Irwin and I both rank Pete/Peg Leg Pete among our favorite Disney characters. While it made us a little sad that there was Pete wasn't in the park, nor were there any Pete plushes available (come on, Disney!), Pete's Silly Sideshow was one of our favorite stops! After the rides and exploring the park, this was one of the last things we did that day.

And while the displays outside the big top were neat, it was who we met inside that proved to be the big adventure! It's Donald and Goofy! Yay!

Goofy was particularly pleased to meet Irwin! He didn't even know Duffy Bear was a Disney character! Lots of people at the park actually asked about Irwin, so maybe more people will want Duffy and friends in the U.S. parks!

We ended the day with fireworks and a plushie haul, and I'll be back tomorrow to show Happily Ever After!

- There was almost a Dumbo 2!

- Dumbo is the only lead character in a Disney film not to speak

Some Native American (possibly Cahuilla, but the sign said they weren't sure) petroglyphs at Joshua Tree national park. The colorful ones were painted over or fabricated by Disney to make them stand out more while filming a movie in the 60s, and there's no way to remove it without damaging the originals. The non-colorful ones near the bottom are authentic. There are thousands more throughout the park, but they're off the main trails and not marked on the map to keep them safe from more vandalism.
