Nothing to see here, just western europe returning to its roots and having a pogrom to pass the time.
If "You helped the Jew" as a reason for assaulting someone isn't chilling, disturbing, or upsetting to you, you have lost your ability to have empathy for human beings regardless of their ethnicity.

Pogroms in Amsterdam where jews are thrown into rivers in 5⁰C weather and forced to yell slogans to be allowed out. Where jews are beaten bloody and forced to say they're not Jewish for the beating to stop. Where jews are run over by cars. Where jews are forced to hide in hotels as people who want to lynch them storm in. Where law enforcement does nothing and drives right past jews being hunted in the streets.
The protests didn't cause this, right? The violent rhetoric didn't cause this. The active celebration of a massacre didn't cause this. The constant dehumanization and belittlement of Jewish suffering didn't cause this. The lionization of murderers like Nasrallah and Sinwar didn't cause this. The encampments didn't cause this. The historical revisionism and the complete ignorance about the Holocaust didn't cause this. The apathy towards rising antisemitism didn't cause this. Constant deflections and gaslighting when jews tried to speak out about their fears didn't cause this. Accusations of genocide didn't cause this. Comparisons between jews and nazis didn't cause this. Normalized violence against jews under the guise of antizionism didn't cause this. The appropriation and the downplaying of the Holocaust didn't cause this. ALL OF THIS didn't cause this pogrom in Amsterdam on the eve of the anniversary of Kristallnacht, right?!?
Go fuck yourselves, all of you who participated in any of the above, or ignored us when we told you where it was all headed. WE KNEW YOU WERE GOING TO DO THIS. BECAUSE YOU'VE DONE IT IN EVERY GENERATION AND YOU NEVER LEARN

This is still happening. This was organized. Iranian-funded Arab and Turk gangs hid in alleys to ambush and hunt down Israeli citizens leaving the match. Stabbing, assaulting, running over with cars, lynching. The Dutch police ARE ON VIDEO standing by and letting it happen. Israelis on Oct. 7th who escaped the massacre turned around and went back. They turned around and went back into hell on earth to save others, and they died doing it. And now the Dutch police just stand there and let it happen again, without lifting so much as a finger. This is 1938, and this is the opportunity so many people love to talk about -- how they would absolutely(!) hide a Jew and risk their lives to save them. Well, now's your chance, and at so much less risk to yourselves, to boot. You don't have to hide them. You don't even have to rescue Jews -- Israel is already on the way. But no decent person with a breath of air in their lungs should do anything right now but ask Israel, "how can we help?" This is a filthy stain on Amsterdam. This is a black mark on Europe. There needs to be accountability, and there needs to be justice for this. Justice for these innocents, on these terrorists and on every last Dutch police officer who stood back and watched.
A warning, for free:
Zechariah 2:8
For thus says the Lord of hosts: “He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you [Israel]; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye."

Hezbollah rocket somehow slipped past detection and hit an Israeli kindergarten today, and by some miracle no one was hurt.
Just a reminder that it’s not fucking normal for hundreds of daily unprovoked rockets to be fired into civilian areas. Reminder that the Iron Dome is not a perfect system, as demonstrated after the poor slaughtered Druze Arab kids in northern Israel. Reminder that Israel has had to deal with constant terrorism from multiple groups for decades.
And before you hijack my post with a “what about-” Stop. Israel has never fired a rocket first. It has never put a bomb on a school bus. No Israeli citizen has ever been a suicide bomber. At the heart of this conflict is Jew hate, always has been, and it’s meaningless and evil.
If you’re going to send a hostile aircraft into another country, it is going to respond. That’s reality and it’s not unique to one country.
What is unique is the only Jewish-majority country in the world also being the most terrorized country in the world only behind Somalia (not seeing a single person marching out there for Somalian citizens, but I digress).
“Oh but settler colonial imperialist occupier-” Humor me here - even if that were true for the tiny county of Israel, um. Canada exists? America? Australia? ALL OF NORTH AFRICA (colonized by Arabs)?! Please don’t pretend you actually care about colonization, because that argument is laughable. Don’t act like that’s an excuse for terrorism.
“But the Jews-” Yes, the Jews. It’s always about the Jews. Jews this, Jews that. We are not going anywhere.
You want peace in the Middle East? Fighting and calling out antisemitism is a major part of that. Terrorists see shit like Amsterdam and say “see? They love us” and continue to fire rockets from refugee camps, schools, homes, and hospitals in hopes of increasing civilian deaths OF THEIR OWN PEOPLE. They live off PR. Fucking call them out on it.

