believe Melissa Scully dragged her little sister out some weekend in mid-1993 to gossip about cute, jerk FBI partners and watch the silly dinosaur movie. you can pry this pointless headcanon from my cold, dead hands.
stop to think if they should
1k words | mid-s2 | tagging @today-in-fic :)
"Mulder, it's me," says Scully's stuffy-nosed voice across the phone line, and Mulder chuckles at how peeved she sounds.
She is the latest casualty to the latest cold bug going around, and had left work early the day before because of it, glaring at him when he called after her to get some rest. He supposes she must be sick of hearing that, after the last few months. First her abduction and subsequent recovery, then the quarantine after their fiasco at Mt. Avalon, then Pfaster. She's back in the field, but it hasn't been an easy time and she's probably going stir-crazy, if not crazy otherwise. She laughs louder now when she laughs, and he can't complain about that, but it's a little desperate, like she's looking for light she can't quite reach.
"Hey," he greets, "How you feeling?"
She sighs. "Achy, congested, and bored out of my mind," she says, then too-quickly adds, "But I'm fine, I promise." Which is when he knows she's not.
He's leaving the office a little late, tosses a bundle of files into the back of his car. "Want me to come over?"
"I said I'm fine, I don't need-"
"I know," he assures her. "But I've heard I'm an entertaining guy, so..."
She hesitates, a silence so thick he can practically hear it over the phone line. "Okay," she eventually says, a little quieter than before. "Sure, if you want to."
"Want me to pick anything up on my way?" He asks, smiling to himself at her acquiescence. "Some food, a movie?"
More hesitation, practically her trademark, and he's already pulling into a supermarket that he knows makes great soup. For someone with a large, obviously caring family, Scully is terrible at allowing others to take care of her. Maybe the old adage about doctors making the worst patients is true, after all. She mumbles a title and he laughs out loud, backtracking when she stammers a quick, embarrassed "nevermind".
"I got it, Scully. Half an hour, tops." He barely shuts his mouth on the casual, instinctive love you that nearly slips out, stunning himself to stillness momentarily.
He does — love her, that is, even if he can't quite pin down what that means. Her abduction proved that; she's quite possibly the most important person in his life and he's still not sure what to do about it. He buys a big container of chicken soup, enough for Scully to have leftovers for the next day, grabs a carton of ice cream — neapolitan, because he doesn't know what kind she likes best — and rents a movie. For now, he can do this for her.
She's curled up in a corner of the couch when he lets himself in, dangling the plastic supermarket bag from one hooked finger. "The party," he says by way of greeting, "Has arrived."
Scully gives half a smile over her shoulder, wrapped in a tassel-ended blanket and draped in an oversized souvenir sweatshirt he'd bought her as an apology in the Anchorage airport, after their disastrous trip to Alaska last year. That, he thinks, feels like something out of a movie. Her nose is red and her freckles are a little hidden by the flush of her cheeks, and she looks a little bit miserable, but miserable is better than genuinely ill.
"I meant to ask," she says, wobbling back and forth on the cool tile of her kitchen floor as he hunts around for bowls and spoons, "Who, exactly, has said you're entertaining?"
Mulder stops his kitchenwide search and fixes her in his gaze for a moment. She's teasing him, yes, but she's also got a hint of genuine curiosity in her bleary blue eyes. "Mostly strangers," he says with a sheepish chuckle. "In bars."
That gets a little bit of a laugh from her, then she coughs raggedly into her elbow and tugs the blanket — which she's holding like a cape, clasped around her shoulders — a little tighter. She points to the drawer where she keeps her silverware, then retreats back to the living room. After presenting her with a bowl — or cup, since it has a handle, but it's too big for him to be sure — of soup, he unveils the last item he brought and watches, maybe a little too pleased, as she flushes even redder.
"I thought you were more of a horror film person," he teases, glancing over his shoulder at her as he fiddles with her VCR. "The Exorcist and all that. Not so much Jurassic Park."
Scully shrugs, embarrassed, and Mulder flashes her a smile so she knows he's just teasing, trying to keep her distracted from her stuffy nose and watery eyes. "Melissa made me go see it with her last year," she offers as an explanation. "Some things are just... fun, I guess."
