Oh fuck. I am about to cease to exist. Civ 7 comes out February 11th. I got paid today do I pre order...do I get the collectors edition that clock is so pretty I want it on my desk...the scout figurine...ohhhhhhh.

#i will stop sleeping. it is going to be bad lmao.#i have avoided a civ binge (last one was 5 because I never pulled the trigger on 6 for various reasons and changes they made not that 5 #is the best)#for a few years now. yall dont even know.#it is dangerous for me. and i am not going to avoid it. there is no good time. it isnt like i have much time off.#granted this is my first time without coffee. how will i fare i wonder.#i literally have civ 5 uninstalled rn because if it is on my desktop i will click it and time travel. my life will fall apart over the #course of 2 weeks.#the hundreds upon hundreds upon hundreds of hours i have in that version alone was all over multi day snd multi week binges #i dont even want to know what my total play time would be if you add the other versions from when i was younger.#it is bad. i am so excited. i cant wait. im getting this for myself for my birthday. usually i order some fyodor merch.#i justify this by the fact i only get one gift that is combined xmas and bday from my partner.#but this year sorry my lovely husband your new merch will have to wait. i have things to attend to...

maybe maybe a mistake taking astronomy; idk why I thought I'd suddenly be a physics mastermind just bc I have more motivation for it now. It's the first week and I have no actual clue what I'm doing (or more accurately: should be doing. Mostly so far it's been lots of staring and muttering of "what the fuck" in regular intervals)

911 really is such a good reminder of the particularly kind of joy that is weekly, seasons-long shows with many episodes per season. every character gets a moment to shine even in a truncated season. the satisfaction of seeing characters grapple with stuff that happened YEARS ago. having multi-episode arcs and one-off arcs that are equally enjoyable. beach episodes (metaphorical). I know we're all saying this all the time but why can't more tv be like this
