Shadow Milk Cookie does not take your betrayal well.

Not agreeing with his philosophies is one thing, but acting out against him— helping those wretched witches seal him away— he won’t forget it. He stews in his rage, replays the moments of your treachery over and over again. He doesn’t blame you, he blames the witches. Those cowardly, despicable, rotten farces of gods. You are incredibly misguided by them, that’s all it is. You just need a little shove in the right direction, and once he escapes, he’ll happily provide that.

While Shadow Milk Cookie does not think you are at fault, he does believe that your actions warrant some sort of punishment. He pours himself over this during his imprisonment; ways to get back at you, make you suffer a little before he feels you’ve earned his forgiveness. Nothing he thinks of ever feels severe enough, there is nothing you could possibly do to mend his broken heart. (Perhaps if you stay by his side; spend the rest of eternity repenting and groveling, proving your loyalty and remorse, never estranging yourself from him again… maybe then, he’ll consider taking pity on you.)

After he breaks free from imprisonment, he’s all smiles and theatrics. Naturally, it’s a deceptive cover. Beneath his conniving grin is a deep-seated resentment. He tears the silver tree asunder with a manic smile and a burning desire for revenge. There are many things he intends to reclaim:

First of all, the other half of his soul jam.

He’ll run circles around that false little hero— as he finds that Pure Vanilla is surprisingly susceptible to corruption. It’s an excellent warm-up after laying dormant for so long, and Shadow Milk Cookie intends on enjoying every second of that thief’s descent into madness.

Then, once that’s out of the way, he’ll come for his silly, misguided, deceitful little lover next.

i know benjamin had a lot on his plate already but hear me out... an au where ayin for his reasons puts ben in charge of extraction team and not the arbiter who must have deserved to be there (not stating the reason. so don't immediately hate on A and all that. see the full text below for a load of details, and also english translation of text on pics 4 & 5)

it has the atziluth sephirot swap their colors (i've already did a post on color swap btw. but purely color) and the age of their filtered appearance; the full color swap (not just color change of department and uniform but colors of their hair, their bodies too) is required for original scheme to stay, with the colors corresponding to fixed sephirot and so on. names, too, would swap to what their respective kabbalah nodes should be and former benjamin is kind of pissed about his mentor's decision to give him work which is enough to drive a meaty human to insanity, even though after his escape he returned and tried to pry ayin off the plan in the earlier time, and overall he did all he could for the man. for him, the virtue would still be about the past and the future though as he'd have to come to terms with what ayin did to him, and his meltdown would probably have not the 'i want you to stay here with me and live at least somehow, i don't want to go' but instead 'i will make this place your tomb just like you did for me'. i guess it kinda sounds close to angela's feelings in ruina and that's also why both atziluth sephirot would've probably backed up her rebellion idk. its a fun little idea which blooms into a shitton of different things to think about

oh and also pics 4 and 5 have roland converse with library version of ben (he MUST be named binah at that point but i KNOW this will just bring confusion) and it's the quote from their first talk in original game. "i've dedicated my entire life to the wish of a single person", then roland asks "and the person's a rotten egg, eh?" to which ben explodes with OH THAT'S AN UNDERSTATEMENT. they'd probably get along as well over their similar feelings about ayin, which is funny. still not sure whether the respective floors would've been swapped for them... i mean either hokma still stands for religion and binah for philosophy and ben being the current binah would take the philosophy floor, or it's just color swap and religion would be dark with stars and philosophy the white hall and all. the anomalies of both floors fit very well with the color schemes and overall topic and i dont wanna meddle into that really but ehh... food for thought ig

I would really love it if Charlie saw Alastor’s pointless beefing with her dad and took it as an opportunity to force him to be more social.

Like she’d make a comment about how happy she is that her dad gets along with her friends, and she really appreciates that, and then Lucifer would give Alastor a smug look so Al would immediately start aggressively getting along with everybody else.

And Charlie is essentially manipulating Alastor into being a nicer person, and he is perfectly aware she’s doing it and it makes him even more angry.

