RTD says fans who don’t like watching him take a piss over Doctor Trans are “crybabies”
I mean, he’s got a point. The British people have absolutely no choice about paying him to shit all over their country. If you don’t pay RTD, men with guns will come, kill your dogs, and drag you away. Then you will cry - as he laughs.
Unless you find a way to avoid the license, of course. Here’s advice from 2019 - perhaps it is out of date?
How can I legally avoid paying a TV licence fee?
Steve doesn’t watch TV and wants to stop paying the UK licence fee, but now it applies to smartphones, consoles and the BBC iPlayer app on a
the Guardian
“ You still have to buy a licence if you only watch live streams from Mongolia’s Eagle TV channel. “
It’s important to remember the government is largely unelected. It consists of soulless bureaucrats sitting in windowless office, year after year, until they eventually die and are replaced, and the only joy they find in their lives is when they make someone else more miserable.
The license was sold to the British public on the grounds that they would only have to pay it because they were watching the BBC. It was always a little bit of a lie, but year after year has made it bigger and bigger, and now it is crowding Jupiter out of the skies.
Who watches the BBC now? Voluntarily, I mean.

Just remember - if you don't pay the BBC, Russell T Davies can't piss in your mouth. Think of his kidneys, you bigots! ______________ Tumblr kept rejecting the post when i tried to publish - but accepted it as a draft. So presumably it didn't have a technical problem but was triggering some list of banned words. I rephrased some things, and it let me publish. Very interesting. Is RTD protected, or is it more a matter of Disney being a sponsor for Tumblr? Disney owns Doctor Who now - which is weird and disturbing, because it kinda defeats the entire purpose of the BBC's existence.

I finally found a doctor that would remove my uterus and I had him preserve it in a jar for me. I gave it to a woman with a trans flag pin that said ‘MTF’ and told her the next time some idiot transphobe told her 'real women have a uterus’, she could now reply with 100% honesty that she, in fact, did have a uterus and the transphobe could die mad about it.

Support the BBC for having a trans character in recent episodes of 'Doctor Who'
Apparently the BBC (UK) has had 144 complaints about a recent episode of Doctor Who because it contained an openly trans character.
Tumblr media
I've made a complaint to the BBC that there weren't enough transgender characters in Doctor Who. I would love if 144 other people did the same thing. Here's the link: https://www.bbc.co.uk/contact/complaints/make-a-complaint/#/Complaint
(For your easy reference: "The Star Beast" aired on 25/11/2023 on BBC One, and the trans character is called Rose.)
Please note that the complaint form asks for your UK postcode, so only UK folks can join in with this - but if you suspect you might have any UK-based followers, maybe give us a reblog to boost the signal?
Edit: I'm told that you can fill in the form even if you're outside of the UK, because the BBC provide service to many countries other than the UK, including the USA! Go for it. :D
Reply to confirm that you've done it, so I can keep a count!
Here's my complaint:
Tumblr media
I recommend:
Avoid sarcasm or irony. Assume your post will be taken literally. If you are clearly joking or being mean you will be ignored or misunderstood.
Include some gratitude/appreciation. It's pretty great that they included a trans woman in a positive way, and they should know that they have explicit support for that.
~
Edit again: I'm seeing some concerns in the replies/reblogs that the BBC might not distinguish between "less trans people, please" complaints and "more trans people, please" complaints. Rest assured, this is nothing to worry about - the BBC publish fortnightly complaint reports, and they do pay enough attention to know when a complaint is in favour of or against trans inclusion. In fact, their 20 November – 3 December 2023 report is where the various news articles are getting the 144 complaints figure; that report says there were precisely 144 complaints that they have categorised as "Anti-male / inappropriate inclusion of transgender character".
That means the next complaints fortnight window is 4 December - 17 December. We have 8 more days to beat 144. By my count, over Tumblr, WhatsApp, the Fediverse and Telegram, we have 85 so far, which is well over halfway there.
Also, when you've done it, please reply to confirm you have done it, so that I can count us!
Thank you, everyone!
~
Edit, 2023-12-11, 1am UK time:
We did it! I've just been counting up responses, and it looks like sometime yesterday evening we hit 144 complaints/comments in favour of Rose Noble and more excellent trans characters in Doctor Who! (We're actually up to 157 now, fantastic.)
So, my next plan is to submit a Freedom of Information Act request to the BBC sometime in the next few days, asking for complaints and compliments figures. Then I'd ideally (energy and time permitting) like to put together a press release that I can send out to the publications that promoted the tiny "144 anti-trans complaints" figure, showing them that there has been far more feedback in favour of trans representation than against.
I'll keep you posted.