Mulder is taken off guard by the way she shifts and leans against him when he sits down beside her. Scully has never seemed to be as tactile as he is; she's never rejected his touches, even when his heart gets the better of him and he's probably pushing his luck, but the only time she's openly sought him out was after Pfaster. Now, though, with the television playing and blanket tightly around her, she curls against him almost instinctively.
He can feel the warmth of her slight fever through the fabric of his shirt, can feel her gradually go more and more limp. She's going to fall asleep on him, to the sounds of rain and dinosaurs roaring, and maybe to the sound of his heartbeat, also. He wonders for one fanciful moment if she could hear the way he feels about her through a stethoscope.
Eventually, hesitantly, he slips his arm around her back and draws her closer, her hair frizzing out across his chest. "This okay?" He asks softly against the warm top of her head, and she nods, humming sleepily and sniffling. He thinks she mumbles something about Hollywood science making no sense, and Mulder smiles with his lips still against her hair. If he told her he loves her right now, she might be too out of it from sleep and cold medicine, too preoccupied with what little of the movie she's absorbing as she drifts to sleep, to remember it in the morning. His heart beats a little faster at the thought, and he only says it in his mind. For now, this is enough.
A Pirate Wife For Me Chapter Two
Yes, it is the long promised chapter two of Corso and Tama's arranged marriage AU. Many thanks to @actualanxiousswampwitch for being a fantastic Beta reader and helping me work out options for these two.
CORSO
“You damned lucky bastard!” Those were the first words that Corso heard as he approached the building selected for the wedding. There’d been some arguments about traditions, but eventually it was decided it was easier to have it on the ground then fly everyone out to the ships. Most of his family would be coming along later, but he was supposed to meet his father and brother here early to get ready. It seemed most of the pirates had decided to arrive early as well. The one who’d yelled at him was a rather cheerful tall well-muscled Twi’lek, but the way he moved told Corso that those muscles were more for show then for actual use. He stood with a group of about 5 other men about his same age, while clearly in their best, they were still grungy ship rats and most were scowling at Corso. He’d been careful not to cause more trouble with them the days before. They had enough trouble with one enemy, they couldn’t afford two. The grinning Twi’lek walked up to Corso as he approached the entrance to the warehouse and leaned on the side of the door frame. “That Tama is the one of the best lays I’ve ever had, that any of us have had. Do you know how much we would kill to be in your position?”
“I have killed to be in his position, didn’t get me anywhere” That comment came from one of scowling men. A human man maybe a year or two older than Corso, wiry and angry. As Corso turned his head, his scowl turned to a smirk and he walked a few steps closer, his voice changing to the stupid bragging tone that Corso had always hated. “Well, that’s not entirely true, it got me one night,” Corso narrowed his eyes slightly. He may not know which of the women in the photograph he’d spent 3 days staring at he was supposed to marry, but whichever one she was, she didn’t deserve to be spoken ill off on her wedding day. “Let me tell you, that girl is one hell of a firecracker, she does this thing with her tongue”
He’d heard enough. He’d never enjoyed that kind of talk from any of the local guys and the pirates were no different. He took a step forward himself, shoulders tensing, and his fist clenched. “That’s enough. Don’t speak about her that way, have some respect”
The pirate’s smirk dropped back into a scowl and the other 4 stood and started moving closer. Corso tensed, six on one with no weapons. Not good odds. He may have spent his time in the Peace Brigade, but that didn’t mean he was prepared for this fight, pirates fought dirty and in numbers. “Listen here, you nerfhearding bantha shit. Just because you’re getting yourself an in with the Commadore by fucking her daughter, doesn’t mean…”
Before Corso could hit the man and shut him up, large heavy hands landed on each shoulder. A tall Mirialan Man and what he’d guess was an adolescent Wookiee now stood on either side of him staring at the pirates in front of him. “Easy now boys, don’t kill the groom on the wedding day. Can’t have the princess left standing there alone.” The Mirialan man spoke cheerfully, but firmly. The men glared at him for a moment.
“Barrrraarragh” One of the men in the group rolled his eyes at the Wookiee’s statement. The rest just seemed bored. Corso himself was confused. Was he going to need to learn this language? He already had too many things on his mind to handle additional languages. The hands on his shoulders started to turn him towards the door. That was just one insult too many. He pulled away from both of them. “I don’t need someone to fight my battles for me. I can handle myself. And you” He looked over at the human who’d spoken to him earlier. “Speak of my future wife with a bit more respect or I’ll teach you some respect myself.” He didn’t wait around to deal with the idiots. He walked into the warehouse and went to find what family he could.
