Do not feel bad for being posted to SystemsCringe or FakeDisorderCringe. These people don't know anything about you or how you think, feel, or experience. I just saw a fakedisordercringe post full of people calling systems with hypersexual littles "pedophiles" and "age players" for it and I'm perplexed
First of all, littles are not actually children. Would you call an adult alter in a minor systems body an adult? I'd sure hope not. Alter age doesn't come before physical age. An adult in a minor system cannot do adult things, and a little in an adult system can do adult things. Second, hypersexuality isn't willingly being really sexual, it's a common trauma response, and it doesn't wait till you're 18 to kick in. They downvoted someone who said this?? Obviously a minor shouldn't share if they're hypersexual for safety reasons, but that wasn't even brought up in the post. It was just about hypersexuality in systems, and littles being included in that
Let's not call trauma survivors pedophiles for having a normal trauma response, yeah?? We're shaming people for normal things now?? Jfc

r/fdc is so funny because there are posts that have captions like “17yo with a disorder” “40yo? 40 years of faking more like” with a photo of an intro post that literally just says “hi I’m ___ I have ___ and I like ___” and there is no other context for why they’re assumed to be faking.
These people are genuinely posting “this person has a disorder so they are FAKING”. Who the fuck does have the disorder then Jeremy???? Can you name a single person????Are you having an existential crisis over whether disorders exist????
Quality entertainment if you’re stable enough. Look after yourselves <3

Developed a nasty habit recently of scrolling through fake claiming subreddits (y'all know the ones) and I've noticed quite a bit of bullshit. So here's a list of things that apparently mean you're faking, but are actually just regular activities you might do and correlate or relate to your experience as a system or autistic. I'm also going to give my argument against them in the bullet points. (These are mostly about traumagenic systems but I also mention autism)
1- using dancing as stimming. My reasoning this is wrong is that stims are "repetitive body movements or repetitive movements of objects" and people stim for different reasons. Even neurotypical folk stim. Reasons folk may stim include, but are not limited to sensory reinforcement or stimulation, to regulate sensory input by increasing or decreasing sensory overload, etc. Dancing is a good example of this. It is a repetitive body movement often used to reinforce sensory input or, in my personal situation, increase sensory input when I feel like I need more stimulation. Let me guess, it only counts as stimming when it's violently flapping your arms and fitting into an ableist stereotype, huh?
2- "strange" names. Why should I even argue here? This is just transphobia rewrapped as "calling out fakers." My name is Richie. That is not a strange name, is it? Would I be fake claimed for being an alter? (Probably but not for this.) If my name were Arson, if course I would. However, I chose my name. Many alters/ headmates do. We are individuals and we are allowed to change things about ourselves as we please and this does not suddenly make us fake systems.
3- using neopronouns or multiple pronouns. Same as above. I'm not re-explaining that part. Also plays into ableism. This is why I'd be fakeclaimed. I use he/wolf pronouns (and some others). I'm a man and I highly identify with wolves due to my innerworld self. We are autistic as well and many of us have cat neopronouns due to our special interest in felines and warrior cats. Our brain is wired differently than neurotypical folks in multiple ways and the way we connect to gender and the world is perceived by us in a way different to others, hence us being transgender. Due to our high interest in cats and the fact it ties into most aspects of our life, we ended up identifying with them on a gender level as well.
4- having animal alters. This is a noted thing in DID systems. Do your research before fakeclaiming, jeez. Or just don't fakeclaim.
5- Being alterhuman in any way. Alterhumanity is a thing. Some people are alterhuman. Some people are also systems. There is going to be overlap.
6- Having any fictives from "recent" media. The definition on recent is loose to them. Is Bambi recent? We have a Bambi fictive. Is he too recent for you? Or maybe our fictives from warrior cats are too recent. Fictives exist sometimes, especially in autistic and ADHD systems.
7- having factives. At all. Even though factives are a noted thing in psychology? My therapist has brought up factives (not by that term) without me bringing them up.
8- having littles. Or not having littles. This is confusing to me. I see them mock littles for being too adult but also for being childish! How do you want them to act, then? And when a system doesn't have any littles, somehow this means they are lying about having trauma in childhood.
9- Experiencing a headspace in any capacity. Yes, even just daydreaming one. This is a therapy technique actually taught to systems to help us communicate internally. It's a thing many of us build on our own, in order to communicate. This is normal. It is a noted thing in DID research.
10- you have a singletsona. DID is a covert disorder. It is a common thing to have a single being the whole system masks as. This is normal and cited in research on DID.
11- you don't have a singletsona. Some people want to exist as themselves. This is also normal in DID, especially in those who are aware of their system and are working on communication and healing.
12- you have any online presence. Disabled people exist. Get over it.
13- you talk openly about being a system. Ever. Apparently being open about this part of our life is bad.
14- you haven't been diagnosed. This one pisses me off a lot. Was my mom's cancer not cancer before she was diagnosed with it?

