just curious about p-shifting. if you don’t mind me asking, how would one go about beginning the p-shifting journey?

Ah, my first ask! Alright, this might be a tad bit long, so sorry if it's missing something important.

To begin your p-shifting journey, most shapeshifters recommend finishing mental shifting, which is basically the ability to shift your mindset into one of an animals. I haven't even p-shifted yet, but I've had a few experiences getting close to doing it, with the help of a forced guided meditation.

If you arent aware yet, shapeshifting is similar to avians and mermaids - it is a lifelong dedication, and can take years to complete. The most important part of ever starting out is learning more about the topic at hand (so you will have to do your research!) And figuring out what you are. When I first started I believed I was a fox with wings because of a spell my sister found. As I learned more, more options became available to me and I eventually settled on a cougar, which has been something I've stuck to for about three years now.

The main method most people who want to p-shift into an animal use PhmP, or mental, phantom, and physical.

To p-shift, you have to shift everything - mental, phantom, astral, metaphysical, etc. And the method that has been used by people from the past has been proven to work, which is why it is still taught to younger members.

I emphasize the fact in learning as much as you can about shapeshifting, the different methods available to you, theories, databases, and more so that you have a good understanding of what you are getting into.

In the end p-shifting is a goal that most shapeshifters and others alike want, and some of us may decide we are happy not to p-shift at all, or find out we are actually humans, or are just therians instead. During this time it will be a huge learning curve for many, and be honest with yourself. Ask yourself hard questions and try new things if you can.

I can't promise you your journey will be short, for some it can be as short as a year, and some it can be over 5 years. It all depends on your dedication, persistence, and really just experimenting.

A lot of places that are good for finding information is on sites that are hosted from FreeWebs, (now known as Webs), the old google sites, old pack sites, amino, and maybe some other places if you can find any. You may find a bit just from looking up "how to become a werewolf", or some old pack names.

What would you think if an evilized villain (maybe a wishmaker-like villain or maybe even a villain that's unrelated to the butterfly miraculous) caused Chloe and Zoe to switch bodies somehow, and nobody fully understands what's going on, so Zoe (in Chloe's body) is taken by Audrey back to New York, despite Zoe desperately trying to explain things. But Chloe enters a fugue state (heavily due to trauma caused by the neglect of her parents) and genuinely thinks she's Zoe, and is even able to recall many of the things Zoe did due to being in Zoe's body. The class thinks “Zoe's” change in behavior is due to the psychological effects of method acting, since “Zoe” is playing Chloe in Astruc's new movie, but they gradually convince “Zoe” to let them help her relearn how to be “herself” again. Meanwhile, in New York, Zoe is trying to get back to Paris, but when she gets there, “Zoe” thinks she’s there to try to hurt Marinette.

Eventually, after listening to “Chloe”, Marinette starts to suspect that “Chloe” might be telling the truth, so she decides that she must test “Chloe” and “Zoe”. She fakes being in danger to see how they react. “Zoe” reacts slightly faster than “Chloe”, so Marinette comes to the conclusion that “Chloe” is lying and that “Chloe” has an evil and manipulative plan. Marinette thinks that “Chloe” must have picked up a few tricks from Lila, because she thinks no version of Chloe could possibly react faster than Zoe when it comes to protecting her. So Audrey takes “Zoe” back to New York again to “correct” her after “Zoe” fails to convince anyone of the truth.

10 years later, “Zoe” gets seriously injured after fighting a villain when Ladybug isn’t around, which causes “Zoe” to not have long to live. Then Ladybug accidentally stumbles upon the truth about “Zoe” while trying to help “Zoe” using magical powers. Ladybug decides that the moral thing to do is to switch Chloe and Zoe back to their original bodies. Once Zoe gets her body back, she blames Chloe for her impending death and for leaving her with 10 years of torment, while Chloe got off scot-free. When Lila gets defeated, Zoe steals the Butterfly Miraculous to get her hands on Ladybug and Catnoir’s miraculouses, hoping to “make things right”. Zoe gets defeated by the heroes (including Chloe) and Ladybug manages to cure Zoe’s injuries.

So my first thought was "I've seen this before." And I went and searched the miraculous server I'm in (Miraculous Writers' Circle), but it wasn't there, so I asked and apparently other people on Tumblr got it? So I searched and apparently mine is more evolved? Which is wild.

I'm not sure where I, personally, would take the concept, should I be the one to write it? Maybe it would all be a dream 🤷‍♀️ I kind of think they should have a better way of telling the two of them apart and verifying who is who.

Chloé!Zoe might have reacted faster in realization that she was into Marinette the whole time she was bullying her. Or because she was Queen Bee.

I'm also wondering how it took 10yrs for them to realize that if they chalked Chloé!Zoe's behavior up to method acting but she retained the behavior after the film.

I went back and read the prompt, and I'm getting so mixed up on who is meant to be where with the quotation marks, I'm not going to lie. I think where it gets confusing is when it says Audrey is taking her back to New York. Because if "Zoe" was taken to New York, how is "Zoe" the one getting injured and now dying, when it was meant to be Zoe!Chloé being sent to New York, and Chloé!Zoe staying behind and being injured?

When it comes to Ladybug believing it moral to switch them back, she has to realize that they've both settled into their new lives. It's been 10yrs. Unless they have both agreed, it's really not her place. They could have fallen in love, gotten married, had kids, etc. And now they're losing that because she said it was "moral" to switch them back? That's not her call to make at that point. They've lived 10yrs. Maybe they miss their own bodies and names, but they've adjusted and made lives for themselves within their new roles. Unless all of that magically transfers with them to the new bodies, she'll be disrupting more lives by putting them back than if she left them as they were. So I'm not really sure of the morality aspect being a good reason.

And then, does Chloé ever get her memories back? Or is she just a knock-off Zoe for 10yrs and then put in a body she has no memories of? Does putting her back give her memories back? Did she get them back sometime during the 10yrs?

I would be curious to see this written. But i genuinely don't know how I feel about it 🤣

but then Jason's just quietly doing his own thing, maybe even helping Alfred with some chores, reading, or just lounging about in the manor. In general, just causing no trouble and Bruce just turns to Alfred, all worried like, "Is he sick? I don't think children are supposed to behave this way."
