Most genius and also successful plan in the entire series. Angel should get more recognition for being the reason (together with Takaba) that the protagonists managed to get rid of the main villain.
#I wish we got more of her thought process going into this#like did she actually predict the two would hit it off so well or did she just pick Takaba because he can create illusions?#could also give insight into her and Kenjaku's relationship#we know there is more to it because for some reason Angel is fine with Kenjaku possessing people only the merger is going too far#but Gege has turned her into a plot device so it's very unlikely we get anything for her except a backstory on her beef with Sukuna#and even that might only be very minor#jujutsu kaisen#jjk angel

another thing that made me shake my fist in anger at Pentiment's extremely tight autosave feature: two characters were gonna prank father thomas by putting a buncha frogs where he stores the eucharist. and i accidentally snitched on them to him because i didnt realize thats what the dialogue choice was gonna lead to. by the time i realized what happened it already autosaved. and they hate me now for telling on them. i gotta replay this game just to see the epic frog prank happen

I just wanted to doodle some HM/SoS OCs of mine. I made them for some collabs (the sisters for a collab comic and Beryl for a RP thing on DA)... but as collabs consisting of mostly teens often do, those kinda fizzled out haha
Even if the stories I created them for don't exist any more, I want to include them in some sort of story in the future, since I'm really fond of them~

God damn it i slept in until just now WHY!!! But i did have a kiefer centric dream even if it was incredibly stressful. Fine

also like i was going to reblog ur post abt it last night with a good old ramble but i literally don't know how to articulate any of it. being diaspora + being mixed = NO media that ever caters to how different that experience is AND how simultaneously u have both of the cultures AND that of the place u were born. like. being chinese and being told by all my khmer friends i'm a lot more chinese than khmer because of our food & social etiquette etc vs seeing chinese diaspora media and it's all... so Clean. like no mention of being lower middle class it's all going after wealth and being Chinese American. idk. it is complicated

so I've been watching the KH Union Cross stuff (in order, thank goodness, this would be so confusing to piece together otherwise), and like, I knew enough about UX that the appearance of the foretellers at the end of KH3 wasn't confusing bc I knew who they all were, but getting the expanded, explained lore and I'm like okay, actually these weirdos in animal masks are pretty cool, glad to know they'll show up (presumably) in future games
also I'm glad that memorizing the Latin names for the seven deadly sins is finally paying off
#I'm still going to have to comb the wiki or something later to figure out some lingering questions#which I probably still have bc I got a condensed version of all the games for just the story content#so any weird bits of minor worldbuilding that occur due to like gameplay stuff I'd totally miss out on#or I just simply Don't Remember what something was when it was explained bc I was distracted by the outfit designs or something#(I am so distracted by character designs all the time and KH outfits are off-the-wall distracting)#but like overall actually the UX stuff is very interesting!#love to see that lack of communication and poor decision making is not just limited to the old men of the series#(except Merlin he's fine actually he's the only old man who does not seem to make poor life choices)#like wow so many issues might have been avoided if decisions were made differently#which I mean the story works great bc the tragedy is knowing that things could have been better but would never be#bc the characters wouldn't have made the decisions differently bc of their characterization#and UX being Oops All Prequels means it was fated to be tragic in some way or another bc like#you do not get the setting of KH w/out the tragedy of the first Keyblad War (and possibly other things?)#so like I'm fine with the characters making poor decisions bc it makes a good story but also Hot Damn#KH is just generations of mistakes and poor life decisions#and the kids are actually really doing their best at every turn even if they're against the absolute worst odds#and still the theme of the power of friendships persists...absolutely excellent#oracle of lore

not included: several locks of hair, a handmade condolence card (march 1842), 5 deitsch marriage certificates (1851-1935) lots of notes written in deitsch, and the chemise it was wrapped in
#anyways we found all this clearing out my great-great aunt鈥檚 house after her passing 6 years ago#There was a photo album too!! I think the earliest one was dated 1871 but don鈥檛 quote me on it#I might post photos of it next time I visit my hometown because it鈥檚 gorgeous#the benefit of your family never leaving 1 very small county is that there ends up being a lot of history#also it鈥檚 really fascinating because my family spoke deitsch in the home up through the forties so a lot of the notes#Written in are minor translations (deitsch is linguistically distinct but Very similar to german)#All of my great-relatives (and the handful of great-greats that I met) could/can still speak a little#Unfortunately WW1/WW2 meant that deitsch pretty much died out everywhere except Amish/mennonite communities#My grandparents still know a couple words but haven鈥檛 really spoken it since they were kids#HOWEVER I have learned that some of my/my family鈥檚 weird grammar (which I discovered was weird very late in life) is a holdover from deitsc#This has been your obscure linguistics infodump of the day thanks for listening#Whispers from the ally

love it when you end up doing work that shouldn't be your responsibility but you know you don't have to say a word bc you know your bosses are kind hearted and are seeing this shit and are decidedly not ok with it
#technically i'm the assistant of the assistant and technically i'm mainly supposed to watch and observe and do some minor tasks#that were assigned to me by the assistant director#except over the past few weeks i've ended up doing 80% of the work that should be the assistant director's job#today is our 4th performance since opening day and earlier the director called me#asking how i was doing with the work and if it was still manageable bc it's very obvious that i'm the one working my ass off here#so i told him my pov of things with the end result being that we're gonna have a chat with the assistant director#and we'll see which tasks can be taken off my hands again#it's a little tricky tho bc i'm much more organized and have a much better overview of things#so it's a little difficult for me to decide which tasks the assistant directoe can do that i won't have to double check#or even have to end up doing myself again after all bc she's not as thorough#which is totally ridiculous bc SHE's my superior and SHE should be double checking MY work not the other way around#esp bc SHE'S the one getting paid while my position is one that's typically unpaid#anyway let's see what will come of this conversation#i was close to bringing this issue up to the director some time soon#but he beat me to it while i was still trying to figure out how to go about it hahahaha#tihe 2023#airenyah plappert

i have figured out how to filter out all those damn x reader fics that don't tag themselves as x reader fics on ao3!
i simply exclude all fics categorized as f/m except for what i put on a damn whitelist.
#in other news i have once again increased my power level when it comes to filtering on ao3#(learned how to use the 'NOT' boolean or w/e (it's '!' you put '!' in front of w/e you wanna have as an exception))#recently i've been going through just the regular gnshn tag as a fandom on ao3#bc i feel like there's not much in the pairing tags i check regularly so i figure i might as well like. entertain myself#by seeing what gen stuff is out there. but the raw fandom tags require Extensive filtering to be hospitable zones#and this is also how i learned there are some pairings i don't mind seeing when there are other ships around#but i don't really care abt when they're the Only ship going on so i figured out how to filter them out#but Only when otp:true applies to them so if they have side pairings or poorly tagged minor pairings they can stay#鑺辫┍#like those kinds of filters aren't useful when i'm looking through ship tags but they are Very useful in main fandom tags#ALSO.
