Guy: "Hey man, can I borrow your charger?"
Knight: "I'm afraid that may be unwise. He's a bit fractious with strangers... He can be ornery, that gelding. But he's loyal and strong."
Guy: "What? No, for my battery..."
Knight: "What does my steed have to do with artillery??"

So I’m Oberon in a production of Midsummer Night’S Dream and we decided to do a queer bar theme. Titania’s actor has quite a regal presence, so we decided Titania will be fancy and well put together and Oberon dresses like Adam Sandler with a Burger King crown. My friend pointed out to me that I’m basically a Rick Riordan version of Oberon and now I can’t unsee it

The Fairly Lovers
Artist: Theodor von Holst (British, 1810–1844)
Date: c. 1840
Medium: Oil paint on canvas
Collection: Tate Britain, London, United Kingdom
Description
Here Oberon and Titania, fairy lovers from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, are shown dancing under the light of the moon. The fairies’ tip-toe steps, flower and insect wing headdresses, dancing drapery and an eerie light create a magical effect.

Tbh the world needs more whittlers, more weavers, more seamsters, stitchers, metalworkers, beaders, potters, shipbuilders, and wainwrights. I cannot tell you what I would give to find a good cobbler, or corset maker. Hand spinners are the most beloved folks in human history, if we are putting our love correctly. Where are my tanners? Where are my people who do the common work? The work that builds and sustains life? I know thousands of people pretty well, why can none of them carve an antler?
The real work of living is denied to us. We must learn it daily.
