I think we all know how romantic dan is despite his nihilistic persona and if I had to guess I'd say it's probably not a regular pet name, but something he references when he's feeling sentimental or horny 🥲 I think some part of him LOVES that phil is his complementary counterpart, the sunshine to his gloom, the aziraphale to his crowley, and the hair just dials that in. He's fallen in love with phil all over again after the phlondening just like we have, and is leaning into the "angel" energy because it's aesthetically compelling but also phil did kinda swoop in and save him with unconditional love all those years ago 🤍🪽✨️
