Day in Fandom History: April 13…

When Tina gets swindled into trading away her toy horse, Chariot, to a group of middle-aged men at an Equestranauts convention, Bob disguises himself as a horse to befriend those guys and get the horse back for his eldest daughter. “The Equestranauts” premiered on this day, 10 Years Ago.

Hi! What’s a song that makes you think of your favorite character or ship from Bob’s Burgers?

I don't know if this is what you're looking for but the song Pink Pony Club by Chappell Roan. I always think of the episode "The Equestranauts." And the scene in particular where Bob is drunk af and they're all dancing and the kids are there with Linda.

One of my favorite end credits songs! The line "Headhorn and Chariot come to my place tonight!" never fails to crack me up.

Here is why I think Bob is autistic

There more I think about this, the more sense it makes

1.- Bob has very intense special interests, like burgers, thanksgiving, or cooking in general. Coming up with a new burger every single day sounds very autistic when you think about it

2.- Most of the time Bob doesn't express his emotions with his voice, or even with his facial expression, those stay mostly constant. Instead Bob is constantly telling people how he feels and what he thinks of the situation. This is very similar to what Tina does, although with her its more prominent

3.- Autism has a genetic component, if Tina is autistic it's very likely one of her parents would be too

4.- Bob has terrible people skills. He thought all those people in the forum were his friends but they actually hated him, that's the autistic experience right there. He also doesn't have many friends, he hates parties, hates double dates…

5.- Bob has a strong sense of justice, and believe it or not this a well known autistic trait which Bob exemplifies perfectly. How many times has Bob taken a situation too far because he just couldn't accept some perceived injustice or mistake?

6.- More about special interests: He has other special interests besides cooking, like the cowboy movies he watches with Gene or the Samurai movies he watches with Louise

7.- He was able to absorb the Equestranauts fandom in like a day. For a neurotypical person this would be extremely hard, but for someone with autism who can hyperfixate, this is still hard, but doable

In conclusion. Bob is a good example of a person with high functioning autism, and he could serve as an example of how autistic people can thrive in society

Also, the fact that he insists Tina is not autistic, but he himself is without knowing it, could make for a killer episode if the writers ever went there, I can almost picture it

Bob: For the last time, Tina you are not autistic. You just speak in a monotone voice, have a few intense interests, have trouble socializing and can become a little obsessed sometimes. Everyone does that

Linda: Uhm, no Bob, most people don't have trouble socializing

Bob: They don't?

Linda: Most people don't do any of the things you said

Bob: But I do all of those things... Oh

Day One: Party/Drunk

Drunk: Tina has her own apartment in this story, Tina and Jimmy Jr are older, 18 years old.) Tina sat on the couch watching her favorite TV show, The Equestranauts. As she got up to heat more popcorn, she heard a knock on the door. "Who could that be?" she thought to herself. She walked to the door and peeked through the peep hole. "Hello? who's there?" she saw a tiny preview of ginger hair peeking out. Tina opened the door seeing Jimmy Jr laid out on the carpet. Tina, "Jimmy Jr? What the hell are you doing on my carpet?"Jimmy Jr, "The chicken is roasting downtown."Tina, "What chicken? There ain't chicken toasting or roasting!"Jimmy Jr, "Can I have a chicken now"Tina *yelling*, "Jimmy Jr, for the thousandth time, I'm not roasting an chicken! There's some steak strips left if you randomly came here to barge down my fridge!" Jimmy Jr got up off the carpet but almost fell. Tina held him up and brought him inside and placed him on the couch.Tina smelled liquor, ''YOU'RE DRUNK!" Jimmy Jr, "no I'm not. Am I?" Tina, "YES!"Jimmy Jr, "DON'T YELL AT ME, DINA!""Tina, "YOU ARE DRUNK, YOU LITERALLY JUST CALLED ME DINA, I'M TINA!"Jimmy Jr, "that's what I said, Dina!"Tina, *facepalms* "oh god. how did you even reach my apartment if you're like this?" Jimmy Jr, "I don't even know."Tina, "Listen once you wear off the drunk ness go home!" Jimmy Jr, "No and I ain't drunk!"Tina, "Yes you are. You can stay here until the drunk ness wears off,  but then you gotta go home!"Jimmy Jr, "No! I wanna stay here! I want that roasted chicken!"Tina, "JIMMY JR, ENOUGH WITH THE ROASTED CHICKEN!" Jimmy Jr falls on his stomach and snores. Tina just sits him up on her couch and covers him with a blanket. Tina as she opens the microwave of popped popcorn, in her mind, "he's lucky he's cute."

