okay so I've seen this work a lot and I want to know how well it will go for me.

If this gets to 1,000 notes I will finish writing the second book in the series I'm working on.

If this gets to 5,000 notes I will ask my parents for a chest binder.

In case anyone's wondering; there's an update on my chest binder issue!

Y’all, I FOUGHT the gc2b support care for a new chest binder. I’m not gonna show the proof though because I’m not gonna out the poor person who had to deal with my stubborn ass.

While I was polite in the messages, I essentially BEGGED to get a size up in the chest binder I bought. Honestly, it was on me for getting a size too small on a final sale product. I read the policy, and it clearly stated refunds and exchanges were not allowed. It made sense, all things considered, because this was a final sale.

The employee (bless their heart) couldn’t compensate me for the money given the policy. I kept profusely asking for some type of compensation btw. Despite this, the employee caved and allowed for an exchange. Now I have to ship the binder back out, but I can’t do that yet because I’m going on vacation for a few days. I wanna preface this isn’t the employee’s fault! They were simply doing their job, and I had an issue with the company.

Normally, I wouldn’t unleash my inner aggression like this. If this was a shirt or something else, I wouldn’t have fought as hard as I did. Chest binders are very important to me. They make me feel more confident and less dysphoric. Not every trans person feels the same way I do, but a chest binder is a must for me. I want to feel good about the clothes I wear and the way I present myself to the world.

If anything, I should probably take more breaks with my binder, but it becomes a habit to wear it for most of the day. Because it’s summer now, I’ve been binding less, which is a good and bad thing.

I was incredibly surprised I got what I wanted out of this. Tbf, I wasn't gonna go down without a fight on this chest binder.

Anyway this was me:

some days waking up without a binder hits so much harder and it’s all I think about

some days the idea of a binder is euphoria in itself and my imagination is running wild imagining how amazing it would feel to put it on for the first time

to run my hands down my flat chest and wear a shirt, to go out in public

can I inquire, how do I stop my chest from poking out of the sides of my binder ? (the sleeve/armpit area)

You can try wearing a bralette/undershirt underneath that holds things more towards the center if it's stretchy & doesn't have any underwire or real structure to it.

The key there is 1) if that extra fabric makes the binder feel too tight, you gotta size up to layer like that, and 2) if it doesn't work, you definitely need to size up

most importantly a binder should fit so that your chest looks flat; if it's molding to the chest's curves, it's too small.

This is under the assumption that you are using a gc2b, underworks, or a similar style that has a non-stretchy panel in the front. At the end of the day, that style isn't going to be the right fit for everybody. Compression tops like what TomboyX has, or trans tape, are other solid binding options to try out.
