Astro Observations 1

My first Astro observations post, I would like to confirm that my observations are the niche ways in which a placement may manifest, it is the way I’ve noticed it in others, the people around me, celebrities, myself and in my studies. It is not the doctrine wide broad way the placement occurs for everyone.

Venus in 10th house natives tend to be well known for the person they may date. They tend to date people that really match them physically and can have their relationships idolized by others. The sign it’s under can show what their partners may be known for. This is also a common placement for celebrities because the interest from others in your love life increases your public image, making you more desirable and of interest to everyone including agencies/record labels, they will see your influential potential and love that. Even if you guys don’t date anyone people may have someone in mind who they think matches you or others can just look at you and wonder what your “type” is. Your love life in itself is of interest to others.

Eg. Chris Brown, Johnny Depp, Jimin, Victoria Beckham, Kristen Stewart, Billie Eilish, Kanye West.

Another way Venus 10th housers may manifest is they may have crushes on renowned key figures from history like JFK, Alexander Hamilton, Stalin, Cleopatra, Marilyn Monroe, royal monarchy literally any people of historical significance. (Saturn influence is long lasting and for Venus to be here it can make natives romanticise powerful historical figures)

Pluto 3rd housers can dominate the conversations they have with others so much that they don’t let the other person have their own opinion.

Capricorn Chiron in 6th house makes people feel worthless and terrible if they haven’t been productive for a day, these people don’t like to be lazy, it makes them feel inferior. They put a lot of pressure on themselves to produce and their day routine may be their greatest pride.

10H stellium always have career plans, they like to advance their CV and career prowess for fun, always taking up opportunities. Especially if sun is here.

12H stellium always posting the weirdest stuff that others don’t understand but it has a unique vibe to it that just feels “right” at the same time, they may have this aesthetic that feels eery but overtime enjoyable and something to look forward to because of its uniqueness. I have a 12H stellium friend and they always post pictures of weird random abandoned places with crocs and dirty teddy bears laying in the middle of them. At first I thought it strange but overtime, I look forward to what monstrosity of visuals they will bring next. 12H really does bring out things never seen before. 🤔

Venus in 1H makes you look very feminine, you may style yourself in a feminine manner or have a naturally feminine appearance. Eg. Leo Venus in 1H May have very beautiful feminine looking long hair.

1H Libra Mars has a similar effect as Venus in the 1H however these natives have a hint touch of masculinity, are rather playboy, Casanova and can have a big ego. Think of Flynn rider from tangled. Very pretty boy.

People with 12H Capricorn placements may procrastinate or find difficulty in bringing the planets in there into reality and get frustrated at themselves for it. It’s similar to the planet being in retrograde E.g a 12H Capricorn moon not being able to fully show or act on the way they feel in their head. Look at the house of where Saturn is in your chart to find the topics and how you can bring the energy of your Capricorn 12H planets out.

0 degrees for any planet or asteroid means that you embody that planet/asteroid and its sign in its most pure authentic form. It can make you the epithet of that placement.

Lilith Square Asc makes someone not able to escape looking like a bad boy/girl it always comes out in their appearance without them intending to. They don’t want to present themselves in a way that looks scandalous but at the same time a part of them is and they can’t escape that. It’s like an energy. They’re dynamic and free, they like what they like and that shows in their face and appearance. They also can’t change things about themselves to please others even if they wanted to.

Jupiter 1H usually have big features, like a glossy kind of look to them. It may be big eyes, flushed face, supple puffy skin, wide nose or just have an abundant looking face. I’ve also noticed they tend to have a squared shape face with rounded edges. E.g Hailey Beiber, Abraham Lincoln, Gerard Butler, Aishwarya Rai, Niall Horan, Ashton kutcher, Whitney Houston, Cristiano Ronaldo

Also this is completely random and not astrologically backed up but whenever I think of Jupiter 1H I just think of clear gleaming skin. Perhaps it is backed up astrologically as Jupiter blesses and brings luck to the house it’s in and it being in the 1st rules a natives appearance. Anyways when I think of Jupiter 1st house I always imagine that they don’t need very much makeup they have this glow to them already that cannot be copied.

