Accidentally dressed too masc when I went to the salon and the hair stylist gave me a cis guy mullet 😭

#im not mad itll grow back out #its just so jarring looking in the mirror and seeing the Wrong type of mullet on me ahdjsk...#i look like i should be wearing camo and drinking beer in a truck bed now #instead of listening to pink pony club and wearing clothes that make people confused about whether they should call me a dyke or a fag #rambling #had a positive experience there overall tho #very southern old man sitting next to me started talking about trump and i got worried for a minute (i live in the south)#but it turned out he was actually CRITICIZING him for the crimes he committed in office + jan 6 + the way he mishandled covid #then he started talking about how much he would love to see a woman president in his lifetime #and eventually switched over to complimenting the stylists on their skill #and expressing his appreciation for how much work it must take them to learn how to cut hair as well as they do #which was a very wholesome interaction compared to how a lot of other people in the south talk about this stuff
