hurt people hurt people so give me everything you've got
“Hiya Fordsy!” Bill smiled.
“Bill, what on earth are you-“
“Well, I didn’t want to spoil your surprise, but come in, come in, take a seat!” the triangle bubbled, pulling Ford to the chair. Bill gestured to the array of tools on the table proudly. “You know how things between us have been weird since-”
“-you lied to me, trapped me between worlds, tried to kill my family and destroy my dimension?” Ford interrupted.
Bill’s bright yellow glow flickered and dimmed before the showman rebounded. “…Nail on the head, Sixer! Haha, speaking of…” he said, picking up a hammer- comically oversized in Bill’s tiny fingers- from the table and pressed it gently into Ford’s hand.
“What.” Blood rushed in his ears. Bill was talking, of course he was still talking he never shut up, but he couldn’t hear it properly…
“-and, OK, it’s summer, but you can lock me in the freezer! I already checked I can fit the big chest AND the kitchen one if I scrunch up, dealer’s choice, buddy! And the tattoos ARE tricky but I found a chisel and a mini iron and a dremel in Shooting Star’s craft bag, so we can give it a shot, and I got the car battery and jumper cables ready too, so-”
“…Huh?” Ford said, tearing his eyes away from the hammer and focusing on the triangle again.
“So we’ll be even!” Bill said, clearly repeating himself, playing with a nail. “I figured we’d start with a classic and work our way down the list! Or, or we could jump around, or double up, it’s up to you really-“
Bill was nervous, Ford realized dimly, staring at him. He set the hammer down, pinching between his eyes tiredly. “Bill…”
“OH, I get it now, of course, so dumb of me!” Bill laughed, a little too loud, tapping the side of his own head with the hammer. “You want ME to do it!”
Ford blinked.
Bill smiled.
“What-“ Things were moving syrupy slow. “Bill, that’s not what I-”
WHAM
A shaken, pained gasp.
“I… ok, yeah, maybe didn’t think this through,” the triangle wheezed, fingers twitching. Bill hadn’t picked a nail the same proportion to his hand as Ford’s had been. No, he’d picked the same size. Possibly the same nail-
And he’d nailed it too hard, right into the wood of the table.
“Ha, a- a little help, Sixer?” Bill said, smile twitching on his strained face. “S-should’ve put a book down or something…”
The silver blood welling up finally snapped Ford to action. “Bill, of all the stupid, idiotic, moronic- what were you THINKING-“
“T-that’s one way to get you hold hands again?”
“Try again!” Ford snapped.
Bill was quiet for a long moment.
“I… I thought you’d like this. I really… isn’t this what you want?” the triangle asked pleadingly.
Revenge.
Pain.
Tit for tat.
Bill’s blood on his hands had been what he’d dreamed about for thirty years, and now it was happening, here, in his home, offered up freely. “… No,” Ford said, softly. “It’s… it’s really not.”

bestie I am begging you I'm lit obsessed w your Solavellan stuffs I hope you keep writing abt them after all that.......... happened in Veilguard...... and I ALSO wanna kno what you think of it once you finished 🤭🫣😭👁️👁️
I’ve already got one post-Veilguard fic up and am working on another! I’ll put my thoughts under a cut for the sake of people who haven’t finished yet.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In general, I loved the game. It had its issues - I think the lack of world state customization hurt the narrative, leaving it feeling disconnected from the other games.
I didn’t feel as strongly about the companions as I have in the previous games - but I’ve also only played once, and I finished the game over six days. I’ve just started a second run and I’ll be playing over a much longer period of time so I’m hoping that will change.
Bellara and Davrin were my favourites, though and I romanced Davrin, and thought it was lovely. 💜 I’d been so lukewarm on Bellara in Vows & Vengeance so I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved her. Emmrich was also lovely, but I didn’t connect with his storyline, truth be told.
Having developed my Rook, Melody, so much beforehand was helpful from a role playing perspective, especially since I was disappointed in the lack of Lords of Fortune lore. Her backstory has changed a bit to correspond with canon reveals about the LOF origin, and I’d like to write about the early years of her life, and meeting her mentor/adoptive father, Marcel.
Now, on to my Solavellan thoughts! 😂 I was happy with the ending. Thrilled, honestly, because I’d predicted long ago that the happiest ending they’d ever have would have Iris leaving to live with Solas in the Fade. I adored the Loki/Sigyn allusions to their ending.
That being said, I think they could have stood to let their reunion breathe a bit. I didn’t like that Solas refused Lavellan when she asked him to stop - I think it would have felt better if he’d been waffling, and not get answered when Morrigan intervened and brought Mythal to speak to him. Initially I’d been pretty pissed that it was Mythal and not Rook or Lavellan who talked him down, but after a few days of reflection, I’m more OK with it. He needed to be freed from his self-imposed bonds in order to be able to move forward and start the work to accept what he’s done cannot be undone without causing mass carnage.
That he ended the game as the veilguard (willing or unwilling) felt right - he needs to atone for all he’s done and his vow to protect the world with every breath he takes was moving and satisfying.
The kiss was fine - he’d gotten chewed up by an archdemon and was in rough shape so, much as I’d have loved a bit of tongue in there, my assumption is Lavellan was being careful not to hurt him. 😂 I wish we’d gotten more of his expressions - the fly cam shots floating around are beautiful and I’d have loved to see him smile as he gazes at his love in-game, rather than via fly cam.
Long story short, while the journey wasn’t perfect, the destination was, and I’ve got a whole list of fanfic ideas to tackle - both featuring Iris and Solas, as well as Melody and Davrin. Right now I’m working on a fic set immediately after Solas and Iris arrive at the prison. It’s heavy on the hurt/comfort on account of Solas taking a legendary ass-kicking, but I’d also like to explore Iris’ own regret, given the nature of the space they’re living in, as well as her efforts to alter the space to make it a home and not a prison. It’ll be a slow effort, but you can see the end result of that work in the fic I linked above, which is set three years after the end of Veilguard.

This blog will be set around 3 years post-show, Mabel and Dipper are set to turn 16 this August 31st, and the year is 2015. Stan and Ford are visiting along with the twins to see Gravity Falls again and celebrate with old friends.
Various characters are available to ask and answer! The main cast will of course be Dipper, Mabel, Stan and Ford but also expect to see others like Soos & Melody, Pacifica, McGucket, Wendy, Grenda & Candy, and many more!
I'll do my best to answer all asks but some that are doubled up may be stepped over to avoid repeat questions and answers. There's also some rules I'd like people to keep in mind!
This is Blog is a LGBTQ and Neurodivergent friendly and run space! There will be headcanons to this effect and asks are allowed to highlight them! Please be respectful and understand this is not an actual, Canon blog. Opinions may differ and you are free to not engage if it's not your thing!
Be respectful in general really, swearing and pg13 and even more mature asks in line with new content like Book of Bill are allowed but try to keep it from being overly explicit, swearing and certain jokes are okay but bigotry, slur usage aren't allowed.
Some things may have trigger tags, and upsetting content may come up. I will do my best to treat it with care but if you want any specific things tagged that I miss or haven't considered please let me know and I'll tag the future and past content that requires it!
