Hello my name is Abby
and ya girl needs help
As we all know, times are tough. Times have been tough round these parts specifically because I am now disabled. Last year I got diagnosed with Primary Progressive MS and have a lot of mobility issues. I am lucky enough to work from home (and am able to work at all) but all the changing expenses with my condition have added up. So much so, I owe $1200 to my community in back fees. Nor am I able to move like I wanted to a more accessible apartment.
And listen, I am not asking for y'all to break y'all's backs for a stranger on the Internet. But if you got a couple of bucks you could throw a Black queer disabled woman, it would mean the world to me.
And if not for me, do it for the cats:

I got to be the prettiest boygirl at the party last night, DJ-ing rocks man.
It was a nice little adult prom being run as a fundraiser for the community theatre-that I am a charter member of. I had a very good time.
I was able to get people laughing and dancing! I got to see queer couples dance together! I saw so many beautiful dresses!! The food was pretty good-apparently the alcohol was too, I don’t drink but my ginger beer was fantastic. Parties are so fun!!
(Being queer in public is so fun. I looked awesome, and so did everyone else.)

supporting communities & people impacted by the Southport attack and the far-right riots in the UK
here is a list of community fundraisers I found, starting with those aiming to support the Southport community after the appalling attack at a children dance party, to the fundraisers helping those affected by the subsequent racist and Islamophobic far-right/nazi riots
Edited on 5 August to include Middlesbrough fundraisers. Edited on 6 August to correct the link on the Books for Spellow Lane fundraiser, to adjust the name change for the Belfast fundraiser, and to adjust the wording in the second last paragraph.
Southport:
Southport Strong Together Appeal - organised by the community foundation for Merseyside, for those affected by the Southport knife attack
United for Southport families - the funds will be distributed among the nine families of the children who were at the party
Swifties for Southport - a fundraiser for the Alder Hey Children's charity, which supports the victims and the affected families, as well as first responders and clinicians. Extra funds will also support the wider Southport community
Fundraiser for the Southport Mosque - a fundraiser to aid rebuilding or possibly re-locating the Southport Mosque after the damages it suffered during the riots
Rebuilding Windsor Mini Mart - fundraiser to rebuild the locally-owned grocery store that was targeted during the attacks, broken into, and looted
Liverpool:
Fundraiser for the Spellow Hub - the Spellow Hub was broken into, looted and set on fire at night during the riots. The Spellow Hub is a newly created one-of-a-kind (in the UK) institution, which consists of a library as well as a community centre with a mission to help people get education and pathways to work
Books for Spellow Lane - another fundraiser for the library in the Spellow Hub, to replace the books and rebuild the library there edit: included the correct link
Hartlepool:
Fundraiser for the Nasir Mosque - the Nasir Mosque was attacked following Southport riots; this fundraiser is organised by Hartlepool citizens to help the mosque deal with the damages as well as to show appreciation for the role of the mosque in the community. edit: the funds will be also distributed to the local community!
Rebuilding the Farm Shop - the shop was targeted during the riots, and when the owner and his son tried to protect it, they were also violently attacked. The fundraiser is to help fix the damages to the store.
Sunderland:
help rebuild Citizens Advice Sunderland offices after arson - two of the Citizens Advice Sunderland offices were set on fire during the riots, and one of them is completely destroyed.
Hull:
Hull Help for Refugees - a local fundraiser to support the Hull Help for Refugees charity, the donated money will be re-distributed to community members affected by the riots
Fundraiser for Hull Help for Refugees and Welcome House in Hull - collected money will be donated to the two charities
Belfast:
help fix racially motivated damages - originally the fundraiser for the Sahara Shisha Cafe which was targeted by the far right in Belfast during the riots, now a fundraiser for all affected businesses in the area. edited to reflect the change of the name of the fundraiser to avoid any confusion
Middlesbrough:
Supporting residents after the riots - Middlesbrough has suffered so much during the riots, lots of businesses as well as just regular family homes were vandalised, had their windows smashed or even were broken into. This fundraiser wants to distribute the funds between affected people to help them fix the damages, and to generally support the local community. the newest fundraiser, imo potentially the most urgent one
Fundraiser for a Care worker's car which was set on fire - a car belonging to an employee of a care agency was set on fire during the riots while he was on shift at a care home.
If you want to donate locally but there is no fundraiser to support where you live, consider donating to your local charities oriented towards Muslim or PoC communities, or towards anti-racist and refugee organizations! And go support your local Muslim/Arab/Black/Asian/Refugee owned businesses!
If you have any information about other local fundraisers, feel free to add to the post or don't hesitate to let me know and I will add them here! We have seen so much hate in the past few days, we have to stay strong and keep supporting each other!
Stay safe everyone 💛