Virgo ASC style and dress themselves in a way that’s unique for them, for an example they may always have a signature accessory that they wear that only they understand why it’s so important to be worn. E.g. can be a headband, jewellery or hat. They may also be consistent in the way they look, they don’t tend to have “bad days”. In my personal opinion I find Virgo rising men the most attractive. But beauty is in the perspective of the beholder.

Speaking of which, my unpopular opinion is that I don’t believe that a sign or planet can make you more beautiful than another sign E.g like how people say Venus, libra and Taurus is an indicator of being beautiful -I just think that each sign personifies beauty in a different way. In my eyes I see Libra and Venus beauty to be feminine and attractive, but I find Pluto Scorpio beauty to be alluring and intense, magnetic, like Phantom of the opera, like an enchanting vampire that resides in the shadows. I also find Uranus Aquarius beauty to be far more entrancing, striking and even as if the native looks like their from a game fantasy novel or a manga protagonist. I don’t think we can just say “having Venus prominent makes someone more beautiful than others”, perhaps conventionally but not universally. Planets and signs of the first house can show us HOW the beauty is made manifest. It being of Venus, libra influence just kind of makes it feminine or conventionally attractive like butterflies or roses rather than intense or of large magnitude (unless making aspects to magnifying planets like Jupiter)

Aquarius moons can feel a lot of emotions but they’re very good at holding it in. People say that they don’t feel much because the nature of Aquarius being detached however I’ve also seen it occur in a way where the Aquarius moon native may pretend they’re not hurt or sad so that they can keep it pushing and force this happy facade so it hurts less but in reality their just burying the pain deeper. They are kind of avoidant but it makes you feel sorry for them because even if you try to comfort them they don’t even acknowledge the pain themselves so it doesn’t make much of a difference.

Jupiter in 6th house always have action packed days, they spend their days with joy and have a really good time. They usually have their dream day to day life. They’re your one friend that is always doing something interesting, fully booked and loves it.

Jupiter 8H are never strapped for cash, these natives can just be very lucky in getting money from others. Especially if in harmonious aspects with sun, Pluto and Venus. If aspects are negative native still doesn’t worry much but may find that people are a little more hesitant to giving or Jupiter 8H native doesn’t want to ask for it.

Mars 1H makes someone want to work harder on their body by going to the gym, may want to look more manly, aggressive.

Jupiter conjunct moon in 7th house makes you a very passionate lover, anyone who is in a relationship with you can always feel excited and you excel in relationships.

Mercury conjunct ascendant can make someone always think about their goals, plan their next move. They use their minds to get what they want from life and can talk about the principles they apply to themselves which can make them look rather intelligent to others. Can also make someone appear very youthful, not only in appearance but their mannerisms too. Like a dimply smile, blushing and shaking their head when complimented. An animated response.

Moon opposite asc, tends to make a person unable to think clearly when emotions are involved, especially when it’s related to topics in the house your moon is in, like you can look a little mentally unstable here 💀 because your emotions that you show can drastically change from 0-100. moon opp asc also can have a person go against what they want, their principles and approach to life, the opposition forces them to deny their feelings existence in order to act in the way they believe is best. You can even care more about your image than the themes of the moons house.

E.g 7H moon opposite ascendant can make someone care about their image in the relationship, display an image of nonchalance when in reality they’re very protective of their partner. The feelings from their partner and their relationship can be irresistible and make them at times abandon their vices and plans for themselves

The one thing Lando regretted about still racing, was missing time with his family yet there was no greater feeling than this; coming home to them.

It was a Monday, and sure he hadn't slept more than a couple of hours but he could barely contain his excitement as he guided his car down the familiar street to their home. His body ached from the race, but he was still riding the high of his first race win on the season but that wasn't why he was grinning.

Lando was grinning because it was five o'clock which meant both of his children would be home from school. Daniel would be helping Eloise with homework and cooking dinner. Flynn was probably colouring as best as a three year old could, and making faces at Eloise whenever she glanced up from her work.

