This was at least 100 dollars before the Miku transformation, who knows how much she sank on this gift. But sitting there, with a sister, a twin, who so fully and wholly accepted him, who wholeheartedly spent her savings to buy him a gender affirming garment, when she didn't have to... Dipper thanks Mable for the gift. He promises to try it on after he finished with the other gifts. He wears it every day until he's 19. But he keeps the Miku Binder in his closet, long after top surgery, long after his wedding, long after his kids go to college, he keeps it untill he and Mable are both gone.

no!!!! i highly recommended against binding using bandages. first and foremost you should not be binding in general for more than 8 hours at a time at the most, which is less than only taking them off before bed. secondly, binding improperly and unsafely such as with bandages can be extremely harmful. restricting materials such as tape and bandages are going to make it difficult and harmful for you to breathe and move, and are more likely to damage your ribs and lungs, not to mention the effects that long term unsafe binding can have on possible future surgery results as well-

no, no. don't bind with bandages. if you are able to get your hands on a proper binder then that is going to be your best option. there are some places where you may be able to get one for very cheap, or with discreet packaging, or you could get one and say its for cosplay perhaps. i understand if you dont want to risk it, of course, but still i would look into what resources may be available to get yourself a cheap binder and still keep it a secret if you are worried about your parents.

there are also other ways to bind as well! the most common and safer methods include something like using a compression sports bra or perhaps even layering a second one if you feel its necessary (be mindful and careful of that though), and being strategic about the clothes you wear. clothing can be used to easily shape your form, so finding things to wear that may hide your chest (things like loose clothes or certain patterns) may be helpful.

and like i said, please do not sleep while binding and do not bind for extended periods of time without taking breaks.

I speak with a lower tone than my natural tone, so that isn’t too bad and if you do it enough you get used to it. Just don’t strain your voice.

Or speaking in a more tired careless tone is also a good option.

Short haircuts, obviously. Male barber. Or if you can’t, tuck your hair up into caps instead. Baggy shirts and jumpers if you don’t have access to binders/trans tape. I avoid tight clothes anyway. I recommend straight legged baggy pants (jeans, khakis or corduroy), and stuffing them with something is pretty good if you don’t want to buy packers.

Leave your eyebrows messy, and you can even use contour makeup if you want to make your face look more masculine. Mens deodorant and cologne, even if it’s the cheap ones from the supermarket, it still works. Also body language and how you present yourself.

And of course confidence is massive. If people call you young lady, correct them if you can. Then they’ll know you’re a guy. If they ask if you’re trans, you don’t have to answer or tell them the truth if you don’t feel comfortable with it. Completely up to you. Being misgendered doesn’t make you any less of a man.

Do you have any wisdom for a baby trans just starting out?

i am! i'd highly suggest wearing baggy clothes like cargo pants, over-sized shirts/hoodies, that type of things, those are what i wear when i'm not wearing my binder (frankly i wear hoodies alot bc i don't really have any masc looking clothes, though i do have some masc clothes gifted from my own sister who is mtf!) also when you buy a binder i suggest getting a sizer bigger than you normally would -- since im a large, i got a xl! it's really cheap to buy binders on amazon (always check the reviews!!!!!!!!!) i got my binder for like 8 usd on amazon! if your like a teen/minor, i'd ask your parents or guardian if you can cut your hair short, in a masculine way -- since i'm REALLY into kpop, i ask my parents (since i have no money/job atm & i cant drive anywhere & i haven't actually come out to my parents yet) if i can have my hair cut based off my favorite idol (usually hongjoong if you were wondering. you weren't? too bad......................)

tips for dealing w dysphoria!!

this might not help everyone, but these are some tips n tricks that have helped me w dysphoria! 1. clothes!! if u can't get gender affirming clothes, try ur best to get gender neutral clothes!! if you're ftm like me, i suggest wearing your trousers quite low, even if they're not designed to be low waisted, it helps hide any hip curves!! n baggy shirts help me too, to hide anything my binder doesnt. i go to a support group for trans kids, and they have a free clothes rack, you can donate clothes or take clothes and they won't tell ur family or anything. even charity shops/thrift stores are good! if you dont like the clothes there or can't afford them, dont be afraid to ask your friends! the worst thing they can do is say no, unless you're not out to them

2. binding/tucking/packing,, i've found that binding and packing are some of the best ways to feel more at home in my body, but binders can be expensive, and cheap ones arent usually very good for you. i'd suggest body tape for my trans boys blessed with small chests, it doesnt really bind, but it holds things in place! u can watch tutorials on youtube but i'll link one just for u right here! the actual tutorial starts at around 1:36. https://youtu.be/Itzspq5K0z8

as for packing, you can buy an actual packer, or just use a balled up pair of socks! it might not make much difference but honestly just knowing i have that bulge has helped me a lot! i used to use socks, and it's quite easy to use, but remember they're there when you use the toilet,, ive dropped mine in countless times. i use a packer now and i love it so much, it adds the perfect bulge for me, and i wear boxers with a sort of pocket at the front to hold it in place!

when it comes to tucking i dont have any experience, but if you do a bit of research im sure you can find something!! just whatever you do....DONT USE DUCT TAPE!!!!!! that applies to all of u honestly. with stuffing a bra or something, you can buy adhesive silicone bra fillers from basically any store that sells female clothes! they'll add at least a little bit of cup size and if you have a bra, it'll make your chest look perkier and help fill it out a bit! plus once again, socks work for that! you can fold them, roll them, whatever you find works best!

3. friends!!!!!!!!! GET URSELF GOOD AND CONFIDENT FRIENDS!!! if ur out to people irl, and you get misgendered in public with friends, it can be so so uncomfortable to correct people! if you have confident friends/partners, you should ask that they correct people for you! you shouldnt have to go through any of it alone <3

more about friends !! find friends who are similar to you, but opposite! as a trans boy, i have quite a few mtf friends, and i've given my old clothes/bras etc to them, and they've given me boxers, shirts, and colognes!!

Okay, I have a question for any transmasc people who see this or follow me.

I have a friend who's genderfluid and a another friend who's FTM. Neither of them have worn binders and I want to get them binders for Christmas. I'm cisfem so I don't really know that much about this stuff.

Namely, I don't know if it would be good for them to jump into binders right off the bat or start with transtape and then get them to binders.

So for people who are transitioning or have transitioned, what would be a safe yet cheap option for me to buy for them?
