Okay so I haven't seen Transformers One yet (just had midterms) but honestly from the bits i've seen of it - from movie clips on tiktok to some of the hilarious promo stuff they have Bee do - i'm ABSOLUTELY in love with it. some of my favorite stuff i've seen are the little, more niche details i don't see enough of that really show how much care has actually been put into the movie. don't worry, no spoilers for the actual movie - mostly about official promo clips and such.

for example, i saw a bit of an interview where it's said the animation team all grew up with transformers, and were even fighting to animate their favs. there was also another interview i saw where someone - i believe a story boarder/director - seemed genuinely pretty sad that they couldn't do the Megatron gladiator and Orion Pax archivist backstories because it would make the movie too long. like, there is just so much genuine love for the franchise that makes the movie so good and so interesting its crazy like ahduaogeuaisahe

alright alright so enough of my rant i know some of y'all are here for the x reader stuff soooo here's some TF One headcanons! also do keep in mind that this is from my very limited knowledge of the movie characters so prob oc? if they were to somehow meet humans

first off, he's such a silly guy and so adhd coded

but honestly, as a human, be just a bit careful around him, seeing as he accidentally knife-handed quite a few people, and some on purpose

he'd either be as clumsy as he is with his friends that he built, or would literally be too scared to get within touching distance of a human

if you want to get closer to him, honestly just listen to him - with some small input here and there to show you're listening - and he'd want to hang around you a lot more

really, just be nice, don't baby him, and let him yap as much as he wants - bonus points if you sometimes yap to him as well, i'm sure he'd be a great listening, with a lot of input from him, of course

Elita One

honestly, i wish i knew or could tell more about her, but any clips or trailers i've seen her in are pretty limited glimpses into her character

the trait i see the most from these glimpses however, is how she's ambitious and diligent

she'd probably respect you a great deal if you're as ambitious and diligent as she is, and would probably be a bit proud if you compliment her work ethic as well

i think she'd like someone who matches her, aiming for higher goals with the work and strength to prove it - especially since you're a human

bonus points if you can kick ass as well

similar case to Elita, except i think i have a bit more to go off of, considering how much he shows up in promo trailers and stuff

honestly, kinda hard for me to say?

again, i think he'd appreciate someone similar to him, considering how much time he spends with orion, it'd be a nice change of pace

someone who won't take bs, maybe a teeny bit of malicious compliance, and someone who doesn't try to hide their opinions

considering how mush shit miners seem to take from those who can transform, seeing someone else - especially some smaller, squisher being - being proactive and not taking shit, he'd probably be interested

ok so only doing orion pax and not optimus prime because in total i've only seen like 3 clips of him as optimus soooo yea

i could see him with a jokester kind of person, but also with a more calm caretaker kind of person as well

being a jokester with him would be fun, and he'd probably have no problem with carrying you around to places for plans

being a calm caretaker would possibly be a little more stressful, but still fun with him nonetheless

either way, he'd still be somewhat careful, keeping in mind that he is much larger and sturdier than humans are

just don't play dead on him please, he'd genuinely freak out and run you over to D-16 and ask him what's wrong (D-16 probably won't find it nearly as funny lol)

youre absolutely right! like personally i can't really get into any other rpf because like, it HAS hurt online creators / modern celebs in and it would be foolish to act like it doesn't have that power ykwim? but bc dnp have stated that they're fine with it and have even embraced it on some level, and especially because we all have much better established boundaries (as in both dnp AND we as an audience have set boundaries wrt fan content), and because dnp are actually queer, i do feel a lot better about rpfing them lol. but that's not to say rpfers that don't have explicit consent from creators are evil like dont worry yall i still believe in "rpf is fine!" i think it really is about having the understanding that rpf is meant to be separate from the real people being written about. i mean if you really think about it, it's not like it was all fic writers themselves tweeting at dnp to read their smut. it was people who saw this insane crack fic about dnp having gory bloody sex involving a hamster, and being like "omg this shit is so weird and gross and horrible dan and phil have to see it and react to it." (but that fic is maybe a bad example because it was MEANT to be shocking and horrible and not like. an earnest exploration of a taboo sexual experience or some shit.)