And to Lando, that was more perfect than the weekend he had had in the car.

He pulled in through their gates, watching them close in the rear-view mirror before continuing to park the car beside Daniel's. The simple black SUV made Lando smile with the memory of Daniel grumbling about it being a dad car when they had bought it.

He left his suitcase in the car, promising himself he'd grab it tomorrow but knowing it'd probably be forgotten until he needed it again after the two week break in races. The walk to the door was short, and Lando couldn't stop smiling as he let himself in and he heard a gasp coming from the dining room.

"Dad? Dad is back!", he could hear Eloise’s excited voice but the bitter patter of little feet had Lando crouching as he prepared for his little boy to come running around the corner.

He just wasn't expecting for his heart ro melt at the sight as Flynn reached the top of the hallway.

"Daddy!", Flynn grinned, little cheeks flushed as he ran forward a little with his arms outstretched.

He was wearing a onesie. One that was shaped and styled like a bear with cream furr, and little round ears on the hood that was pulled up and hiding his curls from sight. He looked just like Daniel with big brown eyes filled with nothing but love and excitement as he stumbled into Lando's arms.

"Hi little man, Daddy missed you", Lando smiled, making Flynn laugh as he kissed his cheeks and blew a little raspberry against one, "Are you dressed as a bear?"

"Yes! 'm a teddy!", Flynn hugged Lando close with little arms clinging to his neck.

"It's all he wanted to wear today", Eloise laughed as she threw her arms around Lando in a tight hug, "Welcome back Dad, we missed you"

Lando felt his eyes well a little as he held his kids close. He pressed a kiss to each of their foreheads, just so in awe that he got to have this life. That he'd been blessed all those years ago with Eloise when he was just a teen, and that he was lucky enough to find his life partner and have another beautiful child with them.

When he looked up, Daniel was watching them with the softest look on his face. His white tshirt splattered with spagetti sauce and his curls ruffled as if he had been running his hand through them moments ago. Probably while trying to help Eloise with a maths problem that he had no clue how to solve.

He looked like love and home and everything that Lando held dear.

"Welcome home baby", Daniel smiled, blowing him a kiss, and Lando felt something settle in his bones.

He was home.

In one of my last post, i showed off Medic and Sniper's Daughter and Engineer and Soldier's Son, so now, here is the background information about the pair, i hope you like it and i will do more pictures of the kids in the future like with my other OCs 😋

Keeping Spirits Bright

Day 16: Tree + Fleggie <=AO3

“I don’t get it,” Reggie declared as they snuggled watching Charlie Brown. “What’s with the aluminum trees?” 

“I guess they were popular when this special came out,” Flynn replied. “I never had one-my dad insisted we get a real one every year. Something about tradition and the environment, because he always planted a new one in its place.” 

“That honestly really sweet,” Reggie replied. 

“Yeah,” Flynn replied, even though it was begrudgingly. She loved her parents, she did, but their hippie tendencies she could have lived without growing up. At least they did let her believe in Santa until a respectable age, and got her the toys she asked for, even though she was positive they would have rather not indulge her love of plastics. “What about you? Did you have a real or fake tree growing up?” 

“I had a menorah,” Reggie replied. “I grew up Jewish, so we celebrate Channukah. No tree for me.” 

“Never?” 

“I mean, once I moved in with the guys they had one, but since Lexie shacked up with Willie and Luke spends pretty much every second at Julie’s place I don’t know if I’m going to bother this year,” Reggie replied. 

“But you have to have a Christmas tree!” Flynn protested. 

“Sugar bear, I only celebrate the holiday with you guys,” Reggie replied. “I really don’t need one.” 

“Well I need one, how about we get one together?” Flynn compromised. “That way, you can enjoy mine.” 

“I can do that for you,” Reggie conceded. “So do you wanna get a bright pink aluminum one?” 

“Seems more like Carrie than me don’t you think?” 

“Well we could go get a fake one,” Reggie suggested. “Probably only a small one, you don’t have a lot of room here. Surprised you don’t have one already.” 

“I do, but it’s falling apart and I was going to get a new one this year regardless,” Flynn confessed. “This is just more motivation.” 