Some ships may come up, again, keeping in mind this is not a Canon run blog. They will all have their own tag as well as a general shipping tag so it can be avoided / blacklisted with ease! Though I ask in general: all ships pertaining to inc*st or minor/adult pairings are not brought up here, thank you!
That's all for now! I hope you guys can have fun and enjoy this space with me!

Thoughts on the TBOC teaser + sneak peek
Tumblr media
There is a ton of fandom discourse on this, and I appreciate you all for taking the time to share your thoughts and perspectives. I discussed a bit of this in episode #26 of our podcast, but I wanted to expand on my perspective here in a nuanced way. If you choose to read this, know that I will be very candid in this post. If your mental health needs a respite from heavy discourse, please take care of your mental health first.
It's absolutely wonderful to have Carol back. The sneak peek was exactly what I expected. It built intrigue from Daryl's POV, expanded on Carol's headspace, and set the stage. But I wish I could be excited about the teaser.
Carol's POV was beautifully nuanced and as angsty as I wanted it to be, but there was a disconnect with Daryl's POV. Although you hear the frustration in his voice, it doesn't sit well with me that a show called The Book of Carol starts with the voiceover + a shot of another character positioned with Daryl in soft lighting gazing at sunset with the juxtaposition of Carol's raw loneliness as she desperately tries to get to him.
Carol's desperation is explicit, clear, and heartbreaking, but there is an imbalance because Daryl's POV needs to convey the same level of need to "find home." Obviously, we don't have enough promo material to define that clearly yet, which is why I'm hoping that people speaking up about their true feelings will help the marketing team position future promo in a way that elicits more overwhelmingly positive reactions from their audience.
I want to make it explicitly clear that my issue here is not with Daryl's character. I'm noticing discourse around how harshly he is judged sometimes, and I agree. My issue is with the way the teaser was spliced together and marketed. My concern for the season is because his character has historically been used to incite fandom wars through shipbaiting in an attempt to please all audiences. Which never worked, festered misogyny and fandom infighting, produced mixed reactions and resulted in Daryl's character paying the price for it.
At the root of it is ambiguity. Their audience was unequivocally united when the first teaser featured the following tagline. There's a reason for it.
To find home is to find each other
It's at the core of Carol and Daryl's relationship. That is the foundation of this show, the connective tissue that the majority of their fans instantly resonated with. It's the key.
I understand that they're at the start of their promo campaign and will continue to map the viewer's journey. Promo content from now on should ideally build hype, give narrative cues/hooks, and build audience awareness and understanding to set expectations for The Book of Carol. So, we may not see this tagline written out on every teaser, but it should still reflect in the content seen on the screen so the viewers make the connection.
In the current teaser, it shows up very sharply for Carol, but with Daryl, that messaging is muddled. This is why it's not resonating with some fans — everyone is interpreting it through their own unique lens.
TWDCaryl
It's nice to see the official accounts use this tag and pro-Caryl copy to promote the show; it's a huge step forward. But again, the feelings need to be reflected in what we see on the screen. If it's generating mixed reactions — the promo content isn't hitting the mark, and in this case, it's too ambiguous.
Any marketing team worth its salt won't give you any inclination of canon, reunion, or interactions between Daryl and Carol during the promo campaign — at least not this early in the campaign. They would want to save your excitement for when those scenes show up on screen.
But I hope the promo that comes out after this gives me more snippets of Daryl's desperation to find his way back. People invest in your brand if they believe they can trust you. Trust is earned. Many people have valid trust issues after the last few years. And this is the way they can build trust with people who have felt betrayed in the past and left the fandom.
The Daryl I know, love and trust
I fell in love with Daryl first. He's one of the strongest characters on the show, not only because of what he endured but also because of his determination to nurture and protect the people he loves. Most of all, because I resonated with his unwavering loyalty to Carol and their family.
The Daryl I know struggles to understand his worth and retreats into the darkness when he is isolated. His demons find him there. Carol is the only one who can pull him out of the darkness, just like Daryl is the only one who can pull her out of hers. They're each other's guiding light. The Daryl I know and love doesn't need to choose. There is no choice. His loyalty to Carol and their family is his first priority. Always.
The articles published by big media outlets surrounding the spinoff often suggest that Daryl is "conflicted". These articles started sprouting after the showrunner's interview, which added more ambiguity to the mix. Every writer added their own understanding of the ambiguity and wrote the articles accordingly, which muddled the messaging even further.
Whether people like it or not, these articles build awareness and set the stage for the show. They're an essential form of digital marketing, offering content that audiences can consume to understand the show. So if they're missing the mark, people consuming these articles will rightfully feel confused about what the season will bring.
A showrunner who gets them
I trust Daryl completely. I know where his heart lies, what his motivations are, and how desperately he wants to get back to Carol and their family. But I don't trust the showrunner who is writing him, and I don't think his motivations align with Daryl's.
Clémence is a talented actress. Her character had the potential to be a strong ally to Daryl and Carol. But her character was twisted to suit the narrative, which included a heavy helping of unnecessary shipbaiting. I'm tired of that.
Melissa's EP status gives me hope for Carol's story, but she's not the showrunner. Norman and Melissa's acting, chemistry, and understanding of their characters and relationship can only do so much.
I really hope they pick a pro-Caryl showrunner who can do justice to Daryl and Carol's story going forward and fill it with the love, vulnerability, gentleness, and deep richness it deserves. I'd personally like to see a progressive female showrunner who isn't afraid to support Caryl and write nuanced female characters who can hold their own regardless of the circumstances.
My hopes and fears for Caryl's future
I love Daryl to pieces, but I'll be honest and say I love Carol more. If you've ever listened to the podcast, that is clear. I'm so happy to have Melissa back. I cannot wait to see Norman and Melissa act together. But, to me, this season is make-or-break. It's a chance for the network to show their audience they're listening and ready to deliver satisfying, undeniable canon for Caryl.
I don't know if your thoughts align with what I said, but I think most of us can agree that we're absolutely tired of shipbaiting, ambiguity, and seasons that promise but don't deliver explicit moments between Caryl.
I hope to god this season proves me wrong. I hope they hear the thoughts that Carylers are bravely sharing here and adjust course accordingly, not only in the promo circuit but beyond. Because whether the posts are more positively inclined or negatively inclined, the ones I read more or less hit this note — Daryl loves Carol deeply, and they will fight the world to find each other, because they are each other's home. Always.
Whether any of this resonates with you or not, I encourage you to share your own thoughts and remember to tag caryl. Share why they are important to you, why you want them to go canon and what this show and these characters mean to you. Speak from the heart and share whatever you're comfortable with because your voice has power, and you deserve to take up space.
2024 is the year of Caryl. So many have waited a long time for it. Let's hope they honour that.
To those who are genuinely excited, I'm glad you're able to find something to hold on to. I wish I could join in, but I have to be honest about my reservations to honour how I feel about this. If you took the time to read this, I thank you. Stay safe and be well. ❤️

They materialized in a courtyard. Stone buildings, wrought iron fencing, and climbing roses adorned the landscape.