Not to talk about the watcher thing again as I’ve already kind of said my piece, but one of the most batshit insane parts of this whole unbelievable situation is that for some reason they decided that for some fucking reason the BEST time to announce this highly controversial decision was literally DAYS before they would be going on an international tour and having to face irate fans IN PERSON. Guys. What the hell. At least have the sensibility to announce a move that you HAD to have known would make people upset AFTER one of the few times you actually interact in person with your fanbase.
I hope you’re ready to investigate the Tower of London for ghosts, because I have a feeling the Londoners will be more than happy to acquaint you with the building later this week.
Insane move after insane move. Truly.

Trans Man in Florida needs help with HRT and groceries.
I was trying REALLY hard to avoid dealing with the same situation I get put in almost EVERY year, where my prescriptions all run out right before the holidays and I get to spend 2-3 months completely unmedicated until my doctors finally have appointment slots in late February to mid March. I'm working things out with my clinic rn now when it comes to my antidepressants, but my HRT is another story.
I was supposed to have three more refills left on my testosterone, but those refills expired without me realizing, and because I missed a lab appointment earlier this month (because I was too broke to pay for it), they won't give me anymore until I come in for an appointment. I've managed to snag one for the 4th, but it's going to cost around $250, which I really really don't have right now.
I was already gearing up to swallow my dignity and make a begging post for different reasons. because with the way our bills have lined up for November, we're dangerously close to being short on rent (and paying it late as it is) and have absolutely NOTHING to put towards groceries except the $20 I currently have in my wallet.
I hate having to rely on the mercy of strangers, but dear god, I'm terrified of being hungry and under/unmedicated for another month (or longer). I can't keep doing this.

my friend harmony is a disabled trans lesbian who has been homeless for almost two months now , relying solely on the kindness of strangers to make ends meet . after all this time , she’s finally caught a break – her cousin has extended an invitation to live with her and has offered to help her get a job at her place of work . this is absolutely fantastic news and i’m so so excited for harmony to get back on her feet !!
the only issue is that her cousin lives roughly 2000 miles across the country . harmony is ready to go whenever , she just needs a little more help: she’s disabled and cannot drive for super long periods of time , so she will need to stop and stay at a hotel a few times along the way ( ~$200 ) . she also needs gas to fill up her tank ( ~$250 ) and food to eat ( ~$50 ) .
all together , she only needs about $500 to make this trip . if you can spare anything at all , please send a few dollars her way ! i know we’re all struggling , so if you can’t afford to help monetarily , please boost this post !! harmony is so so close to finally being in a stable situation again . thank you for reading !!!