“Well do you wanna head to Walmart then?” Reggie asked. 

“How about a real one?” Flynn asked, biting her lip. “It’s silly, but…I guess Charlie Brown inspired me. I kind of want something…not artificial this year.” 

“I have no idea where to get you a real, honest to goodness Christmas tree,” Reggie confessed. “Do you just like, go out into the woods and chop one down?” 

“I mean you can, but only in certain places,” Flynn recalled. “My dad once wandered into a national park, and it’s only because he planted a new one that the rangers didn’t kill him.” 

They both giggled at that-Reggie could just picture Mr. Taylor trying to explain his way out of that situation. The man was a sweetheart, but also a teddy bear when it came to confrontation. 

“I think there’s farms you can go to?” Flynn finally said once their laughter had died down. “Pick whichever one you want and they chop it down for you.” 

“Well I can chop down a tree,” Reggie supplied. “I grew up on a farm, I do actually know how to use an axe.” 

“My rugged man,” Flynn teased. “How about I do some research and this weekend we can go check it out? And then if we don’t find one-we’ll go to Walmart.” 

“Sounds good to me,” Reggie replied. “Now, let’s see if Snoopy wins that contest.” 

The next weekend, bundled up-and looking quite chic in Flynn’s case, they went to the tree farm. It was more a well lit lot than a copse of trees, but it was the closest one that didn’t involve a multi hour drive. 

“Well, is there a certain type of tree you want?” Reggie asked as they walked through the selection. “There’s pine and fir, but I really don’t know the difference.” 

“Neither do I,” Flynn admitted. “I just want one that’s green and full-ish. Plus that will fit in my little living room.” 

“Well we can get a smaller one and just cut off the top if you want,” Reggie replied. “Though that seems like a waste of a tree.” 

“And I don’t think we’ll have the option of planting a new one here,” Flynn agreed. 

“We’ll go do that in the spring,” Reggie assured her. “I found a nice organization that does that sort of thing, right in time for our anniversary.” 

“I love that.” 

They kept walking, but most of the trees they came across were too large, and way out of their price range, so they went towards the discount section. None of them were as sad as the one Charlie Brown picked up, but they were still fairly sad looking. 

That is until they came across a small pine that had a lush, full top, but the bottom was fairly bedraggled. “That’ll work,” Reggie commented. He pulled out his axe-the lot owner was fine with them chopping down their own, but it meant they also had to tie it up and transport it to the truck themselves. But Reggie haggled a cut in the price for that, and Flynn loved a good bargain, so it endangered him to her even more. 

A few chops and the tree was felled, with Reggie giving a dramatic call of “Timber!” with a cheeky grin as he did. Flynn shook her head, but it was still sexy as hell to see him work that axe. Especially as he chopped the top of the tree off, handing it to her. “You get that part, I’m going to take the bottom to the front for the owner.” 

Flynn screwed her face, glad she was wearing cheap gloves that she could toss if they got sap on them. Thankfully the tree was light, but she was still glad when the truck came into view, stashing it away as Reggie paid. 

It didn’t take long to set up-thankfully they had thought to buy a stand ahead of time, and Flynn had a small set of baubles to decorate it with. Reggie was a little confused about the garland, and scowled at the tangle of lights, but soon enough the tree looked glorious and they sat back to admire it while the fireplace channel crackled on the television. 

“I didn’t think it was such a bad little tree,” Reggie joked. 

Flynn rolled her eyes, but snuggled in, warm and happy in the tree’s glow, safe and loved in Reggie’s arms, and really what more could she ask for?

When Flynn finally gets to see Dallas in the hospital he’s bringing her a teddy bear, some flowers, her favourite candy.

They’re all discarded at the end of the bed when he sees her.

He’s hugging her so tightly “I miss you”

He holds her little hand “Is ok… we’ll just sit”

Do you have any Calynn headcanons?

Other than the stoic x idiot trope not much. As a multi-shipper (which is especially apparent for skylanders 💀) I actually also like idiot x excitable, so Flynn x Tessa.

