Use this skill when you are overwhelmed by intense emotions or are feeling the urge to self-injure.
*If you’re in crisis and are having suicidal thoughts please call a Crisis Hotline! (Call 988 in the US)
T - Temperature: To relax fast or distract your mind with sensation, hold an ice pack to your cheeks or eyes or dunk your face in a bowl of ice water for at least 30 seconds to activate your Diver Reflex*.
*If you have high blood pressure, talk to your doctor before trying.
I - Intense Exercise: Doing a few minutes of vigorous exercise will release Endorphins. Try a few minutes of Jumping Jacks or running in place (or around the block). Play your favorite fast paced song and dance it out.
P - Paced Breathing: Breathe deeply into your belly, expanding your lungs as much as you can. Pace your inhales and exhales to 5-6 per minute. Then make your exhales longer than your inhales (5 seconds in, 7 seconds out).
*Try a 60 bpm Metronome track from your music streaming app or YouTube for pacing.
P - Paired Muscle Relaxation: Breathing deeply, tense your muscles (not so much that you cramp up) section by section, move your focus from your feet up your body. Tense up with every inhale, relaxing and melting with every exhale.

"The way we experience the world, some people talk about it as like, the bottom up versus top down, if you know what I mean when I say that. So for neurodivergent people to understand the bigger picture, we need to understand how all the tiny details kind of fit together, and then we get it.
But a neurotypical person, typically has that top-down, so they already... their brains have already filtered out when they think is important, and then they drill down to like, the essence of it. And essentially that's what you're doing in your therapy, the therapist is trying to help you get to like, the crumbs, to really try and understand that detail. But our brains are already working like that. So quite often we end up being in therapy, we might have therapists say: oh you're very self-aware...
But the reality is that we're going to therapy because we're overwhelmed. There's just too much information, and we're trying to simplify and make sense of something. Whereas traditional therapy does it completely the opposite way. Which can actually lead us to, like, ruminations, feeling stuck on that kind of loop of just getting nowhere and not feeling any better."

today on "it's cheaper than therapy:" here's a great way to decompress when you're upset about something.
1. download this image:

2. When your mind feels heavy, open the image in an add-text-to-photo app and write out your thoughts and feeling and everything clouding your mind, then overlay it on the dark clouded portion of the image- in black text, so it's written, it's not deleted, but it's also not legible, so you aren't dwelling on it.
3. Insert something that makes you happy in the doorway on the bottom half, and put the name of said thing in between "omg" and "hi"
4. save meme and feel less sad!

i think thats both il and dan heng depicted here, showing that despite the changes both he and blade have undergone, blade still associates the two as one even if dan heng is technically not the same as imbibitor lunae ;w;;
and their images overlap in his view much like when we see pre-struck blade in the pv reminiscing il, which then transitions into current blade staring at a figment of dan heng running him through with his spear like mentioned in the nameless honor light cone "nowhere to run"......

I feel like Characters with Disabilities need to be represented more so yeah here is Lemuen.

She is an NPC in Arknights, she is a Auxiliary Cardinal of the Laterano City, she's one of my favourite Characters in Arknights.She got into an Accident, which I will not spoil whoever wants to read about the Events she is in, she got into a Hospital and did therapy to walk again.
But even then she still uses the Wheelchair because it's even painful to Walk which I find is very Realistic to people who go to Therapy to learn to Walk again.
