Cinderella is my favorite Princess if you’re asking me about Disney princesses. But I love Princess Irene from The Princess and the Goblin and I love Queen Lucy the Valiant, too.
Cinderella is awesome because the defining traits of a good person, a good woman and a good ruler are her superpower. She’s rewarded for having faith and being selfless and kind while she waits.
But I loved Sleeping Beauty, too, because she represented this precious, innocent, pure thing that was worth everyone trying to shelter and protect. Her movie shows how women ought to be treated.
And of course Belle. If Cinderella didn’t already do this, Belle would have my whole heart. I LOVE the moment in the animated film where she says, “wait!” and then, “…take me instead.” And the MUSIC does that, “isn’t this amazing” melody quietly to punctuate the moment. Because she’s doing the thing her fairy tale heroes would have done; she’s sacrificing herself and giving her noble word to save someone she loves, and it’s at the cost of all her own interests and dreams—and she came up with that idea all on her own. She gave herself up all on her own, when she hadn’t done anything wrong.
Faith! Sacrifice! Kindness! That’s what makes a good princess.
And in conclusion, this quote from the opening of the Princess and the Goblin, by George MacDonald:
THERE was once a little princess who—"But, Mr. Author, why do you always write about princesses?" Because every little girl is a princess. “You will make them vain if you tell them that." Not if they understand what I mean. "Then what do you mean?" What do you mean by a princess? "The daughter of a king." Very well, then every little girl is a princess, and there would be no need to say anything about it, except that she is always in danger of forgetting her rank, and behaving as if she had grown out of the mud. I have seen little princesses behave like the children of thieves and lying beggars, and that is why they need to be told they are princesses.

Hi, I loved your last art! Ultimate Imposter is an underrated fave of mine and I love the enby headcanon for him. I'm also curious about your thoughts on Hajime's gender identity. I see post-canon Hinata as inherently gender-fucked, at least a little, because I can't imagine going through everything he did wrt human experimentation and not coming out the other side with the realization that gender is fake. I know you don't like labels and I'm not asking for that, I'd just like to hear your take on the topic 🤔☺️ And sorry if you've talked about this before
My thoughts are basically like .... "you cant understand my gender or lack thereof if you dont have the insane amount of information and same experiences that I do. Not 100% sure I understand it myself on account of the ... yknow the forced brain altering and emotional amnesia. However retaining my identity post-lobotomy was kind of a big deal so I'll just default to that both to make it easier and because it feels better than nothing at all. Mostly don't care though"

"Ariel was stupid like she gave up her life in the ocean for a boy-" Well, if you actually watch the movie, before she even meets Eric, Arield shows interest in going to the surface and learning the ways of the humans. She collects artifacts and hides them, along with her trips to the surface from her father, who is prone to anger and hates her interest. He blows up her cave filled with said artifacts and bans her from ever going back to the surface (and seeing Eric, but the surface aspect and him go hand and hand). You want me to believe that you wouldn't book it at the first opportunity you got? Like yeah, the context of the deal was sketchy as hell, but when your dad is the literal ruler of all the seas you don't have many options. Also, in the sequel, Ariel is still connected to the ocean and can go back, especially after Ursula's sister dies so, in all honesty, my girl still wins in the end.

I’ll never forget how insecure Stansa’s got when the Key Five was revealed, complained about it and then to cope they created the ‘Core Six’ and actually ties into their continuous stream of passing of fanon as canon and at the same time being the usual delusional bunch they’ve always been
What's really funny is that they still confidently claim that the Key Five doesn't mean anything, solely because she isn't a part of it. The Core Six is a completely fanon invention but people talk about it like it's fact. They want her to be more important than she is so badly that they're straight up ignoring the author. And yes, until otherwise stated by George, the Key Five are still a thing. Tbh I'm not sure if there was ever a time that they engaged with the source material though? A lot of them came from the show (*cough*fanfiction) so that's where a majority of their takes are coming from. That's why we get people saying things like "Sansa charmed George off the page" or "Sansa took Arya's place as George's favorite Stark sister". They just desperately want the show to match up with the books. What's annoying is that her not being a part of the Key Five doesn't mean she isn't important, but people take it as hate towards her. It's sad that the only version of her they like is her fanon one.

Mmmmm eric
HMMMM. this is a relatively popular headcanon, i think, but i really do not agree when people draw cartman greasy and ugly!! as a teen/adult, i mean. those liane genes are strong and while he doesn't take care of the rest of himself he does go heavy on the cosmetics. washing his hair a lot and covering up his blemishes and all that. and most importantly he is very naturally pretty with big brown eyes and long eyelashes and a relatively clear face. and he likes to look nice! (sometimes this is hard to see because his personality cancels it all out of course)

A Little Princess is the earliest memory I have of realizing what it looks like for a grown ass woman to be jealous of a child. Ms. Minchin would’ve got these hands if any of those girls were my daughter.

Part of maturing is realizing you cannot continue to feed yourself the same processed garbage you had as a child. Things like snack cakes and cookies and processed artificial meals will ruin your health. You are not a child anymore, do not eat like one. You have control over what you put in your body. 🤍