But I do have specific headcannons.

Flynn is used to shallow compliments like "Wow you're amazing!" And obviously "the best pilot in all of skylands" doesn't phase him in the slightest. Aim a little deeper however and he'll get flustered or at the very least confused. (Like yeah he's good but you're calling his smile cute and that's not what he meant.)

Cali is stoic yet optimistic. Compliments from Flynn don't tend to phase her either tbh. He does it so often (usually in a self-serving manner), that she's become indifferent. Like Flynn, however, the compliments have to go deeper than shallow remarks to have a lasting affect on Cali.

HUGS! FLYNN LIKES HUGS! Come on, I mean look at him!! He's built like a teddy bear. Course he'd never hug Cali himself, that'd make him look "available" as he says.

Whilst I don't see Cali as a hugger Tessa takes that role easily, I can see her giving Flynn a one-armed hug and him nervously holding back from throwing himself at her.

Cali would give cheek kisses. She'd probably pull that "Good luck", smooch cheek, walk away move and leave Flynn extremely confused and flustered.

I'd say Flynn has no actual experience with "the ladies". So he does not know how to kiss someone.

Contrastingly, I think Cali does have experience. She looks well-rounded enough tbh. It's moreso that she doesn't commit to doing anything romantic that often. Either that or Flynn's annoyed her too much.

Before getting together Cali probably had a whole repetitive cycle of going: "Oh he's kinda cute." To which Flynn insinuates that she's flirting with him and she takes that thought back so fast.

There were a lot of submissions for "official" princes, and while they won't be entered into the tournament, I thought instead of having these comments turn to bubbles, it would be nice to share what people had to say on them! (It's kinda long so I'm putting it under read more), but here is-

AU. Flynn has fun! Something is happening in the safe house that night and everyone tries all sorts of ways to find out what it is. Only Flynn and Dave know the answer. And what about those underpants? Introducing FlamBam! Includes Teddy bears! A ‘demonstration’ with a difference! Who likes dark chocolate coconut macaroons? With so little to amuse them, sometimes you never know what to expect next. Dave Baumgardner is in on the fun. Consensual protected sex. Suggestive sexual thoughts/comments/innuendo.

Dave gave a very broad smile, nodded and chuckled.

Carrie was ready to pull her hair out. Not that this particular assignment was all that hard, just tedious as hell. Whose idea was it to require all senior’s to write a 12 page research paper in order to graduate anyway? 

On top of all the other courses and music program requirements Carrie barely had the time for it. Effectively losing some of her precious weekend time in order to get it done. 

She was staring at the document on her laptop frustrated that certain words were no longer looking like words. Was monotonous always spelled that way? And was the spell check absolutely certain complete wasn’t misspelled? Her thoughts were interrupted by a rhythmic knocking on her bedroom door. 

Which could only really be one person. 

Her dad would typically knock just the once before trying to talk to her through the door. Julie and Flynn would have texted, and wouldn’t just be showing up at her bedroom without some sort of ruckus at the front door first. 

“I don’t have time right now, Reggie.” She called out, holding back a groan at finding a sentence that made absolutely no sense.

“Oh, but I miss you.” Reggie said, poking his head and shoulders through her door. “Feels like I haven’t seen you in weeks.” 

“You saw me last weekend.”

“Yeah, at Eats and Beats for another open mic night.” His voice moved to behind her where the bed was. She glanced up to her mirror in time to see him dive onto her bed, face torn between a smile and a pout. “And we didn’t exactly get to hang out before you had to run off again.”

“I’ve had a lot of homework.” She said returning her focus to her paper, even if she struggled with writing and talking at the same time. “Speaking of, I really need to focus on this.”

“Want some help?” He cheerily asked and she bit back her smile. She’s not sure she’s ever going to get used to how much he wanted to just spend time with her. Especially now that she was also in on the ghost secret and they weren’t restricted to the studio anymore. 

“If this was physics or Calculus I would take you up on that offer in a heartbeat.” She said, almost wishing she still had homework in either of those subjects so could switch over to it. 

“Maybe I can just hang out until you're done?”