like, rpf's modern reputation is BECAUSE the primary fics that have garnered any attention are the ones that are meant to be shocking and weird and freak people out. and there's exceptions to everything i say and i wasn't involved in 2012-2016 phandom culture so i'm sure there were plenty of people being like hey dnp read my relatively wholesome 20k fluff smut fic that makes references to that video that you want everyone to pretend doesnt exist, but just based on being friends with a lot of people who were involved in the phandom at that time, that definitely was not the case with every or even most fic authora or fanartists.

i mean, one of the reasons dnp became the tag and acronym people used was to separate the community from the phan tag because people knew that dnp were well aware of that tag. and now they know about dnp so it's kind of a moot point, but i think it's important to establish that, while we are better at respecting their boundaries nowadays, THEY also respect OUR boundaries. they don't go diving into tags intentionally unless they are making content about it, and even then it is an opt-in process where WE can send them stuff that we do want them to see! and that's an extremely important part of this audience-creator relationship that we do have this mutual respect of each other, and mutual understanding of bants toward each other (they can mock us for being giddy about them touching, but we can also be like "damn yall are really obsessed with touching each other thats crazy...." and there's, for the most part, an understanding that we're just teasing and being silly like it's cute that they touch and they like being close but we can joke about it)

SHIPPER GAME TAG

It seems like @lurkingshan has tagged me to unveil all the skeletons in my fandom closet so let's go and dig them up! Word of warning, I had very patchy media access up until my 20s (I could watch about 5ish things on TV and one of them was the news) so some of my ships are uh, niche.

1. What ship were you completely obsessed with when you were a teenager, but now you don't care anymore?

Damon and Elena from The Vampire Diaries. I had such a weird relationship with this show given that I couldn't actually watch the actual episodes and instead had to watch the curated shipping clip compilations but yeah, I was very into these two for most of my teen years. Now my tastes have changed drastically and I'm no longer into this couple or the show so.....

2. Which ship do you consider your first one?

I was going to say Percy and Annabeth but then I remembered Luke and Maria from The Sarah Jane Adventures. Admittedly a very niche couple but they're the first time I can remember coming across a pairing on screen and going "They Are More Than Friends I Must Find More". Unfortunately there wasn't much more to find but I still think their relationship was cute.

3. Your first fanfic belonged to which couple?

Another niche couple but Ruth and Jay from Casualty. There wasn't much but I poured over the 10ish fics I could find and frequently checked if there was anything new for them on FF.net or wherever it is I'd managed to find them.

Damn I want to go rewatch their scenes again, I wonder if the compilations are still on Youtube?

4. Do you remember the first couple you saw a fan art over?

I don't remember the first couple I saw Fanart for but I can tell you the first Fanart I remember coming across and that was Percy Jackson. There is a particular style popular among fanartist for the series and I loved it then and I still love it now.

5. Did you ever get into ship discourse?

Only with friends haha. I think the first time I can properly remember having a discussion with people about a ship was the Peeta/Katniss/Gale triangle, I spent a lot of time ranting to my poor friends that of course it was going to end up being Peeta and Katniss because they fit the "Final Couple of a Teen Lit Romance" pattern down to a tee so rooting for Gale was useless (I was very pleased to be proven right, my pattern theory was just starting out back then).

6. Did you have any no-otp or have it currently?

I won't lie, I used to really struggle with ships that broke up canon ships. Like really, really struggle. I knew then and I recognise even more now that this was linked to my own issues with being overly loyal to just about anything but yeah, I couldn't cope with non-canon ships that broke up the canon ships, even if I didn't like the canon ships.

In regards to specific ships? Anything involving Hermione (none of the men were good enough for her in teen me's opinion).

7. Who were the couple in the last fanfic you read?

..... Ummm Erestor/Glorfindel anyone?

