Not to be shippy on main but why does everyone go in for tsundere fx and "nuisance to society" jy when their every interaction screams the opposite. Fx is logical and realistic enough to be more than well-acquainted with how she feels and is extremely devoted to her work (and subsequently the general) and on the opposite hand jy is incredibly selfless and caring towards her (literally the first time they met he told her he'd take the blame when she suggested they frickin commit a war crime in order to win the Abundance War). Like yeah teasy jy is amusing or whatever but realistically that wouldn't be in the droves y'all think it would and fx would probably laugh at it the few times it might happen more than she'd get all tsundere-y about it

She's not emotional. That's the difference. She doesn't have emotional outbursts. She's extremely calm and rational and she's dealt with jy for more than long enough to become extremely used to his antics and she wouldn't take them nearly so seriously.

They're PINERS. They're pining and it's obvious. They watch each other from across the room when they think the other isn't looking and they leave each other nice little notes at work because both of them overwork themselves and need breaks. I am COOKING here

A follow up from this poll.

Honestly surprised by the results. I thought everyone was gonna invent a talisman peak for WWX, though talisman peak seems to have gotten the silver.

Bronze is a tie between LQG and GQG? Okay, if we’re gonna kill LQG as per PIDW canon, I can see it, but won’t he get caught immediately? Or is it gonna be the qi deviation’s fault again?

Also, GQG!WWX is gonna have to live like a Lan, except bald and round like a Buddha statue, though I guess if he’s in seclusion he won’t get found out, but he needs to help fix the plot. And this is good training for when he marries LWJ.

Scumcumplane is tied for fourth place. I wasn’t gonna include them at first, but I wanted more leeway in case anyone looks for them.

Because SY gets his own body (I really like beast peak SY), SJ will be directing WWX as his system. No idea how this one will turn out.

Similarly, SQH!WWX will be directed by airplane where WWx clocks SQH and MBJ’s big gay crushes on each other and decides to kill time with matchmaking since he’s not gonna be in SQH’s body forever.

Fifth place is the Zui Xian PL, which makes sense, but also think about the angst potential of WWX brewing Uncle Four’s wine.

Sixth place is YQY and QQQ. If it’s PIDW, SJ will know immediately that this is not YQY and will probably work together with WWX to get him back (after a lot if bargaining and convincing). The other peak lords might also start thinking that SJ is manipulating YQY more overtly.

I… don’t know what will happen if WWX becomes QQQ, but this will most likely be crack. He might get surprised by the amount of near raunchy romance novels produced by Xian Shu Peak… then LMY comes to him for help with her writing…

Last place is MQF. Y’all really didn’t want to give WWX the mustache.

None of the characters in Honkai Star Rail have confirmed birthdays, except March if you want to count the day she was found as her birthday. This kind of makes sense in the game's context. Time doesn't work the same across all of space, and it's likely that every world uses a different calendar unless otherwise standardized by the IPC's Amber Eras (which aren't even consistent with each other to begin with), besides the moot point of a singular date being pretty insignificant to most of the universe in the grand scheme of existence.

However, I really like Genshin Impact's birthday mail sending you messages and gifts from the roster of playable characters. It's a shame HSR doesn't do that. The closest we've gotten to that is the mail where Silver Wolf "hacked" servers to send out 10 fuel to all players, but that was more so for shits and giggles as part of her promotional campaign during her banner.

What I'm trying to say is that I've now unofficially declared February 16th (or the 17th depending on your timezone) to be Yanqing's birthday. That's the day his Character Introduction was posted on Hoyolab, so that's kind of like the day he was "born" and introduced to us. And if that was the day he was found by the General Jing Yuan, that could make for a sad and joyful story too, what with being days after Yuanxiao/the Lantern Festival... I'm cooking, let me sit on this.

So! Here's the plan. There are eight Zhu Yilong figures and nine boxes, each with some stickers and washi tape. The ninth box is just Nendoll accessories, but there's far more that will go to that buyer than is pictured--most of the accessories are at my mom's place, and I have to go get them. There's also the little catboy figure, which will be put in a box at random. Each box is $50 USD.

Gotta write some dynamics about the selfship AU, the scribe!AU if I might (I'm sorry in advance)

The scribe: Mao Qian is like a cat, a fleeting presence with few friends and wary of strangers. Used to work under the previous general (Teng Xiao) before Jing Yuan.

Dedicated worker and stubborn like a mule, her severe problem with accepting change will make her do anything to keep things as they are (it also makes her a slightly mean boss).

Has an insane memory spanning almost a millenium of minuscule details, the only reason she's not mara-struck yet is probably a higher "storing capability" than most.

The almost illegible handwritting of the unquestionably fastest writer can look better at the cost of speed.

Her lungs never worked right, so she fights on the defense.

Despite her limited and rude vocabulary she chose to become a scribe, she truly believed conflict can be solved with words.

With Jing Yuan: they've met each other as children and exchanged their fates on a whim, his ulterior motive of "escaping boredom" eventually became plain curiosity about his new friend.

They're quite fond of each other, but Jing Yuan won't make a fuss if she vanishes into thin air like those who did before; wanting her to stay regardless leaves him quite conflicted.

Isn't attached to the past, but Mao Qian keeps track of everything, so he always listens to the relayed memories like a fairytale; the sentimentalism is contagious.

Mao Qian doesn't think of him as particularly moral or virtuous, but rather as considerate; Jing Yuan thinks the exact opposite about her. Both seem to like that about each other.

Always wanted to pry her thoughts open as if it were a hobby, so he's mostly aware of what she feels, even that which should be private.

Despite having a silver tongue he's realized that there are conflicts that can't be solved with words alone.

With Yanqing: she had a sour, wrinkly face reserved for new people when the general came back cradling a baby on his arms.

Avoided this new kid like the plague, as with many others before him, but eventually gets the guts to scold him regularly.

Yanqing saw "that woman who's always sticking with the general" as akin to a monolith quietly watching over everything, so he found her rather unnerving.

After overcoming first impressions, he now views this standoffish person as a honest and protective mother figure, more so than Jing Yuan as a father figure.

Seeks her out whenever he wants something... except for a sparring session, she's got the money, not the stamina.

He's developing an acute sense for what's on the scribe's mind lately, to her dismay.