Because there’s nothing he can do about it; either he accepts defeat to Lucifer and has to deal with his smug looks, or he plays nice with Charlie and has to deal with Charlie smiling at him brighter than usual, and there’s an obvious choice between the two of those.

And Lucifer of course has no idea any of this is happening. His daughter is using him to perform psychological warfare on his dad-nemesis and he’s so blinded by her compliments that he doesn’t even notice.

Theres smth about how Louis' whole narrative of Paris is in service of the climactic moment of Armand saving him at the trial, and the revelation that he didnt do that reveals that Louis' whole concept of who Armand is is on some level false, compared with the fact that when Armand starts telling Daniel about his history unprompted he chooses to introduce himself executing a vampire for violation of the great laws, and goes on to explain that the only person who had ever really loved him before Louis had abandoned him. Almost like maybe he thought Daniel would figure out what he did, and was trying to pre-emptively explain why he did it.

kieran, as he peers over, can’t help the meadow of flush that blooms over his neck, then his ears, then his nose and his cheeks. he can tell javier is deep in thought by the look on his face, mouth twisted just a might sideways, cocking his mustache awry, and the deep wrinkle sat between his brows. the ribbon he used matches javier’s vest perfectly, and the shine of the silk warms bright in the sun, just like every piece of jewelry and metal javier has adorned himself with. with this ribbon, javier’s hair sits lower on his head, ponytail draped down his nape and more hair framing his face in his bangs. kieran resists an urge to tuck one side back behind his ear.

kieran thinks that he looks like a painting, a muse, a love letter so heartbreakingly full of adoration that the only language it could be written in is bright swipes of pigment on a canvas. as he makes eye contact with the silk squinting around the red of a necktie, he thinks that javier may be right, if ‘girly’ could sum up ’poetry written in effeminate reverence’.

kieran always did think women made better art, wrote better books- found a better way to love. softer. warmer. prettier. like javier.

the world sounds like it’s underwater.

earnest to a fault, the look in kieran’s eye dances gingerly with javier’s internal voice. it dips and sways him, and javier, despite his instinct, finds himself charmed by its rhythm.

i keep worrying that im flattening xigbar, smoothing his edges, by headcanoning/theorizing that he cared about roxas and xion to some extent—a view of him that not everybody shares—but 1. it doesnt come from nowhere, it's based in the text, and 2. it would absolutely reflect less poorly on him if he didn't care about them at all, rather than if he cared about them but let all that shit happen to them anyway despite having the power to stop it

actually i’d never heard that she’d said that about spite that’s so cute 😭😭 and interesting too, the reason ive been sitting on this ask so long (sorry) is ive been trying to put some spite thoughts in coherent order but im simply not capable of being coherent lmao

ive been thinking a lot abt how to characterize spite, reconciling the literal/definitional meaning of spite with how he acts and expresses himself in game, which seems pretty agreeable for a demon of any kind. i think for one thing the pettiness aspect of the definition of spite is important, bc he never rly rises to anything truly harmful, but also ive been thinking maybe he could more specifically be called a demon/spirit of ‘in spite of’? which is probably how the word is most commonly used and is imo a little different, more reactive than aggressive. bc it’s not an omnidirectional petty malice really, it seems mostly to crop up when he’s refused something or told/expected to do something (‘oh they want me to take control of this body and become an abomination? well now im not going to >:|’ )

would love to hear from people and especially people trying to write spite as a character how you conceptualize him 🤔

and also. having read the first book armand turning daniel on a whim Kind of makes sense to me in hindsight. I guess? I don’t know exactly how it fits into his conceptions about vampirism being a curse - which is what ticks me off the most - but what we do know is that in the books he finds daniel in lestat’s house chasing vampires soon after he leaves louis, where he’s possibly once again perceived as louis’s ‘leftovers’, maybe an object who had access to louis and his sympathy in a way he envies. in both iterations of the story there isn’t any significant period he goes through alone, and we see him attach himself to louis even with the threat of not receiving any love in return hanging over his head, hoping that the love will manifest eventually. now that he’s irreparably bound himself to daniel (fathered him, even) it’s not a stretch to anticipate him developing a very unhealthy attachment to daniel.
