I need to say this – even though for now I choose to believe that Ben's girlfriend isn't real, there is a chance that she is real and he's just really awkward about it.

But, if she is real and they are really dating, I will be very disappointed with the showrunners. Because there is no way in hell they don't know what they are doing. I'm not just talking about the heavily suggestive moment of silence before Ben said that his gf lived in Europe. I'm also talking about Ben stealing longing glances at Darius in Chaos Theory. I'm also talking about many moments in Camp Cretaceous where Ben was looking at Kenji looking like an enamored puppy. I'm also talking about benrius scenes in Camp Cretaceous that could hint that in the future they could be something romantic. I'm also talking about Ben being fiercely supportive of yasammy – yes, he is a great friend but taking into consideration everything else, it always felt like there was something more to his support. I'm also talking about Darius and Sammy being outright weirded out when Ben mentioned a girlfriend (almost as if they also possibly suspected that he didn't swing this way).

There are many, many clues and hints towards the fact that Ben is actually gay (yes, I am aware that he could be bi but... most of us agree that he never felt bi-coded). And I think that a lot of moments in Chaos Theory cemented that gay-coded agenda – him speaking about his girlfriend just doesn't fit, it stands out as if those lines weren't originally written for him. And I believe that the showrunners must realize that to some capacity. If Ben really has a girlfriend it is going to be extremely disappointing because it would mean that all this time they were baiting us and it's just really upsetting (especially when we take into consideration yasammy being canon which proves that the showrunners aren't afraid of giving us lgbtq+ rep – but for some reason, they decided to make Ben straight for the sake of a "plot twist" or something...)

likeee hes really really intelligent like genius level but has very little social intelligence and also very little emotional intelligence but that doesn't stop him from caring and loving deeply it just makes it hard for him to express himself to his loved ones or give them the advice they need sometimes. and he comes into the server like not naive but very wide-eyed and trusting and purgatory leveled that to the ground. he is emotionally volatile constantly and despite him saying that he's not effected by things his responses to 1) Fred's "death" 2) hideduos date and 3) Empanda's death via eyeworker says otherwise. he claims to be extremely self aware but he is not, well sometimes he is but he will not talk about it he'd rather die. he's so unserious and takes the world at arms length except for his daughter who is his #1 reason for living. he can be a piece of shit often and laughs in the face of vulnerability but he'll always come and apologize afterwards. he's just a guy he just turned 20 and hes a single father and also a master engineer and idk man idk

This part focuses on Quincey in particular instead of everyone, "Quincey raised his eyebrows slightly and looked at her intently", and I wonder if it connects with what he had said before: "And I promise you, too, that I shall make all certain, for if I am only doubtful I shall take it that the time has come!" Because Quincey is the one who always clocks on the situation at hand first, and patrols for threats (and if he spots one he shoots first asks questions later)

He does clock things very fast and takes action just as quickly. When he's facing the right way.

But in this scene, our favorite Texan isn't looking the right way or even reacting safely as much as he is quick about it. Even if his reaction was entirely innocent surprise, the fact that he made clear how ready he was to serve Mina's euthanasia request--seemingly with more readiness than even Dr. Jack Malpractice who must 'steel' himself to the idea--has absolutely stuck in Jonathan's mind.

Hence Jonathan death gripping the kukri as Quincey gets (to his eyes) the wrong kind of interested.

The whole story could have gone very nasty very fast if Mr. 'You've yeed your last haw' Morris had made a wrong move at that moment.

meta thoughts and character analysis on hold for a minute, etoiles as a resistance member is just so cool. resistance member etoiles who’s being smart in trying to sus out who else knows, realizing it’s just him. resistance member etoiles who instantly knew flippa was a code, because he knows the codes from how they’ve fought. resistance member etoiles who can recognize that the bg of the egg photos just might be the resistance hq. who’s the only one sworn in but has made it very clear if anything hurts his family on the island his loyalty is gone - who knows it won’t be a problem because he can take the codes on, he can take just about anything. he’s just so badass dude idk idk idk

:BLUSHYSMILEYCATEMOJI: hehehe well, it is mostly done, it just needs the polishing up for proper posting display with the accompanied drawn diagrams and colour coding (also it's quite old at this point, started working on it a year ago and wanted to work on lore stuff so I put it on hold, so the doodles look kinda bad but oh well alsjdfsdfj). The one main thing I just have to make her Reformed Mordrem minions to display the rest with the little visual diagrams, but I can post what I have done here so far <3 (this is actually the first time I've posted the updated state of this WIP since I last talked about it last year lskjfs. So sorry in advance if some of this seems janky as I haven't gone over it in a hot minute) Note: I also wanna redo the icon thing to be more of an eye instead of the lotus since it makes more sense literally and thematically and to just try to make it look better in general. For context my OC Mourynn/Vallotash (same person kinda) is Mordremoth's (parasitic) Scion in a weird imposter (syndrome) situation (leaving that bit out for now), and her whole thing was inspired by the ??? area in Jahai bluffs with the one quote that inspired her existence "Are you a dragon dreaming that it's a hero? If you were, how would you know?", where the area also matches her colours thematically too, and why her Mesmer abilities all revolve around hallucinations and tapping into the "Dragon of mind/plant, roots/madness, etc." where the spec also evolves slowly over time as she develops, but it does get amped up during LS1 with Scarlet being responsible for kickstarting it (as she brainwashed Mourynn to help cultivate the Dreamthistle into the Toxic Offshoots, and from there with HoT and so on as things got worse and this just evolved into it's own thing, haha). Super abridging explanations (and badly lol) since I feel that part with the Toxic Alliance and those spores were an important step towards this becoming what it is. Also I still need to decide on names for some things, but oh well ;w; ANYWAYS! Mourynn's custom Mesmer elite spec (WIP):