8. Currently, do you have any OTPs?

As @lurkingshan said in her own post, OTPs are eternal. My first OTP was probably Percy and Annabeth and I'd still fight monsters for them. More recent additions to the pack are Andrea and Gyeol-Wool from Hospital Playlist and Uea and King from Bed Friends.

9. Is there any couple that, to this day, you are extremely mad about not getting together?

MARIA AND BLOODY LUKE 😤

In all seriousness, none spring to mind but only because I tend to blot these things from my memory.

10. Is there any ship you used to dislike but now you think they are kind of interesting?

I may have the memory of a sieve for couples I dislike but I also hold grudges against storytelling wrongs so probably not, if I didn't like them then it's likely I still don't like them.

11. Do you have any ship that, in the past, was considered normal but now you would be cancelled over.

I'm going to continue the Brian and Justin trend here because I'm sure many people would be uncomfortable with the age gap now but, as Shan puts it best, "women in queer spaces often struggle to account for the totally different culture and power dynamics between m/m pairings".

12. What was your favourite crack ship?

I don't really do crack ships but I often think about the fact that, somewhere out there on the internet, there is a fanfic about Snape and a teletubby. I've never read it, I don't want to, but the thought does make me giggle (perhaps slightly nervously, I'm not sure).

13. Who is the couple you read more fanfics of?

I tend to go in both fads and cycles so it'll be a mix of fanfic linked to what I'm currently watching/reading (if it seems ficable) and pairings whose fics I know I'll enjoy. That being said I did once get so deep into Stucky that I obsessively researched life in inter-war New York so quite possibly them.

14. What do most of your ships have in common?

I wouldn't say I have a specific type of ship that I like but I am a total sucker for ships where it feels like they help each other become better people, both in little things and in the big things.

15. What do you absolutely hate in a ship?

When I don't understand why they're together.

The Newsletter #2: Feeling Stuck

Oh boy, here we go.

I am twenty years old. A baby. Barely a dent made in the experience known as life, and yet feeling stuck is one of the biggest issues I battle through on a daily basis.

I know for a fact this is a common thing, because I've talked about it with so many people my age. Social media has us tricked into thinking we have to have everything figured out by the time we're thirty, that if we aren't living our best lives as soon as we're out of our teenage years, we're doomed. And it would be so easy for me to come on here and tell you that isn't true, but nobody will believe it, because we're all too far gone by now.

This blog post is really just going to be a rant about this phenomenon. I don't know if there will be some grand realisation at the end of it, so we'll see where it takes us.

My dream is to be self-employed. A writer, preferably, whether that be blog writing, or novel writing, or journalism - I just want to write, and have that writing pay the bills. At the moment, I work as a care assistant, and as much as I adore my duty and have so much pride in the fact I take care of others for a living, it really isn't what I want to be doing. I hate waking up at six in the morning, leaving my house in the freezing cold to go work a twelve hour shift. I hate it. It's such a direct contrast to my dream of waking up every morning, making a coffee and trudging into my office to start commissions, or drafting, or whatever writing term will be appropriate at that stage.

There are nights when I can't sleep because I'm so upset with the life I'm living right now. I will sit up into the early hours of the morning, Googling different ways to just start chasing my dreams, and I'll get this massive burst of motivation to really start and really put the effort in, but it's so, so difficult. Getting traction for this kind of thing takes a long time, and it's hard for me to keep that motivation up for that amount of time. It's my own fault, but I feel like I can't help it, and then I end up back at square one.

This blog was - in ways - an attempt at building my dream career. It took me a while to figure out my niche, but I eventually settled on the whole self-care, mental health side of things, because that's what I'm interested in, and that's what I'm knowledgeable about. I told myself I would stay consistent with this blog, and see where it took me - and so far I think I've done okay, though there is always room for improvement. My following here has been growing, and I really enjoy making these blog posts for you all, so I suppose that's an upside.

