Theory about Nika. So I was confused by what exactly the relation between Joyboy and Nika was, but I think I figured it out! I think Nika is what the prisoners unknowingly called Joyboy! As we know the Human-Hyman Fruit model Nika is a mythical Zoan which means Nika doesn’t exist like a dragon or a phoenix. So basically, the prisoners of Impel Down saw or got some word of Joyboy and naturally assumed he was a god, so they made up stories about Nika causing the fruit to exist.

Dan Heng entered the imperial palace to work as an archivist/Record Keeper

Ren and the rest of the Stellaron Hunters work in the internal affairs department/ spy network but are posing as a minor palace department on the records.

Ren hires DH after witnessing his talents and him preventing a disaster that might shake the imperial palace. Dan Heng hates working for Ren.

He finds him annoying while Ren is amused because most people look at him with fear but Dan Heng reaction is new to him. It's not fear but mere annoyance and disgust he finds cute.

March works inside the inner palace as a court lady to one of high ranking consorts

Stelle works outside the palace and is sorta affiliated with the spy network department but not directly.

Her infos is more on the underbelly side; both of them will be very good in hearing the gossip and various wealth of info in the palace.

One time during one of their investigative missions, they were running away from an assassin with a gun and jumped down a waterfall to escape.

When they are trying to find a way out of the cave behind the waterfall Ren carried Dan Heng on his shoulders to give himi leverage since there was a hole above but then an actual frog jumped on his head startling him which made them lose balance.

So the two fell down into a suggestive position and Dan Heng’s hand was in Ren’s crotch that;s how he found out how BIG his weapon is, but Dan Heng pretended that nothing happened and just said "im sorry i may have crushed a frog"

Yingxing and Dan Feng met in Verdigris when one of his co-workers invited him to get a drink at one of the famous brothel houses in the capital.

Dan Feng is the most sought after cuz let's be serious everyone digs that stare he gives also Yingxing thinks he has beautiful eyes. Dan Feng is untouchable,unlike other courtesans. He is more of an intellectual person and Yingxing fell for that beautiful mind of his.

Yingxing is a low rank government official in the manufacturing/crafts department; at the beginning his salary couldn't afford frequent visits but over time he proves himself capable with his weapon crafts.

Yingxing worked his way up and saved a lot so he could get to spend precious hours with Dan Feng, he isn’t very impressed at first because a lower ranking official that couldn’t ever be a regular to suck money out of, but the passion that Yingxing has for craftsmanship and the desire to use his skills for some greater purpose��far beyond what he sees in most jaded clients—made Dan Feng fall for him.

Sometimes Dan Feng is by the window waiting for when will Yingxing come back but tries not to show how happy he becomes when Yingxing does.

Yingxing may be a formidable opponent in games but he can’t ever really beat Dan Feng in them since Dan Feng wins most of the time he doesn't mind at all! enjoys it even and most of the time he makes it up with his charisma and charm.

As the two grow closer, they will be distraught on how quickly their time together passes by each time. Around the time Dan Feng price went astronomical and rumors were being bought out so they did the baby trapping that horribly backfired.

Yingxing was sent to war and was gone for a long time for a few years. He got what he needed a high enough salary to buy out df but it was too late seeing the state the house is in and how yubie is chasing him away make it seem like Dan Feng died.

Yingxing was in despair and blamed himself for everything he wished he could turn back time. when he found out but got hope when he saw his son Dan Heng with his adoptive mother Baiheng who took care of Dan Heng in the years both parents were not available.

Time skip to present with him redeeming a courtesan cuz he lost a bet with his son. He got a lotus flower as clue from Dan Heng that Dan Feng is still alive but like lost his mind and sick.

When Yingxing found out that Dan Feng was hidden in one of the sick rooms of the brothel, he immediately ran toward it.

He opens the door and sees Dan Feng still as beautiful as the day he met him.

He chooses to redeem Dan Feng no matter the price. They got married but sadly Dan Feng died a few months after.