Are you faking? And if so are you a Bad Person?
For this post I want to ignore those who fake having DID for popularity ie DissocaDID or people who admit they don't have the disorder ie transDID
So, most people that are accused of faking on an online platform are said to be misinterpreting their symptoms. However it's important to mention that sites like r/SC and r/FDC are full of a lot of misinformation so I'll need to declare some nuance regarding their opinions.
DID is Covert: Not true, It is the majority however whilst 80% are covert, 20% of DID patients present overt. Most of them CAN mask with only 5-6% of overt DID patients not being able to mask. (We have Overt DID!) Sure it's not the majority but if 100 people with DID get put into a room that's still statistically 20 people with overt DID. More importantly there's no need to mask symptoms on an online platform and covert DID can seem like overt online!
Commborid Disorders (ie autism): If you have commborid disorders then it WILL affect how your disorder presents. Autism can cause a higher likelihood of getting the disorder (due to the disorder itself and the fact children with disabilities are more likely to be abused) and autism can cause a higher likelihood of introjects. Which brings the question, are they faking? Or just showing additional symptoms of autism?
Now that we've got that over with. Let's talk about misinterpreting symptoms and the harm that brings online. Which is minimal at absolute most. If you do happen to have another disorder the only real person you're harming is yourself as you're delaying treatment for what is actually causing you grief. But then again most people online who have DID are already in therapy and working through their trauma, so if it turns out later on they don't have DID - does it really matter? They worked through their trauma which is an objectively good thing.
So no, you're not faking. And you telling people about your symptoms online and classifying them as DID is not harmful. Your experience may differ from someone else's but hey that's okay! Our brains are all incredibly individual and naturally DID will follow that pattern and be very individual too. Keep posting about your symptoms and finding like-minded individuals if it helps you! (I tell my therapist about our Tumblr blog and she thinks it's a positive thing)
Do what's best for you and don't listen to dumb fucks online who have no idea what they're talking about. And FYI a doctor or medical professional having a degree does not automatically mean they know better than you. If you feel unheard or dismissed - ditch them and find a better one. You deserve to be seen, heard and understood.
Happy healing! And always be yourself, it's the best version you can be 🩷

I forgot to mention, I was looking at some different disorder cringe groups on reddit and found one person asking what the criteria/signs were that someone was faking their disorder.
Not one person in that group had a proper answer. Every comment was different variations of "you sort of just know" and "it's obvious when you see it".
It is literally just proof that they have no idea what they're talking about. You could fit the exact criteria to any disorder and they'll still post you there because you're simply different to what they're used to and that's upsetting to them.
I'm going to refrain from posting anymore about r/fdc, but please keep that in mind when you're feeling insecure as a result of those groups. They have absolutely no idea what they're talking about. None of them are qualified to be judging anyone like that.

Hi stormy! Potentially dumb question— how do we know the dates they applied for the buddy system? And all subsequent passes
Thanks x
Not a dumb question! Hopefully I can explain this in a way that makes sense. Lol
So basically the buddy system takes about 3 months from application to knowing if you got accepted or not, and that comes in stages. This army explains it well
These stages have dates they happen by which get posted publicly, which then ARMYs shared on twt
Doing the buddy system meant they had to do a harder boot camp, BUT they got to choose their unit out of the 16 available. They picked the 5 Division, which is where Jin was also stationed!
After 5 weeks of doing basic training together, they would then continue to serve at the 5th Division Artillery Brigade „White Bear“ until discharge. Another cool/important thing to point out is that the Buddy System does not require the companion soldiers to be in the same Brigade, as long as they are in the same Division, they can separate into different Brigades if they want. Jimin and JK both chose to join the artillery brigade together. Meaning they chose intentionally to continue staying even closer together through their service as well. Jin was in a different Brigade then they are, but it's nice they were in the 5th Division together at least!
Jimin also posted a letter mentioning JK to weverse shortly after they enlisted together as well, ensuring us they are doing well and supporting each other
It has also been said that their more specific jobs withing the Brigade are that Jimin is serving in the FDC, military fire direction center and JK is serving as a cook 🥰🥰 it's also stated that within the buddy system, companion soldiers will often get assigned to be within the same bunk area/barracks so they can continue to support each other through their service. It's nice that they have each other and continued to choose to be together through every part of this process.
Hope this helped explain things more!

