"By the Gods, I have such a headache." Gale groaned, rubbing his fingertips over his brows, drawn in as they were. Such an unpleasant feeling; it was like his very gums were aching, must be the pressure it was putting on him. And on such a pleasant evening, too… sunset was approaching, the sky streaked with pink. He was tired; admittedly, more so than the day of fights might have actually needed. Maybe he was a little burnt out? The magic had not come so easily today, and more than once he'd found himself throwing himself into the battle, swinging with weapons rather than keeping his distance and --

Eyes snapped to the sky again. The last few nights they had barely been able to see it; clouded over, shadows and worse things, but - had they been on this journey so long? Fear shot through his veins as he jolted to his feet. Needed to get enough distance. Oh, no. With everything that had happened - maybe the tadpole would restrain it? Prevent it? It allowed Astarion to walk in the sun, but it wasn't a chance he could risk…

"Must get some more firewood!" he said, over-bright. "Shan't be long!" before he was turning, striding at a great pace towards the woods. His heart was starting to race, although that could be fear more than it was - his long time enemy.

hello all! this is a starter call for gale dekarios of waterdeep! if you are a multimuse ( like me ) please state for it's for and i'll get it typed up!

"This is Tara. Mr. Dekarios is asleep right now. He keeps gushing about how nice everyone in this little magical artifact is, so I thought I'd check it out for myself while he's not around."

Tara inspects the strange magical box with suspicion, trying to figure out how it works.

Since Mystra had stabilised the orb, he had relaxed a little about it's threat. Of course, his death hung overhead; the weapon he was wielding was a danger to everyone around him. But in the last few days, it had been… aching. Not it's previous sickening, draining need for Netherese magic. Instead, a low, constant pain.

In the evenings, when he was tired, it seemed to ache worse, throbbing in his chest. The wizard had done his very best to not reveal it throughout the day's travels, but as they settled down for camp, he had slipped quietly away to his tent, leaving the cooking to one of the others tonight. Tucked behind a curtain, he ground his palm against the shape emblazoned in his skin, as if expecting that would ease the discomfort away.

Since the intimate night you spent with Gale at Moonrise Towers, he knows how you feel about Mystra and his fixation on the powers of the gods. But when Mystra summons him to an audience, the gravity of her demands threatens to tear you both apart. Tested under Mystra's hand in the chasm of the Weave's crushing weight, it will take the most divine of corporeal forces to bring Gale back to himself.

“Perhaps,” you smile in spite of yourself. “In any case… there could be some peon scrabbling in the dirt somewhere who may find you close enough to divinity just as you are.” 

He closes the distance between your bodies. “And who might that be, to confer such lofty praise on this ignoble wizard?”

“No one I know of!” You glance surreptitiously sideways, trying to evade his way of looking past your defenses, looking into you, looking through you. “It’s purely a hypothetical consideration.”

“Hmm, of course, purely hypothetical.” He slides an arm around your waist and takes your jaw delicately in his powerful hand. As you glance up from under your lashes to meet his lustrous gaze, your heart leaps into your throat and seizes against your will. “Hypothetically, of course,” he muses, “such a person could never be described as a scrabbling peon. Enchanting treasure, perhaps… celestial scion, probably. Resplendent idol of magnificence, almost certainly. But scrabbling peon? A woefully inaccurate depiction.” The torches flicker warm shadows across Gale’s face.

“Hypothetically, of course,” you smile coyly, “such a person would probably be quite taken with you under this torchlight… concentration could be off the table altogether.”

His cocky grin flashes bright in the low orange light of the braziers. “Perhaps I could think of some way to entice such a hypothetical person’s focus.”

Longing burns sweet and twisting in the pit of your belly, pulling you in closer toward the heat of Gale’s body. You slip your hand between the parting of his long robe and rest one finger on the waistband of his trousers. “Hypothetically,” you breathe, “such a person might entreat you to indulge her imagination a moment longer.”

He lifts one eyebrow slightly, a sliver of his tongue tracing the line of his white teeth across his enamored smile. “You know how I live to indulge you.”

Astarion asks with his eyes narrowed, eyeing the Wizard suspiciously. Of all the magical things Gale could decide to do, he joined Tumblr of all places?

Welcome to the Gale channel, folks, quick shout that I’m happy to write pieces or prompts off of your ideas (I can extend beyond Gale and Tav!), and will likely try to produce 1-2 parts/ pieces a day.

The two current priorities for long running fics:

-Gale seeking the crown still at the docks

-Gale and Tav were childhood rivals, enemies to lovers with a little jealousy angle

I’m comfortable writing all BG3 characters and have a moderate understanding of DND lore, don’t be a stranger, thanks for checking out my work! :)