Hello, tumblr! I mentioned this in my stream last night with my friend and collaborator @lakemojave, but here is the official tumblr announcement: I've started a fundraiser to pay for GAS that I can't afford on my own.
I...try my best to appear pretty unflappable on this site, because my online persona relies on that. But about two years ago I was harassed by TE/RFs and no matter how much I tried to forget or get over it, there was a comment that a 17 year old made towards my appearance the has probably been the most devastating thing I've ever felt, and ever since that insult I've grown steadily and steadily more disgusted and anxious about my appearance--specifically my hair.
As an AMAB trans person, I'm of course going to experience male-pattern baldness. Even in cisgender men, more than 75% of them experience some form of heightened anxiety and dysphoria due to hair loss or fear of it. I don't know how those numbers change when talking about trans people, but I can't imagine it's not even higher.
In the interest of full transparency at the cost of, frankly, my pride: I have reached the point in my dysphoria where I am growing to be borderline suicidal. I've struggled with suicidal ideation since I was a young teenager, but this is the first time in over a decade that I've reached a level where I am terrified what will happen when it gets worse.
And so with all that said, I've started a fundraiser on PayPal to try and raise money for my gender-affirming care. Y'all might remember me from the Great Soy Sauce Conspiracy of late December of last year, and maybe also how I stopped working on the project due to mental health reasons. I remember how kind all of you were when I was struggling with living newly on my own trying to afford food and things like convection plates, and it's my hope that I could rely on you all to help me again.
With that said, I've made the decision that if I am able to fulfill this fundraiser's cost...I'm going to pick back up The Mysterious Appearance of Miss Appleton and finally finish it once and for all...in video essay format, because that feels most appropriate to me. I think I'm going to be ready for it this time.
If you've read this far, thank you so much. If you need it, though:
TLDR: I need to get myself gender-affirming surgery because i'm getting real close to suicidal over my dysphoria. I've made a fundraiser for it. If the fundraiser is successful, I'm going to finally finish the video essay for The Mysterious Appearance Of Miss Appleton. Thank you for your time and your help.

We Need Your Support Now More Than Ever
Hello friends.
We are LGBTIQ refugees from East Africa, and we are facing unimaginable challenges in the refugee camps where we have been displaced. Every day, we struggle to survive in hostile environments filled with homophobia and persecution. Our lives are constantly at risk, and we need your help to make it through these difficult times.
Despite the challenges, we have some good news to share! The first group of LGBTIQ refugees from our community is finally heading to Canada. This is a huge milestone for us, and it wouldn't have been possible without your incredible support. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has stood by us, and we ask that you continue to support us in whatever way you can.
But we still have a long way to go. Many of us remain in these camps, living in fear and uncertainty. We are asking, kindly, for your donations to our fundraiser. Every penny counts—whether it’s for food, medication, or shelter, your contribution helps us survive another day.
Even though it's difficult to keep asking, we can’t stop. Our lives and futures depend on your generosity. Please, if you can, donate to our cause. Together, we can create a safer future for our community.
Thank you for your continued support, and let’s keep moving forward.
Other ways to Donate.⬇️
With gratitude,
Phill and the LGBTIQ refugee community

