finally! my contribution to #fixtf2 is done! it took about 8-9 in total, excluding creating refs in sfm(i don't remember how long it took).

i might have joined only about 2 months ago, but this game and community already became very dear to my heart. there are so many cool and creative people, and thanks to tf2 i've made new friends as well! i love it so much and i want for the game to be in a playable state again. so that everyone could enjoy a game of casual without spending hours trying to get into a lobby without bots and cheaters.

my love isn't blinded though and i've seen some issues with the movement both in-game and outside of the game. so here are some quick reminders for those who need it:

#fixtf2 is an ongoing peaceful protest. drawing sniper robots getting destroyed or killing bots in game with army of pocket medics by your side is fine. going out of your way to harass(or worse) anyone is not.

not everyone knows what's going on with tf2! if you see anyone questioning the movement - even if you think they might be a troll - cool down your head and tell what is going on and why. there are many videos explaining the situation, share them!

don't drop to your enemy's level. whether or not you believe #fixtf2 would end well, stay civil. if discussion starts going in the wrong direction, leave before it goes completely sour.

i really hope it goes well, but for it to happen we must work together in unity. think twice before you act, sign the petition if you didn't already and keep protesting!

Ok this was in my head for WAY too long. It's kind of a continuation of that one blurb I posted abt Alethia having visions from Mara. She gets a little stubborn. Hehe new side of Alethia unlocked >:)

The Gods didn't give Alethia many prophetic visions. The Aedra certainly hadn't, regardless if her life revolved around them or not. She'd been a priestess the moment her mother birthed her. Even as a mere babe, she would crawl into her Mother's lap and promptly fall asleep listening to her soothing words of prayer. The scriptures and her duties had come easily, too. Not once in her earlier years had she found the words of her Goddess to be superficial. For her eyes and ears were always open as she promised Mara's thoughts and wishes would never fall upon deaf ears. That is something she remains resolute in, still to this day, and perhaps even more zealously after the first dozen visions were thrusted into her skull. Gods, any more salacious visions and she would be pining at the vampire's feet—begging to be taken like a she-wolf in heat. She pauses when the idea doesn't sound terribly offensive, before allowing her head to fall against the tavern's hardwood surface with a clunk. 

Lyris snorts, sending the shorter woman a bemused look. "Look, I know I told you to get some rest, but this is a lot, even for you, partner." 

Alethia groans, sensing more to Lyris' questioning gaze. The taller woman eyes her from over her tankard, watching Alethia's downtrodden form sink deeper. 

"I'm not particularly fond of vampires myself, but you've been acting especially strange since meeting that one earlier." The half-giant scrunches her nose, eyeing Alethia's mussed red hair spilling onto the sticky bar counter. 

Alethia hesitantly picks her head up enough to send her friend an abashed smile. Her tongue swipes across her bottom lip in an attempt to soothe her nerves. A flutter passes through her stomach and she suddenly wonders if the planemeld had truly scrambled her brains. Pale fingers fiddle with the tankard in hand as she struggles to find the right words. 

"Do you...believe in love at first sight?"

She's not sure what response she was expecting from Lyris, but the woman's expression is not one that inspires confidence in Alethia. The awkward silcence sends her mind reeling. Lyris would no doubt piece her strange reaction to the Altmer Vampire and the nervous question which tumbled so carelessly past her lips just now together. By the Divines, her face had never felt quite this flushed before.  

"What brought this up? Don't tell me it's about that vampire." Titanborn gives her an almost concerned look. 

"Ah..." Alethia coughs weakly—a frail smile on her lips. "Hypothetically, if it were?"

"Hypothetically, I'd tell you to lay off the mead." Lyris continues, huffing a sigh. "But, I know you well enough than that. You don't drink, and you certainly don't joke at times like these. Tell me where this came from, partner. There's more to it than what you're giving."

Alethia smiles softly at the half-giant's reply. It quelled a bit of her nervousness in that she could trust in a friend's judgement. 

