I absolute adore how Kathryn Hahn is using her current visibility and platform to highlight how Agatha All Along—a rare instance of a Marvel show getting award nominations—is a female-led and queer show.
"I never would have thought that [Kevin] Feige and Marvel would have had it back — this strictly female-led, gay/queer show about witches. No huge, big baddie that comes in. It just felt very different. Even “WandaVision,” we always felt a little bit like a splinter off the Marvel universe — like an experimental stepsister — so to have this acknowledgment is so buoying for what good storytelling means and what it is."

Btw it did beat Frozen 2 don't believe anything Disney is saying about Inside Out 2 being the highest grossing animated film of all time. That honor still belongs to The Lion King (2019). Disney just doesn't like to acknowledge it

Whoaaaa Challengers for Score!!! Who are these people and what have they done with the Globes???
#I mean GREAT but I guess I was thinking of the Academy (which I really do not see as hip enough to give it to challengers)#but yeah I guess the Globes are different#(for those unaware -- the Oscars nominations are voted on by specific branches in the industry#the directors' branch votes for the director nominees#the actors' branch votes for the acting nominees#the cinematography branch does the cinematograpy noms and so on and so forth#and everyone can vote on the nominations for Best Picture#but once all the noms are in then everyone can vote in all categories#which is why you get some out there nominations in the tech categories that most people have not seen#but the people who are in the industry in fields like editing or sound design or cinematography have#but the actors' branch is the largest branch in the Academy and they vote differently#The Golden Globes are a critics/journalist awards base not an industry one but apparently they have REALLY shaken it up#also different branches in the Academy have different rules#The director's branch for example only gives voting privileges to people who have had at least one movie in the past decade to keep it more#current. The score branch is EXTREMELY old-fashioned. Which is why I don't think the Oscars are cool enough to recognize Challengers in#score bc they rarely nominate electronic scores#see them nominating Indiana Jones of all things last year#but then again everything is apparently chaos I just don't see the GG as being predictive this year#the way they more or less were last year)#lior liveblogs awards season

new emma d’arcy interview out today and it made me think two things
1- theyre so well articulated and such a crime they arent interviewed more, their insights abt being an actor as a gnc person and how their identity affect their work was rly good. Their answers abt hotd and the talent and their theatre experience from being a kid till now was such a lovely insight to them and how they work as an actor.
2- the guy interviewing them has got to be a big industry joke, like genuinely think jimmy fallon type of ridiculous, and ive looked into it more and hes a “comedian” which i honestly think is so disgraceful to journalism. Because at least if youre bringing a useless guy to take my job make sure he can crack a fucking joke at least. he kept doing that thing where theyre talking about an experience and he try to make it a joke scenario, idk how to explain but such a tough 55 min watch but it was worth it to see more of emma.