He was staring at the stupid picture hours later when his brother sat next to him in the little room that had been designated for him to get ready in. Right on site so he couldn’t get cold feet and run. He hadn’t been looking at it though, too preoccupied with the statements that had been made by the pirates earlier and the vague threat made days before by the pirate captains after the negotiations. “Which one is she?”
His brother’s voice jogged him out of his thoughts “hmm”
Tanver nudged him and pointed at the picture. The six girls on the bridge of an imperial ship. “No one bothered to tell me much of anything about this girl you’re supposed to be marrying. So, which one is she?”
Corso sighed and leaned his weight against his little brother slightly. “I don’t know, I’ve been told her name is Tama and she’s one of the women in this picture. But I wasn’t told which she was.”
Tanver studied the picture for a moment before tapping the woman with the blue skin “I think it’s her. She looks like a Tama.”
Corso laughed at that “What does a Tama even look like Tav? No, I’m thinking it’s her.” He pointed at the taller of the two Mirialans, standing near the center console in the shot. “Two of the three captains were Mirialan, the third was a species I’m not familiar with lots of thinner head tails, not Nautolan, different species. They referred to the Commodore as their sister and I’m supposed to be marrying the Commodore’s daughter, so playing the odds there.”
His brother looked for a moment before pointing at the other Mirialan “Why not go with her in that case?”
Corso shrugged, “I ran into her in town. She was wandering around alone. Seems like something you wouldn’t let a higher-ranking member of your pirate crew do. Especially when you’re marrying them off in a few days.”
“Might be right there.”
They were interrupted by the return of their father, bringing with him the jackets they’d forgotten in the speeder. His father had loaned him his best jacket for the occasion. It was a bit tight through the shoulders, but both his parents had assured him it was fine, his mother had insisted the fabric would stretch and not rip. His father had told him “If a man does it right, he marries once in his life. You ought to look respectable when doing so.” So, he’d accepted the loan, dug out his best pants, the only pair that wasn’t patched and his least stained shirt, a gift from his buddies in the Brigade when he’d left, and even retwisted his hair. He could do this much for his family, he was doing worse.
Tama
Tama ran through the halls of the warehouse looking for the room she was supposed to be in. She was late. They’d gotten more distracted then planned and left late and now she was late. Her mother was going to be furious. As she turned a corner, she could hear an aggressive, mocking voice yelling something, followed by a measured reply in a clear mantallian twang. She looked down the branching hall that led out to the main part of the warehouse to see some of the guys from her aunt's crew crowding Corso and what she guessed were his parents. The man and woman behind him looked similar but older. He had put himself in front of them. Gressik, a regretful one-night stand from a few years before and a rather terrible pirate, was in his face. He’d apparently gotten together a group of other men and judging by the impoverished weapons a few held, they were looking for a fight. THEY WERE MESSING WITH HER DAMN PLAN! She needed this guy alive for a few more days at least. She had to get her ship and show her family that they were “making it work” before she could let him die or really get hurt at all.
Past them at the far side of the hall, she could see one of her aunts going into another room. Likely the one she was supposed to be in. And straight ahead of her, her cousin Lucn and Orrishk her Wookiee protege/kid she’d rescued and now saw as her little brother. She waved them over. She looked at Lucn for a moment and gestured down the hall at the group. “What do you think of him?”
Lucn leaned back on his heels a bit as he studied his cousin’s future husband. Tall, well-built, muscular, but not sculpted. The kind of muscle that comes from hard work or frequent combat. The way he stood and the way he’d faced down Gressik told of experience in combat of some kind and the way he’d bristled up earlier as soon as the boys had started talking about Tama in less than respectful terms spoke of the same obnoxious ‘chivalry’ that they’d started to notice the men around here showed when the women were around. But Corso seemed to maintain it all the time. At least he wouldn’t have to worry about Tama getting killed by incompetence or publicly disrespected. That was two worries off his mind.
“Seems solid enough, might be too soft for our life and too tough to take that quietly. You’ll want a short leash for a few weeks.”