But at the end of the day, I am still living pretty unfulfilled. I'm not afraid to admit that. I take commissions from people who like my writing (message me if you're interested ;)) which I'm so grateful for, and that's the kind of thing I want to be doing - I just want to be doing it on a bigger scale, and that's where I struggle. I don't know how to reach that bigger scale. It feels like I'm working so hard, but in the end, I realistically have no idea what I'm doing, and nothing is working.

Do you read/reread your own fics? Is there a fic that got a different response than you were expecting? Have you ever deleted an entire scene after spending hours laboring over it? If so, why? Do you know how your fic will end before you start writing?

Oh my days these are such cool questions!! Hang on let me answer each one separately!

Do you read/reread your own fics? Yes!! The author has good taste in tropes and has the exact same headcanons as me HAHAHA - but seriously, yes I do! I think a lot of authors do this, because fundamentally I write ideas that I want to see, so yeah I definitely read my own stories. I quite often end up rereading chapters of things if someone comments on that chapter a long while after it posted (like with campervan for example), and this usually happens because I'm trying to remember exactly what happened in the chapter that the comment is talking about haha, but then I often sort of go 'oh hey, this is actually decent writing' SKKSKS which is a nice surprise. Or I find a horrendous typo that somehow myself and my beta managed to miss hahaha

Is there a fic that got a different response than you were expecting? I think recently the fic that surprised me the most in terms of response was Translation Notes, simply because I was just not expecting that many people to read it HAHA - like, I feel like around when I posted it, it felt like things were pretty quiet in the thirteen side of the fandom, so it was just really exciting to get lots of people comment and react to the fic that I hadn't seen before! And I had a bunch of people talking about how they used to be really into Gallifreyan conlangs and just getting excited about what I'd done, which was just really lovely but also surprised me! The other one that has surprised me is Campervan AU as a whole, because when you think about it, it's actually a very specific and niche au haha, it's like human au, investigative journalist au, oh but there's amnesia too etc. etc. so I did genuinely think that not that many people would read it. The response to part 1 absolutely blew me away. And then, since then it's been amazing!! I think the response to part 6 in particular also blew my mind a bit because I didn't know how many people would still be interested in an au that started back in 2020 hahaha, but so many people showed up and commented, which was AMAZING <3 And the fact that people are still finding and binging their way through this series also boggles my mind hahaha like how!? Have you ever deleted an entire scene after spending hours labouring over it? If so, why? Yeah lol. One time I cut out an entire 3k word section - and I'm glad that I did because it wasn't working, and it meant that I was writing myself into a corner, and just getting stuck. Sometimes you have to be brutal - though, I will say, I very rarely fully delete stuff. I always prefer 'cryofreeze your darlings' over 'kill your darlings', and so I have a 'deleted bits' document for all my fics which means that I can always go back and pinch good sentences if need be.

Do you know how your fic will end before you start writing? Not always! I usually have a rough idea of where I'm heading, but sometimes I'm just along for the ride to see what happens. With my recent fic Disarmed, for example, I knew where I wanted to end up at the end of chapter 5 (which is the main climax of the story - chapter 6 is more of a very long epilogue haha), but I didn't know the ins and outs of how I was going to get there. And, actually, it turned out that a rant the Doctor had off-hand back in chapter 3 was actually crucial to the plot, which I had no idea about at the time when I wrote it HAHA but the further in I got, the more I was like 'wait.......she was talking about xyz thing which is actually important!!'. I think the best example of a fic where I had NO idea what was going on as I wrote it is probably but mirrors don't lie (there's no other side), which is one that I'm so fond of because I really felt like I was discovering the story as it went along. All I knew about the 'ending' was the little flash memory that keeps showing up throughout - that was IT. I had no idea how things ended up there or what was going to happen. I was along for the ride as much as the characters were hahaha. With stuff like Campervan AU, it tends to be more that I know less about what's going to happen, and a lot more about what has happened - so, I know exactly what happened in the backstory, and how that's going to impact everything, and I know what's going on around the main plot (for the most part). But the plot itself? More of a mystery. Keeps it more fun, that way. Although, of course, I do have the guide-rope of the actual episode that each story is based off when it comes to this one, which helps as well to keep me on track.