New donors needed to help keep Scarleteen’s queer, trans and gender nonconforming sex educators going!
Tumblr media
We, the queer and trans, staff & volunteers at Scarleteen spend the vast majority of our time giving support. We very actively maintain a friendly and accessible website full of resources, advice and information, and provide a caring, safe and patient environment in all of our direct services. We continue to make a massive contribution towards sexuality education as a whole, as we have for the whole of our 25 year tenure. Everywhere we go we receive thanks from educators and service workers for the motivation we, and our founder Heather Corinna, have given them to do incredible work in their communities. However, for our daily survival and our dreams of the future, we need support too!
Unless our current trajectory changes we will not have the funding this year to give our volunteers end-of-year stipends to reward their generous efforts, nor bring our codirectors’ wages any closer to industry standard or even industry average rates of pay for their positions and tenure - averages which we continue to undershoot by quite some margin, nor will we be able to reimburse those staff for the many hours they have worked in excess of their basic 30 hours a week. We will also be unable to increase their healthcare benefits which for one disabled member of our team, will have been exceeded 4 times over by actual healthcare costs by the end of the year, which they have had to pay for out-of-pocket.
As part of our annual Pride celebration we are asking you to consider becoming one of the 50 (and fabulous) new recurring donors we are determined to find this week! Please consider supporting a few good queer & trans people to help us continue to deliver queer sex and relationships education, info and support, which remains free and open to all.
Recurring monthly donations of $10 or more are part of the treasured community of donors who give us peace of mind like nothing else can. We will need a further 250 recurring donors at that level or the financial equivalent to keep us on-track for our most modest projections through the coming years, so whatever help you can give us today to exceed our initial target of 50 will be cherished by us more than you can know.
Here’s some ways to help:
If you can become a new monthly donor, please do! We would love to welcome you to our valued bunch of fabulous supporters!
If you are already a donor, please consider tacking on an extra $10 per month, even temporarily, if you can!
If you cannot currently afford to donate an increased amount, or cannot donate at all, please consider reaching out to someone who you think can, so that eventually we can find that new donor. (And if you manage to sign someone up, do let us know so we can thank you!)
If you only want to or can give us a one-time donation we will still be incredibly grateful for that help at any level. We know a thing or 12 about deep financial limitations and having to choose very carefully where you give.
Please go to scarleteen.com/donate to begin your monthly donation, or if you have further questions head to scarleteen.com/contact drop us a message.
Thank you once more for your support and for being your queer/trans/allied/otherwise-awesome self,
Yours sincerely,
The Scarleteam …
of Scarleteen: queer sex ed for all since 1998❤️

Hi all! I am a sixth year medical student from Gaza my journey began in Gaza, where i had been steadfastly studying to become a doctor and serve his community. After the Israeli military bombed both my home and the hospital was practicing in, i sought temporary refuge in Egypt. From then on, i aimed to gradually finish my final semester in Turkey.
However, as promising as this opportunity is, it comes with its own set of challenges. Living expenses, accommodation, and basic needs in Turkey are beyond what Mohammed can afford. He needs to raise $14,000 (GFM processing fees included) to cover hisliving expenses for the 12 months he will be in Turkey and he aims to dedicate a sizable amount towards evacuation funds for his aunt's family in Gaza. This amount will secure a room to rent, daily necessities, and allow him to focus on his studies as he provides a lifeline for his family.
This is where we need your support. No amount is too small, and 100% of what you contribute will go towards covering Mohammed's living expenses in Turkey and his family's evacuation funds. Thank you for your time and please share this campaign with your friends, family, and any healthcare worker orgs for Palestine.

Hey everyone, this is a different post than I'd normally make, but I've been dealing with urgent hardship, poverty, and food/housing instability, and it's escalated to the point where I am desperate for mutual aid support.
Ko-Fi here: https://ko-fi.com/jest_er
I am also able to take ca/shapp or ven/mo, please DM for those. Donors can ask for art with some kind of proof, I'm just unsure when I can get to those. Please understand that my situation is not stable atm.
It's hard to admit this stuff publicly, but while I've been able to scrape by for 6+ months on my own, my situation keeps worsening. I'm really sorry to ask for help, I've always been a private person who wanted to avoid asking online, but I've finally hit a point where I don't have many options. While I'm still in contact with family, I don't have monetary support from them & am hoping for a miracle to get through this.
It's hard to be so up front with what my situation has been like, but up until about a month ago I was struggling with enough money to afford food for at least one meal a day. I skipped multiple days every week to ensure that I didn't run out of food, and have regularly emptied my fridge/pantry to the limits before I allowed myself to spend meager amounts on enough to sustain me. Things are still shaky in that department for me, but manageable. However spending so much out of pocket on food has led to me struggling to afford basic necessities. Running out of things like trash bags, toothpaste, shampoo, etc. is a nightmare, and leads to expenses that I just can't deal with. I'm facing housing insecurity and am really just at a wall where I dont know what to fucking do. Anything helps and I really really mean it.