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte expressed strong condemnation of attacks targeting Israeli citizens and unequivocally supported Israel's right to defend itself. His statement came in response to a large-scale attack launched by Hamas on October 7, 2023. Rutte emphasized the Netherlands' commitment to countering violence by the Hamas terrorist organization and ensuring the safety of the Jewish community in the Netherlands. Local reactions varied, with some cities, like Amsterdam, flying the Israeli flag, while others chose to fly theirs at half-mast in solidarity with civilian victims

Stripping dual nationals of their Dutch passports if they are found guilty of anti-Semitism has been backed by the right-wing Dutch coalition, in the wake of last week’s trouble in Amsterdam. The far-right PVV, the pro-countryside BBB and the right-wing Liberal VVD all came out in favour of the idea during Wednesday’s debate on the football-related violence, in which Israeli nationals were targeted. The fourth coalition party NSC has not yet given a concrete reaction to the plan. Currently people can only be stripped of their Dutch nationality if they are convicted of terrorism offences or form a threat to national security. Anti-Semitism is a form of terror, prime minister Dick Schoof said during the debate. “The aim of terrorism is to make people more afraid,” he said. “You can imagine using the term terrorism to describe what happened last Thursday.” In addition, he said, the cabinet is prepared to investigate whether anti-Semitism can be included as one of the crimes that can lead to someone being stripped of their Dutch passport.

This law would target the people Wilders hates, i.e. Muslims, and is itself a form of state terrorism and racism, intended to crush free speech about Israel's ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people. Wilders will now say it's nothing to do with his Islamophobia, they are antisemitic. How convenient.

It's almost Kingsday, and a group of (mostly) non-Jewish people asked mayors across the country to wear an orange kippah on Kingsday to show their support for the Jewish people and to stand up against the rising antisemitism. The "it's anti-Zionism, not antisemitism!"-group are pissed about this, because to them it means supporting genocide and they call it "Zionist propaganda". People are calling it "provocative." Even though this has nothing to do with Israel, but it's about showing solidarity with the Jewish people here in the Netherlands.
Why is showing solidarity so controversial? Why is it "solidarity with minorities/oppressed (Jews excluded)"? I am not Jewish, so I don't know if this solidarity action is wanted/appreciated, but the backlash against the very idea of showing solidarity with the Jews, is insane and ridiculous.
Antisemitism is on the rise everywhere, and we must stand up against it. We need to show our solidarity with the Jewish people.

Anne Frank statue in Amsterdam defaced with 'Gaza' graffiti, mayor calls for public's assistance

🇺🇸 On July 9, 2024, the statue of Anne Frank in Merwedeplein Park, Rivierenbuurt, Amsterdam, was vandalized with graffiti reading "Gaza," sparking widespread condemnation from Dutch politicians. Amsterdam councilor Stijn Nijssen described it as shameful to use the Holocaust memorial to promote the Palestinian cause. Mayor Femke Halsema called on witnesses to report the incident to the police, and the European Jewish Congress condemned the act as antisemitism and a disrespect to Anne Frank's memory and the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust. This vandalism reflects a significant rise in antisemitic incidents in the Netherlands, which saw a 245% increase in 2023 compared to the previous year.
