These audio animatronic puffins called Maelstrom their home until 2014, when it closed to make way for Frozen Ever After. Luckily for them, they survived the transition and still are living happy lives in the finale of the new Norwegian attraction!

Future World fibre optic floor lights: Epcot (????-2019)

Propaganda:I AM SO FERAL ABOUT THIS AND WILL NEVER FORGIVE THEM FOR TAKING THESE OUT. Apparently at the newly open world celebration area, or whatever generic ass boring garden area took the place of Future World, there are some lame LED floor lights, but they apparently were malfunctioning the first week 🤪 It ain't got NOTHING on these! These babies were so magical, they seem simple, but as a kid, and heck even as an adult they brought me so much joy, but as a kid, this was pure disney magic! It will never be the same leaving Epcot and not having twinkling tinkerbell like lights on your path out 😭 Its the little things like this that made such a difference and is disappearing in the parks 😭

The Great Mouse Detective

Chef Daisy Duck was greeting in the World Showcase today at Epcot. She, along with Mickey and Goofy (also dressed as chefs), can sometimes be found during the first few days of the International Food & Wine Festival to celebrate.

She's an icon of Walt Disney World in every outfit she wears, imo 🤩.

Disney’s EPCOT cast-member cultural exchange, Japan day.♥️🇯🇵

We played games, won prizes, learned songs and dances, how to write our names in kanji, and how to properly put on a kimono.

I hope we end up doing all the Pavilions in World Showcase, so far we’ve experienced Mexico and Japan.

I chose my stickers with Usagi in mind. A katana, a Kappa and a cute sushi.

China Pavilion at Epcot

In December 2024, Epcot's Germany pavilion introduced a solar-powered trash compactor alongside a standard recycling bin. The compactor's increased capacity reduced the frequency of emptying, making it ideal for high-traffic areas. The lack of a World Showcase plaque suggested it might be a temporary test. This was confirmed in February 2025 when the compactor was replaced with a standard World Showcase trash can.
