Lil gift for @artsygirl0315 because I've been wanting to draw Sector PHP for a while and they gave me the idea for Irwin's role in the show time! Also she seems to like him so ksjadfhlaksjdfhajshdf thanks for liking my big boi!

Basically Irwin is an undercover Adult Operative whose task is to go around the world and check on all existing sectors, making sure they're prepared for everything and up to date with technology, weapons and vehicles!

He's probably the only Adult Division operative who can casually walk up to KND operatives and be "Hello, I've been tasked by Moonbase to check on you, you can call me Numbuh 442".

Yes, he gets to use the "Numbuh" appellative because... he needs to make operative believe he's actually a kid stuck in an adult body. When he reaches the Treehouse, he needs to: 1) Win the Sector's trust by making them believe the story (which, he's pretty good at it, kids DO believe he's a kid to) and 2) Get the sector to help him find a "cure".

He will leave little fake clues around the place the kids need to find and send moonbase, and once they collected them all, he will move to the next Sector. Sometimes villains will appear and he's not allowed to fight them, unless the situation gets too intense. But that rarely happens, all operatives are highly trained! If he DOES need to intervene because the Sector is not prepared... well... be ready to get an official call-out from the Soopreme Leader.

Once he leaves, he disappears from their lives, and unless they move on to become TND and then Adult Division members, they might never know what happened to Numbuh 442, the kid trapped into an adult body.

That's how I explain why he's not in the show, he's always around the world to play and test the kids!

For sector PHP, he did manage to convince them and have them help him, and maybe it was the first time he didn't want to leave a Sector because he had too much fun...

The most fun parts of Drug-Eating Genius Mage (1300+ chapters novel, still ongoing) I can remember are: Davi; Lenoch writing his first thesis as Evan Baylan in one night as an alibi and it accidentally attracting far more attention than expected; Lenoch’s trauma of stairs; Lenoch’s reputation (with Van’s always worsening in unexpected ways, then Evan Martinez doing the same kinds of things but his reputation went in a completely opposite direction).

Oliviera: If you wanted to care about your reputation, you should have done it years ago.

Van, weakly resisting: But, the Magic Tower… *resigns himself due to a lack of arguments*

There’s also the time Evan Baylan accidentally moved in the floor under Evelyn.

Evan Baylan: I shouldn’t practice magic for the time being. For now, let’s observe her for a few days, then we’ll make a plan to ask when she plans to move out without attracting suspicion…

Davi, finding the situation absurd: Why are you going so far for such a small matter? You just need to ask her.

Evan Baylan: I see you don’t want to sleep in your fox house tonight.

Davi, threatened: I’ll start analyzing her living patterns and collect information for the plan right away.

Or Victor’s personality. The Van vs Victor and Van vs Evan Baylan and Van vs Evan Martinez were also epic.

Evelyn, who knows the truth: What crazy thing are you doing?!

When they needed high-ranking mages for the Magic Tower.

Van, not understanding why Jenny and the fire mage are reacting like that: That’s not true, I know a lot of high-ranking mages. For example…

Van: *realizes all the high-ranking mages he knows are either enemies or dead (because he killed them) and falls into silence*

Jenny: *clears her throat* …It’s not a big deal, we’ll find another way. *tries to reassure him*

And when Van invited the mercenaries to a party at his house and the mercenaries were paranoid saying 'Does he even know what a party is?' and totally panicking. Or when Van demonstrated amazing ice magic and Evelyn caught him looking at a beginner guide on ice magic for debutants (that he had received as a reward from her/the agents not long before). Or Evan Martinez watching Lapis sneakily tasting the herbs Evelyn was eating due to curiosity and spitting it out due to the bad taste during a meeting. And Evan Martinez being 'I told you I don’t care about the Blue Eyes anymore!' (*proceeds to kill someone who insults Lapis*) while everyone thinks the contrary.

There’s also Lenoch having a somewhat cold/detached personality but not being in control at all in an emotional situation and running away from it (like *Aris suspecting Van is Evan Baylan and testing him*, *Van passing all the tests far too well*, *Aris suspecting him even more*; or *Evan Martinez proceeding to turn the city upside down to prepare a fight against Van with the main goal (of choosing this way) being to separate the two identities in everyone’s eyes*); the sheer extent to which he can go to protect his secrets; when he was called 'Balkan’s Demon King' and the city council just gave him the mayor position to 'appease' him; the citizens’ public opinion (they always say absurd things and it’s fun); and most of all, his different identities.

The 'hiding his identity' part is really the best part of this novel, and it’s so well written, and it’s so fun. Of course, there are a lot of other fun things I didn’t think of here (since 1300 chapters are a lot and I can’t remember every detail) and the main character is always so cool!

And I was super happy when those were the comments coming out, even though it seemed negative, because that’s exactly what seemed important to me was this guy is going to hold it to his chest, any sort of emotion he has, and you’re barely ever going to see him give you a glimmer of it. I thought about when I was that age, and then I thought about the time period on top of that, and when I was that age, I already didn’t want to give people anything that felt like someone could come back at me with. "So Travis has those walls built up, but on top of that, the way that he creates those walls is different than mine, where in 1996, it would be misogynistic comments coming at you, attacking you, rather than quiet. It’s not just quiet. He retaliates. That was really important, and the writing is what gave me that. As an actor, it’s our job to justify and figure out why. Why a writer put this in, why is this here, why is it important. That’s how I tried to build how he created his walls. I just read the script and went, ‘Where do they see him? Where is he on the spectrum of hiding himself?’ And I tried to draw from myself, but also from the writing, but also from the time period. It was really just a balance, because even as the episodes go, the writers allowed for Travis to have moments that changed the way that he was perceived and how much he gave people and how much he emoted. I’m glad the negative qualities came out in the sense that he does have toxic behavior that he throws out there quite often."

“It was a big point to me when I was trying to play Travis; none of these people really talked to him before this. There’s gotta be a really reserved quality, a defense mechanism quality to him because these people never cared about a single thing he said, but now all of a sudden they’re expecting him to act how they want him to act, so there’s a defense, there’s an anger in that. That was something I really wanted to explore. His anger, we definitely explore.”