The courtyard itself had an immaculately manicured lawn with lush, green grass soft under her feet. Before she had even reoriented herself to her new location, a familiar voice called her name. “Eden!”
She turned toward the sound and broke into a full run. “Andy!”
She threw herself into his arms and he spun her around with a joyous laugh. He hugged her tightly as he sat her back on her feet. The cerulean blue eyes that matched her own stared back at her as he became serious. “I’m sorry. Dying sucks.”
She nodded hesitantly. “I…don’t remember it.”
He nodded. “That’s normal when it’s a sudden, unexpected, or violent death. The amnesia is the result of the shock of having your essence forcibly separated from your mortal body.”
That made sense. People who died of old age or long illness were prepared and their souls separated gradually over many days or weeks. “Mom never told me that part.”
“Maybe she didn’t know. How is she? And dad?”
“As well as can be expected. They miss you of course.”
“And now you as well.”
That was a sobering thought. Their parents had now lost both children. “Damn.”
“Yeah, well, at least they know for a fact that life doesn’t end when you shuffle off the mortal coil. That should make it easier.”
“This is very touching, but we need to get going. You two can have your sibling reunion after you’re assigned your mentors.”
“Mentors?” She blinked, looking back and forth between Fencio and her brother.
Andy rolled his eyes. “Chaperones is more like it.” He leaned toward her and whispered, “They don’t trust us because of our mixed heritage.”
“You were raised in the mortal world.” Fencio reminded him. “There’s much you don’t know and your mixed heritage, as you call it, complicates things. So you need others to help you adjust to this life.”
Eden studied the angel’s body language as he spoke. There was something about her and Andy that made him uncomfortable. Was it really just because their parents were half-human? Or was there more to it?
“Speaking of mentors…” Fencio’s eyes narrowed, “…where are yours?”
Andy gestured broadly behind him. “They’re waiting for me right now, but they understood I would want to greet my sister when she arrived.”
“Humph.” Fencio shook his head. “Human sentimentality. Come, girl. Let’s go.” He turned sharply and strode away, expecting to be followed.
She shot a glance back at Andy, who nodded at her with a sympathetic smile. “Go on. I’ll see you later. Promise.”
She returned his smile gratefully before scurrying after the angelic version of a headmaster. She had to walk double time to keep up with his long, quick strides, which was saying a lot as she was a fast walker herself.
They exited the courtyard and wound through stone hewn verandahs, twisting and turning until she knew she would never be able to find her way back on her own. They finally entered a building through a small, unassuming door, climbed three sets of stairs, and resumed winding their way through meandering corridors, indoor ones this time.
Her head swiveled this way and that as she tried to take in her surroundings. Marble walls glistened and glowed faintly, giving plenty of ambient light. Ceilings arched upwards of fifty feet overhead, and gleaming chandeliers of gold and crystal sparkled above them. The ceilings were adorned with intricate murals that she would love to study, but they were traveling too fast for her to make out details.
Finally, he stopped in front of a massive double door and pushed it inward. He gestured toward a small couch in the corner of the room without looking back as he headed for the massive oaken desk that graced the center of the room. “Sit.”
She obediently took a seat and discreetly checked out what was clearly his office. What would an archangel have in such a room?
Towering bookshelves of dark wood were filled with books that looked to be arranged according to the size and color of the cover. His desk was immaculate. A row of massive windows stretched across the wall behind the desk, casting a warm glow across the room. Despite that, it was still significantly darker than it had been in the hallway.
The floors, the walls, the furniture, everything was in dark, muted shades, giving the whole room an overall dreary feel.
The door burst open as a demon exploded into the room, fury sparking from his eyes. At least she assumed he was a demon. His hair was black as night, his eyes like ink, crimson wings raised in the air behind him, sprouting from a well muscled back and supported by a pair of the broadest shoulders she’d ever seen.
He never even glanced in her direction as he barreled down on Fencio. “What the hell, angel? My father sent me to the Lyceum to learn about history, warfare, and prophecy. Not to be a glorified babysitter!”
Her eyes were drawn back to the door when she detected a slight movement from the corner of her eye. A second immortal had entered the room right behind the demon. She presumed he was an angel. His wings were folded neatly behind him, the gleaming whiteness of them almost blinding. Powerful arms were crossed over a solid chest as he studied her. Glossy golden hair cascaded past his shoulders. Sparkling blue eyes as clear as the sky on a summer day bore into her with interest.
When their gazes met, his mouth turned up in a welcoming smile that sent warmth and electricity sparking through her. Her eyes widened and her lips parted as she drew in a shaky breath and tried to calm her suddenly erratic heartbeat. The angel’s smile broadened as if he could read her reaction.
She returned her attention quickly back to the showdown going on in the middle of the room.
“Stop being so dramatic, Lucifer.” Fencio wasn’t remotely ruffled by the demon’s outburst. “You and your father agreed to the terms of enrollment when he sent you here. All immortals, from either realm, agree to abide by and adhere to all of the high council’s committee of neutrality’s rules, policies, and expectations while in attendance at the Lyceum or while in residence in the city of Concordia.”
“I know that! But—”
“Chapter twelve, section eight, subsection C, paragraph fourteen grants the serving preceptor the right and the responsibility to assign duties as needed to ensure the continued safe and efficient running of the institute at Concordia.”
Lucifer’s wings dipped a little as he accepted defeat. “Why me? Can’t you get someone else to do it?”
Fencio smirked. “That’s what you said last time, and I did. This time, no. There is no other demon currently in attendance that matches your power. That makes her,” he gestured toward the corner, “your problem.”
Lucifer finally turned to glare at the newcomer. His eyes flicked up and down her, sizing her up and dismissing her in an instant. Turning back to Fencio he spit, “Fine. But she better not cause me any issues, or I will rip her immortal essence from her human soul and send the mortal part to hell!”
Eden shrank back on the couch, her eyes jumping from Lucifer to Fencio to the angel by the door, trying to discern if that was an actual possibility.
Fencio laughed as he leveled his gaze at her. “Hear that, hybrid? You’d better be on your best behavior!” Turning back to Lucifer, he barked, “I’ve assigned Mimi as her roommate. Now get her out of my sight. I have actual work to attend to!”
Lucifer spun on his heel and commanded, “Well, come on!”
She rose from her seat to follow the demon and found the angel waiting for her by the door. He gestured for her to precede him, then followed behind.
The moment they were all three in the hallway and the door to Fencio’s office was shut, Lucifer shook his head. Continuing to ignore her, he directed his remarks to the angel. “You take her to Mimi’s room. Call me if she gives you any trouble. Otherwise, don’t call me.” With that, he was gone.
The angel turned a sympathetic gaze to her. When he spoke, his voice was soft, like silk whispering across her skin. “Sorry about him.”
Chills cascaded down her spine as she lifted her eyes to his. “It’s okay. He can’t really do what he threatened to do, can he?”
His expression grew serious. “Not easily or without consequence. I’m Dino, by the way.”
“Eden.” She extended her hand in greeting.
“Eden.” He repeated as he returned the gesture.