It's still insane to me that for all anyone knew, including LLH himself, LXY killed DFS. Killed. As in his corpse is floating at sea somewhere.

And yet, LLH took the pieces of the ship that he helped destroy - that same ship he'd speared DFS into and built a house with it. He lived in it, literally surrounded by a physical reminder of that last encounter. And then for the next decade, slowly rebuilt it, transformed it into something that was his.

And the second memento he kept was the Yingzhu armor -- which you could say represented a happier time? Which he also used as a potholder, which meant he was seeing it constantly. He wasn't keeping it stashed in a box or a drawer somewhere. It was something he would have to handle every day.

Just what was LLH holding onto?

One of the things I associate DFS for is his sense of free-spiritedness. Or at least, the desire for that freedom and a constant fight for it. He says what he wants, does what he wants, goes where he wants. The only times he cares about what other people say or expect from him is when he can weaponize it and use it to his advantage. Otherwise he doesn't give a shit.

Everyone wants to chain him down, but he will gnaw his own limbs off to fight his way free. So I find it really interesting that the moving house, made from his ship, becomes LLH's method of freedom where he too can wander wherever he feels like it. And later, it also becomes representative of FDB's freedom as well.

I wonder if DFS ever realized the Lotus house's origins? What would he have thought about his "old friend" building a house out of their shared coffin? What did he think of what it was transformed into?

It's easy to say that DFS had less character influence than the other two, or that his main role was to bring in information about the past or provide plot movement and not so much stuff like character development. Most of his contribution involved reminding LLH of the past or highlighting parts of LLH for the audience - less to do with himself as part of a trio. But like his actions, almost anything he does tends to be under the radar, so isn't it poetic that even without being present, he could be considered representative of the very thing both LLH and FDB seek? To be someone able to live free from others' expectations, to go where you want to go, and do the things you want to do and be able to ignore the world if you feel like it?

And isn't it ironic that DFS can be seen as a symbol of this yet is bound by so many invisible chains? Muted by his own character and traumas and trapped by people who are trickier and far less principled than he is? Yes, I include LLH as part of these people trapping him. But unlike the others, LLH willingly lets him go. It's just this shared connection is the one chain DFS doesn't want to let go of.

I think Katakuri would be the one who wouldn’t mind your situation the most. Mainly because this man is a giant so he already is pretty power with height/weight wise but upon finding out his significant other when touching him makes him feel like he touched sea stone – he is a bit disappointed

However, when he sees that this is making you upset and feeling guilty that he feels weakness when you touch him, he is quick to reassure you that he wants you to touch him and if he didn’t he wouldn’t let you

Only because I imagine he would be really affectionate with his partner, so this definitely cuts into being intimate with them but he will have his moments where he does not mind at all since he can rely on his other family members if things go wrong.

However, when he finds out you were experimented on when you were younger – oh god – all hell breaks loose – he is livid. Who the hell in their right minds would do that? And tbh he really does feel for you since he was bullied for his mouth when he was younger

So if you ever want to talk about it, he is all ears, or if you wish to expose who did the experimenting he could go on a journey for a bit to make sure they are gone forever

Either way, there is no real problem with his significant other having that effect on him. He will find a way to live with it and make sure you are happy

If you so desire it, he will be willing to see if Big Mom will be willing to find a good scientist to see if they can reverse the effects of the experimenting done on you, otherwise if not, he just cares about your well-being.

