I think one underrated tragedy of Ice King's scars is that he probably took away Simon's sense of levity.

Like in his very limited appearances before Simon is consumed by the crown we see he's kind of a silly dude. In his introduction video, he only put on the crown in order to playfully tease his fiancee. Plus watching him make light of the loneliness and general misery for a young girl in a broken world. He was a dedicated man, who was generous and loved with his whole heart and threw himself one hundred percent into everything he did. He was also a fun lil guy.

But after almost a millennia of being a mad man, the brunt of every joke, someone who only existed as a broken caricature of himself and couldn't be counted on to take anything seriously, I imagine he was done with it. Now he wants to focus back on his academic endeavors, on his role as a father figure in Marcy's life, on being a proper adult. Any attempts to be silly could easily remind everyone - including himself- of Ice King, something he's eager to avoid.

So his jokes and jibes and general lightheartedness turned to sarcasm and self deprecating comments.

Ok, Red Hood as a Crime Boss in the Meat Marionette AU.

He wields two enormous custom handguns (I'm talking like Alucard-from-Helsing sized guns) that can combine into a sniper rifle al-la Arkham Knight.

Harley Quinn is his right hand woman (when she saw what Mr. J did to that little Robin, she finally realized just how much of a monster he was, and she ended up protecting Red Hoods 'cocoon', and now sorta considers Hood her 'son')

So there's that scene in Under the Red Hood where all the drug lords are sitting around a table like 'Who called this meeting?' 'I thought you did?' 'Wasn't me.'

Suddenly the table is riddled with bullets.

'My baby boy called y'all!' It's Harley Quinn with an AK-47 on the catwalk above.

'Yer all workin' fer him now! Kick up 40% to him, no sellin' ta kids, and you'll have protection from the cops AND the Bat! Sound good?'

'OK crazy bitch, why the fuck should we kick it with your-'

Huge ass bat monster in a blood red cloak (that may or may not be made of human skin) and a fucked up face drops from the ceiling with a duffle bag full of severed heads.

Oh man, I've never genuinely coded something in my life-

While I'd love to, I feel like it wouldn't be right to make an entirely playable Isa Looping game? It is inherently similar and derivative of the main game, the assets would mostly be the same- It would be 20% stuff made by me, and the rest is from the OG game. So it would feel kind of wrong to try to present that as a "fan game".

At most I'd like to see if I can code in my fun little events. I wanted to code the Favor Tree event, but I couldn't get my hands on RPG maker, so I just made it using 20 different tactics, and it shows in certain spots.

I do thank you for the offer tho!!! I'm so flattered!!! It sounds so cool in concept, but I don't think I'd go through with it.

dude i just watched a mouthwashing playthrough and dude. like that was a horror game, but it wasnt a normal horror game. a normal horror game makes me jump and scream. This one? i was frozen. my eyes were wide with terror. i was cold, even though i was wearing a blanket. I was holding onto my blanket and i didnt even realize until it literally started hurting because i was holding on so hard. I cried at least twice. i was frozen in terror afterwards. I wasn't even playing the game yet i still felt everything. What the hell did I just see.

SO good and it was SO terrifying. the breathing sounds and the sounds of curly taking the pills were so gross omg i am not the same person after hearing all that it was heart wrenching and soul crushing and dream shattering im going to rot away and turn into mold holy shit

Also normally i dont like nonlinear storytelling because its normally confusing to me but this one???? So good, it woudnt have worked linearly. the graphics also are good, its gory and gross and it couldn't be better. There’s a quiet murmur of sound in the room, movement and conversation. Gu Yiran waits, lets it wash over him until he can make sense of it. Two people speaking in low voices, the occasional lilt into a question before the sound dips back down into [murmuring]. Ding Guozhu, and Zhang Xiaoguang. The quiet metal sound of a thermos opening, and Ding Guozhu’s voice cuts out for a moment.  Zheng Bei’s voice isn’t there.  Neither is Yaoyao’s, Gu Yiran reminds himself. �� It’s only that — The last thing Gu Yiran remembers, concretely, with any certainty, is Zheng Bei. The look on Zheng Bei’s face, bursting in through the door, the way his expression changed when he saw Gu Yiran, something almost frantic in his eyes. The very last thing Gu Yiran remembers is the shape of Gu Yiran’s name in Zheng Bei’s mouth — not Gu-laoshi, for once, but Gu Yiran. To Gu Yiran’s right, the door to the hospital room unlatches.  Ding Guozhu and Zhang Xiaoguang’s conversation quiets as the door swings open. First, Yaoyao’s voice, “I bet you’re all starving! Lao Jiu—” and then footsteps coming toward Gu Yiran’s hospital bed, too light and quick to be Zheng Bei’s. There’s a hurried shushing from the corner. The door closes too fast to admit a second person.  Gu Yiran’s eyes are already open. He’s already disappointed.

from the third draft! hopefully the penultimate draft - at least the one scene i have drafted feels like it's only about a draft worth of revision from being done, so i'm optimistic. i'm trying a new thing where i am simultaneously constructing the "outline" / very chaotic list of events by scene for the third draft while also starting to write it. i think i'm liking it so far.