FDC users posting and talking about how hard it is to be a fakeclaimer will never not be funny.
Yeah, I'm sure it's really hard to be a fakeclaimer who's constantly making sure that the disabled and mentally ill people around them aren't faking. You definitely don't make disabled and/or neurodivergent people uncomfortable because of the sheer amount of harm and bullying that has comes from the SubReddit you engage in. It must be especially difficult knowing that fandom, LGBT, and mentally ill spaces have openly mentally ill and disabled people in them.
#Y'all already know my opinion on fakeclaiming and why it's the worst approach to people potentially faking.#So I won't get into it.#I wanted to post this mainly because I was doomscrolling and thought it was neat.#tags for filters ->#r/systemscringe#r/fakedisordercringe#fdc mention#r/fdc#tw fakeclaiming mention#tw fakeclaiming#fakeclaiming mention#fake claiming#cw fakeclaiming#cw fakeclaiming mention

Finding r/plural and scrolling through it has been like basking in a ray of sunshine. Found ppl that unexpectedly share part of my experience with plurality, which i didn't think was possible, and all kinds of diverse experiences, that place makes me feel so valid! Emio - The Smiling Man is a welcome return for FDC... but a disappointing one
As I mentioned once before, Famicom Detective Club is BACK. Not just the title, but also its central heroes: Assistant detectives Taro Ninten and Ayumi Tachibana have returned for a new first-person menu-driven adventure game with a new mystery.
This is a much bigger deal for Japanese fans, where this is the first new game in the series (and the first real new adventure for these characters) since 1997 — and that '97 game is pretty obscure/hard to come by (I'll get to that), so it's really the first full-fledged NEW release since 1989! But the rest of the world only had a fan translation of the second game's SNES remake since 2004, which meant it was really only experienced by hardcore adventure game enthusiasts. And we only got our first official release of the first two games in the form of the Switch remakes in 2021.
I liked those Switch remakes a lot. I especially liked how many detailed, fluid animations there were in nearly every setting, which really brought the adventures to life. For any newcomers, I still recommend both of those titles — and in fact, I think The Girl Who Stands Behind remains the best in the series even now. The Missing Heir is full of dated design roadblocks that will almost certainly send you rushing to find an online guide, but The GIrl Who Stands Behind is a pretty easy playthrough for anyone.
Time has left the third game in the series behind, rendering it to obscurity. It truly is The Past that Disappeared in the Snow.
Though I should clarify that I only mean that The Girl Who Stands Behind is, IMO, the best out of the three games we English-only fans can experience. Because Emio - The Smiling Man is actually the fourth game in the series... and the third one is extremely obscure. That game was only released via Nintendo's Satellaview service in Japan, which let you use download games over dial-up Internet back in the '90s. That third game, titled The Past that Disappeared in the Snow, was the only one (until now!) where you played as Ayumi Tachibana. When her mom was accused of a murder, Ayumi had to uncover a decades-long family feud between her own family and another... and we don't know much more than that, because although the ROM file certainly is out there, nobody has ever bothered to translate this game into English.
But... I digress. It's time I stopped meandering around the central topic and started talking about the newest release: Emio.
In terms of gameplay, this one skews much closer to The Girl Who Stands Behind than The Missing Heir. There's one late-game moment where you're likely to be stymied about what to do or where to go next, because advancement requires some outside-the-box thinking. But otherwise, most players will be able to step through the narrative without too much trouble.
One cool touch that I alluded two a couple paragraphs earlier is that you will actually swap between Taro and Ayumi's perspectives in this one. I quite like that angle, though Taro pretty consistently gets the more interesting parts of the story. Perhaps that's because he still dominates 70% of the perspective.
The game will grade your performance in each chapter at the very end of the story, so do your best on the reviews and other multiple-choice segments.
If you're just looking to have a new adventure with some compelling late reveals? Emio - The Smiling Man has you covered. The same general gameplay from The Girl Who Stands Behind is back, including the end-of-chapter reviews of information that will ultimately help determine your graded performance.
Unfortunately I also feel that, in some ways, this is the weakest of the stories we've been able to play in English. And I feel that way primarily for three reasons:
Prepare to spend a lot of time at Planet Coffee, receiving very little information.
The sad truth is that, for much of this game, it feels like you're treading water. You barely ever seem to make advancements in the story until the last few chapters—instead, it's just piecemeal drip-feeding of tiny details that don't actually seem to move the needle. The Missing Heir was dropping new murders and mysteries left and right. In comparison, The Girl Who Stands Behind was more similar to how Emio is structured... but TGWSB had a creepy overlaying atmosphere and sense of dread that helped propel it along. For me at least, Emio is comparatively... well, it's kind of boring. Not much happens for most of the game. The last two main chapters and the Epilogue are all powerfully compelling, but up until that point, it feels more like you experience almost 10 chapters where you learn random facts that don't actually link to one another, and almost no one ever seems to be in any danger?
Worse is that sometimes, some things DO happen that the narrative just kind of... forgets about. One of the most compelling twists in the investigation is never explained in any way! At one point, we follow Ayumi as she follows a mysterious figure and then gets jumped by them... and then this is never discussed or addressed again! It's hard to believe a game with this many staff members involved could see this and shrug these dropped plot points off. Maybe they were all too scared to speak up to producer/writer Yoshio Sakamoto? But it's frustrating.
Ayumi gets jumped early in Chapter 7. When we next see her, she never mentions that this happened, nor is this ever explained or referenced again for the entire game.
You know how I mentioned after playing the previous two games that I was shipping Ayumi and Taro? Well, this game kind of killed that for me. For some reason, this is the only game in the series where Ayumi is treated as this gorgeous, irresistable being that every boy she encounters (while playing as her) simps for. And our playable hero, Taro, is just such a simp, too! Maybe it just felt overwhelming to me because it's every boy (and a couple girls) that she runs into, while in reality she doesn't talk to that many characters. But for me, it felt exhausting and kind of gross to see a couple of the male characters bicker over who knows her better, get possessively jealous when they have no right to, and basically act like total toolbags whenever Ayumi is involved. Taro, for his part, has gone from "implied to maybe kinda like her" to "acting weirdly possessive and overtly pining for her whenever they interact." Which I don't care for. For Ayumi's sake, I'm glad she seems to be somehow blissfully ignorant of her hypnotic effect. :P At least their boss, Utsugi, seems like he's not gunning for her... ?
So yeah, these are the three things that I think held the game back from being as good a story as the first two for me personally. Yet that's not to say the game is bad, either — I'm still quite happy to be unraveling mysteries with the Utsugi Detective Agency. There are still lots of fluid character touches in the animated scenes, the art is consistently great, the soundtrack is good, and things REALLY get gripping by the end.
If you're wondering why this game has an "M" rating while the previous two had "T" ratings, that's entirely due to the game's epilogue. After you beat the main story, many plot threads remain dangling. And as I stated up above, some will sadly stay that way. But most of them are filled in by the epilogue, which walks you through the incredibly dark, tragic, and disturbing tale of the culprit. The epilogue is more like a 20-minute visual novel followed by a 30-minute anime, because you don't actually PLAY it much; you really just read and then watch it. You are warned beforehand that this tale will be "gruesome," and though it's still far less so than most horror-based video games, it's definitely QUITE gruesome by Nintendo standards. But it's one of the most gripping parts of the whole story, honestly.

