Matsuda's an interesting case for me, as he was the first death note boy I had a crush on, but my feelings about him had changed a lot over the years.

he had his first case at the age of 28, where an agent died because he wouldn't take a risky shot

(and he remembers everything about the man who died- his kids, their ages, what they do for fun- all of it haunts him)

he always falls asleep on his couch to the point where i don't even know if this man has a bed

You know it's the way the "Shinigami are Unfuckable" rule is phrased that gets me more than the concept of Shinigami being Unfuckable. If it had said something like "Shinigami are entirely asexual beings with no desire of that nature or ability to reproduce" I would have just accepted it outright as a normal worldbuilding thing.