He may definitely have you go touch one of his siblings when they annoy him though haha

The annoyance disappears immediately when he sees how guilty you feel for having touch him and him getting weak due to the effects of your sea stone “curse”

While he may get irritated and angry at times for having the energy zapped from him whether it was on accident or because he just really wanted to hold you and forgot about it, he does try to control his temper since he understands it isn’t your fault

And with that, he is absolutely livid that you were experimented on as a child to be turned into a weapon against devil fruit users

If he ever finds out who did it… well good luck to them

Depending on how determined he can get with this issue, he may find a doctor for you to see if they can help you or anything

And in worst case scenario if he really gets sick of it, the relationship would end up going goodbye : (

Though I don’t see that happening since he cares about his crew and I imagine he would care about his partner in a way that nobody would think would be possible

So despite the setbacks this would provide he makes sure to know that any irritation he has is definitely not your fault… though he may take his anger out on other people lol

Law is a very… interesting man lol. He would find your situation rather interesting the second he found out about it

However, upon seeing the immediate guilt on your face for making him have a moment of weakness, he knows that this is much worse for you and he wonders who the hell made you feel guilty for something that is not in your control

When you opt to tell him about your past he is horrified that you were experimented on as a child and his inner doctor wants to help

With your permission he would love to see if he can try to reverse it, while his powers are meant for sickness and fatal injuries, he could try and dive into the scientific side for you and he would be very confident in doing so

FDB as a girl is not very much different from FDB as a boy. Same round cheek same big doe eyes, same earnest desire to do good, same tendency to latch onto people way too fast, same way of proclaiming that LLX is their master no matter what.

She’s taller that most girl which considering she spent most of her early life sick and on the verge in dying is pretty extraordinary.

She is also far stronger than any girl LLH has met. In fact, she might be stronger that most men in the martial world.

She doesn’t wear jewelry and dress with men’s robes even if they are a delicate shade of pastel blue, purple or sometimes just simple white and cream. She doesn’t wear make-up -doesn’t see the point-.

DFS and LLH gets used with varying success to the fact that girl! FDB is a pampered rich lady as well as a clever detective as well as a strong and dependent martial art practitioner. They also treat her as an equal and even sometimes forget her gender.

And of course once they get used to her, once they actually managed to save LLH, once they are living the three of them as peacefully as they can they get slapped in the face by the reality of FDB is a woman when they see her dressed as a young lady of her ilk.

It’s also the moment those two men realize that apparently FDB’s parents still want her married to one of the princes and they better do something if they don’t want FDB to get out of their grasp.

Yup.

That second one definitely hits her ESPECIALLY hard because of the first. Shredbloom was Bramblestar-given.

Spiderleg and Mousewhisker, they needed to see some kind of punishment for their crimes. For Mousewhisker, 'Stupidhead' was an ATTEMPT to try and make him think about how he hadn't thought through his actions and ended up supporting the Dark Forest, in spite of having no malice (it was too funny that it backfired ofc). For Spiderleg, 'Spiderbite' did its job at making Spiderleg wear his mistake and pay for his crimes, considering he didn't kill anyone.

But for Blossomfall, her problem was feeling disconnected from the Clan. From her parents, siblings, clanmates. She wasn't a nice person and loneliness has a way of making people act worse. But she couldn't kill anyone, she talked a big game but couldn't bring herself to hurt her sister. She wasn't evil-- she was a delinquent lashing out and the DF took advantage of that.

Squilf realized this (possibly even because Ivypool herself recognized it, she was dating Blossom before they broke up pretty badly in ThunderClan's Tempest) and argued for Bramblestar to give Blossom a different punishment from the other two. Something that would help her get more integrated into the Clan, like... cat community service. Kitchen patrols and such.

But he couldn't be convinced, it was only fair to give all three the same punishment.

But the title 'Shredbloom' did NOT have the desired effect. It just made her worse because it was amplifying the underlying problem.

(Btw I'm still figuring out the way she joins the Kin, and more importantly, how she comes back. I'm thinking a large part of it is Briar and Bumble both declaring they will 'sponsor' her as well as the fact she has three children... and ThunderClan just learned a whole lesson about what separating children from their families does to a person)

"Clearface" was impostor-given. It was shockingly good for what ThunderClan expects from Bramble "bad namer" Star. She mouthed off at him, and without any patience, Bramblefake stormed up to his ledge and announced, "Blossomfall has forgotten her place once again, and believes that her words have value when her whole life is a patched-pelt of her malicious, selfish mistakes. The clan would be better off if she was invisible, out of sight and out of mind, and to prove this, she may live as Clearface for half a moon."

