This morning at work-

Old guy: (comes up super close to me) so is that a Star of David or just a petty star necklace?

Me: (trying to move out of the way cuz personal space) uh its the Star of David.

Old guy: ok. Are you (and he whispered this next in a weird tone) a Jew???

Me: yes I’m Jewish (while trying to move)

Old guy: if you are Jewish then why are you here with Santa? Doesn’t seem right to me.

Me: (just wanting to get back to work) well it’s part of my job.

Old guy: (gives me a wild/disgusted look)

Somewhere between 400,000 and 500,000 people have died in the Syrian civil war, and it looks like out of the blue Assad has lost the second largest city in the entire country to a coalition of Salafi Jihadists and people being paid by Turkey.

The UN human rights office (bleh, I know) says about 300,000 civilians have been killed so far since 2011.

How is this not trending????? Like I know we said no Jews no news but damn…

Lights of Remembrance

Where the Warsaw Ghetto once stood, Hanukkah candles light the night.

The house at 14 Waliców Street is one of the larger Warsaw Ghetto structures to have remained standing in spite of all the destruction.

The death toll among the Jewish inhabitants of the Ghetto was estimated to be over 300,000 Jews killed.

We remember their light.

My city’s JVP and other pro Palestine groups have been making tons of posts about what’s going on in Syria…. But for all the wrong reasons-

Y’all they are full on supporting the salafi jihadists and claiming that the Zionist (I’m sorry) the Jews and Israel are making all of this up (example: that the salafi jihadists are the bad guys) to distract people from the Palestine “genocide”……
