a couple of things here:

Gaz's eyes are red as a symptom of gorging on blood. It's also evidence of Graves' control over him.

Valeria's paralysis stare doesn't work on Rudy's spectral dogs because they aren't technically living organisms, just spiritual extensions of himself, so he can look through their eyes at her with no repercussions.

Soap hasn't been shown yet, but he does have a role in all this.

that's alright anon, and thank you for being so kind <3 I'm doing better now! i temporarily changed my therapy sessions to be once a week instead of once a month and it's helped a lot.

i got into drawing because my older sister was, but before that it was just a hobby I naturally gravitated to. I think you can tell from my style, but I was heavily inspired by the animated shows/movies i watched as a kid (ATLA, JLU, teen titans, the lion king, spirit:stallion of the cimarron etc.) and spent a lot of time drawing characters from them. it kinda hit its stride when my sister got a tablet for her birthday one year, and I managed to fall in love with digital art by watching her.

back then, we just drew on MS Paint and then GIMP, and my sister's interest in art died down as time passed while mine kept increasing. art is so wonderful in that you never stop learning or improving at it. i'm better than i was, but i'm still so far from where i wish i was, skill-wise, and i can never improve fast enough. it all comes from a place of love and sort-of obsession. thank you for the ask <3
