complete domination. there is no sign of them in there anymore. you have no hope of getting anything out of them as they remain dead silent the entire time you fight them. even if they normally are rather stoic, the dead eyes expression they're wearing looks so alien on them that it has you shivering. it makes the way they break down once they're free all the more heartbreaking

puppet master situation. you can see every painstaking emotion on their face as they viciously attack you. the tears streaming down their cheeks make your reluctance to try and fight back almost override all your other plans, but when they start begging you to leave them as if they were at all disposable, it reinvigorates your need to save them and bring them home where the person who started this can never touch them again

The fact that Luz gets her mandatory Big Protagonist Power-up from shaking hands with a demon-looking creature and that instead of the classic angelic/luminous power-up she gets the feral brand is so appropriate, it might be my favorite thing in the whole show.

It also feels like such a middle finger to all the satanic panic assholes, the witch makes a deal with the devil to beat the puritan's ass LMAO.