"Thank you, Lyris." Alethia smiles warmly and continues on to explain her predicament. Twirling a strand of red hair, she glances away, her eyes briefly wandering over the tankard's contents. The water rippled gently against each vibration given by a fellow patron's heavy steps. It hypnotized her nerves—lulling them to sleep for just a moment. 

She takes a shaky breath, "I had visions. When I met him...his eyes met mine, and..." She trails off, blue eyes frantically searching her reflection within the tankard for an explanation. "I just don't understand this feeling, Lyris." Her cheeks warm for the second time tonight as she squeezes her eyes tight before nonsense spews past her lips. "I'm in love." 

"With a vampire." It's not a question, Lyris states it far too flatly. 

"Yes." Alethia glances at Lyris. "With a vampire."

"Back up, partner. You said you had visions. Visions of what?" Divines! That was the question she was trying to avoid answering. It's necessary for Lyris to understand, and yet Alethia really, really doesn't want to tell her the brief flashes of intimacy she'd witnessed in her head. 

"Ah." Is all she can manage. It's such a pitiful display, but Lyris deems her short response concerning as she pays their tab. 

"Up, we're heading to your home. Proudspire, right? I want to hear what's really going on and you clearly don't want to say it out in the open."

Alethia gulps. It is a small comfort that the drunken patrons of the Lonely troll won't know her lustfully deranged thoughts of a man she had only recently met. Sure, he was quite the handsome Altmer, but for Mara's sake, all they knew of each other were their names. What Mara was trying to tell her, she couldn't quite figure it out. Even if the answer was hitting her in the head. Repeatedly. Alethia smiles in thanks for Lyris' gesture before leading the way to Proudspire manor.

The manor had belonged to her second eldest sister, Asta, before travelling back to Summerset with their father. Asta hadn't trusted the isles after what occurred with the yaghra and Nocturnal.

You're marked, Alethia. The Daedra are meddlers to our precious Nirn. They think us weak, little playthings. You are proof of the opposite. She will want revenge, so watch your back. Alethia squints up through the midday sun at the decadent roof of the manor as she mulls over her sister's words. Asta's right, of course, but that wasn't what cast the heaviest of flutters in her stomach. So heavy, that tears pricked her eyes and halted her steps.

"Partner." Lyris calls uneasily as she tries to shake away Alethia's near catatonic state. There's no movement from her as she stares blankly ahead. The hand that rested on the doorknob falls weakly to her side, almost as if she had no control over her body. 

Tears of an unnatural color flow down her cheeks, and Lyris watches in confusion. How could her tears be golden? They're stunning if not unsettling—glittering beautifully like precious stones in the sunlight. It's an odd thought, but it passes Lyris' mind as something substantial; that golden color reminded her of the statue of Mara with it's outstretched hands and golden tears. 

Alethia gasps back to life, her hands squeezing the woman's before her as if she's questioning her very existence. Short, pained breaths leave her lips as her chest heaves frantically. 

"Again?" Lyris helps her up, gathering the crumpled form of her friend into her chest. 

Alethia nods, but regrets it as her head spins with the slightest of movements. 

"Easy, let's get you inside. You look sick." She can only groan in response as Lyris so graciously drags her exhausted body into the warm confines of the manor, setting her down gently in a cowhide chair. The smell of firewood is comforting as her brain and body finally begin to calm. 

"Yes, another vision. I'm not sure what she's trying to tell me. Is it love? Am I supposed to just accept that?" The words leave her mouth in a huffy tone—a petulant tone she hadn't meant to speak in. 

Lyris immediately recognizes Alethia's tight expression as shame, and she sends a light smile her way. "Why don't we figure this out first. You're no use in a fight or investigation like this. Perhaps you're meant to accept it." Titanborn shrugs with a grin, "Wouldn't be the strangest thing you've done,  partner." 