She nodded, “I’ll take it under advisement”, she shoved him gently and gave Orrishk a quick hug and swept forward, moving confidently across the floor. Putting assholes, this one in particular, in their place was a weekly event she was very familiar with. She smoothly moved between the two men, stopping the oncoming fight with a hand on Corso’s chest. She looked up at Gressik sternly, “What are you doing?”
“I was telling this scum…”
Tama pressed a single finger to his lips with a stern look. “Shh, no more talking from you. Do you know what today is? Today is a very important day for the fleet and if you screw it up, I’m fairly certain you’ll take point on every board of military ships for the next 6 months. Clear?
“Clear” He stomped off while his buddies slunk away, willing to get involved but not to get in trouble.
Tama turned to Corso, “sorry about him, you’ll have to deal with him eventually, but not today.” She moved one step back to give him some space and gestured behind her. “This here’s Lucn, the Wookiee is Orrishk, they’ll show you to wherever you want to go and make sure the guys don’t hassle you anymore today.” Lucn nodded and lifted a hand in greeting. Tama smiled and walked towards her aunt as Lucn started talking with Corso. No harm in letting him think her a little kind for a while.
She quickly reaches her aunt and rushes into the room with the rest of her family. They’re already crowded into the room, her mother frowns as she rushes in and simply points at the fresher where her soaps were already laid out with a clean towel. She almost makes a comment, but thinks better of it. She doesn’t want to disappoint The Commodore any more than she already is, and slinks silently into the fresher and the cool shower.
By the time that she’s done, her aunts and her mom seem to have mostly gotten over it and are laughing and having some light drinks from their stash. Word had gotten out that the marriage was going to protect the village and the whole community seemed to have poured out what they could spare to support Corso and possibly to help stay on the pirates’ good side. Between that and their ships and crew and money, the ceremony would be quite pretty, and an extravagant reception party afterwards was planned. The Commodore steps forwards and gives Tama a tight hug. “All grown up and getting married. I know you’re agreeing to this for the fleet, but I still hope that he’s a good fit for you.”
Her aunt Ilma smiles from her spot reclining on a nearby couch. “Well, if he can’t satisfy, then she just has to keep him around for a year and she can ditch him however she likes Don’t hesitate on that part kiddo. Don’t accept him slacking off. It’s part of the deal.”
Tama groans “I still can’t believe you all went along with that. It’s so old and weird. I can’t believe his parents went along either. Ya’ll just strange.”
Ilma got serious for a moment. “It’s important to ensure that the marriage is considered valid. Their council insisted on the clauses. It complies with some laws that they have in this specific village that they haven’t gotten rid of yet. And it makes sure he’s at least doing something other than taking up space and using already limited resources when we’re out on raids. Besides, his entire job is to keep you happy, you stay happy, his village stays safe.”
“I know it’s required with the laws and whatever from their perspective. It’s just weird and I don’t like it. At least they didn’t put in a time frame. I mean, he’s attractive enough. But I don’t like him.”
Ilma sighs herself. “We can walk away. It’s not like we can’t find what we need on another planet. Might be difficult to secure, but possible.”
Tama herself frowns right back, walking over to a small window and moving the blinds to look out. “No, it’s fine. We need this. I can handle it.”
The Commodore smiles, “I know. And while this isn’t the way I imagined this day when you were younger, I hope you’ll be happy. So… Let’s turn this conversation to happier things.” She puts a hand on Tama’s shoulder and turns her to face a small changing screen on which hangs a new outfit. “I had it commissioned just for you.”
Tama smiles and gives her mother a hug. “Thank you.” before walking over and investigating. The outfit is alright, fine soft fabrics, sturdy stitching and custom made. She steps behind the screen to change
The pants are a warm dark cream and fit like a glove. Two lavender stripes lay across one thigh and the cut highlights her shape. The lavender top matches the stripes on her pants and fits comfortably tight, the sleeveless style showing off her shoulders and arms and the cut displaying just enough cleavage to be suitably fancy for the event. A wide dark leather belt adds to the outfit, cutting off the dip from the shirt and emphasizing her waist. It even had a new set of nice knee-high boots in the same dark leather as her belt that would be perfect for nights out after this was all over and a removable heel. Tama leaves the heels on the small table as she changes and moves back to look in a mirror they’d brought in from one of the bigger towns for just this purpose. She looks at herself with a grin as she lets herself be shoved onto a stool and Niyu starts to tackle her hair, arranging it as nicely as she could with the short, shaggy style that Tama preferred. A few more minutes of talking, laughing and drinking as her cousins hear that she was there and trickle in. Eventually, though, it’s time to go. Tama rises with a sigh and rises “Let’s get this over with.”