His hand covered hers and goosebumps erupted across her body. They stood that way for a moment longer than strictly necessary: hands clasped, staring into each other’s eyes.
Dino moved first, releasing her hand and stepping back. “We should…go.”
Was that a faint flush on his cheeks?
In a move that was completely uncharacteristic of the woman who had been referred to as “brash”, “confident”, and “a force of nature” during her mortal life, Eden dropped her eyes to the floor as uncertainty pinged through her. There was no way an immortal was interested in her.
Right?
“Lead the way,” she mumbled as she silently berated herself for her foolishness. She was dead for the love of all that was holy. She had far more pressing things to worry about than if this being found her attractive.
Angels and demons felt sexual attraction, just as humans did. Her very existence was proof enough of that.
“Housing for the neophytes is this way.” He gestured before turning and leading her through a warren of hallways and up and down a few staircases.
She studied him surreptitiously as they walked. She already knew he had the clearest blue eyes she had ever seen. Crystalline with a hue that was almost imperceptible, like the faintest touch of morning frost on a windowpane.
Her gaze swept down his face, taking in the Grecian nose, the high cheekbones, and the square jaw, finally landing on his mouth. His bottom lip was full and inviting. Kissable.
She forced her eyes away from his lips, but that was a mistake. He moved with a graceful agility that was both distracting and mesmerizing. He was broad at the shoulders and narrow at the hips. In any other setting, she would be interested.
He kept up a running commentary as they went, remarking on the history of the building, and the architecture and pointing out landmarks so she could find her way around.
She heard none of it.
They rounded a corner and the corridor ended as they entered a huge common room. The walls and ceilings gleamed with gold accents. Multiple hallways on all four sides intersected the room. Angels and demons both lounged on decadent couches and sat on ornate chairs. All the chattering and laughter stopped abruptly as they skirted around the edge of the room. Every eye was trained on her as Dino led her down the right side of the common area. Stopping in front of the third hallway, he turned toward the room. “Don’t you all have something better to do?” His voice carried across the open area with authority.
Immortals stood, grabbing books and personal belongings as they scattered down the other hallways.
Concern laced his voice as he turned back to her. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine.” She waved her hand dismissively in the air. “It’s going to take more than a few stares to rattle me. Are they like this with every new arrival?”
“No.” He turned and led her down the hallway. “But you aren’t exactly a typical arrival.”
“Right.” She blew out a frustrated breath. “Why is everyone acting like I’m some sort of freak? Hybrids are uncommon but not unheard of.”
She nearly ran into him when he stopped in front of a highly polished wooden door. He studied her face with a mixture of amusement and curiosity. “That’s true, but you aren’t exactly a typical hybrid, are you?”
She grunted in consternation and then blew a stray strand of hair out of her eyes as she looked up at him in disquietude. “Maybe not, but surely there have been other—”
“There haven’t. Your brother was the first.”
She stared at him in stunned disbelief. “Wait. Are you telling me there has never been a human/demon/angel hybrid before?”
He shook his head. “Human and angel or human and demon hybrids are looked down upon, but angel-demon hybrids are strictly prohibited.”
Anger flared up inside her. “Well, I guess it’s different on Earth. The hybrids have been all but abandoned by heaven and hell, so we do what we want.”
“Your parents certainly did.” He stated it as a fact. There was no judgment in his tone, but it still rankled inside her.
“My parents can’t possibly be the only hybrids to ever reproduce!”
“Of course not. But as far as I know, your mother is the only Nephilim to ever have a child with a Cambion.”
She opened her mouth to retort but was interrupted as the door swung open. The most gorgeous woman she had ever laid eyes on stood in the doorway wearing skintight black leather, her raven hair falling freely across her shoulders. Black lipstick painted luscious lips and a pair of onyx eyes sparkled with mischief as they ran up and down Eden, openly checking her out. “Are you two just going to stand in the hallway arguing, or are you going to tell me why you’re at my door and who this delectable creature is?”

Fic Masterpost
I figured it's about time I did this. I mean they're all on AO3, but I figured having a Tumblr masterpost might put things in perspective as regards how much I've actually written lmao. Here we go.
Disclaimer: I mean, my writing is pretty mediocre, but I honestly find that the fandom space had to be filled out somewhat, so I started writing fic.
EarthMix
This is the pairing I've begun writing fic for again, so I have the most fics for EM.
Now unlocked. I don't think Joong is looking around for fic anymore, and certainly not on Tumblr. There are tons of unlocked fic in the tag, too, so there 'ya go!
The Stars, Our Witness 'Verse
The universe that started it all, partly as a way to archive EM activity before I became a fan, and partly as a way to stave off my delulu.
The Stars, Our Witness
Rating: E/NC17 Chapters: 16 (finished) Summary: They’re scared to cross boundaries. What happens when the lines blur? Tags: slow burn, friends to lovers, FWB, "canon rewrite" (in the sense of IRL being "canon" Warnings: divorce era. 'Nuff said.
2. supernova
Rating: E/NC17 Chapters: One-shot Summary: the same versions of 🌏 and 🪐 as in TSOW, but basically D/s pwp. Tags: pre-negotiated D/s; still a whole lot of longing.
3. of longing and loudness
Rating: E/NC17 Chapters: One-shot Summary: Oneshot set in the The Stars, Our Witness (TSOW) 'verse, and a reactionary fic post-LOL 2024. Tags: engaged!EarthMix
4. Beneath the Sunrise (in progress)
Rating: M (for now, but knowing me, this might go up) Chapters: 2 (so far, out of a slated 10) Summary: EarthMix get outed. They deal with the consequences. Tags: married!EarthMix, social media elements, bullying
General EarthMix fic
Mostly one-shots written as a reaction to a post, among other things.
laissez-faire
Rating: M Chapters: one-shot Summary: featuring Earth's obsession with mix's grey sofa Tags: engaged!EarthMix; domesticity
long distance
Rating: E/NC17 Chapters: one-shot Summary: of short reunions and busy schedules (lol honestly this has zero plot. I just missed them when they were in Japan for Happy Weekend, so I wrote a fic) Tags: PWP, quickie.
so here's the situation
Rating: E/NC17 Chapters: one-shot Summary: ~situationship~EarthMix (written after the Vivi interview had been released, and after they went on a museum simulation Van Gogh date literally the day after) Tags: situationship; we're dating but aren't together
househusbandry
Rating: G Chapters: one-shot Summary: Dreame gets EarthMix as endorsers for their vacuum. Why are they everyone's Favorite Married(TM) Couple? Tags: domesticity Note: This was written on my Notes app in like, 10 minutes, so the link is to my Twitter post to that fic.
in pari delicto (in progress; converting to prose)
OK so let me just write an author's note here. This is an unfinished Twitter social media AU because I would be writing about a topic I knew very, very well: law school. Now, I'm inclined to transform the fic to prose and transfer it to AO3 because I have no patience for the whole edit-edit concepts of socmed AUs and I honestly respect anyone who's done it. That said, I will likely continue this once I finish Beneath the Sunrise, or simultaneously as I write it.