It was seen as BRUTAL... but not completely undeserved. And it did its job perfectly and destroyed her in one hit. She falls in line after that, knowing she's already gone waaay past her last chance here in ThunderClan.

Did you find your missing baby?

Not yet. Kulet is still missing. I admit my schedule has been rough for playing DF as of recent, and my most recent time has been spent on a new fort (The Sea Adventure, a Sinister Ocean/coastal embark). Kulet is from my 4th Fort (Idk the name it was too long). Short summary of my forts though:

1st Fort, Bustmoment: -Tutorial embark. Went fine initially, set up large bedroom complex, good dining hall, and food/alcohol production. Decent traps for surface entrance. Lack of understanding of how Fortifications work lead to bad usage of them, and ultimately made the surface defenses scary to operate. Meanwhile I breached the first cavern layer and only the first, and got involved in a nasty war on Olm people, that kept dragging my dwarves into the lake. Eventually after losing a major military engagement, I dropped the save and made a new world. (I didn't know about Retirement at the time)

2nd Fort, Steelfortress: -The infamous war on birds started here. Embark was a neutral badlands with high savagery & a light aquifer. Aquifer posed no challenge and I was within a year having settled with all three caverns pierced, and a decent magma forge set up. Traps and such were more aggressively deployed, and there were more than a few battles (Internally referred to as the "Great Cavern Wars" against Ant-People) to carve out certain areas underground for farming. Ultimately what drove me to abandon this fort was a 9 month long battle against giant flying agitated wildlife. During that I built up a decently large and armored military, which while incapable of fending off the birds, was apparently itching for World Domination. (More on that later. Though also on another post of mine)

3rd Fort, "Lake of Something" (Name forgotten again): -Having felt a High Savagery was too much & Light aquifers too easy, I searched for a heavy aquifer and got a lake location I liked. After starting the first year, and trying to dig down, I almost immediately hit the heavy aquifer and got stuck for over a year trying to get things stable, and set up a method to pierce the aquifer before beginning to build the fort proper. Unlike the previous forts which had surface trading depots, I decided to move this one underground. Like other forts before and after, I then began to quickly dig towards the bottom, and set up small areas within each cavern to work in, or blocked them off after discovering them. Ultimately nothing particularly notable happened that sticks out in memory, but the fort was ultimately abandoned due to the Cave Adaptation fix update rolling around. Knowing most dwarves had likely developed it in this fort, I decided to take a break from Fortress mode, and play some Adventure mode.

(Which I decided to retire my second fort, as my save of it was in the worst condition of the three, and I originally wanted to retire the fort by "Succumbing to internal invaders" or similar but a standard retirement was an option and I viewed as more desirable)

4th Fort, Gooddesert the Fortress of Mines: -After playing around in Adventure Mode in the 2nd fort's world, I got an itch to start a new fort again, and was talking with my brother. We ultimately came to pick a fort in a Good and Neutral biome cross between "Desert?", badlands and Grasslands. Among world history, as it shares a previous fort, I decided to embark from that Civ again. Just to find out when the Liason came by, that 2 of my 3 dwarven neighbors were at war with me. Going through Legends mode further told me it was my Civ that seemed to have started the war, with all attacks coming from my prior fortress after I retired it. The whole time I was trying to rescue kidnapped children from Goblins in Adventure Mode, it turns out my fort was just attacking EVERYBODY. I played this one until around 1-2 weeks ago, when I began wanting to try messing with some mods for the first time.

4.5th fort, Some volcano Fort I think?: -I had a friend over and I was talking about DF, as you do, and he got curious about the game and wanted to see what it was like. So I booted the game up, showed world gen, we picked an embark, and then retired it to go to it in Adventure Mode. We then made an ideal character for him, and then foolishly rolled up a Worm Man with over 100 pet worms, and crashed the game. I haven't talked with said friend yet, and was gonna play in that world when talking with them.