Carrie sent a glare his way through the mirror. Or attempted to anyway, the look lost some of its edge when she was met by his hopeful smile. “Fine. But don’t distract me and stay out of my stuff.”

He was quick to promise her with a bright smile and a giddy little bounce on her bed. She returned to her work with a small eye roll, and a small smile she couldn’t hide. 

True to his word he kept to himself, though he wasn’t entirely quiet. Quietly muttering and making small noises. Carrie was able to ignore them for the most part, figuring he must be reading or something.

After an hour or so Carrie stretched her arms up over her head, finally content with what she had for her paper. As she did so her eyes drifted back to the mirror and spotted Reggie still on her bed. On her bed and using one of her teddy bears as if it was a puppet, reenacting some sort of fight scene. 

“I thought I said not to go through my stuff.” She said, spinning around in her seat to fully face him.

“I didn’t.” Reggie’s smile faltered slightly.  “This little guy was sitting with your pillows.”

She scowled, not so much at him but at the fact she forgot she’d left the teddy bear out. Though she struggled to stay upset for very long especially with how Reggie was now making the bear in question do a little happy dance. 

“You done with homework?”

“For now.” She said as she joined him on the bed, barely remembering to not try to take hold of his hand. The fact she still couldn’t touch him was still a bit of a struggle. 

Both of their smiles faltered slightly when Carrie’s phone chimed. She groaned seeing the message from Julie, asking if Reggie was with her. Apparently Luke had some breakthrough and absolutely needed the band back this instant. She was half tempted to not even let Reggie know since they barely spent any actual time together. 

“Guess I gotta go.” He said after she let him know. A bizarre bittersweet flutter took over her heart seeing how hesitant he was to return to his band.  Quickly he tapped the teddy bear’s muzzle to her cheek. “I’ll see you later.”

He vanished away with her gasp of breath, leaving her to wonder if the gesture was intentional. She pulled the teddy bear into a tight hug, burying her face in the top of its fuzzy head, sort of hoping he had meant it to be a surrogate kiss. Feeling that sting of jealousy as she wished she could hug him as easily as Julie could.

This week’s Monday Philm is one that every time I watch it, I remember that it is probably my favorite movie ever: Doubt (2008), dir. John Patrick Shanley. I’m a sucker for a stage-to-screen adaptation, I love melodramas, it’s one of the first PSH movies I ever saw (my first Monday Philm, before I wrote these little reviews!), and, of course, hot priest Phil.

Tonight I watched it with the commentary track by writer and director John Patrick Shanley. After the first few minutes I thought, is it possible that listening to a commentary could make me like one of my favorite films less? but it greatly improved once JPS got past recounting his childhood as a Catholic schoolboy beat-by-beat and talked more about the filmmaking. Even already knowing that Doubt is partly based on his experiences, it is neat just how many details from his life he packed into this film—he knew a priest with “disturbingly” long fingernails!

A few of the biggest revelations from his commentary:

Phil was sick as a damn dog with one of those awful, dragging colds the entire time they filmed the “Frosty the Snowman” office scene with Meryl and Amy. JPS said he was lying around practically comatose between takes (which, I suppose, is better than when he was vomiting in a bucket off-camera while filming Almost Famous with the flu).

They filmed in New York in December and January, and the garden scene between Father Flynn and Amy Adams’ Sister James was shot when it was 15 degrees out! No wonder JPS said Phil always looked like he was in pain on set!!!!

Speaking of the garden scene—Shanley mentioned that one of the potential inspirations for that scene was Shakespeare’s Richard III, when the murderer seduces his victim’s widow. That reading certainly puts Father Flynn in a certain light! This scene is a kind of seduction, JPS says, Flynn goes there with the intention of convincing Sister James of his innocence, and he does.

On the other hand, in the final fight between Father Flynn and Meryl Streep’s Sister Aloysius (The Final Boss Battle), when she asks if Flynn gave Donald Miller the wine and he tearfully denies it, JPS whispers, “I must say, when Phil says no, I believe him.” He mentions that he and Phil had a conversation about the character’s background, but he doesn’t know where Phil took it beyond that—so really Phil was the only person who knew the truth. The rest of us, as they say, will always have doubts!