PhuTian
Ah, ATOTS. Why do I love you so? Of course I'd write ATOTS fic.
re/live
Rating: E/NC17 Chapters: one-shot Summary: In which Tian celebrates his fifth year with his new heart in the best way. Tags: tian's birthday as an excuse to write smut, sloppy blowjobs, insecurity issues
old wives and the tales they tell
Rating: E/NC17 Chapters: one-shot Summary: Mayhaps Phupha has a kink. He refuses to validate the good Doctor Nam's speculation. Tags: domesticity kink, villager!tian, headcanon epilogue to ATOTS Note: Written in response to @earthmixsclowderofcats's Thai BL Kink Meme! Please show it some love and answer the prompts too please PLEASE!!
bad behavior
Rating: E/NC17 Chapters: one-shot Summary: Tian watches as Phupha grabs something from the nightstand – a pen? – and uncaps it. He holds Tian’s chin with one hand, and Tian feels the wet drag of the pen against his cheeks. “Chief, what are you—” “There,” Phupha says, “Whiskers.”
betwixt bewitched entanglements (in progress. might possibly discontinue.)
Rating: E/NC17 Chapters: 19 (out of a planned 15 lmao, I swear this was supposed to end earlier. Summary: Magic meets royalty meets a society walled off from the rest of the world. Tags: Royalty AU, Magic AU, political intrigue, slow burn Notes: Look. I got carried away writing this, and to be honest, the concept's flown so far away from me and the worldbuilding had been so solid in my head and I even know how this fic will end, but honestly? It's not getting engagement. That's not the sole reason for writing fic - of course not - but I'm not quite sure if it's worth my time and effort writing this out.
JimWen
10/31: So I just wrote this today woohoo!
the ebb and the flow
Rating: E Chapters: one-shot Summary: The first time after their last time. (Wen learns how to swim. Jim learns how to trust. A one-shot on the wandering thoughts of Wen and Jim as they navigate being in a relationship: the fear of stagnation, for Wen; and the fear of betrayal, for Jim.) Tags: introspective; plotless; PWP; alternate ending
OngsaSun
The first half of 23.5 excited me so elfin much that I'd write little tiny Ongsa character-explorations in between episodes. Here are the two I'd actually published.
gravity
Rating: G Chapters: one-shot Summary: Ongsa muses on the meadows of her mind. Tags: anxious!Ongsa
nightfall/daybreak
Rating: G Chapters: one-shot Summary: Ongsa is no stranger to the dark—that is, until she gives in to the light. Tags: depressed!Ongsa TW: "dark" as a metaphor for depression

🍄🍬❄️
Ahoy other nonnie! o7
🍄 ⇢ share a head canon for one of your favourite ships or pairings
mmmmmn I'll do three for. Reasons. :)
obikin: Obi-Wan is the truly unhinged one in the relationship. Sorry. He puts up a good front but I thoroughly believe that man would, if the circumstances aligned, out-unhinge Anakin in every conceivable metric, and he'd somehow make it all appear reasonable. Totally what he had to do at that moment. There was no better choice available.
jonelias: if "soulmates" existed in TMA, Elias would have had zero compunction about killing his soulmate if necessary. (Though he'd simply avoid or politely reject them if it weren't.) And if they kept being reincarnated? He'd still maintain the same stance. Not interested. Not useful to him. But Jon, Jon is the one he chooses, and that's far more meaningful to him than something as insignificant as a soulmate. (and if Jon also has a soulmate, well... he'll deal with that in whatever way he must.) (And I don't mean he'd automatically kill them!) (Unless he personally finds them unworthy) (then all bets are off)
hartwin: Eggsy is the sane, practical one. Harry has gone too long being the wild card, being too good, too lucky, too independent. Harry overly relies on money, on technology, on social cachet to ease his way through what little of every day life he must go through in between Kingsman and missions for Kingsman. That isn't to say Harry is incapable of being a competent adult, it's that he hasn't needed to for decades, and he's redirected his energy to the spy life. He can charm anyone... but he's rusty at actually having relationships. At building a life with someone. At having someone else in his space. In having anything even remotely resembling a work/life balance. Eggsy might think Harry is someone to emulate and learn from, but to Harry, Eggsy legit is the better half of their relationship.
🍬 ⇢ post an unpopular opinion about a popular fandom character
I don't think Obi-Wan Kenobi is a slut. 🤷 I think it's way more likely that he's a virgin. (Though I can and will write him either way, and with many other varying levels of experience/enthusiasm/interest in sex, because fanfic is fun like that. :D)
❄️ ⇢ what's your dream theme/plot for a fic, and who would write it best?
uh damn that's hard??? There's a lot of valid answers that could go here. So. Um. I'm going to cheat :D I'd love a GFFA fanfic that is mostly focused around what happened when Anakin became a Force Ghost, and his reunion with Obi-Wan. And it could take place across different timelines and flashbacks or w/e (that's what I've been thinking for a fic) but the main emphasis is their new situation, a fourth (master/padawan, generals, enemies) iteration of their ever-shifting dynamic, and one that I really never see explored. And I'd love to see @darthwillies tackle it and make me cry. my second dream plot is that I'd love to see @underacalicosky tackle an obikin werewolf or witch AU! thinking modern day, Anakin having been raised alone, either unaware that he wasn't the only one or knowing that there were more [werewolves/witches] out there but finding that they were unwilling to even go near him or would attack him unprovoked when he approached. So he's twitchy, wary, a total asshole at the slightest thing that sets him off, but oh does he want to learn. And of course he's ridiculously powerful/a prodigy and how did he even survive this long by himself, where did he even come from, and Obi-Wan knows everyone is asking themselves this, maybe he volunteers to teach Anakin what he needs to know, maybe he's ordered. But none of that matters if he can't get Anakin to trust him first.

destiel fic library
Hi! I'm abi, and I like to bend canon to suit all my whims and fancies.
I’ve finally done a masterpost of all my fics so far, everything is Castiel/Dean Winchester but as always: check the tags.
I mostly write canonverse, drowning in angst, and preferably explicit.
Always a happy ending.
Tumblr media
15k+:
finale fix-it set after 15x19 > conversations with you (M)
dean is cursed by a djinn > this bitter nightcall (E)
castiel is human, but they aren’t on speaking terms; two person love triangle set in s9 > salt & iron (E, written for DCBB ‘22)
AU 15k+:
coffeeshop au; librarian castiel is tasked with fixing up his dad’s bookshop, and barista dean from next door helps > the barista and the bookshop (E, written for Pinefest ‘23)
serial killer au; sam is dead and dean needs a place to rest up, he answers a ‘roommate wanted’ advertisement stuck to the window of a coffee shop and meets professor castiel > like ivy (E, written for DeanCasHorrorfest ‘23)
one-shots:
cas gives dean a shoulder massage > touch-starved (M)
flirting behaviour > dean and cas play nsfw scrabble (M)
post-confession reunion > kissing is the most fun dean winchester can have without taking his clothes off (but it’s better if he does) (E)
collections/series’:
dean gives cas the mixtape > dean and cas - mixtape collection (G,M,E)
various smut > spoiler alert: they fuck (E)

I have like very very specific feelings about Blade and Dan Heng’s dynamic/complicated situation and of course by extension the situation that occurred between Dan Feng and Yingxing and it’s like super particular, not in the way I think I’m objectively correct or fully indulging in fanon but a secret third thing. And the worst part is that I quite literally cannot for the life of me verbalize/write down my feelings and viewpoint to the full extent
They are just so complicated and full of so many tropes I love and it oof, it hurts very deeply. I like just reread the Passerby of Wandering Cloud relic set and I’m hmmm
I will say something as best as I can, I will never stop thinking about “Pairs of objects are destined for an eventual reunion.” In general that whole relic set wrecks me emotionally on a scale that I haven’t had since I read Stormbringer from BSD. They have such a complicated dynamic and I enjoy it so deeply, and see the thing is that they have such contradictory feelings that I don’t know the direction Hoyo will take it in but I am strapped in for the ride either way.