As she turns to look at her family, she notices the mischievous smiles and considering frowns. “Not just yet.” Aunt Ilma replies as her Aunt Rikal crosses the room to stand next to her with a small number of purple flowers and starts to put them in her hair. Rikal was probably the biggest romantic of her aunts. The pink mikkian woman refused to allow the sharp edges of pirate life to dull her ability to find an idea of romance or a positive side to most situations. The flowers were an example, an import from Mirial and not common in this environment.
“Are these really necessary?” She pouts as the flowers soften her whole look. She hadn’t even had a chance to put on her blasters yet.
“Yes, they are. They’re traditional. Purple is a life color, good for weddings.”  Aunt Rikal carefully places and pins each flower. Creating almost a crown with flowers trailing across the front and back to frame her face. Ilma crosses the room and brings over the removable heels for her boots and a few small pieces of jewelry, a necklace and matching earrings for all three piercings in her right ear and both of the ones in her left, a pair of lacey gloves and even matching gems to turn the flowers into more of a crown style as they were twisted into her hair. Tama grumbles, but between her cousins and aunts, she is forced to the heels and jewelry. She does like shiny things, and all of the gems that had been placed on her, glittered in the light. With the way that she knew the rooms for the ceremony and party afterwards were decorated, they would be sparkling all night. Since her mother had invited as many of their contacts as could reveal themselves, there would be important connections there and looking wealthy and important couldn’t hurt. The only downside was that they wouldn’t allow her to wear her blasters or blades. They would be in the room of course, but not on her person and that makes her very uncomfortable.
The final touch was brought forward by her mother. A long cream and lavender jacket with a small adjustment belt already fastened at the back. “It’s fancy, but do I really have to wear it? You know I hate sleeves, it’s too restricting.” She full on pouts, which earns a smack from Niyu about wrinkling the stupid gloss that her cousin had bullied her into allowing to be put on, just for one day.
It took far longer to push her into the jacket then the heels. She had gotten used to the idea that they might make her wear heels, but sleeves, and sleeves that went all the way to her wrists! That was too mean for her to imagine.  The jacket looks nice when it’s finally on though. The belt secured behind her back and pulled the front of the jacket around her waist and lower back and making it sit, flaring out from near her hips, like a cape or a fancy flared skirt. It was the most expensive and fanciest look she’d ever worn, and she hated it. Why couldn’t she just get married in her normal clothes, it wasn’t like someone who spent their life shoveling bantha shit was going to know the difference. They’d already been taken away and passed to her aunt Zeva who was watching the crew while the rest of them got Tama ready.
As her family got the last of the jewelry settled and approved of the whole look, they finally let her out and together they headed to the larger rooms of the warehouse. The important people, the specially invited guests, family and good friends from both sides, were collected in the side room chosen for this purpose while everyone else was in the warehouse main floor for the party. Her aunts and cousins headed ahead to the room while she hung back with The Commodore. Her mother rested a hand on her shoulder to bring her to a stop while the rest walked on ahead. It wasn’t until they were alone that her mother spoke.
"I’m sorry that we had to ask you to do this. I always wanted you to have every bit of freedom that our lifestyle should allow.”
Tama frowns at her mother’s sad tone but gives her a hug. “It’s alright. You only asked, I have my own reasons for agreeing. I know how important it is for your plans and mine and the success and safety of the fleet. I’ll be fine. You know I can handle myself and I’ve never let anyone restrict me. I won’t start now.”
That made her smile and place a soft kiss on Tama’s forehead. “I’m proud of you, Tama. You are the best daughter a woman could ask for.” She brushes away a tear that had not fallen and straightened. They didn’t have too many moments like this. Being soft was a risk among pirates even towards one’s own family.