YES and i’ve honestly contemplated making a whole list of characters i want to see snz art/fics/etc of, so i guess this is my cue to do just that lol

i plan on posting content of some of these characters myself probably, most likely art bc as much as i want to post fics here, writing snz fics is actually sooo difficult for me like i can’t keep up with the plot for anything rip

sil/ent h/ill; okay so honestly i have one specific game that i care about in terms of snz content and that’s sh4. like all the main characters would work tbh but bc this is me we’re talking about wa/lter su/llivan is my man. evil pathetic meow meow

the e/vil wi/thin; ru/vik is too much of a sexy loser for us not to be snzifying him. also his nose is really hot sooooooo… (i also think le/slie would be v cute with a snzy cold but i want to make it abundantly clear that i would never intend to infantilize him as much of the mid-2010s general fandom did, nor would i want to sexualize the abuse he suffered in ANY way. there’s too much nuance to portraying his character than i should get into here)

those are really like my big 3 of horror games i can think of bc most of the other games i’m into i can’t really picture any of the characters in snz context at all tbh? but any less popular fandoms (or just unpopular on snzblr) would definitely interest me so this is just my way of saying pleeeeeease make content of characters from whatever niche fandoms y’all are into! i will always eat it up!!!!

Someone should write a fic that is just criminal minds, but everyone is a little kinder to Reid whenever he shows autistic traits.

Like, I've been binge rewatching the show and the amount of times the team will just stay completely silent when he makes a slightly awkward/niche/not-quite-neurotypical joke, or when he infodumps, is getting to me. And that's when they don't outright do something mean, like walk away half-way though an infodump (when you think about it, Seaver's infamous 'sorry that I asked' is not so different from Morgan's 'taking back the last five minutes of my life'). And even just the amount of times they know Reid doesn't understand something and no one bothers to include him.

My favourite interaction is when Reid is talking about love in the scene with the wind chimes made of bones - Hotch asks 'what is love' (which is already more engagement than the team gives Reid most of the time) and the wonderful, amazing Emily actually shows interest in it! Like, she makes comments and adds stuff to what Reid's saying!

My point is I want more scenes like that, if only in fanfic. I want to see the characters interact with Reid when he's talking about something he cares about, smile even if they don't get his jokes, find his rants endearing even when they don't care about the subject, and get excited to watch Fantasmagoria with him bc, come on, that sounds like fun!

Hey! I have a ridic niche poetry / gpt complaint & you are possibly the only person I know of who shares this weird mashup of interests so I'm sending you this ask, feel free to ignore my word vomit / thoughts on yaoi, etc.

So ok, here's the thing: obviously chatgpt has changed the landscape wrt ai-generated text (for the worse, IMO) & given the spam that, say, Clarksworld, saw as a result I think it makes sense for journals & mags to bar submissions of work that wholly or partially uses ai, especially in the short term as norms & best practices around usage get sorted out. But today I was doing submission research & ran across a poetry place that bars it explicitly because they consider anything that uses ai text generation (out of any platform not just chat got) to be plagiarism. And, like. I have so many frustrations with this.

Because, yes, a person can use ai in a plagiaristic way, to create digital forgeries & the like, but like (a) by painting all uses as plagiarism it becomes harder to call out specific unethical uses, as well as make it harder to establish good boundaries for what constitutes ethical usage & best practice & (b) while I think there are many questions to be asked about training sets & what material is fair game for the companies making these models to use, I'm skeptical that output from models that haven't been fine-tuned with a specific person's work can constitute plagiarism. If you can't name a specific artist who's work is being plagiarized then that feels like it fundamentally can't be called plagiarism? Like, sure, if you want to say it's unethical in other ways, that feels fair, but is the idea that, what, any text that has been generated using ai is plagiarizing everyone? I don't think the basic premise holds; a better thing would be to say that ai is banned because of unanswered questions surrounding the datasets the model was trained on, or general ethics or whatever.