5th Fort, The Sea Adventure: -That leaves us with our current fort. It's a sinister oceanic embark, and I brought a few adventurers there, including a Dwarf-me, a dwarf-version of my brother, and an anomalocaris (one of the mods) woman of one of my roommates (And their cat as a pet cat, who died to Goblins). Originally the plan was to grow Sliver Barbs & catch Precambrian Arthropods for an aquarium, but I don't know how to do the later half. The Roc attacks have been on this fort.

Chapter 168.1

Now that we know that the people who picked the doll and Kanitarou up are friendly and just happened to see them, that means that the person who was chasing them in the last chapter was someone else. Probably the guy from Chapter 167.1. And probably gonna track the doll to where she's currently hiding out.

Two things. One: we can see a bit of a scar on the mechanic's nose that matches the one on Kai's. The mechanic being amiable with the doll while maintaining a wariness towards her is also a very Kai thing to do. He's very observant. I think at this point he's older than he usually appears once resurrected, and judging from the apparent ages that we saw on their wanted signs, I'm guessing they were freshly resurrected a few years ago.

Second thing: Kai's probably referring to the Beholder/Satoru when he talks about someone who wanted to become human, and not Fushi. Because Fushi's never described themselves as human or discussed their desire to be human after the Takunaha arc. Satoru, on the other hand, was very upfront about wanting to be human, and Kai was there when Messar insinuated that the Beholder wished he was mortal.

I really like that Kai and Eko have both become mechanics. Or Eko has become a mechanic and Kai is her assistant, it's a bit unclear. It's so nice seeing Eko having something that she's passionate about, and that her dream of being able to communicate her thoughts to others has been fulfilled without her having to sacrifice an important part of her identity. And Kai is a blacksmith, so he knows a bit about working with metal and maybe that translates over to engineering somehow? I don't know.

A few notes about this part of the chapter: first, the script that hasn't been translated (because Ooima made it up) says the same thing that appeared in Chapter 166.2 before the doll's flashback.

The only difference is that the percentage that's been restored is marginally higher.

In the original Japanese, the text for the dialogue is in a specific font that's only been used for the person with the blindfold. I've included the raws for comparison.

And finally, the pill is the same one that was around their neck.

Based on the evidence, we can conclude that the doll's "self-identification system" is for her memories, we'll get a flashback every time a bit more of that system is restored, and the pill was an essential part of the process of making her human. We'll probably get the full story when the system reaches one hundred percent, but at the rate we're going it's gonna be a while.

Kai says earlier in the chapter that the mud only responds to human brainwaves specifically and on the final page we see the doll controlling it. df;dfa;dafslkadfs;dasflkj NICE.

How the doll has brain waves and no brain is a bit of a mystery, but the point is that they're implying that it's human already and just stuck in a different form. Which :\ is part of the mystery I guess, clearly the doll has a past involving efforts to become human that it can't remember. I don't love the idea of its backstory being "well, it's not a normal doll, it's a special doll that was secretly human all along." I'm hoping we get something else, because I think the doll being a piece of technology who's human anyways is more in line with what the manga's had to say about humanity so far. Like, maybe experimenting to make it human failed, or the experiment was just to make a program that thinks it's human, because thinking you're human = actually being human. I would imagine that learning that would really fuck the doll up, because in that case everything it's been trying to do in the name of proving that it's human was just more proof that it's not. And that's what I would do if I were Ooima because she loves to think of the worst possible thing that would happen to a character and then do that (compliment).

Still, no matter what the doll's backstory turns out to be, I'll be into it as long as it adds more layers to her character and to the story. Which it will because this is Ooima we're talking about :)

Asmo Appreciation Week, Day 3: Best Cards, Part 2!

Welcome again, everyone!

I'll cut a bit more to the chase today, since we're in a continuation from yesterday's post. Yesterday I covered #20-11 of the Asmodeus cards that make my heart beat faster, and today I'll show #10-1! These are a lot more potent and have a lot higher potential to melt my soul.