CORSO
Even minutes later, after the white-haired pirate had shown up, threatened the men causing his parents problems and disappeared, the place on his chest where she’d rested her hand still felt like it was burning. She was a strange woman, he’s not really sure what to make of her or any of these pirates really. He’s so far out of his depth that he’s pretty sure even his mother’s best advice wouldn’t help him swim, and he’d always thought her one of the wisest people in the galaxy. And now he’s standing at the front of the room, in front of his family and friends from the village, the council, and what seems to be sleezy politicians, businessmen and crimelords that he doesn’t know and had to have been invited by the pirates. Somehow, they were exactly what he’d thought pirates would be, and yet somehow also had the trappings of the more business minded nobility that he’d encountered when he’d been off being a mercenary. Did he have much room to judge after that? Yes, yes he did. He’d been part of a group that was fighting the empire and trying to help people. Getting paid for that was necessary to get what they needed to survive and stay away from home long enough to do some good. Pirating was just violent greed, pure and simple, nothing else to it.
His father’s steady presence next to him is reassuring. He’d spent the last few minutes with his mother and sister convincing them that the white-haired pirate who worried his mother with how easily she shut down the earlier group, was most likely not Tama. He’s pretty much convinced himself at this point. He could admit to himself that he found her interesting, in a strange way. But he doesn’t want to be stuck with her. She doesn’t seem the type he’d get along with even as friends.
He just had to get through the next few minutes and his family’s safety was secure. His parents could rest easy without worrying, his brother and sister could grow up without being subjected to the raids and possible death all the time. And Vesha, she could be safe and find someone who would make her happy. And he will have something resembling a future, something that a life fighting off seppies every night wouldn’t allow him to have. This is for the best, he reminds himself to battle the pre-wedding nerves. End of the day, he’d be a married man and on his way to life among the stars.
Movement near the door again drew his attention and everyone else's. One of the captains, Ilma if he remembers, had been waiting near the door and falls into step with the other two women who had just entered as they walked through the crowd of onlookers to the front of the room. The other older woman was Mirialan as well, tall, with broad-shoulders and a stern face. The way she carried herself spoke of years of telling people what to do and expecting immediate compliance. This had to be The Commodore that he had heard mentioned. And there, between the two, was the white-haired pirate, decked out in cream and purple and jewels. She looked…beautiful, powerful… he hadn’t thought… He’s no longer quite sure what he’d thought now that he’s facing this reality.
The three women move to the front of the room. The Commodore stepping past him to stand next to the Village’s administrator who oversaw all the weddings. Tama, as he now knew her specifically to be, took her place facing him. Her aunt standing next to her as his parents were for him. The whole situation, the necessity of it, the fear of being trapped on a ship, surrounded at all times by men who lived by killing everyone and everything they felt like. It’s too much, he’d been good at keeping that part of the reality from his mind so far, but it’s in his face now and Tama is there, it’s overwhelming. He feels almost like he’s floating, disconnected from himself, barely aware as he reaches out his own hands, Tama placing her smaller ones in his. The officiant speaks the traditional words of joining, Tama’s mother joining in with something in her native tongue. It all seems to be going by fast enough to leave him feeling off-balance and confused, but also crawling by so slow, he can’t help but feeling embarrassed. The pirate wraps their joined hands loosely in silk cords of purple and green and red as Tama slowly repeats the phrases. It takes a moment after she’s done for him to remember that it’s his turn. He stumbles once, but he gets through the phrases, completing his vows and the promise that he is certain that she will not be respecting, if he even survives the month. As their officiant declares them married, he leans forward to place a soft, polite kiss on her cheek as is traditional here. At the last moment though, Tama turns her head slightly, catching his lips and pushing forward into a deep kiss, leaving him flushed and flustered as they pull apart.
“Congratulations Corso, and welcome to the family.” The Commodore is grinning at him from her place. Kriff this situation is so awkward, and he can only hope it will feel less like walking into a shooting gallery eventually.
The short time between when the kiss breaks and when he finds himself at a long table pushing a fork at the pile of roasted roots on his plate, is a blur. He watches the crowd, a few were still at the tables eating or at the bar that was off to the side, but the main floor seemed to be divided. His village, his family were clustered together, dancing and celebrating. There was much to celebrate, he’d been careful that even his parents didn’t know how nervous he had been, how nervous he still was. Better they didn’t know, and he feels more certain of that as he watches them dance and sing and enjoy the night.
