The KMT is a political party. It is not even in charge of Taiwan right now; the current party in power is the centre-left Democratic Progressive Party, and as of 2023 is part of a coalition government. The KMT did run a dictatorship in Taiwan for a while but Taiwan has been a much more normally functioning democracy for decades.

For these reasons the KMT isn’t receiving weapons from the US. Taiwan receives weapons from the US, because China wants to take Taiwan back by force if necessary and Taiwan doesn’t want that. That’s not just the ruling coalition’s position, either, by the way - public polls increasingly show Taiwanese identifying more as Taiwanese than as Chinese (read: as being one people with the Chinese in mainland China).

The only beneficiary of appeals to cut off arms sales to Taiwan is China, since China continues to state its position that Taiwan is a rogue province and it will reunify Taiwan with China by force if necessary.

This post, with how misleading it is, reads like China propaganda.

The barbarity of the KMT nationalists knew no boundaries. Today, the KMT is located in Taiwan and recieves weaponry mainly from the United States.

I spent a while fruitlessly trying to find a post I encountered on this site a while ago that talks about how the "humanity" essence in Dark Souls works in-universe; I vaguely remember it being along the same lines as this, but it included an observation that in the Dark Souls setting the most human thing in the world is a big scary-looking creature that I'm guessing is one of the boss monsters you fight in one of the games (I dunno, I'm not a gamer). I think I might have seen it on @feotakahari's blog and it sounded like the sort of thing @onion-souls might have written but I couldn't find it. I was strongly reminded of it when I read Sam Kriss's essay on Santa Claus, specifically this part:

There are two named individuals known to live at the North Pole. The first is Baxbakwalanuxsiwae, He-Who-First-Ate-Man-At-The-North-End-Of-The-World. In the mythology of the Kwakiutl people of what’s now British Colombia, Baxbakwalanuxsiwae is a primordial cannibal. His skin is grey, and every inch of it is covered in ravenous, gnashing, blood-stained mouths with razor-sharp yellow teeth. When those mouths aren’t crushing human bones or tearing human flesh, they cry hāp! hāp! hāp! which means eat! eat! eat! He goes naked in the snow. You are not different from the man-eater who lives at the North Pole and whose body is covered in wailing mouths. He was there long before you. He is your ancestor, and you are just a lesser, weaker, corrupted version of him.

First of all, the doves were merely using our President as a vessel. He did not guide their terrible flight. The President was powerless to stop anything from happening. But all present acknowledged a sense of peace at the child's passing. It is possible, even likely, that child would have grown into a monster, in a metaphorical or perhaps literal sense, like Donald Trump, or children in regions where the US is leading or assisting special coordinated international peacekeeping operations.

The right-wing misinformation mill is more active than ever. Know the facts: the child did not have strange symbols on his skin, and if he did, the birds ate them. Mr. Biden was not chanting in Latin while it occurred, because his jaw was still resetting. The doves are not Chinese robots; the feathers that fell on the Corn Palace after their sudden disappearance are genetically identical to the common Dove. I'm begging you: will you help us fight the tide of misinformation and re-elect the potentially doveless Joe Biden? Or do you want to let Donald Trump be the one full of murderous doves?
