I saw someone taking a Dara Horn quote where she’s talking about an intracommunity concern — whether or not the way we teach Holocaust education is doing more harm than good — and spin that completely on its head to say that Holocaust education is evil Zionist propaganda to make us all feel bad so we’ll support Israel. At this point they may as well just be full-on Holocaust deniers; there’s a world of difference between saying “the way the Holocaust is taught often has an adverse effect on Jewish students and gives their peers ideas about how to harass them more” and “the evil Zionists are trying to make us feel bad for the Jews so they can get away with child murder.” Even thoughtful intracommunity conversations get taken and twisted until they’re unrecognizable; there’s absolutely nothing that won’t be appropriated For The Greater Good.

I remember during Charlottesville, I was so angry and horrified that someone would say that six million wasn’t enough. I’ve felt that same horror and anger every day this year, and I’m tired.

When you can no longer adopt being LGBTQA

When you cannot get married LGBTQA

No contraception (no condoms, no pills, nothing), even though the pill medicines are often used to fight other things people with the uterus' face such as bad cramping, having bad acne, having mood swings, even bleeding twice (which can lower iron levels).

No more actual education being taught in schools no more talk of any negatives your country did to other races.

Doctors will all be easily able to refuse care to nearly anyone they please, even if that person will die without their intervention.

Mandalorians as Jewish Allegory

First of all, we have this quote right here:

If you just replace the word Mandalore with Israel, it is a completely plausible thing for a Jewish person to say.

Anyway, on to my essay:

History:

Both Mandalorians and Jews have an indigenous homeland that is intrinsic to their culture and belief system, (Mandalore and Israel respectively). Throughout their entire history, they have been consistently under attack from various regimes seeking to commit genocide against them, (Jedi, Empire for Mandalorians, Romans, Nazis, Soviets, Arab colonialism for Jews), and yet each group has managed to remain alive and retain their culture. The Siege of Mandalore has a lot of parallels to the destruction of the Temple, and the Mandalorian Purges are very similar to the antisemitic Pogroms. Both groups are forced out of their indigenous homelands and into a diaspora, under which they are consistently hunted and attacked. Eventually, both groups regain control of their homeland from the colonizers who held previous rule over it.

Culture:

Mandalorians are either born into the culture or adopt the Creed, which is similar to born Jews and Converts. There are groups of Orthodox Mandalorians, such as the Children of the Watch, who observe the traditional laws regarding the Creed, as well as headcoverings, (similar to Orthodox Jewish people). In contrast, there are also more liberal factions of both Mandalorians and Jews. There are specific foods and religious clothing associated with both groups, their own languages, their own mythical beasts. Also, both cultures have a ceremonial bath/Mikvah associated with rituals and conversion.

Overall, I think it's fair to say that Mandalorians are an excellent allegory for Jewish people. Mandalorians are Space Jews. You can't change my mind.

- the Star of David is not a hate symbol or a symbol for fascism.

- anti Zionism has heavy antisemitic roots. It was created during the Soviet era (by the Soviets) as a way to destroy Jewish culture and religion. First it started with bans and then over time Russian Jews were imprisoned/killed/ or exiled for being Jewish. Oh just a little fact but the Soviets turned on the anti Zionist crowds too. Other countries started to adopt the idea of anti Zionism as a way to “deal with the Jewish problem”. Why? Cuz a lot of countries hates Jews. That is why anti Zionism = antisemitism. - Zionism does not mean that you are an evil, blood thirsty monster who only wants to kill arabs. (The fact that I have to say this is really sad). Zionism is a packed term but pretty much it means that us Jews has a right to our own nation (which is Israel because that is our homeland). We are also just super proud of being Jewish and that we are doing what we can to make sure that “never again means never again”. Oh to add but a lot of us Zionist Jews hates this war and that we also want Palestine free (free from Hamas control).

Y’all I have a lot of thoughts (and I need to get them out of my head)! So I’m almost done with Agatha all along (which is an awesome show btw (lowkey wish they picked a Jewish actor for Billy but that’s just my opinion- no hate on Joe) anyway… I have theories or potential canon events that may have happened???? Not quite sure if it’s been addressed or talked about??? Okay so here me out-

Death has now been introduced (she’s fucking awesome btw). And you know how if someone is dying or dead- death is usually waiting beside them to guide them over to the other side. Right? Don’t think about how-

- deaths first time meeting wanda was when her and pietros parents were killed after the missiles hits her home. Instantly killing her parents and nearly killing her and pietro.

- deaths second time meeting wanda was when pietro died.

- deaths third time meeting wanda was when wanda “died” during the snap.

I want to talk about this one a bit more cuz I have lots of thoughts and feelings. So death is a powerful figure, right? What if she sensed that something big and bad was going to happen? She knew it was coming but had no idea when or what it could be. When the snap happened- the people who turned to dust pretty much died. Don’t think about how death was so overwhelmed with feeling all of those deaths. Don’t think about how many people she had to “guide” over to an afterlife- if they even got one (not sure if there was an afterlife for people who were dusted- maybe there was?) Don’t think about how tortured and depressed death was when she had to do the difficult job with explaining to people (who was dusted) what had happened to them. G-d that must have really fucked her up… and those five years- damn. And then Natasha sacrificing herself for the soul stone- and death watching… Don’t think about it.

- deaths last(?) time meeting wanda was when wanda sacrificed herself so that she could destroy the dark hold. Death waited for her and (this is my head canon) greeted her with a huge hug cuz death knew that wanda went through hell most of her life…

Just don’t think about it… actually do. It was my problem and now I’m making it everyone’s problem. If this really did happen- like holy shit… please get death therapy and a huge hug. She fucking needs it.