Holy shit I got posted! It only took me three years of being a system online.
Let’s go through some things because as I mentioned in an earlier post these subreddits spread misinformation!
1. All these alters from their favorite shows games, and general YouTubers.
We have 1-3 fictives in our system. 1-3 because I’m thinking two of the fictives that “formed” recently weren’t real. I think someone in the system took on the personalities of characters from our hyperfixation show and we mistook it as a fictive. I’m not certain on this yet though.
2. Makes memes almost weekly about how silly their altars are being in headspace.
Funny cause we dont post about other alters in our system much. And we don’t really have access to headspace so… how am I making weekly memes about these things?
3. And makes new alters every week.
Depending on if those fictives are real or not, we havent formed a new alter in 3-4 months. And the last split before that was 7 months away. So we don’t split often and we’re a system of about 15ish. Huge numbers I know /s
4. They shared a post about Inside out and Riley having alters. I’ve linked the post because it was a silly post I reblogged saying that you should’ve realized you were a system sooner based on how much you rated to the emotion characters in inside out.
But I’ve finally done it. 3 years of being open as a system online and I finally got fakeclaimed. I just wish they had better reasoning. Honestly the post probably happened cause I said r/FDC and r/SC spread misinformation. Here’s a fun fact for everyone. Endos spread misinformation, these subreddits spread misinformation, and yes even CDD systems spread misinformation. Anyways thank you for this new honor. Try harder next time though, kay?
Here’s the link to my post in case anyone wants to check it out. I find it funny so no harassment or hate towards the poster or any commenters. I wanna see what they have to say.

i think Louise knows that Alex isn’t still 100% into her like he might have been from 2018-2020. why does she become so snappy and rude when someone mentions him in her comments. what does she expect? she’s the girlfriend of the lead singer of one of the biggest bands in the world. she takes it as if she’s been with him since the start of their career. Her being on this holiday and him travelling to NYC makes it seem like they’re not as close as they would have been. i don’t know if any mods have seen the video of Alex leaving the venue of FDC’s show but he is looking down at his phone possibly texting Louise. but if she’s on her way back (or is back) i’m not surprised that he isn’t in Paris too see her after how ever long it was. anyways sorry if none of this makes sense i just wanted to dump everything i have been thinking ☺️
no worries thank you for sharing! We could have also been texting anyone or reading the news or ordering an Uber, who knows! But yes, it’s weird if he had down time and made a choice to NOT spend it with her
