Had this funky little dream last night about Mal du Slay (the princess) and I woke up immediately after imagining this thing ^

Anyway Siffrin is the Long Quiet and Loop is the narrator and I am plagued by MDP (Mal du Princess) look at how pretty they are

"Doomed by the narrative" is sexy and all but i think the narrative wanting to save a character who is utterly set on dooming themselves isnt as much of a thing and it's so good as a concept

More Froop plz möther

Loop could admit that they never would have expected to find themself in this situation, having these awful feelings for someone after they had presumed that all that was left for them to feel had been lost in a hollow pit of rot and bitterness. They felt like a lovesick schoolgirl these days, and did not find the latter half of the word "lovesick" unfitting for just how sickening it made them feel. They'd been reduced to... to this, a blushing shy mess, over a... over a...!

Stupid animatronic bear!!

Could they ever catch a break!?

No matter how much they berated themself for it though, they couldn't keep their eyes off of Freddy as he sang his tune into the microphone on stage. The other customers joyously ate their Freddy Fazbear's pizza at the tables, and Loop felt a pang of envy that they had no mouth to try it.

Since when did they care about pizza? They just wanted to tell Freddy that they liked it or something.

Freddy Fazbear's gaze cut across his audience over to Loop as he sang amongst his band members, Bonnie and Chica at his sides. As if Loop's body could involuntarily insult their very willpower, they instinctively shied away at their table.

Expression unchanging, Freddy's other arm stiffly lifted and his robotic four-fingered hand waved at them, all while keeping up his song.

If Loop had a heart, it would flutter in their chest.

But they didn't.

They averted their gaze and picked at a party hat on the table, glaring at the thing.

Annoying.

Loop had to remind themself that they were only here because the party had wanted to see Bonnie—the kid, Freddy's band member—on the stage. They were here for them. Just them. Loop could keep their grossly affectionate eyes off of the lead singer for another day.

Thinking about the time between Loop eating the star and their first meeting with Siffrin. Do you think they were there to see Siffrin making the wish that starts the loops? Maybe they had just woke up in Siffrin's timeline and was processing what happened to them, thinking it was some weird dream, and don't realize until later that they could have stopped the loops from the beginning (they couldn't have, they didn't know).

There's also the fact that, in that time, they had to realize they were no longer Siffrin, realize there was a whole *other* siffrin and decide to help them, through their own will or not. Considering their last moments as Siffrin was spent in a mental breakdown, they would also have to pull themselves together in time to help Siffrin once they discovered the loops (though we can see in SASASAAP that they have practice in this area).

Just thinking about how we spend that first loop with Siffrin peacefully and unaware, while Loop is going through the worst realizations of their life (which the bar was already set pretty high for), and yet they STILL manage to get it together and help Siffrin ALL BY THE SECOND LOOP! Everyone say thank you Loop Instarsandtime because they really did the most for Siffrin while having the worst time

Heya! This is Sam, the project lead for NightFell.

Happy Underevent 2024! We are excited to say we've been featured in this year's UnderEvent.

Thank you to the Underevent team and a personal thanks to Octo, FMS, and Rusty for having us. It was wonderful to work with everyone, it's been a blast!

To all the new followers, welcome! This is NightFell, a different take on Underfell. The game's demo is far along, and we plan to release it early this year. We hope you will enjoy our silly passion project. To help tie you all over during the wait, we've got something special for you...
