The snow was falling softly outside the window, painting the landscape white. The house was warm and cozy, illuminated by the twinkling lights of the Christmas tree you had decorated together a few nights before. A soft Christmas playlist, carefully chosen by Levi, played in the background as you focused on decorating the gingerbread cookies you had just baked.

Your hand trembled slightly as you tried to draw a Santa hat on a gingerbread man with red icing. Levi stood beside you, the sleeves of his gray hoodie rolled up, his face relaxed and serene. He kept glancing at you affectionately, but you were so focused that you barely noticed.

“Love,” he said in a low, warm voice, stepping a little closer. His hand rested lightly on your waist, making you jump slightly.

“What is it?” you asked, not looking up, too engrossed in perfecting the cookie’s details.

“Nothing,” Levi murmured, tilting his head slightly to get a better look at you. His gaze grew more intense, and a small smile tugged at his lips. “You just look so adorable when you make that concentrated face.”

You glanced at him briefly, trying not to lose control of the icing. “You’re here to help decorate the cookies, not distract me,” you reminded him, feigning a stern tone.

But Levi didn’t seem interested in going back to his task. He moved even closer until you could feel the warmth of his breath against your cheek. “I can’t help it,” he whispered, and before you could respond, his lips brushed against the side of your neck.

“Levi!” you protested, laughing as you tried to push him away with your elbow, but it was already too late. He wrapped his arms around you, pulling you gently toward him. “The cookies will get cold, and you haven’t even decorated one!”

“Who cares about the cookies?” he said, playful yet tender, as he pressed a kiss to your cheek and then to the tip of your nose. His gaze softened even further as it met yours. “If I had to choose, I’d rather just be here with you.”

Your heart melted instantly, though you tried not to let it show. “You can’t use sweet words like that to convince me to stop working,” you muttered, though the smile on your lips betrayed you.

“I don’t need to convince you,” Levi replied, lowering his voice as he planted another light kiss, this time on your chin. “You know you’d rather give up and spend time with me.”

You shook your head, trying to seem more determined than you actually felt. “And who’s going to decorate the cookies, then?” you asked, as he gently turned you toward him, causing the icing in your hand to slip onto the table.

“We’ll decorate them later,” Levi said without hesitation. “Or we can leave them as they are. They’re already perfect—just like you.”

You felt yourself melt again as he gazed at you with those deep, loving eyes. Before you could reply, Levi leaned in again and kissed you, this time with more intensity, making you forget about the cookies entirely. His hands rested gently on your waist as your arms instinctively wrapped around his neck.

When he finally pulled away, a satisfied smile spread across his face. He caressed your cheek with his thumb and murmured, “Now it feels like Christmas.”

You both laughed as you tried to clean up the spilled icing. “Fine,” you conceded, shaking your head in amusement, “but next time, you’re actually going to help with the cookies!”

“Promise,” Levi replied, though the way he looked at you suggested he’d never find anything more interesting than you.

If you ever thought about saying something into the store intercoms like in those viral videos but didn’t know when to do it or what to say,

- If you’re an American citizen and especially if you’re white, when people start running you run with them. Draw attention away from those in danger, they cannot deport you, running is not illegal. „I thought we were running because there was a shooter“

- If you’re an American citizen, especially if you’re white and especially if you’re MAGA presenting, when you see ICE talk their ears off and waste their time

- Ask them for a warrant

- Tell them you don’t believe the warrant is real

- tell them you don’t believe they are really from ICE

- You have the right to remain silent

- Do not leave comments anywhere on social media along the lines of „I worry for my best friend“, „I worry for my neighbours“. If you already did go find them and delete them immediately. Do not give them hints where to look.

- do not tell anyone, that includes friends and family, even your spouse, about anyone you think might be a target for ICE or their whereabouts. You don’t know where they are, and wherever they are they came there legally.

The Great Cooking Disaster

Person A: Hey, remember when I thought I could cook a gourmet meal last weekend? 😂

Person B: Oh no, what happened? Did you end up ordering pizza again?

Person A: Close! I tried making homemade pasta from scratch. I watched this super fancy video, and I felt like a chef!

Person B: Ooo, fancy! How did that go?

Person A: Step one: Gather ingredients. I somehow turned “a pinch of salt” into an entire salt shaker. My dough tasted like it was seasoned by a pirate. 🧂🏴‍☠️

Person B: LOL! That’s one way to make it “salty.” What happened next?

Person A: Kneading the dough. The chef made it look like a dance. I looked like an octopus trying to play Twister!

Person B: I wish I could’ve seen that! Did you at least roll it out well?

Person A: If by "well" you mean “floppy pancake,” then yes! I think I invented a new pasta shape: floppy-roni. 😂

Person B: Floppy-roni? That sounds like a new dish at a bad diner! How did it taste?

Person A: Well, after boiling it, I left the kitchen for a second. Came back to a bubbling monster that looked like it was trying to escape the pot!

Person B: You’re kidding! Did you at least salvage it?

Person A: I served it with a straight face, calling it “Chaos Pasta.” My family tried to hold back laughter while eating it.

Person B: That’s a solid family memory! “Chaos Pasta” could be a hit if you market it right. 😆

Person A: Next time, I’m sticking to cereal. Less chaos, more success! 🥣