Also theres something like this fixation certain people have on separating the two and fixating on how they’re on their own paths AWAY from each other and I just,, I can’t understand that fixation because first off, even without talking about past selves, just talking about the current selves, the connection between them is extremely important when it comes to characterizing either of them. That is a significant part of their characters and where they currently are and a refusal to acknowledge that even without any shipper goggles confuses me. Additionally, as I brought up before, “Pairs of objects are destined for an eventual reunion” even as Blade and Dan Heng rather than Yingxing and Dan Feng, their paths are destined to cross. Given the earliness of the Xianzhou arc, heavily doubt this is any kind of “eventual reunion” as said by the relic seeing as its not like this is the first time they’ve met and those weren’t the this spoken of reunion. And additionally, I can’t help but think about Dan Heng specifically whether with knowing intent or not, carries multiple tokens of his past from the bracer itself to the jade pendant to literally Cloud Piercer. The weapon that makes him feel safe and yet he also has unfinished business with the creator
Speaking of that line, I’ve seen some people who think that he knows Blade made it. I personally heavily think he doesn’t know, given word choice to how he feels about it etc. But hmm I wonder if we’ll see what happens there. And that voiceline is just yet another thing hammering home how these two are destined to continue to have their paths intertwined.
And I’m trying to find the post again but I saw someone talking I think about the translations of the relic lore for that set and referring to the whole Pairs of objects line and they talked I think about how that statement is not meant to merely represent the actual objects but more so to represent Dan Heng and Blade themselves which may have been obvious from the start, but after reading that I felt like someone had expanded my mind and I can’t stop thinking about it, I can’t
Anyways anyways, I don’t think these two are by any means solely characterized by each other and they shouldn’t solely be seen as only existing in proximity to the other, but I don’t get people who for some reason hate the idea of them being connected in any manner bc of hating ships that they outright disregard and deny like key important parts of their canon. I mean people will do what they do and there’s no reason trying to put logic behind every single thing or whatever, but maybe that’s also just because I feel insane about their lore and again have this specific idea and view of them in my head. Maybe I’ll be able to put it into words better one day
Everything I ranted about arent even the full extent of my feelings about this particular topic regarding them. I just feel so specifically that I don’t know how to put it in words. If only sounds alone could convey my thoughts
Theres so much more I could rant about, so much more I could say but its like 4 am and I cant properly formulate thoughts without tangents starting in the middle of them

Trick of the Light
Stein navigates coping with a personal loss. Post-anime canon.
Not sure how many chapters this will have yet. Maybe 4 or 5 or so; possibly just 3, potentially 6.
Soul Eater - Stein, Spirit, & Marie (ships are up to interpretation, SFW) // blind!Stein, ships up to interpretation, friendly banter, hurt+comfort, acceptance, coping, learning to live again, recovery Chapters 1/? Current word count - 1,879 -- [AO3 link]
Tumblr media
"So, we're not going to the cabaret club after all?"
"No, Stein." Spirit chuffed with a playful shove.
"But I could twist your leg."
"Very funny."
Stein brushed his hand to Spirit’s knuckles and readjusted to meet their palms in interlocked fingers. It was a comfortably tempered day as the setting sun blistered through the breeze, the two taking in faint music from the passing buildings and the smell of food and autumn on the wind. While the cobbled brick walkways were ever-familiar to the professor, that evening he allowed his weapon to surprise him on their catch-up reunion with their colleagues.
Alright, he would admit to himself, he wasn’t exactly interested in the decision-making of the like.
“It’s here,” Spirit slowed and gestured to move in front of his partner, reaching out and holding the door open for him.
A nod, and they were quick to notice the restaurant was characteristically empty for an awkwardly-timed Tuesday night, perfect for more open conversation and intimate focus undistracted by bustle; along the front wall, a few tables down from the entrance, three kindred souls were already chatting patiently.
“Did Naigus not make it?” Franken couldn’t help a grin, touching the edge of the table on his approach.
“Stein! Death Scythe!” Exclaimed Sid from the corner of the booth. “No, Naigus is attending an emergency operation tonight, something came up after a recent mission.”
“I hope everything’s alright,” Spirit worried aloud, gently patting Stein’s back before he scooted into the seat behind him; across from the knife meister and now next to Albarn sat a still-studious woman who rustled papers out of the way to make space at the table.
“We were actually just discussing it,” Azusa remarked. “The kids are sure to make a full recovery, but the fight they had to put up wasn’t anticipated to be at that caliber.”
“On a leisure trip away from home and yet you all still find work. It’s something to be remarked.” Stein made effort in slight jest to face the remaining guest, soft and anticipatory.
“Tell me about it…” Marie sighed, but her wavelength readjusted to ensure a sort of calm resolve.
“I can’t pretend I didn’t bring it up,” Sid chuffed. “You know the kind of man I am, I can’t help but keep my head in the game.”
“And I can’t help but entertain him.” Azusa straightened the files with two taps to the table.
Stein instinctively rolled his eyes with a balancing polite chuckle. “Of course.”
"It's been so long since we've seen you,” said Marie in ordered relay.
"I would say the same." Stein held back an amused sprawl making his place next to his weapon until Spirit pushed him in the shoulder.
"Shut up, Stein." He laughed.
“If I don’t laugh, I’ll cry.” Franken snapped sarcastically.
“It’s a relief to have you in good spirits.” Sid chimed, sitting back, the leather squeaking out from behind him.
Stein gestured outward generally with a lighthearted shrug. “There’s too much work to be done to maintain anything different.”
“And that’s where he got his praise to give to us.” Yumi dared to joke, her words muffled in her cup.
Too caught up in the group’s banter, the waitress managed to startle the professor at his side.
“Welcome in, gentlemen. Could I get you something to drink?”
“Ah, just water,” Franken answered for them both. He slapped a firm hand onto Spirit’s shoulder and playfully wobbled him. “He’s my designated driver, you see.”
“Cut it out.” Spirit half-huffed.
“I gotcha…” She humored him. “Did anyone need any more time deciding?”
“Oh, Stein, are you familiar with the menu?” Marie asked, worry crossing her tone. “I just realized we forgot to ask.”
He smirked. “Spirit said he’d surprise me. That was apart of our deal tonight, that he’d take the lead.”
