Your post on Bruce being the weakest human member of the league, makes me wonder what would happen if a new meta-human league member, after being criticised by Bruce for acting too rash on the field, turned around and essentially said something along the lines of 'What gives you the right to talk to me like that? At the end of the day, you're just some human.'

Cue a completely silent room and tension thick enough you could cut through it. I feel like before Bruce even had the chance to respond, multiple members of the league would step in first, especially Clark, if he's in the room when this interaction occurs.

I know it’s not super in character but I wish, in that moment, Bruce would simply step aside, tilt his head, and indicate that the meta should lead the mission themself if they feel so strongly. Kind of like when the Chef in the Menu let Tyler cook in the kitchen just to watch him fail (theoretically this would be a mission that doesn’t affect civilians etc).

Clark would be furious and so would everyone else. But maybe they’d still defer to Bruce and let the hotshot run the mission into the ground. Sometimes to teach a lesson, failure needs to be at full intensity.

Bruce would step in at the end, a la Speirs in Band of Brothers, reach a hand down to the frazzled meta, and ask him if he wanted him to step in. Calm voice, confident posture, no obvious grudge or resentment. Just Batman offering to lead the mission after all.

Shadow Milk Cookie does not take your betrayal well.

Not agreeing with his philosophies is one thing, but acting out against him— helping those wretched witches seal him away— he won’t forget it. He stews in his rage, replays the moments of your treachery over and over again. He doesn’t blame you, he blames the witches. Those cowardly, despicable, rotten farces of gods. You are incredibly misguided by them, that’s all it is. You just need a little shove in the right direction, and once he escapes, he’ll happily provide that.

While Shadow Milk Cookie does not think you are at fault, he does believe that your actions warrant some sort of punishment. He pours himself over this during his imprisonment; ways to get back at you, make you suffer a little before he feels you’ve earned his forgiveness. Nothing he thinks of ever feels severe enough, there is nothing you could possibly do to mend his broken heart. (Perhaps if you stay by his side; spend the rest of eternity repenting and groveling, proving your loyalty and remorse, never estranging yourself from him again… maybe then, he’ll consider taking pity on you.)

After he breaks free from imprisonment, he’s all smiles and theatrics. Naturally, it’s a deceptive cover. Beneath his conniving grin is a deep-seated resentment. He tears the silver tree asunder with a manic smile and a burning desire for revenge. There are many things he intends to reclaim:

First of all, the other half of his soul jam.

He’ll run circles around that false little hero— as he finds that Pure Vanilla is surprisingly susceptible to corruption. It’s an excellent warm-up after laying dormant for so long, and Shadow Milk Cookie intends on enjoying every second of that thief’s descent into madness.

Then, once that’s out of the way, he’ll come for his silly, misguided, deceitful little lover next.

As a guy, I’m not really the target audience for it considering the reader is fem (I know you were self-indulging and that’s freaking awesome /sincere) but, man, I love it so much. I personally struggle with having the confidence to show literally anyone, even my very closest friends, my self-ship with Puzzles because of how little I see him being self-shipped with a guy. So, to have a fic were Puzzles outright says that he likes dudes means so much to me.

I know the the reader in the fic is fem and Puzzles stays with her (as he should! Gotta make sure my girlies get all of his stupid tv love) but, my god, the little acknowledgment of him liking men means a lot to me.

I’m cackling at the thought of Tingyun being the sneaky fox trying to intrude on Feixiao and Yukong’s territory, in order to mate with their omega. But she always gets chased off before she could get too close, leaving her to come back from time to time because she’s determined to snag the pretty omega for herself.

One day when Feixiao and Yukong go out hunting though, I can see Tingyun trespassing into your cave to seduce you, and by the time Feixiao and Yukong come back, they see the sneaky fox already mounting you from behind and grinning while she mates with you. Cue a screaming session between the Foxian alphas (but it sounds like actual foxes screaming) as Feixiao chases her off the territory and Yukong checks on you to make sure that sneaky fox didn’t hurt you. She didn’t, but she most definitely left her mark on you which meant you were also mated to her 😭

Feixiao and Yukong being a close pair that shares you makes sense though. It actually works because I made both their scents be similar (Feixiao smells like wet forest wood and Yukong smells like wet moss). However, Tingyun herself smells like lychee, so now you smell like a mix of wet forest and moss, as well as a sweet lychee smell from that playgirl Tingyun…
