Took the bus to Sembawang MRT Station for an early dinner at Kopitiam food court. I went for the Indonesia style Grilled Chicken Set with a grilled whole chicken leg in kecap manis or Indonesian sweet soy sauce and soup. The sides are curry vegetables and a fried egg with white rice. The chicken had a nice, charred flavour, smothered with savoury sweet black sauce.
Mum went off to queue for the Economy Rice (菜饭). She picked the following dishes for her cai png - Har Cheong Gai (虾酱鸡) marinated in fermented shrimp paste and deep-fried, sweet & sour pork and Chinese cabbage stir-fry with white rice.

as a neurodivergent disabled person who struggles to feed myself i recently got back into casseroles and they are great who decided they weren't. come out. I just wanna talk.
#listennnn i LOVE to cook#i love to bake my own bread and try out new recipes#but some days it's just Hard#and casseroles have been a literal life saver i can make them out of ingredients in my pantry that won't go bad#(adhd proof)#and they're literally foolproof and great for low spoon days you just follow the starch - sauce - protein - vegetable formula and dump it i#that's a nutritionally complete meal baby#they're just like soup and curry i don't get why people hate them???#and you can make them with whatever#absolutely low spoons neurodivergent foolproof and i can hide SO many veggies in them

We have some beautiful cauliflowers in the Polycrub … so along with our potatoes, I decided to make some Aloo Gobi (cauliflower and potato curry). It so simple to prepare, full of flavour and healthy too. Served with some brown rice and garlic / coriander naan breads, it really was a tasty meal … 😋