“And <i>fortunately for you,”</i> on cue, his weapon teased, “I also know what you like.”
“There’s that, too.”
One by one, the server took everyone’s dinner requests, navigating the occasional rhythmic raillery between the familiars. The dinner was a celebration of returns and recovery from their last group-assigned collaboration from almost a year ago to the date; Sid, of course, continued to be a local character who kept up his presence, but the likes of Azusa remained steadfast in her duties. Marie, despite her begged insistence against it, had been quickly swept back to Oceania after their last mission together.
She wrote to Stein, and she did receive letters back in his voice, but not in his handwriting.
Over their glasses, Barrett and Albarn got wrapped up in a usual back-and-forth about Shibusen on new students and policy and technique, Yumi occasionally dropping in to make note of history and comparison and statistics. Marie and Franken quietly listened to themselves, one of which was slightly uncharacteristic. In noticing her undoubtedly unintentional silence, Stein reached out an open palm with his elbow on the table, a gentle though disarming smile washed his countenance to assure the gesture. She shortly exhaled with the same reflection and accepted his fingertips, her thumb rubbing under his knuckles. There was a small lull in the partnering conversation upon noticing the exchange, but it naturally continued on after only a pause, laughter of the friends once again brightening the atmosphere.
In a moment, they were interrupted with their meals brought to them, dishes distributed noisily among the guests. Naturally, they all settled again, the warmth of their souls matching with each other in the warmth of the food.
Stein traced his plate and met a sushi roll with his chopsticks. “Which one is this one again?”
“Futomaki.” Spirit commented. “And then the one above it is the unagi.”
“Right.”
He bit a section of the roll with sincere thought.
“Hmm.” He pretended he didn’t want to smile. “Eel. You do know me.”
“Yeah, and you should know me, too—” Spirit moved to steal a bite from Franken’s plate, but was timely defended with a sturdy arm.
“Too well.” In the deflection, he reached over and jabbed his chopsticks into his partner's dish, popping a piece into his mouth without even acknowledging what it was.
“Oh,” Stein murmured with a revolted grin. “Cucumber, how typical of you.”
For once it was Spirit to wield a malicious giggle. “Checkmate!”
Something in Azusa’s wavelength shifted that brought Stein to refocus in front of him, Marie excusing herself abruptly from the table.
“I’ll be right back…” She tried for manners, but turned away too quickly before expressing her apologies.
“Marie…” Yumi moved to comfort her out of instinct, but could not make any sort of gesture fast enough out from behind both Death Scythe and the professor.
“I noticed she was quiet, but I must admit I figured you had it covered.” Sid remarked in reference to the doctor. “Do you know what’s going on, Stein?”
Azumi answered for him. “She’s still upset about the outcome of the battle with The Gale from last year.” She must have glanced to Stein after readjusting her glasses, but he was too focused on Marie’s departure. “She said she didn’t think she’d be ready to see you again, but I told her I thought she never would be.”
“Any time sooner is better than later. It doesn’t make it any more easy.” Spirit rubbed Stein’s back, to which he didn’t seem to react to in his thoughts.
“I wish I had known.” Barrett sighed. "I'll check on her." Stein had long-concluded the second Marie had gotten up to step away. "Oh-- Did you want me to go with you?" Albarn’s attention honed.
“No, I’ll find my way.”
“Ah, alright.”
Stein took balance from the booth and wandered away from the group, tracing the trail of the distressed soul to the rear of the restaurant; he tapped along the edge of the beverage bar for a sort of self-reassurance to meet a push door at the back wall.
“Marie?”
Quick to withhold a surprised gasp, the weapon paused to hold her breath. She let it go in mere seconds in its futility.
“I’m here, Stein.” She said forlorn.
He let the door close behind him, stepping to the bathroom counter next to her. Because he knew she wouldn’t do it, herself, he released a forced sigh.
“I don’t have to ask about the elephant in the room.”
Marie reflected his breath and brought a soft hand to his shoulder.
“I’m—”
“Don’t apologize.” He warned. Stein intended genuine cordiality, but if there was one thing he wasn’t going to accept, it was an apology for the wrong reasons.
He corrected his tone in an earnest questioning. “Why are you actually upset?”
Mjolnir had to return her hand to wipe away silent tears. “It’s just… You’re still you. I’m happy for you.”
Stein bit his tongue and held the pause. So, then, why are you still emotional about it? He desperately wanted to snap. He wasn’t mad at her, but he wanted to be. He knew the answers to his own question, it was just frustrating to him that she hadn’t actualized or accepted them for herself yet.
In their momentary interlude, the bathroom door swung open and halted with a start, surely at the sight of Stein.
"Oh!” A woman nervously chirped from behind him. “Uh, sir? You're in the women's room..."
"You don’t think I know that?" He barked, whipping around with unintended aggravation, the loop of the tall white cane in his hand slipping over his wrist in the jerk and clattering to the floor. He didn’t care that the stranger yelped and scurried away.
Marie picked up the stick and returned it to his fingertips, more shaken than she was before.
Stein sighed, re-centering himself, recollecting, and only hoped the death weapon would do the same. “I took my time to grieve. Have you?” He waved his hand in correction. “Don’t answer that, just think about it.” He took his orientation away from the counter top as he rubbed calloused fingers between his brow; Franken knew he had to steady her wavelength if he wanted her to listen to anything he had to say, and it surely wasn’t his intention to scare her into focus. The professor finally held out his hand and she took it after a sniffle.
“I don’t like thinking that a lot better could have happened for us. It’s counterproductive when the opposite is true, too.” He squeezed her grip. “I resent losing my sight, I don’t resent you.”
Eventually, she nodded in pair with a small handshake and an audibly trembling breath to confirm her crying, returning the squeeze. Stein moved to hug her and she hid her face in the smell of his cologne.
With the timing, he considered to joke. "Spirit asked if he could come with me to comfort you, but I think too many women's rooms have seen enough of Spirit Albarn." Marie instantaneously broke her tears with a huffed laugh.
“Oh, Stein…” She pulled away with a relaxed smile, the shattered pieces reforming within their resonance, looking up to his misplaced gaze.
“Come over to our place tonight after dinner and we can make sure everything gets put back in the right order.”
She hugged him once more.
“I would love that.”

Okay information on the Calamity Trio in my Amphibia TOH AU, because I felt like info dumping and because I've been thinking about the Owl House a lot lately. (Though I will probably post a more polished version of this once I complete some art pages for the AU, and some details may change in between that)
Anne (Luz Equivalent)
She first came to the Boiling Isles with Sasha (trying to find Marcy), only to be separated due to a combination of weird magical forest shenanigans and the start of a conflict brewing between them.
Lived in a forest near the Plantars' home for about a week until Sprig found her.
While she does encounter glyphs very early on she takes a long time to learn them (only actively practicing when it becomes very clear that the Plantars are in trouble).
Before she learns to use glyphs though she instead relies mostly on team work with Sprig and the later on the other witches that she has managed to connect with.
Enters Hexside as a single track student (hasn't fully settled on which track she would go in though). Though she mostly joined because of Sprig.
