my city elects a "captain" every year who's like a well known local that contributes to the community and they hold a ball as a fundraiser and do some public events etc. this year a beloved book store cat was nominated and the city banded together in a way I've never seen in my 24 years living here to make sure that he absolutely fucking destroyed the competition and became this years captain

I think one of the saddest parts of satosugu that we don't talk about enough is losing your best friend. Like yeah the romantic and physical element to their dynamic but the jokes? The ripping on each other? The laughter that happens at 3 am when you're saying dumb shit to each other and the next day you catch each others eye and reference it and you're bent over laughing over something so dumb.

Losing that person that can make you smile with just their presence, losing that person that understands what you're trying to say when you're tired or in a bad mood because they just KNOW you. That hurts more to me.

In fact I always love the ships where the couple have a short of rivalry going on but at the same time they have to work together and are kind of partners that secretly are found of each other but also can't stay without bickering/fighting for more than 3 seconds
