Also, while I will admit to having a talent for writing, a lot of my current skill level is the twenty-three years of practice I've had to hone it, so! (hands you a cool notebook and what just happens to be your favorite writing implement) Either give it a go or keep going yourself! If you can, join a writing class or two, if that's not your style, find a writer's group you can join (either online or irl) - those are definitely things that I've found helpful.