Let us begin~

#10: Guided By Desire

Starting off the top 10 with more nostalgia! While one of two SSR cards people were VERY likely to get in the beginning, it doesn't annoy me seeing him show up...much (I get sooo many ravens now, UGH). BUT, repetitiveness aside, circumstances REALLY put this card high on the list. Even to this DAY it is one of my most powerful cards, even topping a lot of the URs I have on the OG app, so I HAVE to give credit. And even without it...just look at that face, you can't deny its adorableness! (Plus a rare shot where Asmo has pink and neon green nails before they decided on pink and teal!)

#9: Purgatory Hall Sleepover!

Hey look, it's the card that most likely inspired the 2022-23 pajama set! Being the first birthday UR this boy had (and having to wait a full year from its implementation date), I was was EXCITED to see this card art alone. The theming made it even better; sleepovers are another topic that just send me over the moon, and that LITERALLY being the title of the card set in stone that I needed it like water. Thankfully, no money had to be spent, hooray!

#8: Photogenic Asmo

If you thought #16 was colorful, #8 said hold my demonus. This is CUTE in every sense of the word. An overall cafe theme (mixing retro diners and maid cafes without the maids), Asmo in that uniform, and that look on his face getting pics of the sweets?! This was the card that started my completionist journey of getting every card of his, and thankfully, the catalyst was received in a recent revival Nightmare!

#7: Your Personal Venus

This card, this card... The end of February was a wild time for my OM! account. This event plus the Nightmare that was attached were attacking me from both sides in terms of cards I want, and could NOT catch a break (you might be able to guess a card down lower if you think about it ^^). But thankfully, it meant this card was mine within three days of the event start! The initial image is precious (just look at those eyes!), and this one? This was an attack on my soul, how is he able to rock anything and make me love him even more?!

#6: Time for the Main Event!

I grinded in this event when it came out in 2020. Nearly 4 years later, I'm still trying to get him. There's definitely reasons why, considering it's only barely out of the top 5. The Cinderella/fairytale aesthetic is a major reason, bringing to question what Asmo would be like if HE was the titular heroine instead of the fairy godmother in the actual event. In addition, this was the first event where I truly saw him as a gnc icon and ROCKING this dress (I can't unsee the garter belt either, so neither will you now, hehe), and further made me scream whenever future cards indulged this. Now, please hurry up and come home...

#5: Return My Glow

We all know from both the OG and NB that Asmo valued his time as the angel dubbed the "jewel of the heavens", despite slowly forgetting that image of himself. While the event the card was attached to is DEFINITELY controversial amongst the fandom, it still means a lot to me. I grinded my booty off to get it on the last day, and the image (specifically this DF unlock) has the power to make me feel better even on some of my darkest days. It even doubles so when you look at the similar image found in his initial UR in NB (more on that soon!).

#4: The Devildom's Mermaid

Outside of the missed potential to make him an ACTUAL mermaid in one of the arts, this was the first UR+ Asmo ever received, so its iconic status already lends itself to a high placement. Theming is also high here, as WHO can resist the beach episode, tell me, who?! There's also a bit of retroactive mirroring with the anime that happens in my head. I can totally see at one point on that private beach he set up a picture just like this to send to his followers, and that expression sent many (including myself) into an iconic squealing mess.

#3: Demons Catch Colds?!

If you guessed this card at #7, you win a virtual cookie! It is no secret to anyone who knows me well that one of my favorite tropes in fiction is the sick day, one person laying in perceived misery while another tends to their needs. In addition, if you include anything in your work with a medical/dental theme, you will have me eating out of the palm of your hand. This card has both. I was a mess back in April of '21 thanks to this blasted card. Fun fact, this was the first Nightmare card I spent money to get (Solomon decided to block my advances one too many times using the same attribute and I was at my limit 😡)! I only pull out the actual cash when I'm hooked, so you KNOW it was serious. XD Lastly, I said I wasn't taking Devilgrams into account, but I wanted to mention how the one attached to this card is so sweet. If you ever have the chance to read it, DO IT!

