Andy Kroll and Nick Surgey at ProPublica:
ProPublica and Documented obtained more than 14 hours of never-before-published videos from Project 2025’s Presidential Administration Academy, which are intended to train the next conservative administration’s political appointees “to be ready on day one.” Project 2025, the controversial playbook and policy agenda created by the Heritage Foundation and its allies for a future conservative presidential administration, has lost its director. In recent weeks, it faced scathing criticism from both Democratic groups and former President Donald Trump, whose campaign has tried to distance itself from the effort. But Project 2025’s plan to train an army of political appointees who could battle against the so-called deep state government bureaucracy remains on track. Video trainings like these are one of the “four pillars” of that plan, says Spencer Chretien, the associate director of Project 2025, in “Political Appointees & The Federal Workforce.” For transparency, we are publishing the videos as we obtained them.
The Heritage Foundation and most of the people who appear in the videos cited in this story did not respond to ProPublica’s repeated requests for comment. Karoline Leavitt, a spokesperson for the Trump campaign, said, “As our campaign leadership and President Trump have repeatedly stated, Agenda 47 is the only official policy agenda from our campaign.”
ProPublica and Documented partner up to reveal 14+ hours’ worth of never-before-published videos from The Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 Presidential Administration Academy.

Students need our support right now.
As of April 28, over 800 (now 900) students have been arrested for protesting on campuses. Instead of listening to student demands, university presidents are calling the police and armed guards to shut down their activism.
Like a majority of people in the U.S., students want a ceasefire in Gaza and an end to genocide.
It has been over 200 days of Israeli massacres of Palestinians. It must end.
Students have played a pivotal role in changing the course of history, helping bring an end to the Vietnam War and South Africa's apartheid. And once again, students are making history.
Students are demanding that universities divest from corporations profiting from Israel's apartheid and genocide. They will not be silenced.
Take action with us. Email 27 university presidents and chancellors responding to nonviolent dissent with punishment and violence.
** Once you send emails on the first tab you will get moved to the next tab with more targets. The list keeps growing.

Idk about you but CNN and news outlets calling students occupiers for peacefully protesting for divestments of a colony state that is currently occupying Palestine and murdering it civilians, attacking infrastructure and hospitals, while commiting genocide is insane.
"But but the protests make it hard for the students to learn it's disruptive!" People will say shit like this when Palestinians can't even learn or live a normal life because they are being bombed, killed, and starved of essential resources needed to live. Their schools have been bombed and destroyed and yet we have people complaining about a peaceful protests wanting to put an end to any investments that support this genocide and destruction. CNN, major news outlets, and campus faculty members calling the police on students should be ashamed for what they have done.
With some good news though student protestors got Brown University to hold a vote on whether they should divest soon in exchange for dropping the encampment. Students have said that they will still organize to make sure they vote to divest from Israel though but the main point is that protesting students managed to force a vote on this. Protests work and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.

okay so i need a degree to get a job but i need a job to pay for a degree and the degree won't guarantee me a job unless I get ANOTHER degree which I need a job to get that the previous degree isn't guaranteed to get me? on top of that I need to take out more money than I'll ever make in a year and pay it off while the amount slowly gets higher? and this is supposedly a completely fair system that every single person is recommended to go into for from the moment they enter high school to the point people (like myself) go to college without even figuring out the degree they're going for because it's what they're supposed to do? and nobody sees a problem with this? at all? at any point of this process? this is fine?

Cheyenne Haslett at ABC News:
In two court rulings Monday night, federal judges in Kansas and Missouri halted key aspects of President Joe Biden's sweeping student loan repayment program. The SAVE plan, a student loan repayment plan that ties how much someone pays each month to what their income is, has been in place for almost a year and is the jewel of Biden's surviving student loan efforts -- one that he has touted heavily in his re-election campaign. The rulings Monday will stop the Biden administration from any further implementation of the program -- in which 8 million are enrolled -- but allow people who are enrolled to keep using SAVE as is until the cases are fully litigated. That means phase two of SAVE, which would've reduced monthly payments from 10% of a borrower's discretionary income down to 5%, is on pause, as is any further cancellation of debt for people who took out smaller initial loan payments and have been paying for 10-plus years. SAVE is similar to other income-driven repayment plans, which have been used for decades but are more generous because of lower monthly payments -- people who make a minimum wage can pay as little as $0 a month -- as well as a shorter path to debt relief.
Through SAVE so far, Biden has canceled $5.5 billion in debt for almost 414,000 borrowers. The lawsuits were brought by Republican states who argued that the Biden administration lacked authority from Congress to enact the SAVE plan -- the same states that fought to overturn Biden's initial debt relief plan last year.
Large portions of President Biden’s student loan forgiveness program SAVE have been blocked by a pair of judges in Missouri and Kansas.

Progressive lawmakers and rights advocates on Wednesday implored U.S. President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party to listen to young voters who oppose the government's funding of Israel's bombardment of Gaza, as the party's student organization announced its support for campus anti-war protests that have spread across the country over the past two weeks.
The College Democrats of America refuted Biden's suggestion last week that the protests are inherently antisemitic and urged the president to listen to the widespread calls for him to demand a permanent cease-fire in Gaza and end funding for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), which is set to receive an additional $17 billion following Biden's signing of a foreign aid bill last week.
By failing to listen to those demands—backed by 77% and 56% of Democratic voters, respectively, according to recent polling—Biden risks losing crucial support from the voting bloc that the College Democrats has been tasked with engaging for decades.
"As College Democrats, we are committed to the re-election of President Biden and Democrats across down-ballot races in every corner of our nation," the organization said. "However, as representatives of youth across the country, we reserve the right to criticize our own party when it fails to represent youth voices... As young voters, we are well aware that come November, our votes will determine who wins the White House. The White House has taken the mistaken route of a bear-hug strategy for [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu and a cold-shoulder strategy for its own base and all Americans who want to see an end to this war."

talking to my coworking buddy just reminded me how my college banned “body party” by ciara in response to some students campaigning for a new policy banning misogynistic music at events on campus. that was literally the only song they banned