Anyway, I guess what I'm really annoyed about is the best criticisms of chatgpt & similar have largely come from people who actually have been doing interesting things with gpt / ai for years & some of the worst / most counterproductive takes seem to be coming from places like this which repeat Twitter takes without understanding the underlying issues. Aaaaand /rant.

yeah i really feel you here - every time i see people talk about how AI can never make literature~ or whatever i feel like saying. it already has, just maybe not in the way you're thinking, or the way tech people with no real involvement with lit think it will, should, can.

so much of poetry & avant-garde literature and art of the last century has been made by cutting up and appropriating text or images found elsewhere, through chance operations, through bots and markov chains and generative software... the idea that ~AI (a misnomer of a term honestly) poetry, computer-generated poetry, is new is funny to me. i saw an exhibition in 2019 in vienna with this installation that dates back to 2001... the first fully autonomous poetry generator. the issue with the current state of things is like -- not about the whole concept of computer-generated or computer-aided poetry! but, like! with these increasingly large language models made by scraping the whole internet...

I could tell from your posts that you value accuracy to canon when dealing with fan content about characters, so I was curious to see if the new character information released since 2022 has affected how you view it.

To be honest, that quiz was always meant to be more on the wish fulfillment side for the readers, because that kind of quiz is usually taken by younger, more sensitive people as a whole and it's hard to do more nuanced takes in that format.

I also can't really have my usual interests be more obvious like I can on tumblr and AO3.

It was kind of my way of trying to do what older fans had done for me back in the Quizilla days. (RIP Quizilla, gone but never forgotten.) I actually preferred the edgy, in-character variants even back then, but the TWST fandom on tumblr is very...

Let's just say I'm very hesitant to interact with most TWST fans first, unless they post similar things, and that I've gotten anon hate just for posting that quiz while being a yandere/OBM!/adult (as in age) writer.

That being said, the point allocation was intended to be fairly accurate without any cheat answers, and I didn't wanna sugar coat the results too much.

Some characters are easier to "game" than others, and some have broader or more niche tastes, but if you're not careful you could get Sebek or Vil instead of Riddle for example.

Also, Idia and Jade are pickier than Rook and Floyd and the points try to take into account what the player would want as well.

I've adjusted the point spread a lot since then at different times.

A tiny bit due to new characterizations, but mostly because the point spread system is annoying to work with and because I realized not everyone will read the questions and answers the same way.

You also can't do negatives, which would've helped the quiz be a lot more accurate, but what can you do?

I actually really regret accidentally contributing to the whole "crybaby" Azul and thought about it re-doing his result soon after posting.

I've actually been thinking about it again recently, but I kinda don't want to take away what people are used to either.

I had initially thought that was a joke/affectionate bullying, but I found out not too long after that a lot of people seem to genuinely think that Azul cries over everything, despite canon saying that he's changed.

It seems like poor Azul has been hit with a double dose of woobification and ukeification by the fandom, and I'm not a fan. He's a pos (affectionate) like the rest of them, and I'd like him less if he wasn't.

Tbh, I actually think he's one of the most morally bankrupt in the entire cast, along with the Tweels and Leona. Like, he's dealing in literal, violence enforced slavery whereas Jamil is trying to escape it for example.

(I also hate what the Eng localization has done to poor Jamil, but that's another rant.)

Also, Rook has said a lot of questionable things to Vil and I'm unsure as to what the intentions were. Like, is Rook negging Vil when he points out millimeters of weight gain? Is it supposed to be a normal, "positive" thing because Japan loves to glorify EDs?

It makes the VDC thing look really bad too, not the actual vote itself, but all of his other actions imo.

I'm leaning towards Rook being manipulative tbh, because he has a pattern of it, already really disrespects non-humans, and is very socially savvy and close to Vil. (This isn't bashing btw, I still love Rook as a character.)