She hides her flushed cheeks in her hands, murmuring out a response as her eyes stubbornly fix to the dancing fire before her. It reminds her of his searing kiss—how his lips smashed against hers as thick, lukewarm fingers stretched and prodded against the spongy flesh of her core in such a way it left her breathless.

"How is that fair? He's...I don't know him, I've only seen what our life...could be?" A sharp pain in her head causes her to yelp. "Okay! Wrong answer, it's what our life will be." The pain subsides, leaving Alethia to stand and frown at Mara's bust upon her hearth. Lyris watches in amusement as Alethia begins to rant at the unmoving statue. 

"You! I don't know what you want from me! I don't even know him! Sending me dreams and visions of us fucking won't help me!" She breathes deeply, her chest left heaving and flushed in the face of her annoyance. 

"Mara, please. Am I meant to love him? Is this my future?" Her stance crumbles the instant she hears an otherworldly voice in the space of her mind. 

My child. The voice whispers with the utmost warmth, shielding her mind from the world with a quiet buzz.  Accept my guidance, and you shall be free of your burdens. Allow me in, my child. For I cannot aid you if your heart remains filled with terror.

Tears prick her eyes again, but they're no longer golden as they trickle past full cheeks. 

Remove the thorns you've cast upon your heart, and allow yourself to love and be loved. My hand will guide you. Always.

Again, Alethia crumples to the floor. This time, it isn't in agony, but relief. Open her heart, that's it? 

"I-I will try, my lady." 

The bust exudes warmth like a proud mother praising her child. In her mind's eye, she can practically see Mara's smile.

That is all I ask, my child.

"So...?" 

Alethia smiles sheepishly at Lyris, finally pulled from her daze. "I'm very dense, aren't I?"

Lyris chuckles, "Sometimes, but aren't we all? To think, the Vestige is blinded by love." The teasing remark leaves Alethia's cheeks rosy. 

"We'll probably bump into him sooner or later, right?"

Surprise arches the taller woman's brows. "You're going to confess?"

She gasps, "Mara's sacred tears, no! Not now! I just...I'll have to get a little closer, right?"

A sauve smile makes it's way to Lyris' lips, "I know just the thing, partner." 

She would have to take this one step at a time, and everything would fall into place, she hoped.

i think its weird that i have to make this disclaimer but the internet is crazy so wtvr,, anyway,,

if i say i dont like something, that doesnt mean "that thing is bad and nobody should post it.."

i swear literally every time i even mention that i dislike something, people will go "wow does that mean u fucking hate me cuz i post that thing? ur a fucking stupid bitch and all ur opinions r wrong" LIKE ?? er.. no. just because i say i dont like certain characterizations of certain characters (the saiki k fandom is CRAZY about this cuz i can state an opinion on literally any character and a group of people will still go 'well only we're allowed to post our opinions about them because we're always right!1!1!'), or certain ship tropes (mentioned my hatred of toxic yaoi maybe once or twice on here months ago and people STILL get mad at me as if i said toxic yaoi lovers r evil or something), or certain ships, or WHATEVER, does not mean that i HATE the people who are posting them or that i think they shouldnt post them at all, NO, im just posting about my personal tastes on my personal blog and it would be extremely weird and hypocritical if i decided that i was the ONLY person that was allowed to do that,,

You tell her how grateful you are to have her in your life, you flatter her, you tell her you need her, that you have to do this together. You have her make a promise that has this woman, born of chaos and fey, agreeing through shaking hands and a trembling voice.

You make her deceive your friends; you make her follow where they cannot know; you make her help you into this contraption; you make her feed this thing into you despite the fact that you both have been warned extensively of the risks. You make her watch you crumble and splinter and shatter and fracture and burst and implode. You make her watch you die, over and over and over and over, for a minute in agonizing bullet time.

You make her do all these things, because when she tries to back out, when she tries to not be the one who let you do this—how could you do this—

you tell her, "YOU PROMISED."

Because if there's one thing you know, it's that the fey do not break a promise.
