Something I adore about this saga is how the songs all end with such powerful and forceful singing. It almost feels like Odysseus is trying to drown out the screams he hears by being louder with his own pain and convictions

Out of curiosity, do you think your Gemini fan kids could exist in the shows canon universe? Marsh and Lake are seriously so adorable I’ve low key accepted as Donnie’s kids in the shows future canon. Also how does the krang apocalypse play out in the Gemini AU? Is it prevented or is there maybe Gemini bad timeline?

Gosh, I dunno-- I guess I don't see why not! :3c I hadn't ever thought about it too much, but there really isn't a ton of reason that they couldn't, assuming Donnie and Sorrel still meet!

Also, there are Kraang in the Gemiverse! I haven't exactly sorted out all the details yet, but what I do know is that there's no good future/bad future... there's just one timeline! The Kraang do invade and Gems and Co. do kick it in the Apocalyptic Warzone for a while... but the whole fam survives and they do eventually win the war!!! (because anything else made me too sad ; w ; and I realized at some point that it's my au so i can just do whatever I want :D yay)

No but why is this silly show so much FUN and why am I several years late to it!!!

I love lying characters who tell the truth but only to a certain degree, so I am absolutely YELLING about Sauron flat-out TELLING Galadriel about the blood-oath to Morgoth and "I am not the hero you seek"

I especially find it really fun how you've got the little sleight of hand trick setting up Sauron behind Halbrand - the so-called kingship of the Southlands, the mystery of a crest that marks the way, the whole forge thing!! Gosh, it would have been sooooo much to go into this blind about the reveal BUT this is also really FUN.

(I've only ever read one of the LOTR books, but had a lovely time with the movies, so I am not the best at discerning whether this is a ~good~ adaption, but hooo boy am I having a lot of fun with it!!!)

#my back hourts ough. and i totally froze my ass of standing in that queue in the rain for 2 and a half hours #but well it was worth it for the spot right by the stage!!!!!!#and oh my gosh. oh mmy god. this was so!!!!!!!#well first of all it was so damn fun i was bouncing and singing along the whole time #and there were so many great moments even besides the fact that the setlist was AHHHFHG SO FUCKING GOOD?????#and it actually got even more crazy during the second sent it was all just one 'no way' moment after another #and my pal got the setlist i'm so happy for them..... but uyeah i have so much to talk about #i'm totally making that proper concert review later and going into detail on all the stuff #and i actually got many more videos than i planned because as i said there were so many 'NO WAY i gotta record this' moments #like i actually don't know if i should just put them on youtube and link them here or what #because i have the entirety of spy recorded among other things #well first i'll need to make sure that the videos came out ok but i probably shouldn't have to worry about that much #thankfully my brother's phone is pretty well suited for this kind of stuff unlike mine #anyway will get into all that later like later next week even maybe so when i'm back home #in the meantime i'll have to reflect on all this anazingness. oh my god this was so awesome.#as my pal said it's so easy to undestand now why there are people who go to hunderds of their concerts and never get bored of it all #so worth the wait i love you tmbg i had so much fun aaaaahhhhh ok going to bed now i'm so tired but very happy #goosepost

OH the intrigue!!#i was so curious as to how it would all pan out; & that’s not all - i felt butterflies in my stomach (FIRST TIME that’s ever happened :D)#also i was laughing while i was crying but most importantly- the paaaaaaaaain. sharp enough to pierce my heart #id in alt text

I am so indebted to Mr. MacKay for making the framing device of his comics just straight up therapy sessions #it’s such a great way to easily have characters get to the root of what they’re really thinking/feeling #and I love having that opportunity with a typically very reserved character as Dr. Badr #and it offers such great food for thought #since Marc’s character is unfortunately my specialty I am fascinated by the comparisons that can be drawn here #or rather the contrasts #since so much of Marc’s life (for better or worse) involved pushing back against every sort of authority possible #(his father/religion/the Marine Corps/Khonshu)#or at least that was a prominent characteristic of his in earlier MK comics #meanwhile Dr. Badr is all-in and I find the depth of that loyalty fascinating #that it can be as equally healthy or destructive as consistently questioning authority can be #and his utter acceptance (and willingness even) that nothing but madness and eventual death awaits him #what can I say I’m greatly intrigued by characters with convictions strong enough to die for #(and there’s that last panel which on re-reading is rather cheeky foreshadowing for such fantastic imagery oh my gosh)

Wips, cover and character arts for a story a friend @freelance7 wrote for me as a gift^^ It was great to revisit the main trio and think about how their cultures and personalities show in their clothing. The blue cat character is mine, the other two belong to two other friends. Not sure what I want the result of these arts to be yet, but it could be both a comic or series of illustrations. this time last year i was probably sitting in the kitchen while my dad started making an early dinner of chicken bolognese trying not to get too nervous about the concert i'd be going to in a few hours

#the nyc concert was last year. LAST YEAR .#thats so insane like yeah that feels like a year ago but good god the insane amount of stuff that has happened since #but god i remember that day so well #it was cloudy and a little rainy in the morning which made me ough thinking it was a bad omen and wouldnt be as fun #and i remember going to library and printing out my silly letters (i should have just. not done that lol)#and on the DAY OF on the way back home from the library #i even bought a cropped black blazer specifically for my concert outfit. havent worn it since lmao #and my dad and i even watched a movie at lunch #a short movie but a movie nonetheless. lol and even then i was like oghh my gosh excitement and nervousness #and then the car service getting there i felt so fancy and as the drive started the clouds were magically dissipating #so that it was a nice clear evening when i got to the theatre #and then all the insanity of the show. god i cant believe it still after all this time. wowie #going to listen to a playlist of the show setlist im gonna get emotional now. guys........#one of my fave memories is how everyone started standing up as they went into so may we start so i was like ok are we all doing this #and stood up too and then stood for the entire rest of the concert. i think the first 3-5 rows were like that for the whole show #surreal and insane i was front row. those guys were REAL and CLOSE #i was also very excited to notice russells new shoes :) when i wasnt like awooga (how i was 99% of the time)#there was one so may we start jump that was well. yeah. front row baby #i think after latte i was like ok i cant film i gotta just vibe #religious experience doing the 'ah ah ah's during that. really interesting #ok im not gonna go through the whole show again but wowie one of my most insane nights. second only to hollywood bowl #wow what a fun year it was. just so many incredible moments #ok yay 💖 happy one year to all that. love those guys so much #spars #ok not actually done beaver o lindy was INSANE LIVE!!! AS WAS EVERYTHING ELSE. so fun ok now done for real
