A list of gameplay/technical things about DATV that I really love bc the game doesn't waste my time with bs
no inventory limit, my beloved (having to sort through a needlessly limited bag space usually irritates me the most and is the first thing I mod in order to play a game)
no lockpicking
great fast travel system
auto saving is amazing, especially bc it always make a save before cutscenes and decisions
changing party members without having to go to the Lighthouse
changing talents on the fly
the transmog system in general
limited gear for companions which I actually prefer
no crafting and instead just the upgrading and enchanting system
clear romance options

maybe icarus went through with melinoë's plan because he assumed if something went wrong the consequences would be his to suffer, not hers