#2: Princess Asmo's Escape

They ACTUALLY referenced it!! If you've seen the anime, you know about Episode 5 and the insanity that occurred when Asmo was literally wearing the crown. And the fact that the devs saw it was iconic enough to make a UR+ out of?! I have a lot of gripes with Solmare, but this one of the times they got it RIGHT. He is a Disney princess, you can NOT change my mind, and the composition of this initial image is so pretty I want to make a print of it to hang in my room. It's almost the perfect card! Almost...

Because the top card of all to me is...

#1: A Song From the Heart

This is my absolute dream card, and the closest to the definition of a perfect one you will ever get. So many elements combine to make this both fitting in terms of character and concept. In the initial image we get the cute, goofy side of him (and a shot of him in glasses?!), calmly playing an acoustic. In the DF unlock, that side turns passionate and bombastic, switching to an electric and belting into the mic under the stage lights. It references both the obvious and not-so-obvious of parts of his character. We know that he loves being under the spotlight, but we don't get much in terms of his love for music, specifically rock music as the designs imply. The outfit is also one of my personal favorites, as is many that don't go on the Majolish racks (pleeeeeease let this one be wearable one day!). It even has a bit of a meta connection as well. His VA, Miura Ayme, has PLENTY of musical connections, not just recording OPs for the game but being an active visual kei artist with a HEAVY leaning on rock as a style. So to see a card not only tie back to a character but to the voice actor at the same time? There's nothing I see that's better than that.

gonna be hater so here are my half-inebriated thoughts about what i didn't like about the final stroke part dos

• boring. you can even stop reading right here because that's my overarching opinion

• i still don't fully understand or like the conflict between rin and haru and resolution was... confusing? and frustrating! the race and following conversation don't actually address the issue of haru feeling abandoned. he apologizes for saying hurtful things he didn't actually mean and rin apologizes for... not thinking of haru's feelings when making decisions about his own swimming career? (i don't want to turn this into what is basically an r/AmITheAsshole thread, because i hate how contemporary fandom discourse treats every fictional conflict like one, but like. haru's TA. rin did nothing wrong. they kind of acknowledge it but they don't follow through). i don't really know what i was supposed to take away from this ordeal

• if not outright retconning stuff, attempting to write around or re-contextualize stuff in a way that i find dishonest or disrespectful to viewers' intelligence. the big example being haru confronting his younger inner self, where it actually turns out he was actively repressing his desire to swim in a relay as an affect of his loneliness (?), instead of simply being apathetic as he was previously written. why rewrite the main character's backstory and motivations at the very last minute? we've been along for this ride for the past nine years, come on

• rin continuing with his "my relation to haru isn't that simple" explanation to ikuya, who as far as i remember simply described them as friends. or suggested that rin see haru in the infirmary because that's an inconsequential but kind thing to do? i do not fucking understand. i hated this stance in fs1 and i hate it now. they have a unique bond for sure but they're not not friends

• speaking of rin and haru's friendship, i was put off by the "red-blue super sentai destined partners" imagery, and then the shot of them holding hands as kids. i've always viewed rin and haru as two people who were undoubtedly important to each other but, in regards to certain parts of their individual lives, not particularly close. those shots felt like they mischaracterized their relationship to be a lot closer retroactively (but because of the nature of interpretation i am more willing to let this one go. also nobody can accuse me of having a bias against rinharu, by the way, i used to be huge on rinharu. but i have thoughts about what it looks like and it wasn't this)

• i got a little irritated with how many times a character would start talking about haru and how much they need to support haru, oh we haven't seen him in a while is he doing okay? my times are getting better don't you think BUT HARU- i don't think this is an inherently bad way to convey information to an audience but it happens too frequently in scenes that are already too short. so i never felt like i got to see the characters fully as i know and love them because they were too busy providing commentary

