Ingredients:

Pasta (spaghetti, penne or other) - 300 g

Chicken fillet - 400 g (cut into strips)

Onion - 1 pc. (finely chopped)

Garlic - 2 cloves (chopped)

Cream (20% fat) - 200 ml

Hard cheese - 100 g (grated, for example, Parmesan)

Olive oil - 2 tbsp. spoons

Salt, pepper - to taste

Dry herbs (basil, oregano) - optional

Fresh parsley - for decoration

Preparation:

Prepare the pasta: Bring salted water to a boil in a large saucepan. Add the pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente. Then drain the water, reserving a little (about 1/2 cup) for the sauce.

Fry the chicken: In a large frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add chicken fillet, season with salt and pepper and fry until golden (about 5-7 minutes). Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.

Prepare the sauce: In the same pan, add onion and garlic, fry until transparent. Add cream and remaining water from under the pasta, mix. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat and add the grated cheese, stirring constantly until the cheese has melted and the sauce is creamy.

Mix the ingredients: Return the chicken to the pan with the sauce, add the cooked pasta and dry herbs. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.

Serving: Serve pasta hot, garnished with fresh parsley and additional grated cheese if desired.

as we enter the start of a semester and the dreaded Hour of Making Friends us upon us... if ur ever at a loss for what to say in one of those weird social situations where you only vaguely-know people, one of my favorite questions to ask is "what is your favorite food crime." a food crime is like the food combination that you love that other people find revolting. press them to take it further than pineapple on pizza, that's rote. food crimes is a good topic that has many benefits as it turns out all people are degenerates and also it will give you some cool ideas to try out later in the privacy of your own degenerate kitchen

the other good thing to ask is "okay but has anyone here ever been someplace haunted" bc it turns out if you ask most people directly they don't believe in ghosts, but many people are like "oh yeah i lived in a haunted house. ghosts aren't real tho"

@majorlb after reading @diangelodork's take on the colours in DBDA and their application to colours I am once again on my "Charles and Edwin accidentally on purpose become Crystal's parents" bullshit.

First off to justify looping diangelodork into my messy thoughts, we must acknowledge the obvious Charles=Red, Edwin=Blue, and Crystal=Purple colour themes of the show. Red+Blue=Purple. As diangelodork put it this can relate to how she has similar qualities to both of them including Charles' loyalty and Edwin's wit. Following on that though, we saw at the end of the show that Crystal's parents are rubbish and therefore what I think would really help her grow as a person/character would be loving parental figures. More than messy relationship drama between these three, I would love for the adult ghosts to come to the conclusion that Crystal is a child and needs adults to love and cherish her.

All this to say, I think it would be hilarious (either in canon, or in your version where Charles was dad right away) if Charles heard Crystal yelling on the phone, "I don't need the world! I just need you to act like my dad!" and hanging up. Charles can't pretend he didn't hear it when he walks in, but he can ask, "How do you count cows? With a cowculator." It's terrible but it makes her laugh. It's the beginning of the end for Crystal's actual dad. Charles is going to tell her all the worst jokes from now on, and after that they're going to play catch, and get ice cream.

I want to talk about this page in particular because the implications here are so riveting.

Lavi is currently 19. Allen is believed to be 16.

Which means that either

The Bookmen are lying

Bookman Jr. did die then and Allen either didn't age the first few years or his age got fucked up multiple times before he met Mana

The first seems highly improbable at this point tbh. If the Bookmen were planning to make Allen take the poison to make him remember his past then lying about when Past!Junior (presumably) died seems counterintuitive and would only make Allen mistrust them more once he was in full possession of his memories.

It doesn't seem like Allen de-aged to an infant. He says his earliest memories are from when he was in the circus. Even if he did age back to an infant, he would've needed caretakers and nothing in the story suggests he had any.

(Note how little Allen doesn't have his Innocence in the last panel. What the fuck does this mean Hoshino.)

Allen looks perhaps 4-5 in both of these panels. If Past!Junior died over 19 years ago and Allen aged linearly since then, then he would have to be 23+ by now. Even considering the possibility that he aged back to an infant, he he should be 19+ by now and he looks barely over 17.

We can assume that he must've aged in a somewhat even fashion once he joined the circus because otherwise the performers would've commented on it at some point of time.

What happened in the years between Junior dying and little Allen getting into the circus? Was he in a child's body till he acquired his Innocence? How did he even acquire his Innocence in the first place?

There's also a final possibility that came to me while I was writing this post— Lavi was born while Past!Junior was still alive. He was born with the 'mark' because Past!Junior was no longer fit to be a Junior. I genuinely have no idea how Hoshino will explain this. Will it be some sort of corruption? Memory loss? Chronic illness?

All of them seem equally unlikely options at this point. But so did the possibility of Allen and Bookman Jr. being different people before this chapter :)

Either ways, this was a very intriguing chapter and I'm looking forward to whatever Hoshino has in store for us.