Is it just me or does this line hit different when you remember that David Tennant actually has a non-binary kid who uses they/them pronouns, and has worn this non-binary rainbow pin to a bunch of interviews in support of them—?

[Update] David Tennant continues his trend of being a trans ally respectful & supportive of non-binary people & gender neutral pronouns in the Doctor Who Special: The Star Beast (2023)

American trans men prior to the mid 20th century were like. I’m going to get into shootouts with the sheriff. I’m going to date 5 women at once. I’m going to drive a stage coach at 60 mph. I will be a menace to society. And I will be so sexy and cool while doing it.

David Tennant, former Doctor, sauntering demon, protector of trans kids, and all round good guy, attacked proud bigot and "Equalities" minister Kemi Badenoch for being a proud bigot and now Rishi Sunak is going after Tennant saying he is the problem.
The Tories are so fucking toast on election day.

David Tennant saying to transphobes and other bigots: "Fuck off and let people be!" ❤ 😊
David Tennant at the Angels, Demons and Doctors con in Germany, 5.5.2024 (from mandlebougie tiktok <3)
Fan question: I wanted to ask about like, maybe your relationship with like, gender and like, expression like masculinity and femininity. Because I've always noticed, like, even before you and Georgia became more like, vocal about trans rights, that you're always like, not afraid to show like, femininity. And that inspires me to embrace it too, though I'm a bit traumatised by it because I'm trans. I wonder, like, how has that changed over the years, if changed at all? Because I remember also reading something about, like, you in the nineties also being like, not afraid to become gay or something. Yeah. So I wonder, like, in now this environment with like more trans allyship and stuff, like, has that for you personally changed at all?
David: I don't know if it changed that is... I've hopefully learned as that, as that community has found ways of defining itself and has provided a sort of, you know, when I was a kid, the idea of being non binary wasn't something that existed, it wasn't a concept. And I've seen that emerge and people able to express themselves through that and it only ever seems positive as far as I can see. And I think that the kindof the weaponisation of trans rights, gay rights, well, actually, when I was a teenager, I remember gay rights being weaponized politically and that always felt ugly and nasty. And now we look back on that 30 years later and those people are clearly on the wrong side of history. And now there's a sort of similar weaponization of these topics being taken by mostly the right wing or a certain section of society trying to create friction and conflict and division where it needn't be, where it's just about people being themselves and not, you know, you don't need to be bothered about it. Fuck off and let people be! You know, it's just... it's that sense of just wanting people to be allowed to exist. And I think that they're, you know, that there are now ways of expressing gender, identity, sexuality that are more nuanced than they once were. And that only seems to be positive. If that helps people to know who they are and say who theyare and communicate to the world who they are. So why... I mean, my sense of that is that is all just we have to be..., you know, we're.. that's just common sense, really.

Hey, I know everything sucks ABSOLUTE ASS right now, (although, I'd honestly prefer sucking ass to this) but please know that there are still good people in the world. I'm not great with words, and I dont know how good I am at making people feel better, but just know there ARE people out there who love you and support you, even if you dont know them.
Please don’t go away. I know everyone thinks they won, but the only way they could completely win is if you disappear. And you’re still here!! You beautiful, gorgeous human being thing, you!! So please keep going and keep fighting
also, if there are other flags that were not included in this post, please reblog or comment with the flag you'd want and I'll happily make one and tag you in the post! It literally takes 5 seconds, so I'd be more than happy to!
anyways, we will be okay, and just know that I am so proud of you for still being here ❤️
(and so are they ⬆️)
We'll be okay.