• kinjou barely had any impact as a character, as a villain, as an ally, etc. his big climactic heel-turn moment is him finally giving teamwork a try (at the expense of asahi's participation, press f to pay respects lmao), i guess. when he was introduced in df i was excited for him to be an honest to goodness asshole for once in free!'s history but his presence quickly fizzled out. he stopped being threatening right away and there wasn't nearly enough there to make me care about him

• what were these two movies about, anyway? what was the arc and what was the resolution? early promotional material, as well as a significant portion of part 1, made me believe it was about haru reexamining his relationship to competitive swimming and the possibility of going pro, but it just concludes with "haru continues to do the thing he set out to do a season ago." i admit i am one of those people who wasn't completely satisfied with the ending of eternal summer, where haru decides to start competing seriously after a season of fighting exactly that. it didn't feel like a solid resolution. so i was intrigued with the idea that haru could outright quit, or reorient his goals, something. but that didn't happen. and it didn't have to, really, but anything other than "and the story continues!!!" would have been better. nothing changed in the end. what was the point

Diary is important for some people like me. I was trained to have a diary since I was 13 here but I wasn't yet aware and I wasn't able to maintain putting entries on my diary...My mental awareness was not consistent coz I was a virgin and I was got by my Aunt here who is married to a japanese when I was 13. I never hide some gloomy facts to people whom I can feel that is mature and I can trust.

Some couple used "a couple's Diary or his and her Diary". Hmm... For example me and Borgy will be a confirmed bf and gf or let's say husband and wife. For example we are that couple who keep a diary with us. It is either I have my own Diary or he has his own Diary,it is either we have a place where we can read our own diary or let's say we can swap Diary. It depends coz sometimes there are emotions that we can't verbalize.

Diary means you put your heart's content. You put everything and it can be like this that some angels can read or some good friends. Or you have a private Diary for some important thing like the "Couple's Diary or His & Her Diary" that only 2 of us can read. But we can also create a "Friendship Diary" but I lost them, Iost my fucking friends...

If it is a "Friendship Diary" it should be like this here in Tumbler where all of our friends can access...

I would never ever ever partner nor do anything with anyone of the past - so much damage and so unnecessary - It doesn't matter who was involved - they are all weak and dark, and nasty and only gave unconditionally - -

I will never allow them to return - shady, deceitful, lustful and what all forget, DF will always have her will - I was never attracted, not ever wanted to continue anything with them - I was with them for over 25 years and it was not what I wanted - it matters not who and what was there - it matters not - the disgrace, harm, damage was done - destruction was done - damage done - nothing will make anything right what happened to me;

All deserve to be in jail for what occurred - period.

I get a say I get a choice - it makes me sick - literally sick - they will not return - i still suffer PTSD for years the sick and ruthless, relentless voodoo, black magic, and such trickery -

I would never choose him regardless s- I asked for a divorce for the very reason - we are not a pair, nor even close to align with, they are not my person - the wisdoms, energies, goals, nothing aligns - I do not like them on any level - there are nefarious and damaging games - they will never return =-

there are deep selfish plans of those that think they play God and trickery, spells, and BS that harm the whole community and world at large; narcism, cult-like activity is all done to claim insurance and inheritance and anything related to taking of what is not theirs;

I want nothing more than to never see any of them again - - I will always say NO - DF has a choice - NO they will never be offered in my space - they all know to see my lawyer - period - those are the new rules of engagement

These people have done much in groups, cult like activities conjuring the dark - do what you do but when you purposefully screw the anointed and chosen ones - purposefully coming into others lanes to steal and rape everything from them and then claim they are the crazy ones as you put spells and confusions over everyone to continue your sick narrative - those behind the doors not seen, those placing the complaints and false stories - the ones living lavishly off others money - while keeping them sick, enslaved, and bound to the devil for your gain - it is grander than you know - threaded and even pay to silence the group - all will implode - that is what occurs -

Selfish plans will fall and the ones behind - when all is so unnecessary = awakening could be a choice that is loving, peaceful and God is the only one that my path with me; I AM.