Otherwise, not much has changed other than me getting more comfortable with the characters and fandom I suppose?

I'm guessing you're caught up as an Idia fan? Good choice btw, and if you are the one that sent the Idia ask dw, I'll try my best to fulfil it too.

Tbh, I'm actually really disappointed that his parents are actually really cutesy. And, speaking as vaguely as possible, I honestly don't like the new fae lore in Ch 7 either.

I feel like Yana has suddenly decided to start downplaying the more serious, heavy tones and I'm not quite sure why? Maybe to ease players into a slightly more romantic slice of life continuation after the main story ends?

Idk maybe it was always planned, but I feel like it makes Idia seem a bit more like a generic whiny teenager. I still love him, but I choose to ignore that part of canon and give him more distant parents who are still struggling with grief and their work.

But feel free to disagree, I don't mind at all. It's just nice to have someone to talk about TWST with too!

Hi, it’s my first time ranting here. I'm a little nervous, but I wanted to share a few things I've been feeling recently.  

Does anyone ever get really put off of a roleplay based on how the person talks ooc? I’ve had several experiences lately where I feel we aren't meshing but I wonder if maybe I'm just being too picky or too mean? 

The first situation, I just feel that this person isn't very mature, or maybe they don't have a lot of experience writing, but their ideas feel very juvenile to me. They don't seem to have a good grasp of the canon we’re writing, their oc is very overpowered, and they can't offer anything to the plotting of our rp that isn't jokes or memes. 

I feel bad for being judgemental, but i don't know how i’m going to write with them when it already seems like their oc isn't what i’m looking for, they characterize the canon characters really differently than they’re normally portrayed, and our personalities don't seem to mesh. 

The second situation is different, we moved to the writing stage really fast and the rp itself is so good. I love both romances we’re writing (it’s a double up), we have a lot of good stuff planned, and it’s hitting a very niche interest of mine. 

However, ooc is not nearly as good. This person talks about their real life nonstop- i don't mind occ chatting, but they lay out every bad experience they’ve had, all their drama, everything they do during the day, etc. it feels very overwhelming to me, and i really wish they didn't have to dump so much on me? But I know they’re very sensitive to rejection so I'm nervous to say anything.

silly fandom rant

I really like prongsfoot because - like their fans point out every 5 minutes - they make a lot of sense in the canon material. But god, I like them everywhere but /here/.

I imagine how frustrating it is to be a canon marauders fan and have 90% of the fandom creating content that just dismisses almost everything we see in the books but good god doing this, as shoking as it may sound, is not a crime. No one here is a bad person for getting into this fandom thru fanfics and basing their characters interpretations on those same fanfics.

I love the canon marauders and I LOVE when ppl write or draw them like they really are because, on my mind, the more you create content the more popular it gets and then the more ppl get to know that actually we do have a lot of info about them and those informations are fun and more interesting to play with!

Then I get to the canon enjoyres /here/ and, I don't know how to say this but, it all just seems like high morals assholes (and i'm not talking about people that critiscize the closeted racism and homophobia in this fandom cause you guys are completely right)

The reason why I started this rant mentioning prongsfoot is because it's annoying to me that part of the content of a ship that I enjoy is just people going on and on about how they make more sense over other ships and how everyone that doesn't ship them are silly and wrong because obviously their relationship is sooo hinted on the books.

And it gets more annoying because, like I said, if I like something I want it to be more popular and for it get more content. But making posts and posts about how much everyone else is stupid for not liking the canon material is not going to make people like it better.

for example, I don't really care if wolfstar fans are annoying about them and make other people dislike them because they have plenty of content already so it's whatever.

Anyway, all the love for people that create content for small niche parts of this fandom and seems to actually enjoy what they do. I hope they use this energy to make this fandom a fun and interesting place and end up atracting more people to see their amazing creations.

Also, I feel bad for anyone who is fan of those niche fandom stuff but I don't feel bad at all for the annoying ones that have half their accounts set on being haters. It must be sad as hell and im not even being sarcastic