The majority of the pirates had come by to say congratulations to them. That had been an experience, standing at Tama’s side, torn between looking at her and watching the pirates in the line offering their congratulations and either dirty or snide commentary before most of them grabbed a drink and headed back to their ships for their own celebrations. A large number still remained though, along with the other guests they had invited. Tama moves among them, often returning to her mother’s side before going out to greet yet another individual. Her cream and purple standing out from all the darker, dingy, colors of the crowd. Right now, she was speaking with a plump man in his forties maybe who was wearing far too much fancy stuff, to be anything less than a braggart of a politician or wealthy businessman without ethics. Tama notices him watching her and turns her head enough to look at him before she smiles, winks and returns to the conversation.
Corso grabs the whiskey glass he’d gotten earlier in the night and drains it in one smooth motion. A serving droid thankfully refills it as soon as he places the glass down. He’s not sure what to make of this, or what he is supposed to do when it’s time to retire for the night. He’d heard Captain Ilma’s threats loud and clear, but that had never been the type of man he was. He never felt comfortable with just sleeping with any woman, even during his mercenary days. He prefers at least a bit of a connection, and he doesn’t know Tama, not really. He’s had a few drinks already as he tries to slow things down from the blur that they have been. Eventually Tama waves him over and he ends up spending some more time listening and smiling while Tama talks in coded language to her guests. Probably making deals or planning who they’re killing next, but he’s too light-headed by this point to pay attention. He’ll do his job, that much he’s sure of, everything else feels like he’s stepping off a cliff without knowing how far he’ll fall.
He watches her though, as concerned as he has been, he watches. How her hair bounces, how her eyes dance when she talks to someone she actually seems to like, the glint that she gets sometimes. The way that the cream of her jacket contrasts against the green of her skin. It’s enchanting and he can’t seem to find the will to step away and return to the table to await his fate. He simply walks and listens and drinks the glasses that are kept cold and filled. As the alcohol does its job, he relaxes some and notices smaller things. Like how a few of the people make Tama’s shoulders tense slightly and one of them makes her tighten her hold on his arm and turn into his larger size just slightly, not enough to notice if you weren’t right next to her. He can’t tell if it’s because she’s scared or doesn’t like the person or something else, he’s too fuzzy but it’s…nice.
Eventually, though, the night gets late, and people start to leave. His family leaves earlier than some, they have to travel back to the farm before it gets too late. He has to wipe away a tear or two as he walks them to their speeder and says his goodbyes. His mother holds him tightly and he can feel her worry. “I’ll be ok mama. I promise. I met Tama twice now. I can handle her.” He is lying, he has no clue if he can or not, but he can’t stand to see his mother upset. She kisses his cheek before climbing in next to his father and they head out.
He takes a breath of the cool mantellian air, reveling in the slight nip to the air across his flushed skin. He doesn’t go back to Tama’s side, instead leaning against one of the pillars scattered across the room as he waits for the party to die down. The blur of the day really hasn’t gone away. He’s starting to feel tired and turning over the expectations that the pirates have of him tonight in his head as Tama walks up to him and slips her arm through his again. “I’m past ready to head back, the party is getting dull.”
He straightens as best he can and nods. “Seems like most everyone is either passed out or close to it anyways.”
Tama smiles at him, the second one he’s gotten today. It’s a pretty smile, his drunk brain supplies. “Well then husband, let’s head out. Got a pilot for the shuttle already on standby.”
He nods again and pats the hand that is holding his arm as he starts walking with her out the door. The air around them filling with jeers and catcalls and cheers from the drunken crowd as the newlyweds make their way out of the warehouse, into the shuttle and up to the ship. It’s not as long a flight as Corso had hoped. But with some luck they would go somewhere soon.
TAMA
Tama guides Corso through the mess of halls and rooms of the ship until they reach her private quarters. By the time they get there though, Corso is leaning heavily on her. She’d seen him throwing back numerous glasses of whiskey, but admittedly hadn’t kept track, she was fairly sure it was a large number judging by the way he was fighting himself to stay upright. She doesn’t expect much as they make it into her quarters, and she steps away with a squeeze to his arm and starts to slowly take her hair down. She doesn’t want to damage anything or pull her hair. She can hear Corso move around the room, taking in everything. “You already brought them up?”