Also two great special features on the Blu-Ray, including Doubt: Stage to Screen, which consists of talking head interviews with the adult cast, including some cute photos and behind-the scenes footage (filmed the same day as the Synecdoche, New York special features lol). There’s also a really fun press interview with Viola, Meryl, PSH, and Amy—Phil is in full teddy bear mode and quite funny, and he bashfully tells a sweet story about Meryl. His cute little set crushes that never go away. Between this and Synecdoche (and even The Savages), it’s clear how much Phil shines and truly enjoys his work when he’s surrounded by incredibly talented actresses.

I barely talked about the movie but! It’s gorgeous, cinematographically one of my favorite films to just LOOK at, I love the Dutch angles, Amy Adams we WILL get you your Oscar, the child actors are wonderful, Howard Shore’s scores can do no wrong, I couldn’t be an actor (for many reasons but mainly) because if Phil OR Meryl yelled at me like that under any circumstance I would cry.

Meryl said Phil is one of her favorite people she’s ever worked with in her life and she wants to work with him a thousand more times ❤️

Most of the kids were too young to really understand Valentine's Day, but Yuri still made it a point to make them chocolates. To them it was just a fun day. Yuri made it a little more special for them by making small shapes out of the chocolates - teddy bear faces, cat faces, dog faces, bird faces. Of course, he always had to make enough of each type lest the kids fought over their favorites.

When he was finished making sure all the kids were satisfied with their haul and nobody was to start wrestling over who got more chocolate, he pulled the last batch off the counter that was small heart shapes instead. After slowly shuffling the pieces off the pan into the plate, he turned and went right to Flynn, holding up the plate of pieces separately made for him. "And these are yours!"

Flynn had been shooed out of the kitchen hours ago when Yuri began his mission to make the children chocolates for Valentine's Day. Despite how badly Flynn wanted to help, someone needed to keep the children from sneaking into the kitchen for a peek. So, he spent the time playing games with the children, playing pretend sword fighting with a couple of sticks the children had found.

Time passed rather quickly and soon, Yuri arrived with his labor in chocolate and the sticks were long forgotten in favor of the chocolates that Yuri provided. Flynn smiled as they all giggled in glee as he practically gravitated towards Yuri's side, watching him distribute the sweets.

And then, once the chocolates are all gone, Flynn turns to Yuri when he waltzes up to him, smiling and about to praise Yuri for another job well done in the kitchen when suddenly he's met with a plate of heart shaped chocolates. He blinks dumbly for a moment as he, almost like on autopilot, takes the plate from Yuri's hands and glances down at the chocolates.

"For me too?" Flynn asked, mentally slapping himself for the dumb question. And then, he quietly takes one of the chocolates and slips it into his mouth.

As usual, Yuri's skill for making sweets did not disappoint.

His smile is shy as he hums in approval, chewing the chocolate thoroughly before swallowing. "Thank you, Yuri. They're delicious." He chuckles quietly, taking a small glance at the children, who had run off to play some more after eating their chocolate.

No doubt they would be hyper before too long so Flynn knew he only had a limited time to enjoy Yuri's present. Glancing over, he smiled. "How about we share? It's only fair that you get to eat some of what you made."

He would lean back and offer the boy a piece of the chocolate, ignoring the blossoming warmth in his chest as he planned on a return present to give to Yuri in the following month.

Gnomes are thriving this time of year. They’ve made little circles in the town’s green spaces, and are putting on cute little dances for anyone who wants to watch. Nothing wrong with that, except it’s drawing in the stymphalian birds who want to eat them. Watch out for that guano.

In preparation for an upcoming film festival, local filmmaker Marigoold Quinn is holding auditions for her latest project. This cinematic adaptation of Goo Girl by Goolian Flynn is already the talk of the town and it's rumored one Mackenzie Ross will be its star. Anyone interested in working on this surely Oscar worthy movie should head over to art studio next door to Another Castle to audition for their part.
