I NEED TO KNOW MORE ABOUT YOUR VERSION OF KELSEY AND DEVON

OKAY SO it's a little crazy to explain but just stick with me.

Kelsey and Devon are from my "Terror Tales" side au, where the book anthology stories are episodes of a show. Goosebumps style! Each episode has its protagonist and it's monster, with the two always being drawn to each other to complete their story.

In the canon of Kelsey's story, Kelsey is an embodiment of karma that exists to bring out the worst in his targets, testing them by embodying everything they envy and ramping up their emotions to see if they'll attempt to hurt him. if they do, he'll "die" and return whatever was done to him onto his target in an act of poetic justice before showing up again somewhere else. If they resist, Kelsey respects that and leaves them alive. He believes he's "weeding out the bad apples" before they can become adults and hurt people. Balancing the scales if you will.

Devon is just your average frustrated antisocial weirdo high school boy, unsure how to express himself in a productive way and unhappy with his lot in life. All he can do is fixate on what others have, and seethe. He's the perfect target! Someone with every potential to lash out, just needing a push. He's also a deeply DEEPLY closeted kid and Kelsey is basically rattling the doorknob to the closet door and it's freaking him the hell out!!!

They're doomed of course, Kelsey's affections are only surface level, a part of his act. Devon's feelings could never be returned if Kelsey wanted to. But at the same time they're so entwined and drawn to each other... they exist to kill each other, acting out the story as many times as you bother to watch it. It's so awesome and nobody wins!!

now that i think about it, Devon actually would enjoy ripping mangled Julius to shreds

For, Julius might be a sadistic bully but Devon with an axe would enjoy the fight, it would make sense for Devon to hate Julius since he's an asshole and Devon did kinda laugh at Kelsey's death(though, he regrets it) I'm just picturing Devon doing this because he fighting for his life but also get some hype from it since Julius is losing because Julius was an asshole and Devon is just.....devon.

He literally wrote fanfic about Heather's sisters dying and killing a bird along with acting nonchalant by that means, so would it be a surprise if he got a kick out of fighting mangled Julius? (He seems like that person though...)

(Julius had his bones broken, he's too broken to grasp and I'm sure being hit with an axe multiple times would put him down)

Devon is fighting for his life while having the time of life battling Julius(somebody please draw this lmao)