She glances at him in the mirror, he’s standing by the pile of boxes and… blaster safes? That had been piled up in a corner to be sorted into where they were storing them. It seems like all his stuff. “It should be everything. Orrishk was responsible for picking up your things and making sure they were here. If you’re missing something, we can get it picked up before we head out.”
Corso’s voice is slurred slightly and his accent stronger as he runs his hands over each of the safes, carefully checking the seals. “I’ll go through them in the morning. Gotta make sure they’re secured anyways.”
Tama hums, the way he looks at the boxes, he’s clearly spent a lot of time on what she can only assume is a hobby. “So, what exactly is all that? Looks like blasters from here.”
Corso chuckles low as he stumbles to the bed and sits down to remove his boots. “Antiques mostly. A few newer pieces that are particularly nice. I like to restore them. Make them work like new again. Got some rare ones.”
“Really, I’d like to see sometime. Blasters are kind of essential in my life, so I like to think I know a little.”
A soft snore is the only answer she receives. She places the last of her jewels in the small box and turns around to see Corso lying on the bed, having fallen sideways when he passed out. She rolls her eyes at that. She had expected him to at least try to make a move, if only because of the threat her aunt had told her about and the terms of their contract. She’d seen nervousness in his eyes when she’d led him into the room. But maybe this was for the best. With an annoyed sigh she steps over to the bed and shoves him further up so he wouldn’t fall off. She’s stuck with him for now, so she should make sure he’s ok until she can get rid of him and decide how she’s going to do that. She undoes his belt and pulls it off, a small part of her wishing she was taking it off for a different reason. She drops the belt next to the bed before trying to wrestle him out of the jacket that looks just a bit too small she mostly gets it off, but she can’t lift him enough to pull it off the arm under him, so she leaves it and focuses on tugging off his boots and placing them next to the belt before she leaves him be and goes back to removing all of her own finery and slipping into a comfortable pair of shorts and a tanktop.
CORSO
Corso wakes when he hears the crash, too many night raids to sleep easy. It takes him a few seconds to remember where he is and another to look for the source of the sound. The very dim lighting in the room illuminating Tama sitting on the floor staring ahead and blinking. It takes him a moment to figure out. The small blanket still hanging from the couch, Tama in what he really hopes are sleeping clothes, he doesn’t want to see the reactions from the men who confronted him earlier if she wore those shorts and that shirt around them. “Did… did you fall off the couch?” His brain is still fuzzy, why was Tama on the floor or the couch? She’s his lady, she should be in the bed where she can sleep well, if either of them is on the couch it should be him. His head is still fuzzy and slow though and he’s so tired. It has to have been the whiskey, he should not have drunk so much.
Tama looks up at him as he speaks, if he didn’t know better, he’d have sworn she was blushing. “No, of course not. I am perfectly capable of ending up on the floor intentionally.”
Corso laughs and struggles to try and sit up, it’s only when his arm gives out on him that he notices his jacket is only on one shoulder, and he’s missing his belt and boots. His sleepy brain slowly processes the boots next to the bed. For some reason, this pirate he’s stuck with, who makes his head spin, had taken his passing out in stride and made sure he was comfortable and then went to sleep on the couch. He couldn’t let that stand. “You shouldn’t be sleeping on the couch. You take the bed.”
“No, you’re too tall for the couch, you’ll fit better in the bed. I’m fine.”
Corso rubs his aching head, he’s too tired. “It’s not right for you to sleep on the couch instead of your own bed. You’re taking the bed. It’s too late to argue about it.”
The light barely lights up the glint in her eyes that he’d noticed earlier and before he can move off the bed, Tama has pushed herself to her feet and flops onto the far side of the bed. “I’m not dealing with your backache from sleeping on the couch. I’m not arguing about this stupid topic after that party. Go to sleep.” She slips under the blanket and gives a small wiggle as she settles in.
Corso freezes up for a moment before forcing himself to breathe. This isn’t just some random woman. This is his wife, sharing a bed is expected, he’s not doing anything improper.
He slowly, careful not to move his poor head too much, slides under the blanket himself and tries to go back to sleep. It’s hard since he’s trying so hard to stay very still and not disturb Tama in any way, but eventually sleep claims them both.