Sasha (Amity Equivalent)
Following her separation from Anne, she made her way to a Bonesborough.
Immediately she encountered the same issues that Luz of being in a hostile world except without the protection of a powerful witch. Additionally she found herself in conflict with the Emperor's coven. This lead to a strong distrust towards most witches. (Added with the fact that she just isn't a very trusting person overall
An early protection measure that she took was stealing a low power concealment stone to disguise herself as a witch.
Eventually through a series of complicated events ended up in partnership with Head Witch Grime and enrolls in Hexside as a bard track student. She has fairly consistently maintained the role of Top Student since then
Was given a Heron palisman by Grime to assist in falsifying her ability to use magic.
First reunites with Anne at Hexside, with a scheme that leads to Anne being banned from the school. This is later followed by a more tense reunion during the Covention mostly due to Grime and Sprig's involvement.
Marcy (Hunter Equivalent)
Arrived in the Boiling Isles before Anne and Sasha did (though not by much) and through a series of unknown events was found by the Emperor's Coven.
Despite very clearly maintaining her nerdy personality and fascination at pretty much every aspect of the Boiling Isles, her memories of the human realm appear to be completely gone. (The cause of this is complicated because I didn't want to fully go into the Grimwalker route, because... well you may not know this but I like Marcy and I'm not doing that.)
"Artificer Rogue" similar to canon Marcy, and has become incredibly involved with developing and improving on magically infused technology, various gadgets, and potions.
She rarely leaves the castle both due to the requirements of her position and general loyalty to Andrias. If traveling she generally goes with Lady Olivia which brings her to some important events (likely how she reunites with Anne).
Has access to her uncharged phone along with a bag containing some of her belongings.
A few other notes
The equivalent to Witches Before Wizards is an episode in which Anne is tricked into going on a quest to save Marcy and Sasha. And not going to lie a tiny, probably concerning part of me really wants to draw that ending.
Magically infused technology is significantly better developed though still quite rare in this setting. (Reasoning actually had nothing to do with Marcy but was great for establishing her role).
The equivalent to Understanding Willow/Hollow Mind is probably going to involve traveling into Marcy's mind, though I'm still settling on how that will play out
Anyway, this was a really random collection of details. I'll probably update more later, but if you have any questions feel free to ask.

"You know, Zelda... There's something I've been meaning to talk to you about."

Happy Valentines Day :) This is my obligatory SS Zelink appreciation post.
Time for another headcanon ramble!!! 🎉
As one of my favorite LoZ games (and one I'm playing through right now), Skyward Sword just had to be what I posted on Valentine's Day! Link and Zelda in this game are so cute! They're practically canon, they even have a theme titled "Romance in the Air" (and no one can convince me the pun isn't intended).
It's pretty clear that, unlike most games, their relationship wasn't ambiguous. These first incarnations were childhood friends, and even before the world was at stake it seemed their bond was unbreakable. Their dynamic in general is amazing, and the chemistry that is somehow present within scenes without Link talking beyond dialogue options really goes to show how close the two are. It really makes me feel bad that they had to go through so much just to get that moment of calm back.
Near the beginning of the game, Zelda (somewhat timidly) asks Link to go fly through the clouds with her in celebration of his victory at the Wing Ceremony. While they're in the sky on the backs of their loftwings, Zelda mentions there's something she's been meaning to talk to Link about. But, of course, she gets ripped from the sky by a dark tornado just before she can finish her sentence. She never gets to finish, either, as when she lands she is plunged into a destiny she unknowingly set for herself eons ago. Both are sent on journeys of their own, ultimately leading to the reunion of the Triforce and the Hylia statue's return to the surface. It is there that Zelda tells Link she wants to stay in this land. Many people interpret Link's smile in response as an agreement. While I am one of those people, I also believe that Link had more to say afterword.
Throughout the events of Skyward Sword, it is very clear his initial motivations were to make sure Zelda was okay. Even if dismissed or further separated by Impa or Ghirahim, Link was willing to take up a sword and fight to reach her. And, in the end, his worst fears came true. Not only did Zelda have to seal herself away- potentially forever if he failed- but when he freed her, Ghirahim intervened and put Zelda's life on the line. Despite the severity of the situation, I don't think Link saw a goddess's soul about to revive the ancient king of demons. I think he saw his best friend, the girl he loved, in the midst of life or death.
In the end, when the two finally achieve the peace they've been traveling across the surface to grasp, there's a final post credits scene with them atop the descended Hylia statue. Link plays Ballad of the Goddess on Zelda's harp much like she did at the beginning, and they get to take in the hope of a new future over the horizon. With everything they'd been through up until then, what would be a better time to finish where they left off with their lives?
Anyway, that's where I'll leave the rambling for now. To be continued, more than likely.
Reblogging is fine, but please don't post this anywhere else without linking the original post. Thanks!

I have the same feelings like you regarding season 3. If post s2 had given us interviews with the leads, the writers/showrunner talking about race and the trial, like, anything about the actual story of the season, I might, might, be able to look at s3 promo with a more positive attitude, but we got none of that. All we got was a "romantic" reunion, set-up for a future "less to blame, more a victim" Lestat and Louis who has already forgiven him. We also got a showrunner who talks about how much he wanted to do this show to adapt tvl. What does that tell me, someone who enjoyed the first 2 seasons immensely, when the showrunner says, that was all basically just pre-story, the thing he is actually passionate about will be this. It feels like they just wanted to get it over with to get to this, the white man's return. I knew about the books, but wasn't aware of the tone change, but before the s2 finale I would have said, they could still pull it off, but with every single thing I heard about season 3 up until now, I simply do not think so. They will promote the shit out of rockstar Lestat (more promo than any of the other seasons probably got, wonder why....) and they still could turn this into a much more serious story later in the season, but given that the show runner once again, stated that the show the fans knew is over, that does not appear to be the plan. I loved the gothic horror of s1 and 2, I had issues with some of the choices, no show is perfect, but I loved it. I hate that I still feel attached to the show or at least what it was.
The one thing I disagree with you is the vierwership, I can see more people turning in for s3, because Lestat is so "cunty, funny, evil" whatever, none of what has happened in the prior season will matter anymore.
"The one thing I disagree with you is the vierwership, I can see more people turning in for s3, because Lestat is so "cunty, funny, evil" whatever, none of what has happened in the prior season will matter anymore."
I do think it'll get more viewership in general, but I was thinking about specifically losing a large part of their black viewers to this and historically how that has gone for anything.
It also depends how they're going to address 1x5 anymore. If the trial version is all the commentary we get then there goes everything. Lestat still does a lot of heinous shit but, if Sam's commentary is anything go by, there's gonna be a big excuse for that at the end anyway. I'm still hanging on to see exactly what's shown in the series itself but S2 made me less enthusiastic. They've been softer on Lestat thru even more of his physically brutal scenes in the books but have no problem burning Louis multiple times fsr (none of which are book canon for these show events). Even when Sam pushed for it they didn't do it (the reunion). It all feels gross.
But, ya, I agree with u. I try to not doom spiral but it's harder to keep that mindset with all the fuckery between show and production for S2. I just don't think they give a shit.
