I bring a sort of "Optimus and Elita both get to live and least be on good terms with one another" vibe that the majority of Transformers canon doesn't like

I think we're sleeping on the idea of Sokka getting to be a stage mom during the summers when they take Izumi to Ember Island where she auditions for the Ember Island Players' summer show

Thinking about how if you don’t count Tweek x Craig (since that mostly takes place before they become a couple), we only have one creek centered episode 😔😔😔

Fanfiction rec!
A Shot in the Dark by Silver_Pup
A time travel fix-it fic! Bilbo lives out his life only to be pulled back in time. And this time around, he is determined that not only will all of his companions survive their adventure, but his dear nephew Frodo will never ever set eyes on a certain ring.
Everybody lives, nobody dies, Bilbo is a badass, and his dwarves love him more than life itself. Especially their King!
Tumblr media
I started and finished reading this fic on the same day. I literally couldn’t stop reading it. I was awake until 4am because my brain wouldn’t shut up and let me sleep until I finished it. It was that good.
The dwarves and Bilbo were just one big happy family it was so cuuuute!!! 😭 Seriously Silver_pup put SO much love into every single character. It was so well done. This right here is a fic for the bookmarks!!!

Creativity At It's Finest
Twisted Wonderland: Here's a complex Autistic child who some of you will swoon over but ultimately he's the tragic side character that no one will remember in the end. Me, writing Legends Over The Horizon: Forget that! Not only will said character be a part of Ramshackle as an honorary student, but he's going to be intricate to the main plot, especially with one of the protagonists! LONG LIVE THE HALLOWEEN KING! AHAHAHAHA!

there would never be a scenario in which i would like emma leaving but the way they did it was just so.. unsatisfying? like if the reasoning behind her leaving was better (and they didnt just completely forget about her in the show) it would be better. bc what do you mean her family just randomly decided to travel the world?? how are u just gonna drop that info and not elaborate. maybe it would make sense bc her dad is a business man? but why uproot your whole family for that? it would be different if they were full on MOVING to another country for his work, but that isnt the case. i mean give us something, anything! lewis' leaving made sense bc it was science related, they really couldnt think of anything for emma? :(

It would be so underwhelming and just generally awful if Will, who spent 2 seasons believing that he will never find love, is never going to be able to get a boyfriend and is just going to get rejected by the guy he is in love with, was just proven right in s5.
Like after this:
Tumblr media
And this
Tumblr media
And Will is just going to end up alone with Stranger Things being like:
"Yeah lol he was never going to get the guy he wanted, he was right all along"
"He might get some nameless, unimportant bf in the future tho🤷‍♂️"
And not subvert Will's (and the audience's) expectations!??!??

super upset that zhen gets to become dragon warrior. like why add her. we didnt need a new character before other than villains, but they all had references and the whole story was already written out when they made kung fu panda. at least make tigress or tai lung the next dragon warrior
either way actually why the FUCK is he passing the fucking title to someone?! thats not how it worked! he was prophecised! his journey is over! hes the dragon warrior, destined! He fought and won against Tai Lung and Kai (as well as found inner peace through shen) why the FUCK can he even pass the title on to someone else?! this shit aint real. im making tai lung help po whether dreamworks likes it or not

I tend to say I don't really get into "actor fandoms" like some people do but I often end up watching things with actors I know from other things because other people will happily watch literally everything an actor* has been in and review them and gif them and sometimes share pirated copies of them and there's often a few things that look like they'd interest me for some other reason. Stuff I'd probably watch anyway but the social element of being in a sort-of-adjacent fandom means people will know what I'm on about when I mention them later. Like of course I will watch Natalie Dormer as Anne Boleyn, that sounds amazing. Yes, a Quatermass remake with David Tennant in it sounds grand, I shall get that on DVD for sure.
Sometimes the things the actor you know is in are bad, and that can be entertaining too. Is the genre of low-budget scifi movies with a lesser-known Star Trek actor in them still a thing?
*using 'actor' in the more modern 'gender neutral' sense btw