In the morning, Jimmy Jr woke up all groggy. He looked around and noticed Tina cooking pancakes. "Tina." Tina turned around and said, "Morning, Jimmy Jr."

"how did I get in your apartment?" He asked still sleepy. Tina chuckled. "Figured you can tell me, you were drunk and I found you on my carpet. "

Jimmy Jr, "oh god, I'm so sorry, I think Zeke kept giving me shots and I don't think we're supposed to be drinking at this age."

Tina, "damn right, now come on, let's have breakfast, you can wash off that remaining liquor with orange juice."

every single person in bobs burgers is autistic.

-bob: anthropomorphizing utensils and food, not understanding social cues or jokes, savant syndrome, monotone voice, aversion to change (sweet potato fries)

-linda: singing everything (vocal stim), comfort objects (porcelain babies)

-gene: not understanding social cues, getting easily overstimulated (laser light show), musical stims (keyboard), rejection sensitive dysphoria

-tina: OBVIOUSLY autistic. vocal stims (“uuuuhhhhh” and “HA, HA, HA” when nervous), special interests (zombies, equestranauts, horses, jimmy jr), doesn’t get jokes unless they’re explained to her, hyperlexia

-louise: pathological demand avoidance, comfort object (ears), hangs around adults more than kids, doesn’t have many friends (idk if that’s an actual trait it’s just what i do and i am autistic)

-teddy: storytelling all the time even when others find it boring, doesn’t understand cues, has a strict routine (always eating at bob’s), hard time understanding relationship dynamics (thought he was bob’s best friend, bob thought otherwise), freaks out at small changes (no burger of the day, restaurant closed, etc)

-mr. fischoeder: monochromatic wardrobe, doesn’t have a filter, and most importantly, he’s just like me fr

-jimmy jr: doesn’t get tina’s hints, speech impediment, special interest (dancing)

-andy and ollie: stimming (bonking heads, etc), obsessed with each other

My Tina Belcher headcanons that no one asked for:

Is actually a really sickly kid. Like "catches a cold if someone breathes near her" sickly. *pointed look at Wag the Song when Tina is always sick on picture day*

Was a premature baby hence the nickname "Teeny Tina". Had a growth spurt when she was 12 and ended up stooping her posture because her height made her self-conscious.

Would bump into anything as a baby because she couldn't see. Got her first pair of glasses on her 1st birthday and finally saw her parent's faces clearly.

Learnt how to cut her own bangs from a very early age. Her hair is canonically the "fullest in the family" so her bangs grow back with a vengeance every time.

Got a scholarship to a pretty prestigious college after submitting a creative writing piece, but never accepted the offer so she could be closer to home in case she was ever needed #eldestdaughterproblems

Is still super traumatised by the clam car incident and feels like she's being buried alive whenever she sleeps. Developed pretty severe claustrophobia and a fear of the dark afterwards.

Volunteers at the local library most evenings where she reads fairytales to elementary school kids.

Ended up becoming a Thunder Girl's troop leader when she graduated college. Made a decent sum of money after publishing a novel, so could afford to volunteer her time with the Thunder Girls.

Joined the soccer team in high school and had a major glow-up (love this one sm because there's so many others in the fandom who've had the same thought)

Probably runs an MLP blog on this here app and reads/writes B4N fanfics on AO3.

Highkey bisexual and falls in love with any pretty person on the spot.

Could easily beat someone up if she tried, especially if they were messing with either of her siblings (puberty strength and all that).

Got her first period when Linda wasn't home and thought she was dying. Bob was the only one around and spent the day watching The Equestranauts with her and feeding her ice cream.

I absolutely LOVE Tina. She's my favorite character and I can't get over her. However, I generally don't watch lots of Bob's Burgers, so I'd like to know some banger Tina episodes to watch :)