"As for the government of the kingdom, [Edward V] had complete confidence in the peers of realm and the queen."
"According to the Crowland continuator, [Elizabeth Woodville] seems to have taken the king's place in listening to his council immediately after Edward IV's death. It does appear that she expected to have some role in her son's kingship, and the Crowland continuator’s report of the letters sent to her by [Richard of Gloucester] indicates that she had good reason to expect to be able to work with him and the other councillors: 'the duke of Gloucester wrote the most pleasant letters to console the queen; he promised to come and offer submission, fealty and all that was due from him to his lord and king, Edward V, the first-born son of his brother the dead king and the queen'."
"[However], in what was Gloucester's first coup, Edward V was separated from his household and Woodville advisors. When the young king questioned the move, Buckingham was reported to have told the boy 'It is not in the business of women but men to govern kingdoms'. The blunt remark referred to the authority of Elizabeth Woodville as queen and the power she must have anticipated within the new political climate left by Edward IV's sudden death [...] While the veracity of this scene is questionable*, the words attributed to the duke no doubt seemed plausible to Dominic Mancini who believed they exemplified the popular sentiment held by men [...]."
— Dominic Mancini, The Usurpation of Richard the Third / J.L. Laynesmith, The Last Medieval Queens: English Queenship 1445-1503 / Alexander R. Brondarbit, Power Brokers and the Yorkist State, 1461-1485
*One of Mancini's key sources seems to have been Edward V's own doctor, John Argentine, who attended to him in the Tower. It's very likely that he was the one who recounted this scene to Mancini, which suggests that it should probably be considered more credible than not.
#historicwomendaily#elizabeth woodville#wars of the roses#15th century#english history#my post#Croyland wrote that 'The counsellors of the king - now deceased - were present with the queen' so yes#He clearly seemed to view Elizabeth as taking on Edward's role after his death#Which is striking since her son - the new King - hadn't even arrived in London yet let alone be crowned#It's also interesting that Richard wrote letters to *her* rather than the rest of the council and that she was the final deciding authority#when it came to her son (she was the one who wrote to him for his military escort) - it's a clear indication of who was seen as important#This is also reflected in 16th century chronicles like the claim that the Archbishop of York gave Elizabeth the Great Seal#We don't know if this is true - the Archbishop was definitely opposed to Richard but More may have embellished or invented the story#But either way it reflects the perception that Elizabeth would have a major role in the realm's governance during her son's minority#Which makes sense as Edward V would have been used to his mother governing for him as part of his council his whole life#It's also interesting to compare the impression we get of Elizabeth's role with that of former kings' mothers in late medieval England#Because that can help us understand her activities (and perception of them) within proper context rather than purely in isolation#From what I understand kings' mothers could be very influential (eg: Joan of Kent) but were almost never visibly/directly associated#with the governance of the realm. It's striking that the most extreme and arguably the only exception - Isabella of France - assumed#her unofficial regent-like role only after literally deposing the former King aka her husband in the most atypical situation imaginable#So it's striking that Elizabeth *was* visibly and directly associated with it despite her situation being entirely standard; despite the#lack of precedents; and despite the physical absence of her son. Especially since she was effectively the king's mother for only 20 days#I do think it's possible to argue that it says something about her power as queen#(Edward *did* give her unusual positions of authority either way) and may also suggest a more direct personality on her part#It may also explain why historians were/are so readily prepared to believe that she wanted to 'usurp the sovereignty' to quote George Buck#Ofc this is my interpretation based on my (limited) knowledge - feel free to correct me

I'm thinking about the implications of c3e96 @3:07:30 when they're inspecting the blue time domes and Ashton says they glow blue when time slows down and red when time speeds up. Redshift is when a light's wavelength is long and its frequency is low. Blueshift is the opposite - short wavelength makes for higher frequency. So if we apply storytime to real world physics, magic is like an equalizer. Removing a lot of energy creates blue light and causes the target to move slowly.
Here's where this breaks down. Removing just some energy (creating redshift light) should not cause the target to speed up. The narrative choice must be from color theory, then. Blue is associated with cold, ice, slow. Hot is associated with hot, fire, fast.
Shut up D, it's just a tv show.

Some new art of a very very old oc of mine! From like, when I was an 8th grader in middle school to freshman in high school I think, I haven’t thought about this character or the world she’s from in like… years, but my brain suddenly remembered she existed! And so I drew some art of her!
Visually, she’s absolutely mostly the result of my child self sticking Toko Fukawa from Danganronpa and Peacock from Skullgirls in a blender and lettin it fuckin rip. Personality wise she’s a bit different tho… she’s into politics! As in,,, she’s in politics ghgh, she’s like the chief of the surveillance department for the country of (mostly) witches that the story takes place in. And one of the advisors to the head ruler witch,,, she sucks! Hardcore! she’s def a villain lol
#I made 2 videos for this story and she’s in 1 of them#the idgaf video. at the 30 second mark#but. even tho I specifically remember when I first designed her she had the eyeball braids!#or at least eyeball buns#16 year old me got rid of em!!! for no good reason!#they were fun and cool and fitting for her role and character!!! what the hell 16 year old me!#original#original art#original characters#my ocs#artists on tumblr#eyes#doodles#the other video from this story I made is the something’s not right meme lol#the difference in tone is fucking tremendous#that one tho is more… a lore tidbit… like… it’s background on a phenomena of the setting…#as a middle schooler I did not give a shit about major or minor or background characters tho. or even actually telling a cohesive story?#like. I started w a few characters. and then. went on to characters they were connected too. and then characters they were connected too#and then on an on and on it was just a web of vaguely interconnected dudes in a vaguely interconnected world#no. real narrative lol. but I had fun w it! it was cool. I wish I still had my sketchbooks w the stuff I made for it#I feel like it’d be a fun thing to look back on… sadly fire took them… damn u fire ghg#* shakes first at past horrible traumatic experience *#anyway yeah! enjoy art of evil eyeball lady w no name lmao#*fist not first… spellings hard#partial nudity#in the second pic. but also u can’t rlly see anything so. I think it’s fine?#I’ll still tag just in case tho
